As Rin described her dream, flashes of his first meeting with Midiriko flashed before his mind's eye. She had a dream about their first meeting. Hope filled him; hope that she was getting memories of her first life with him back. "He told me to move out of his way but I stayed put and placed a priestess' shield around myself and the village. He kept walking closer until his foot stepped through my shield. I lowered my shield around me but kept it up around the village.
I told him he would not harm anyone in the village and he agreed. I lowered the shield around the village and together we walked through the village. I told him my name was Midiriko. He said his name was….." Rin stopped talking and looked at him this time deeply. So deep she could see the young demon within him from her dreams. "Sesshomaru." She said his name like a sigh. Rin just continued to stare into his eyes. Sesshomaru could not say anything for a few moments. "Rin I know you're upset, but please let me explain." Sesshomaru stated.
Rin sat back quietly waiting for him to explain. "Many, many centuries ago I was travelling some distance to the Northern lands for an arranged mating, and came across this village with a very powerful miko protecting it. After her and I walked through the village I purposely held my trip off her and I spent days and nights in the forest outside the village talking, training, and getting to know each other. Before I knew it, I had spent a month there with her. We then decided to start travelling together and fighting demons. We had fallen in love with each other; it was pure true love, something I didn't know was possible; much less for a demon. She agreed to be my mate before her untimely death. I didn't tell you before because I wasn't sure if you were her reincarnation or not until now." Sesshomaru explained to her.
