Authors Note: I thought this would be the last chapter but it was too long so I split the chapter, so it is now 23 chapters.
Hope you enjoy the last couple chapters. I really appreciate everyone that supported this story even when I had crazy grammatical errors lol, it was horrible. I still probably have some. My baby is coming to an end...waaaaa
Sesshomaru was on on edge, he could not face disappointment again, and he needed his seed to take. He completely became obsessed with it. He became annoyed because he could not sense a change in Rin's body. She came into work as if he did not spend 3 days nutting inside of her. He was concerned as to why she was not worrying as much as he was.
"Sesshomaru we need to go over our wedding plans".
Sesshomaru turns to Rin, trying not to sound irritated, "What do you want to discuss?"
"Why does it seem like you have been moodier. Are you worried about your seed taking?"
"So, you know?"
"Yes, I can tell, I can feel your feelings and its annoying! I try to have a good day and you keep moping around!"
Sesshomaru was surprised by her sudden outburst.
"It is not my intention to upset you Rin, it's just taking too long and I want to know".
"Well, if you are going to keep acting this way, we will not be sleeping in the same room. I can't even get any sleep".
She must be cranky from feeling my emotions, he thinks.
"I will get with Kagome and the others to discuss the wedding preparations and I will let you know how it goes".
Rin leaves and Sesshomaru does not know why she is not being more understanding of how he feels. He cannot help it; it would give him much pride to know his seed took, and she will have his pup.
She is now saying they had to sleep in separate rooms because he is a disturbance to her. He did not know how long it would take for him to sense her pregnancy. In that time, they will not be sharing a bed; how long would that be? This was all very agitating to Sesshomaru.
Rin finished her paperwork early and called a wedding planner to get everything started. They planned to get married within the next month or so. That would depend on if they were going to use one of the Inutaisho's venues or if their wedding planner finds something extravagant.
"Leave everything in my hands. I will contact you when I find a couple places and see what their availability will be".
"Thank you so much" Rin responds.
Rin meets up with Kagome, Ayame, Sango and Kanna. They have not had a get together or had some girl talk in a while. Sesshomaru was bothered; he needed Rin around. He is very protective right now because of the amount of lovemaking they made.
He felt for sure his seed took this time, so he needed to make sure she was safe at all times. He did not want to feel like a failure because Rin did not get pregnant the last time he knotted in her.
"Hey girls" Rin says walking up to the table where the girls were seated.
They had reservations at a rooftop restaurant. "You are the last one to show up Rin" Kagome says.
"I know and I am sorry. Sesshomaru has been getting on my nerves. He did this last time; he was stalking me and invading my space because I may be pregnant".
"Well, that is what marriage will be Rin. They will get on your nerves, and they will invade your space," Sango says.
"It's different because I am marrying a demon. He was bothered about us not getting pregnant when we mated so he kind of feels like a failure. On the day he proposed, I checked my period tracker and it said I was ovulating at the exact time and for the next couple days. We made a lot of love that night. So now he is moody as fuck, and it makes me cranky because I am not getting sleep proper sleep at night".
The girls just look at Rin with their eyes blinking like TMI, but they could relate to some extent.
Since Kagome is with a demon, half demon she says, "Bear with him, dog demons are proud and it goes deep, it proves their dominancy. Especially with their mate, they always want to please them in every aspect especially when getting pregnant. So yeah, he is taking this hard Rin, he truly feels like a failure. Inuyasha had to explain it to me because it didn't work for us either, so we have been trying as well".
"Awww that is so awesome Kagome. We might get pregnant at the same time".
"That would be so cute" Kagome responds.
"You guys will soon know see how I feel with my bundles of joy," Sango says.
"To change the subject, how is the wedding planning going Rin" says Kanna.
"So far so good, I actually talked to the wedding planner today and she told me not to worry about anything, she will call me if she needs my approval on anything. If things don't work out, we may just use one of Sesshomaru's family venues".
The waiter walks up with food, "We took upon ourselves to order appetizers, we were hungry" says Ayame.
"Looks like things are pretty much good Rin. Are you excited?" says Sango.
"Very much, he may get on my nerves, but I love my big pup with those golden eyes that make me melt".
"Geez marie Rin" Ayame laughs. "Stop being mean to poor Sesshomaru, he is going through emotions, and he is on edge".
"You are right, so what has been going on with the rest of you?"
The girls enjoy the rest of their brunch and ended it with some mimosas. Rin heads home, she knows Sesshomaru is not at the office and since he was not there, she didn't have to be there either.
Rin gets home and Sesshomaru basically runs up to her, he was worried.
"Rin".
"Sesshomaru I am okay, you know where I was".
"But still…". He pauses and something catches his attention in Rin's scent. "Have you been drinking?"
"It was just a couple of mimosas, no big deal".
"Rin you have not been taking me seriously. You know how I feel about you are getting pregnant, and you are drinking?"
Rin felt silly, she literally just told her friends they were trying to get pregnant, and she went and did something silly like that. It is so normal to go out and have a couple drinks with friends that it slipped her mind. She had to realize her life is not the same anymore. She is engaged to be married and she agreed to share her body. She was not ready for Sesshomaru's lecture.
"Yes, I messed up. I forgot,". She thought she could possibly right her wrong really quick and hoped he understood.
"My life has changed instantly, and I slip sometimes. It was not done intentionally because I want this as much as you do. I will never intentionally harm our pup(s). I promise I will think things 100 times over, I wouldn't want to break your heart".
Sesshomaru couldn't be mad at her, it was slip up and she is a human and they tend to make mistakes. So, he will forgive her. He walks up to her and hugs her. "I love you Rin, you couldn't possibly break my heart. It was a mistake, just like you said, you will not let it happen again".
They go off to bed and Rin woke up feeling lightheaded with a banging headache. Sesshomaru must have got up in the middle of the night; he was not in bed with her. She reached in her nightstand and grabbed some advil.
Sesshomaru comes in to check up on her. "I felt your energy, are you not feeling well".
"I think it's something I ate earlier and maybe the drinks I had mixed in. I will be okay; I took a pain reliever".
"I will be in the study; I will be returning to check up on you".
Rin nods and Sesshomaru kisses her forehead.
The next day Rin gets up and ready for her day; she would work from home. She thought about taking a good week off to get a good number of things done.
She had some running around to do today. She had to meet up with the wedding planner for taste testing today. Rin did not expect when she said yes, she would have so many things to juggle. She did not regret any of it for the world; this was only temporarily. She would live her life with Sesshomaru.
Kagome, Ayame, Kanna, and Sango were all going to go dress shopping with her the day after. Kagome would be her maid of honor and the rest of the girls would be her bridesmaids. She was so excited about the upcoming event.
Sesshomaru said he would attend the taste testing with her, but he had to get back to the office and attend some meetings.
"Hey honey", she says innocently. "I was thinking about taking a week off just to get some things in order for the wedding".
Sesshomaru chuckles, "You sound so cute saying that, is it because I am your boss? Either way Rin, you can take the week off. If you are able to get some of your work done from home to lighten the load when you go back to work, then do so".
"Thanks babe!" She gets on her tippytoes and gives him a kiss. Sesshomaru holds her close and kisses her again.
After Sesshomaru and Rin have their moment, they both walk out the door. They leave to go sample some of the food they may have at their wedding. Rin walks in the room and sees the cake and her mouth watered. Sesshomaru looked at her concerned. He has never seen her so excited for food.
Sesshomaru did not care what cake she chose, as long as it made her happy. They went next door to sample the food that would be at the reception. She was instantly hit with so many different aromas and she started to feel nauseous. It was too much, she felt like she was spinning. Sesshomaru notices this and catches her.
"Are you alright Rin? You seem not to be feeling well".
"I think I am overwhelmed; it smells so bad in here".
Sesshomaru looks at her and thought, smells?
Could she be smelling what I am? He thought.
"Can you just take me outside, so I can get some air".
They go outside and Rin instantly feels better, she takes a couple breaths and says she was all right to go back in. Sesshomaru watches her cautiously, he is still concerned if she may or may not be pregnant.
She seemed to be doing a lot better since they walked back went and sampled the food; Rin was eating everything in sight. She was craving everything she saw. She didn't understand why the scents in the room was so overwhelming at first but now she was content and trying to eat everything. Sesshomaru watches his mate and shakes his head, she was simply devouring everything.
"Everything taste great, I want it all". She laughs out.
On their way home, Rin began to feel uneasy. She started to feel lightheaded again. "How much longer do we have until we are home, I need to lay down".
"We are only 5 minutes away". Sesshomaru is really concerned now. Demon pregnancies are different from human pregnancies. Even though the children would be half demon, but they are still demon. They will need nutrients Rin may not produce.
Sesshomaru lifts Rin out of the car and lays her in bed. He disrobes her, slides her shoes off. "You are burning up Rin".
He goes to take a cold rag and puts it on her forehead. "I must have eaten something really bad".
"Or you may be pregnant".
Rin looks up at him with wide eyes, and Sesshomaru nods.
"I will wait it out and see if this fever will die down first. We don't want to speak too fast. If I was, you would be able to sense it and I think you are just assuming. It is still too early to know; Don't you think?"
"You are right; I would be able to sense it. Get some rest".
Sesshomaru walks off disappointed. He thinks maybe it is him, maybe his pup soldiers are not working. He thought maybe he had to be in his demonic form, but his father stated, it didn't need to happen that way. He will wait it out like Rin suggested and try not to obsess about it.
The next day Rin gets up bright and early, she is very excited to go dress shopping with the girls and catch up.
"Do you know Sesshomaru was so pissed at me for drinking? He thought I was being careless because we have been trying. I understood it but it was not done intentionally".
Kagome interjects, "You can't blame them, we are with dog demons. They are very serious about that Rin, so just let him have it".
"Right, let's get to dress shopping girls".
Rin's dress chose a rose gold pink mermaid wedding dress. Lace would be on her entire back and along her sleeves. The lace would have floral prints with pink rhinestones representing the center of the flowers. The dress would have no straps and her train would be royal length and floral, with pink rhinestones along it. Sesshomaru did not care what dress she chose he just wanted to incorporate his clan's crescent moon. He chose a necklace with a pendant of a crescent moon. He would make it rose gold as well.
The maid of honor dress and bridesmaid's dresses would be rose gold as well. Kagome's dress is a ruched bodice one-shoulder trumpet/mermaid chiffon dress with a chapel train. The bridesmaid's dresses were strapless mermaid chiffon gowns.
Rin was elated, she thought about the day she would marry the love of her life and then have all her family and friends attending, would be the best day of her life. Her life could not get any better. She thought about how her life completely changed walking into Inutaisho Tech. So many things happened within a year.
She was accepted to the most influential and most advanced internships at Inutaisho Tech. She met a demon she would fall in love with and later find out she was his mate. She gets a job before graduating, thanks to her fiancé'. She then graduates and then gets proposed to.
Sesshomaru was getting their home renovated and to top it off, Sesshomaru hits it off with her family. Whether if it was for Rin's sake or not, he still was kind to her family.
A week has passed and Rin has finished all of her tasks for the day. She closes her laptop and smiles; she would be Mrs. Inutaisho in a matter of weeks. She had butterflies and bad nerves every now and then but she was overall excited to become his wife. Sesshomaru and Rin decided they would not be with each other the day before the wedding.
2 Weeks later:
Sesshomaru annoyed answers Rin.
"I do not like the thoughts I am having of other males around you for this bachelorette party you speak about".
"I don't know if there is a guarantee they will have strippers, but if that happens, just always know, Rin belongs only to you".
"I know; I just don't like it. I don't want to smell another male on what is mine".
"You won't".
"Have your fun," Sesshomaru says rolling his eyes.
Rin packs her things and heads to the hotel for her bachelorette party the girls put together.
"You all know I can't drink but I will enjoy watching you guys get wasted," she laughs.
"Oh yeah that sucks!" Ayame says.
Rin did participate in the male dancers though; she did want to have some kind of fun and male dancers did not seem all that bad.
They had desserts made out of nipples and male genitals. Rin picked up one up of male genitals, "This what I do to my Sesshomaru". She stuffs one in her mouth and laughs.
The girls bust out laughing, make oooo noises, and clap their hands.
"I knew you were a freak," says Kagome.
"Indeed".
They dance more and Rin watches the girls get drunk. Rin suddenly gets that lightheaded feeling and that headache that comes along with it again.
The girls stop dancing because they see Rin in distress and that she is sweating. They surround her, asking if she was okay.
"You didn't even drink anything," Sango says.
"Lately I have been getting these spells and it makes me winded".
"Are you pregnant?" Ayame asks.
"Sesshomaru hasn't been able to sense it so I think not. I think I am just exhausted by everything".
"I have never seen someone get exhausted so quickly. You were just dancing and having fun and now you are laid out with a headache, sweating and dizzy," Kanna says.
"I know someone; they can detect pregnancy earlier than Sesshomaru would" Ayame says.
"I don't know; I want Sesshomaru to detect our pregnancy".
"What he doesn't know, would not hurt him Rin. It could be his wedding present". Ayame suggests.
"I guess since you put it that way, I guess it couldn't hurt," Rin says.
"It's just like a normal pregnancy test, but it would detect how many weeks or months you are".
"Okay, let's do it. I am sorry girls. Me being like this may have ruined the rest of the party".
"Oh please Rin, you and Sesshomaru were doing what you are supposed to. It's not like you didn't tell us you weren't trying, that is why you didn't drink tonight," Sango says.
Ayame calls up her associate and later meets them. "Okay I got it, you ready Rin?"
Rin breathes out heavily, "Yes".
Ayame hands her the test and everyone cheers for Rin in excitement.
Rin goes in the bathroom and turns the water on because it felt awkward with the girls listening from other side. She thought how excited Sesshomaru would be if she truly were pregnant. It seemed that was his aim when he first mated her. She checked her phone when she would be ovulating and made sure they made love that entire time. She did not want to disappoint him again. She thought she would have to make a doctor's appointment to see if she is fertile or not.
She sits and wait for 3 minutes and the results came in. She was pregnant and she was 3 weeks. She was surprised; she rubs her stomach, I am pregnant. Rin eyes well up and she almost fainted in her weakened state. She thought, is this why I have been getting these spells and sometimes the smell of things make me so nauseous? Oh Sesshomaru! I love you so much!
Rin opens the door and girls knew immediately. They all started jumping up and down screaming with joy.
Rin crying, "according to this, I am really early. I am 3 weeks. That is right about the time we had our crazy love session after graduation".
"You guys were not playing, some animals, I tell ya!" Ayame says laughing.
"Well, the wedding is…2 weeks from now, are you going to tell him then?" Kanna asks.
"I think I have something up my sleeve. I want to wait until our honeymoon; hopefully he still won't be able to sense my pregnancy".
"Something up your sleeve huh," Kagome says mischievously.
3 weeks later, the day had come. They were to spend a day apart and it seemed like the longest day. Even though they could not see each other, they did call each other. They missed the hell out of each other. They were so used to being around each other every day.
"This will be the only day we will be apart, we will spend the rest of our lives together Sesshomaru".
"I miss my mate, your scent has faded here and I need you to fill it back up again".
"Awww my big baby, you will have all of me tomorrow".
