"Sesshomaru go get help from the neighboring village. I'll hold them off." Midiriko stated to him then she wretched herself from his grasp and started to fall to the earth. Landing gracefully upon the earth weapon at the ready. The demons followed her down and Sesshomaru flew off to get help. He flew as fast as he could. Midiriko fought with all she had against the demons. Time was running out, there was only one thing she could do now.
With one last thought of her true love. She used the last of her remaining strength to pull the souls of all the demons into her. She knew this was going to force out her own soul and she would die, but she would take the demons with her. She watched Sesshomaru land with some demons with him. 'Now or never.' she thought to herself. Her reiki sizzled as it drew all the demons' souls to her one lower level demon pierced her heart. Sesshomaru ran to her body with the other demons behind her.
"Midiriko?!" Sesshomaru called out standing beside her as all their bodys fossilized before his very eyes. "I will return to you my love." Those Were the last words she spoke to him before her body solidified. Sesshomaru dropped to his knees, his heart broken. When Rin opened her eyes the first thing that filled her sight was her beloved Sesshomaru. She was cradled within his arms. She clung to Sesshomaru as if her life depended on it. "Sesshomaru, it was horrible. Midiriko sacrificed herself." Rin cried into his ear softly.
