I'M COMING HOME
Sesshomaru is at home with his 3-year-old twin daughters. He's sitting in an armchair with them on his lap looking through a photo album. The eldest twin, Towa, asks him to tell them the story of how they met. He begins to tell his girls the story of when he met Rin for the first time. They go over memories in the photos and then Setsuna, the younger twin started crying saying she missed her mommy. Sesshomaru agreed and Towa sadly nodded her head trying to hide her tears. Sesshomaru said he missed her too with a little sad smile on his face.
"Why is it that every time I'm gone for a few months I come back and you're all in tears looking through the photos as if I was dead?" Says a woman leaned up against the doorway with her arms crossed with a smirk on her face. "Mommy! You're back!" Both girls jumped off their dad's lap to go hug their beloved mother. Rin reached down to hug her little darlings. "Oh, I've missed you both so much my angels. Did you miss mommy?" "Uh huh," said the twins at the same time nodding their heads. Rin hugged her daughters again and kissed both their cheeks. She then instructed them to head on upstairs and put their pajamas on and she would be up shortly to read them a bedtime story. Setsuna's and Towa's tears dried up and they were replaced with the biggest smile that could brighten up the gloomiest room.
Sesshomaru saw this and thought how his daughters inherited their smile from their mother. As the girls, left Rin looked back to her husband who had got up to put the photo album away. They approached each other and embraced one another. "I'm home love," she said. "Welcome home beloved," he responded in return. Rin then began to ask why he continued to encourage their daughters that way. He responded that even he missed her when she was gone for a long period of time and that they were lonely.
Rin was a doctor who not only worked at the local hospital but also as a worldwide doctor helping people less fortunate around the world. It was her dream after all. She gave him a sad smile and told him that she understood and that she was lonely without them as well. She then told him about the decision she made about just working at the hospital and not traveling.
He looked at her as if to make sure he heard her correctly. She confirmed that the travel was long, and she missed coming home after a long day at work to her husband and children. And that there were others who can take over the position for her. He hugged her tightly and when he looked at her again, they shared a long-awaited passionate kiss. He then told her that the girls would be excited to hear the news. They then began to proceed out of the room towards the twin's room give them wonderful news together.
