An: Hi! This my first fanfiction. Lately I been watching power ranger again and was reminded about the horrible way the writers wrote off Tommy and Kim relationship. Honestly they should of end up together instead of Tommy and Katherine, not that I mind Katherine, but I felt like Tommy and Kimberly had more chemistry. Either way what's done is done.

Anyway this is a fanfiction about Tommy and Kim, and Kira that I had in my mind for while. Through a letter story has been done multiple times with Kim being pregnant or Kira being their daughter. I like to do my own take. Anyway this is completely AU. I even change timeline and ages so it makes a little more sense for the story.

Here are the changes:

MMPR lasted from mid 1989- late 1992

basically the characters where born earlier. Getting there ranger power 4 years earlier

ZEO happen durning late 1992- late 1993

TURBO happen during late 1993- late 1996

IN SPACE happen late 1996- all of 1998

the rest of timeline is fine for now, except Dino thunder happen during 2007 instead of 2004 and the teens will be younger.

Chapter 1

Kimberly Ann Hart life has never been easy. After leaving the team she dealt with a lot of struggles and made rash decision that she later regrets. One of them being breaking up with her ex-boyfriend Tommy Oliver.

"I am not sure I'm ready to speak to him yet Jason," Kimberly said to the man behind the wheel. It was Jason Lee Scott. Currently the two were driving towards their old friend home for a visit.

"Kim it's been 15 years since you spoke to him. You had all the time you needed," said Jason.

"I think it's time for you two to reconcile. Not only that but you have to tell him the truth about letter," Kim sigh sadly at the mention of the letter.

"I know Jase, but...I don't think I am ready to face him. The last time I saw him was at your wedding and we didn't talked than. In fact we both tried to ignore each other," she said with sadness in her voice.

She wanted to hurt him enough for him not to follow her, but not to shattered their whole friendship.

"I know your nervous Kim, but you know as well as I do that this has been overdue. Plus I know he misses you. He will always ask about you everytime I visit him," Jason said surprising Kim.

"What do you tell him?" She asked.

"Same as always. That you're doing well and living a happy life," Jason said as Kim frowned. She was far from happy. Sure she was doing fine, but she wasn't truly happy. A lot of things happen to her since that faithful christmas back in 1992.

The two soon arrived in front of a home in the middle of the woods. Kimberly got out of Jason car and looked around. She saw two other vehicles park nearby.

"Maybe we should come back later. I think he has visitor's," Kimberly said to Jason whom ignored her and walked up to the front door.

"It's too late. I already let him know that we were coming," Jason said as he knocked on the door. No answered. He knocked again. Still no answer.

"Great! No one answer! Let's go!" Kim said as she turn around and was about to walk away until Jason grabbed her arm.

"It's fine he's probably in his basement. I got a spare key on me," Jason said as he took out the key.

"Why would he be in his basement when he has guest at his home? And why do you have a spare key?" Kim asked but Jason ignored her and open the door.

They enter his home and in the living room. They see no one in sight.

"Yup. In his basement," Jason said as he signal Kimberly, whom was confuse, to follow him.

They enter a hallway near a dinosaur skeleton. Jason pulled on the jaw as a trap door open. Kimberly was shocked. She is now curious what Tommy has down in his basement.

They went downstairs and was now in front of another door. Jason lowered another jaw of a skeleton to open the door.

Kim gasp. Behind the door was a laboratory of some sort. To her it remind her of the old command center. She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice the other four people in the room.

"Who are you? And how'd you find this place?" the teen in yellow asked as she and the two others got into a battle stance.

"Relax," Jason started as he looks at the man with spiky hair, "we're just here to visit our ole fearless leader," Jason finished as the man grin and went over to hug Jason.

"Jase. I forgot you were visiting today," the man said as Jason chuckled. This was Dr. Tommy Oliver. Earth first green ranger and white ranger.

"Nice to see your memory is still good as ever Dr. Oliver," Jason teased before laughing out loud as Tommy rolled his eyes. That's when he notice Kimberly. He froze as he stares at her. Kimberly stares back, locking their eyes on each other. Jason notice and smirked. He knows those two still has strong feelings for each other. No matter how many years they been far apart.

"Uh...Dr. O," the teen in red started, "you want to introduce us to your friends?"

Tommy broke eye contact with Kim and looks at the teens.

"Uh yeah...sorry about that. Guy's this is Jason Lee Scott and...Kimberly Anne Hart. Earth first red and pink ranger," Tommy said as the teens were star struck.

"Jason, Kimberly, this is Conner Mcknight, Kira Ford and Ethan James. They are my students and the new team of rangers," Tommy said as Kimberly looks at Jason. She notice Jason wasn't surprise or shock that Tommy is training a team of new rangers. It was like he already knew.

"Wow it's nice to see former rangers and you two were the first. It's an honor to meet you. I am Ethan," Ethan said as he held out his hand towards Jason and just as he did to the Wild Force red ranger, Jason just patted his shoulder and smile.

"Nice to meet you too Ethan," he said as he looks at Conner.

"You must be Conner? I guess it's an honor for you to meet the best red ranger ever," Jason said as Tommy rolled his eyes at the mention of the best red ranger comment.

Conner just stutter incoherent words. He was still star struck to see the first red in front of him.

Jason shook his head look at Kira. He took a good look at her and then glance at Kim quickly before shifting his attention back to Kira.

"H-Hello! Nice to meet you. Mr. Scott," Kira said, stuttering a little. It's not everyday you meet a former ranger.

"Please call me Jason. I'm not like that old dinosaur over there," Jason pointed to Tommy, whom glared at him.

Kim during this whole time was very quite. She didn't know what to make out of all of this. She didn't expect Tommy to have a ranger team. She wonders herself if Tommy is also a ranger again. She looks at each of the kids. When her eyes landed on Kira she started hear screeching noises in her head. Tommy, whom notices Kim massaging her head, went towards her and whisper, "are you alright?"

Kim nodded and blushes, realizing how close he was to her. Tommy backed away, noticing that he was getting to close to her and blush as well. He can't help but stare at her and notice she was more beautiful then before.

"Calm down Oliver. You're not a hormonal teenager anymore. You're a grown mature adult," Tommy thought, trying to force his blush down. He can't believe she still has this effect on him. Unknown to him, Kim was also lost in her own thoughts.

"Oh my god. He's more handsome then before. That hair cut makes him look more mature and those muscles! Oh Kim don't-" she didn't finish her thought as she fainted. Luckily Tommy was able to catch her before she hit the floor.

The other occupants in the room notice this and asked if she was okay, through Jason just laughed.

"It's alright she tends to do that around Dr. Oliver," Jason said as Tommy glared at him. The three teens were confused and wonder what their mentor relationship was to the unconscious woman.

Tommy sat Kim to a nearby chair and tried waking her up.

"Wake up Kim," He said as Kim started to stirred. She open her eyes to see dark brown eyes full of concern. She immediately knew who eyes they where.

"He shouldn't worry about me. I was the one that cause him a lot of pain," Kim thought as she got up.

"Sorry about that. I don't know why I fainted out of the blue," Kim lied. She knew why but is not going to tell them.

"It's alright Kim," Tommy said with a smile. Kim smiled back at him and then look at Jason who was signaling her. She frowned. She knows what he is trying to tell her. It was at this moment Jason decided to take matter into his own hand.

"Well Tommy I would like to get to know your team a little more better so I am gonna steal them from you if it's fine," Jason said as he starts walking back towards the stair case.

Kira and Ethan, who saw Jason signaling Kim, knew that he wanted their mentor to have alone time with Kimberly. So they followed him.

"But I want to talk to this smokin hot babe!" Sadly Conner was the only one who didn't get the memo. He gulped when he notice Tommy glaring at him when he called Kim hot and soon follow the rest of the team, trying to avoid the wrath of his teacher.

Tommy then glared at Jason who look at him as if he was saying 'talk to her'. Soon it was just Tommy and Kim. Neither of them spoke, not sure what to say each other after being years apart.

"So how you been Kim/Tommy?" Both of them said at the same time.

"You first Kim," Tommy said as Kim nodded.

"I been...great. I am actually a history teacher now at Angel Grove High. How about you?" She asked as she bit her bottom lip. She didn't like that Jason just left them alone like that but knew it was time.

"Wow that's great. I thought you will be coaching gymnastics team, but a history teacher is great as well. I am actually a teacher too and part time paleontologist," Tommy said as Kim smiled.

"Couldn't stay away from dinosaurs I guess," she said as Tommy shrugged.

"I was jealous you four had dinosaurs theme powers. Then again I did have my awesome Dragonzord," Tommy said as Kim giggled.

"Then you switch over to the Tigerzord. Were you jealous of Trini sabertooth tiger powers?" Kim asked as Tommy rolled his eyes but laughed.

"Maybe I was. So how's you know..." Tommy said as Kim raised an eyebrow.

"You know who?" She asked as Tommy frowned.

"You know...the guy you left me for," he said as Kim made an oh expression. She was trying to see if she can avoid the topic of the letter but she was wrong.

"It's now or never Kim. He deserves to know the truth," the little voice her head said. Kim found the ground interesting and said softly, "I never met anyone else."

"Sorry I didn't quite catch that," Tommy said as Kim looks up at him and said a little louder, "I never met anyone else Tommy. It was...a lie," She said as she turns away from him, not wanting to see his reaction.

Tommy for the most part look confuse, but felt a little angry.

"But your letter said you met someone else! You now saying it was all a lie! Why would you make that up Kim?" He asked as Kim turn to look at him. He notice her eyes were starting to get glossy.

"Tommy there is a reason why Jason brought me here. It's to explain why I wrote that letter in the first place. Please do not interrupt because I don't think I will be able to explain it again," she said as Tommy nodded. They both sat down on nearby chairs to talk.

Kim bit her lower lip. Trying to build enough confidence to tell Tommy the truth.

"It all starts three months after my last Christmas with you. During that time I thought my life was going great. I had a great boyfriend that loves me with all his heart and friends who supported my dream. Then one day when I was practicing on the beam I had an accident," Kim pause before continuing, "I slipped and fell off the beam. My spotter was unable to reach me in time to save me from the fall and before I knew it I was at the hospital," she notices Tommy concern look and frowned.

"He won't care for me after he finds out what I'd done," She thought before taking deep breathes.

"It was then I was given life changing news. The doctor...the doctor told me I-I was pr-pregnant," Kim stutter a little as tears were coming out.

Tommy froze. He was wondering if he heard her right. "If she never met another guy...and Christmas is when..." She was pregnant with his kid.

"I was confused and wonder how it could've happen. I mean I know how it happen, but we were careful. Eventually I was discharge and went back to the dorms. I didn't know what to do. I refuse to get an abortion, so I end up calling my mother and well...she disowned me. She told me that I ruined my life and now I had to deal with the consequences. I tried calling my father but he never answered. Soon my teammates found out and some called me names. Whore and slut to name a few," Kim pauses again to take a deep breathe.

"Some of the coaches even give me a disgusting looks. Coach Schmidt was the only one who helped me out albeit he was disappointed in me for being careless. He offer me to stay with him until I get back on my feet. Sadly I was force to leave the program and quit gymnastics," she got up and started to walk around.

"I felt like a failure and was afraid what my friends back home would think and then I thought of you. I was afraid what your reaction will be and then I remember what my mother told me. I felt like I was ruining your life. So I wrote that stupid Dear John letter to set you free from me. I wanted to hurt you. Only enough for you not to come after me. It worked but at what cost? Now I don't have a boyfriend anymore, my parents basically abandon me. I fell into depression for a bit but I'd stayed strong for my baby. It was the fifth month already and I found out the gender. It was girl," Kim pulled out a picture of an ultra sound and handed to Tommy. Tommy grab the picture and stared at it. Tear were threatening to come out of his eyes.

"Eventually, the day I was looking forward too happen. I gave birth to her. She was the most beautiful baby girl I saw. I fell in love instantly and promise to raise her with all my love and support," Kim pauses and took another photo out and hand it to Tommy, whom grabbed it. It was picture of Kim in the delivery with his newborn daughter. The tears came out the minute he saw the newborn.

Kim took another deep breathe. She knew this next part was going to be the hardest part of all.

"...I tried my best taking care of her for the first three months...but sadly I was unable to do it to my best ability. Coach Schmidt had to leave for the Pan Globals so I had moved out and found a small studio. I had to work two jobs just to pay for rent and babysitting..eventually everything become so overwhelm for me I end up fainting durning one of my jobs. I was soon rush to the hospital and it was there I realize I can't keep my promise to her. She needs both parents to be there all time. Not one deadbeat mother who struggling to work and raise her. So one week later I had to do the hardest thing ever...I gave her up."

Kim looked away from Tommy. Not wanting to see his expression.

"I-I gave her up Tommy. I gave her up to an adoption clinic. I wasn't strong enough to raise her. I felt like I failed her. That day I fell into a deep depression and eventually...I tried to kill my self," Kim said as rubbed her left arm.

Tommy has many emotions going onto him right now. He was mad she kept his daughter from him, but was upset that she tried ending her own life.

"It was then Jason, Zack, and Trini came for a surprise visit and found me laying in a puddle of blood. They rushed me to the hospital to get treated. At that time I didn't know whether to thank them or hate them. I survived the ordeal but then I was diagnosed with major depression and was prescribed with medicine to help me cope with it. I stayed in Florida for a couple months with Jason, Trini, and Zack. I told them why I tried offing myself. They where mad that I didn't call them for help, but I was ashamed too ask them. This happen after Jason lost his gold powers. I eventually sought help from a therapist and she help me solved out my issues. She suggested I should go back home and make amends with you. Sadly that was the time when Divatox kidnap Jason and I. Later, after you save us, I saw you with Katherine at the tournament. I wanted to go to you and tell you everything but my insecurities got the best of me and next thing I know I went back to Florida. That's basically everything. The whole reason for the stupid letter was because of my own insecurities and fear of rejection. I just want to say I am sorry Tommy," Kim said looking at the ground.

Tommy didn't know what to think. All of that happen to his crane. To his princess. His beautiful.

"I want to be angry at her. I really do, but she been through so much. She doesn't deserve all that happen to her. In a way it's my fault. I should've follow my gut and got the first ticket to Florida the minute I gotten that letter. I knew it wasn't like her out of the blue to do that without a reason," Tommy thought. He got up making Kim flinch. He frowned.

"She thinks I am gonna hurt her?" He took a step towards her and soon wrapped his arms around her, hugging her. Kim stiffened in his embraces but returns the hug. She started to cry on his chest.

"I-I'm sorry Tommy. I'm so sorry," she sobbed. Tommy rubbed her back softly.

"It's alright Kim. It's alright," Tommy said. He let her use him as support like he once has done a long time ago.

Eventually they broke apart and stared at each other.

"You're not mad?" Kim asked softly. Tommy gave her sad smile.

"Kim I am angry that you kept her from me. I am angry that you gave her up, not even giving me a chance to meet her in person or to hold her, but most of all I am angry at myself," Tommy said making Kim confused.

"I am angry that I didn't fight for you that day. That I didn't go after you or call you after I received your letter. If I had maybe all of this could've been avoided. If I knew you were pregnant Kim, I wouldn't abandon you. I love you more than being a ranger," Tommy said as Kimberly gasped.

"You said love as in present tense," she said as Tommy nodded.

"I still love you Kim. After all these years. The only girl I ever dated was Katherine and even then I always compare her to you. It's the reason I ended things with her because my feelings for you were-no still are strong. I know people said highschool romance is just puppy love and that they don't last long after graduation, but I felt our love was real," Tommy explained.

"But you can't love me now Tommy. It's been 15 years. We are both different people now," Kimberly said as she looks away from him.

"I don't care Kimberly," he started as he turn her around to face him, "I know it will be awhile for us to get back to where we were, but I like to give us another chance," Tommy said as Kimberly started to cry again.

"Even after what I'd done?" Kimberly asked as Tommy nodded. He kissed her forehead before pulling her for another hug.

"Even after all that Kimberly. I learn to never dwell in the pass or else it will just hurt you. So what do you say? Would you like to go out to dinner with me tomorrow night?" Tommy asked as Kimberly broke the hug and turned away from him, making him frowned.

"Kimberly..." he said as she turn around, smiling at him.

"I couldn't make it easy for you," she said as Tommy smiled and picked her up and spun her around, making her giggle. Kimberly was happy to know that her and Tommy were getting back on the right track. Tommy was happy to have her back into his life. She was the missing piece in his life. Though he wish he could meet his daughter, but that is a subject they need to discuss another time.

Near the stairway entrance

Unbeknownst to Tommy and Kim, Jason and the teens came back down during when Kim apologize to Tommy. The teens were shock to learn that their mentor has a daughter he never knew about. Jason, who knew about it, was happy to hear that they will give each other another chance at romance.

"Maybe Kim will finally be truly happy now," Jason thought as he beckons the teens to go back upstairs before they get caught.

Through one of them was lost in their own thoughts.

"Maybe I found them? Could I really be...I need more information," was the thought of Kira Ford. She has a secret she never told people but she was adopted. She found out when she was 13 when she was helping her dad clean out the attic out for extra cash. She found some stuff with her name on it and was curious. When she had open the box it had some pictures of a lady she never seen before holding a baby, a stuff white teddy bear, a necklace with the falcon and the crane hanging off the chain and a letter address to her. Of course her dad saw her open the box and soon her parents told her everything. They even give her a choice if she wants to try and get in contact with her birth mother. She declined, saying she needs time. She closed up the box and stored it in her closet. The only thing she took out was the necklace, which is around neck at the moment. Every now then she wears it, to feel a little bit closer to her birth parents.

"Maybe it's time I read the letter before I make any decision, " She thought as she pulls out the necklace under her shirt and holds it closer to her heart. All she knows is she needs answers.
