Chapter 7
Two weeks later Marcus and Jason had joined Melissa to watch Kim in the Pan Pacific Games, however Marcus couldn't talk Tommy into coming. Kim had a cry the night before to Jason about it and he reminded her that she did break up with him. She hit him hard saying she had to and Jason just cuddled her till she fell asleep. He had his hand slipped down onto her stomach when he swore, he felt a something bump his hand, Jason shook his head and moved Kim so she was lying down to sleep he didn't want her to be sore for the next day.
The others had invited Tommy to Billy's to watch the games on the TV but he declined saying he wasn't ready to watch her. Rocky had told him if they do get back together in the future he would regret not watching so please come over. Tommy decide he would watch at home away from the others as it was an all day event.
Jason was sitting with Melissa and Marcus, he had been a bit quiet, when Marcus walked off to get some food Melissa turned to Jason and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Can I ask why you are here and so friendly with Kim after .. I know if my girlfriend broke up with my parents wouldn't talk to her"
"oh Jason first of all Tommy never had anyone close until he met Kimberley and all of you. She brought something out of my son that I hadn't seen for a long time, he was so happy and I could never thank her enough for what she did. Second of all she is my daughter and I love her dearly and I'm so angry her parents can't even be bother to turn up to watch her ("So am" Jason replied). And thirdly Kim and Tommy will get back together and be married with Kids their life in mimicking ours, mine and Marcus."
"How do you know they will get back together if she does well today it will lead her to go and compete in the Olympics"
"Mother's instuition Jason trust me they will be back together soon"
"okay" Jason replied as Marcus came back, he hope Kim and Tommy would get back together after her tears last night.
All them watched Kim as she did each round of the games she was utter perfection getting top or just a few points off. She had 1 round left and even if it wasn't perfect she would still win the day the balance beam was her favourite and Kim knew she had this. Kim started off strong everyone was impressed on how tight and perfect her routine until she did a cartwheel and slipped everyone gasp including the rangers. Kim landed hard on her stomach on the bar winding her, however Kim managed to get back up as she need to continue the routine and finish to win.
When she finished Kim sprung off the beam and gave her poses everyone stood up and clap. Jason notice that Melissa was a little out of it watching Kim intensely, Kim winced as she started to walk off. Her coach and team mate ran up to her to make sure she was alright she asked for some ice and tried to see if she could find Melissa. Melissa knew Kim wanted her but she wasn't allowed to go down till after presentation. The coach took Kim thru to the dressing room so the doctor could have a look at.
Kim missed her scores from the beam even with the mistake she won the event, Jason was so happy for and so we're the other. Tommy wasn't sure how he felt he was devastated that she fell again that he wasn't there to be with her, but she won the whole competition which means she was moving on the Olympics which would take her further away from him for a longer period of time. He knew she would be silly to say "No" to train and compete. He sat in his bedroom and cried as he realised he truly had lost her.
Jason, Melissa and Marcus watched as they did presentation, the commentators informed those watching the Kimberley had broken some ribs and would be presented later on. As soon as the presentation was done Melissa took off as she knew the coach would let her into the sickbay, Marcus and Jason got up and followed her.
When they got to the sickbay Kim was being loaded onto a stretcher by the paramedics the doctor on standby told Melissa that they were taking Kim so she be checked out some more as her stomach was hurting. Marcus insisted Melissa go and him and Jason would be behind them.
When Kim was in ambulance with she turned to Melissa quietly, "I hope the baby is okay"
"I will check that out when we are alone. I'm sure it will be fine"
"Mmm all the beating I have taken" Kim smiled
"Rest we will be there soon at the hospital"
It was a while before Melissa could see Kim, she was pacing in the waiting room, "Melissa she is finally and awake please stop worrying" Marcus told her.
"I know but she is like my child and you know my mobile hasn't even rung from Kim's parents to see how she is but I have heard from Jason's!"
"Well my parents always thought she was their child unfortunately Mr and Mrs Hart didn't always look after her and she would end up at our"
"Dr Oliver Kimberley is back in her room if you all would like to see her, she just has 3 broken ribs so she will need to rest for the next 6 weeks"
"I'll ring Jason parents and Jason can ring his friend to let them know"
"Thanks" Melissa said and she went to find Kimberley
"Kim how are you feeling?" Melissa asked
"Sore, in my ribs and I want to know .."
"it's okay I have my gear just lie a little so I can hear the heart beat" Melissa placed her machine on Kim stomach and they started to hear the heart beat. They both giggle as they were please the baby was okay.
"I'm glad the baby is okay," Kim said, "and I think my Purple Ranger days are over for a little while
"let's hope .."
All of sudden Jason walks in stood their stunned "what the hell your pregnant and.." he looked at Melissa not sure how to finish that
"Jason I know you were once the red ranger, Kim was the pink and umm the Purple and Tommy was the green and white. Don't worry only I know Marcus doesn't notice these things"
"And yes I'm pregnant Jason 6 months" Kim tells him
"And where is the boyfriend who got you pregnant and you have no bump really how far along are you"
"Jason the baby is Tommy's the baby is hiding itself, Melissa and I were the only and we think it's hiding because of what we are. If the bad guy finds out it would use me and the baby against Tommy"
Melissa got up, "I'm going to call Tommy and check on him you to discuss okay" and she walked out
"How?" Jason asked
"Christmas time when I cam home Tommy and I lost our virginity to each other , we were safe but I'm guessing it was meant to be. When I came back I was off long, I knew I was pregnant but the test with the doctor said otherwise. Melissa came and we found out I was with an ultrasound there is no bump and no signs but when I was saying Melissa was the grandmother it show itself"
"And is it true your the Purple Ranger?"
"Yes I found the crystal that turns me, I don't truly have full power over it some how I just get teleported to the fight"
"How did you, how did the baby survive one of Tommy's kick?"
"the suit must have some sort of protection but I still bruised"
"Tommy was upset for weeks Kimberley, he hasn't even the same"
"Jason everyone was telling me he wasn't focused and I had to protect my child, mine and Tommy child."
"are you going to tell him?"
"When he is free from rangering I will."
"Kim I would love my son to be there at the birth of his child, I'm sure we can find away to protect you and my grandchild" Melissa interrupted
"we can talk to Zordon for you Kim?" Jason replied
