It has been a while I know. I started writing other stories and then I went back and fixed grammatical errors in my stories and fixed as much as possible. I don't even think I fixed them all but I tried my best.
This story, my first fanfic is coming to an end and it means so much to me! I hope you all enjoy the next couple chapters!
Sesshomaru had to keep Rin busy for the day. As much as he hated it, he gave her a pile of work to do. She questioned why so much work for the day and he simply says that is what she signed up for.
"Since you want to give me everybody's work in the company, what are you going to do all day?"
"I am your boss Rin, do not question me?"
Rin looks at him with a glare and Sesshomaru knows that could possibly mean trouble.
Rin responds, "Okay boss" sarcastically.
Sesshomaru turns to leave, "Good day Rin".
Rin says under her breath, " Good day to you, ya damn jerk!"
Sesshomaru hears it but ignores it, he knows he will pay for that later but he had to keep her busy and her not being nosey of his whereabouts.
Sesshomaru sends a car for Kagome, he did not want to be seen in the same vehicle. Sesshomaru has a private jeweler, and they would look at different cuts, shapes, and designs. They would customize it to their liking, more of Sesshomaru's liking of course.
Kagome arrives and she walks into the private owned jewelry store. "OMG Sesshomaru! The time has come. I am so excited!"
Sesshomaru stoic as ever just ignores her outburst.
"Good evening Mr. Inutaisho I picked out some sample rings that I think you will approve of. You can also pick different designs from the other rings to help customize the ring you want".
Kagome and Sesshomaru sit and look over the items. Kagome was excited over every single last one. Sesshomaru thought she was no longer needed since she could not concentrate on one in specific.
"Okay down to business. I see you are already annoyed big bro!"
Sesshomaru grunts, that annoyed him even more that she referred to him as her older sibling.
"Even though the ring will be mostly for her, I think some kind of symbolism of you should be a part of this ring," says the jeweler.
Sesshomaru thought about the suggestion and thought he could add his clan's crescent moon as soon as they figure out the design.
"Kagome what do you suggest? I will tell you if this Sesshomaru approves of it or not".
Kagome with a determined face, "I got this!"
Kagome thought the shape of the diamond should be round. Sesshomaru chose 5 carats of the best quality. She also suggested the ring head should be 3 stones instead of one.
"Is there a different color stone that draws your interest, or do you want regular diamond head stones?" says the jeweler.
"Ruby" Sesshomaru says.
"That is different, but it is always nice to see something different. The main stone will be diamond and these two will be ruby, excellent". says the jeweler.
Sesshomaru thought a single twist for the ring mount because it looked like the infinity sign and that made him think of their life together. The life they would have together, it would be until infinity.
"This is coming out really nice Sesshomaru, seems like you already had it together, but I am glad I am here to see behind the scenes".
Sesshomaru nods and looks at a ring and says, "I want the sides to be like this one".
The jeweler looks at it and says, "That is what we call a bead side setting. I will add that on".
Kagome says, "You know what will be adorable if you alternated the diamond and ruby on the sides".
"You are useful".
Kagome grunts, "Thank you Sesshomaru, I will take that as a compliment".
They both agreed the side stones length should only be halfway. The metal would be platinum. Sesshomaru thought the carving should have small crescent moons going through out the shank of the ring.
The jeweler made the design on the computer and showed it to them.
"This is beautiful Sesshomaru. Rin will absolutely love this!"
Sesshomaru purred and was very appeased at the thought of Rin being overjoyed at him presenting her the engagement ring. He didn't know how long he would keep it together until her graduation.
"It does not matter the cost, could you have it ready as soon as possible?"
"For you Mr. Inutaisho, I can have it ready in two days".
Sesshomaru nods and turns to Kagome. "You were not that much help, but it was nice to have you here. Rin would appreciate this Sesshomaru for having you here even though you were not much help at all".
"Geez would it hurt you to be nice Sesshomaru! I am your girl's best friend so that means I know the ins and out of your relationship and the person she comes to for advice. I am her shoulder to lean on when you mess up, so don't forget that you jerk!"
"My apologies if you took what I said as rude". Sesshomaru wondered if there was anything Rin wanted to discuss regarding their relationship. Kagome may just be talking shit, but she may be right when it comes down to her being Rin's shoulder to lean on. So, he would let it go, that is her best friend.
They leave to go their separate ways. While Sesshomaru is driving back to the office, he calls Jaken.
"Yes, my lord".
"What have you completed regarding Rin's graduation".
"We will have a graduation celebration at the grand hall at one of our venues. I have sent out invitations and I asked everyone to keep it a secret. I have a caterer, a DJ, waiters, a bartender. Everything is pretty much done my lord".
"Excellent!"
Sesshomaru could not wait to see the look on his mate's face when she see's everything he has done without her knowledge. He even wondered how it would be when he gets down on his knee and asks for her hand. Will she say yes, or will she say no? He hoped that she understood what it meant now to be his mate and that she would accept his proposal.
He arrives at the condo they share due to construction of their home. He hoped the construction would be done by time Rin graduates or by time the wedding. He just wanted his future wife to be comfortable.
Sesshomaru enters the home, and he is greeted by his smiling mate.
"I have not seen you all day. What have you been doing babe?"
"I was running around doing some errands, tying up some loose ends".
"I see you are in a better mood now. What was up with tude earlier?"
"I apologize for that, I was a little distracted earlier".
"Does not make it right Sesshomaru".
Sesshomaru nods, "You are right, I should have not took it out on you".
"I can take that".
Sesshomaru did not want Rin upset when he truly was just trying to get things together for her special day and his surprise.
"Okay well I have everything set for graduation. I am so excited that it is finally over. I am so grateful that you came into my life. I have everything I could ask for and more".
Sesshomaru lifts Rin up on the island, "I love you" he says.
Rin smiles, "I love you too".
Sesshomaru then goes to kiss Rin. "What was that for?"
"Because I wanted to do it".
Rin giggles, "Okay so what would like for dinner?"
Sesshomaru looks at the island, "I remember tasting you on something like this. I could have that for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also for dessert".
"Sesshomaru! Is that why you put me up here?" Rin says blushing.
"Maybe, or because you are short, and I needed you to be eye level, but I could go for you being my appetizer".
"You are so crazy" Rin jumps off the island.
"I was serious Rin" Sesshomaru frowns.
"Well with the way you were acting earlier, you will not get a taste tonight" she says using her pointer finger motioning no.
Sesshomaru annoyed, she punishes me, after everything today I wanted to fuck her so good tonight, the day was going so good.
" I am going to cook dinner, and just because you barely eat, you forget I am human; I need nutrition too".
Sesshomaru was not going to argue. He could get use to these types of nights, well just any day with Rin. He never expected to want any of this, but he would not give it up for the world. Even the arguing or getting in trouble by his mate, he would not trade it at all.
