"Awe I always knew they would be together." Kagome cooed. InuYasha shrugged his shoulders, not really caring. "He better not hurt her." He stated harshly as he began to stand up. Jaken looked at them as if each one of them had grown a second head. "How can that be your opinion?" Jaken almost screamed out. Starting to pace again. "Because who Sesshomaru chooses to love and who Rin chooses to love is not our business, nor is it yours Jaken." Kagome stated. Everyone including the high regal demon lord, Sesshomaru had every right to be with who he loved.
"But, his reputation, his outstanding presence, the respect he worked so hard to acclimate from others; now gone with loving a human." Jaken spoke out. Continuingly pacing back and forth as he ranted. "I understand this relationship may be a difficult one for you to surround yourself with, Jaken, and it may take some time to get used to it, but isn't serving the great Inu demon of the West worth a slight adjustment?" Kagome asked. Jaken stopped pacing and looked at her.
"You're right, miko." Jaken stated after her words set into his mind. He had faithfully served his lord all these many centuries, things changed over many years. You can either meet it head on and accept what is happening, or run from it at every turn and stay where you've always been. "Hey Kagome, I think you calmed him down." A kid's voice said walking into the hut. It was the fox demon kit, Shippo, that she adopted. Shippo took up his perch on Kagome's shoulder watching the imp demon.
