As Sesshomaru flew back to his small pack he began remembering when Rin was younger, how she found him injured in that forest. How she brought food to him when it was clear she wasn't from wealth. Her continuing faith in him to protect her, her almond shaped chocolate eyes reminded him of his lost love.
He could not deny that they had a connection he hasn't shared with anyone in all his years aside from his lost love, Midiriko. He is close enough to smell her, yet her sweet scent of vanilla and lavender, was mixed with a pungent smelly odor of sweat and horse manure. He landed on the high rock above the spring.
"What makes you think I'm unescorted?" He heard her speak. She could feel him here with her now. "Well I don't see anybody here." He heard the ningen male say to her. He jumped and landed in front of Rin, his claws ready to start scratching. Sesshomaru growled at the man before him.
