CH 169
When Sam saw where the cotton candy was, she walked over to see four women busy making them and passing them to the custom's. Sam watch till one pack up, she heard
"Dam Peter said he fix it last week"
"Well this one starting to overheat, I'll have to turn it off"
"Jenny why don't you go and find peter and tell him to come and fix it"
"I'll fix for you" they turn around
"Sam"
"Hi Bridget, may I take a look"
"Ah sure, that would be great"
"Are you an electron?"
"No but I do have a degree in engineering and fix things all the time" she walked behind the table and unplugged it. She picks it up and moves it to another table.
"Bridget you know this kid"
"Yes, ladies this is Lieutenant"
"Captain, Bridget"
"Wow a promotion, congratulation Sam"
"Thanks"
"Well… Ladies, this is captain doctor Samantha Carter… O'Neill, Jack wife"
"Wait Jack O'Neill… Jonny"
"Yes"
"Gee a cradle snatcher" Sam stop what she was doing then turn around and step up to the women and look into her eyes
"Jack is not a cradle snatcher and if I hear any of you call him a cradle snatcher or pull him down any other way, you would have a hell of a lot of people to deal with, am I clear"
"Who want to back you and Jonny up"
"Hell of a lot of people family, members of the air force, delta force teams, the rangers… the personal from the pentagon and from the white house, how about them for starts"
"Yeah right"
"She is telling the truth," Bridget said
"You just saying that Bridget"
"Have I ever lie to you… any of you"
"No"
"Well then why would I lie to you now" they look at each other when they heard behind them
"Hey your thee Dr Carter" they turn to a teenager who was looking at them
"I am Dr Carter and I'm not MD doctor"
"Can I shake a hand of a hero"
"Me a hero…Na but you can shake my hand" Sam walk over and shake the guy hand who was about the same age as Sam
"Dr Carter you and your husband are well known around here"
"Really, how so?"
"Well you are a hero and your husband supports our high school in giving out scholarships… I'm one of them, I'm going to university in the fall in Colorado"
"Well good on you and keep your grades up and keep out of trouble" he laugh
"that is what Mr O'Neill said"
"Well then there you go and good luck"
"thank you" then he turned and walked over to his mates.
Sam turned around and walked over to the cotton candy making machine and carried on looking it over and fixing the problem.
"Your thee Samantha Carter"
"Yep, know you know who I am"
"I'm…. I'm sorry didn't know"
"Everyone makes mistakes"
The women carry on making the cotton candy for everyone while Bridget talks to Sam. When Sam finish fixing the problem she straighten up and turn to Bridget
"Try it out"
"Thanks Sam"
"Any time, hey have you ever thought of making other colours besides pink?"
"Meaning what?"
"Blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, it would be a lot more interesting, don't you think"
"Yeah that is a good idea" she pick up the maker and put it back to where it was before and turn it on
"Hey it works"
"There you go, I'll take a look at this one" she pick it up and take it to another table and work on it
While Bridget spoke to the other women about Sam's idea, they like the idea. So one of the women left to go to the supermarket to get what is needed to make different colours.
Few minutes later Sam fixes the machine up and gets it going again. By that time Jack was walking over to where the cotton candy store is. When he got close, he shook his head slightly when he saw Sam with one of the bowls. When Sam saw Jack, she smiled at him which he did in return.
"Hey I was wondering how long you were going to be"
"Sorry jack you know me and fixing things, well this was one of them"
"Yeah I know you can't help yourself… hi Bridget"
"Hi Jack, Sam is amazing she fix both cotton candy machines in minutes where Peter took hours"
"Well Sam doesn't muck around when it comes to fixing thing"
"I bet, so congratulation is in order"
"For what?"
"The baby Jack" Sam said
"Oh yeah, we both are happy with the news" he said smiling
"I know that feeling"
"So Sam got your cotton candy yet"
"Not yet"
"Here, this one on the house and thank you or fixing the machines here" she pass Sam a stick with the cotton candy on it
"Thanks, talk some time later"
"Ok enjoy your day"
"We will thanks" they walk away with their arms around each other while Sam was munching on her cotton candy, she even let Jack have some as well.
They had a wonderful day, Sam noticed other people eating yellow, green or blue cotton candy which made her smile.
That evening they were eating hotdogs and drinking lemonade. They found a good spot where they could see their fireworks display. When it starts, Jack wraps his arms around Sam from behind as they watch it begin.
When it was over, the lights were back on and everyone carried on enjoying themselves, having fun for the next couple of hours before the fair closed for the night.
When they returned back to the cabin, it was almost midnight. As soon as they were both in bed, they kissed and snuggled down in each other's arms and fell asleep.
The next day they both relax and enjoy the fresh air and doing what they love doing best. Sam was reading her magazines while Jack fished. That night they made love while in bed with Sam being on top. When she collapsed on top of him Jack pulled the covers over them both and kissed her forehead.
"Sam, are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm great, you?" she turn and look at him,
"I'm great also seeing the women I love making passionate love to me who is carrying our to special children with in her which is created out from out love we have for each other" Sam smile then move till she was snuggling up to his side
"Yeah your right, it does feel good, lets get some sleep, it your turn in the morning" she said smiling
"Oh goodly" she giggled then gave him a kiss before they closed their eyes and fell asleep seconds later.
The next morning after they made love and had their shower. Jack cooks breakfast while Sam makes their bed. When she walked into the kitchen she smiled when she saw Jack dishing up cheese, red onion, red and green pepper's on top of an omlet, Jack folded it in half then chopped it in half.
Then he slides half on one plate then the other half onto another plate. Sam sat at the table drinking her orange juice while watching Jack. When he walks over, he places one of the plates in front of her and then he places the other in front of him before sitting down.
"Sam are you ok"
"Yeah I'm getting nausea in the morning now"
"That good so enjoy"
"Oh I will" they started eating their breakfast while talking about the nursery about what they wanted to buy.
When they finished their breakfast, they did the dishes together while listening to some music. Then they heard a car pull up outside, so they walk to the window then to the door and open it and walk outside.
"Morning Tom"
"morning, Jack Sam, I came cause I got a call from a colonel Cromwell, he said you both needed back at Peterson. There is a chopper showing up at the football ground in twenty minutes"
"Thanks Tom" they ran back inside and quickly got change then they ran outside and into Sam truck, Sam passed tom the cabin keys.
"Can you get someone to pack out things up Tom"
"Sure thing Sam"
"Thanks Tom," Jack called out just before they drove away from the cabin.
"Something must of happen over in the Middle East" jack said
"Could be Jack, could be"
When they showed up at the showgrounds, everyone was packing things up. When they park the wagon, Bridget ran over to them when they got out
"Jack Sam, I just heard you been called back"
"We know, here can you look after Sam wagon till we return" Jack pass Bridget the car keys
"Sure, good luck with your mission"
"Thanks" they walk over to a spot where they know where the helicopter is going to land.
"Some brake" Jack said
"I know… oh" she grab Jack hand and put it on her stomach
"Can you feel that?"
"No" then he look at Sam then he felt movement, then he smile
"Now I can, our babies moving"
"I know it amazing feeling"
"Yes it sure is Sam… I love you"
"I love you to" they both kiss just as they heard the helicopter show up.
Jack waved his arms so they could see him. They waited till it landed then they quickly got on and put their belts on before taking off again. The guy in the back pass them head set.
They talked till the helicopter landed at Peterson air force base. When they both got off one of the airmen was waiting for them.
"Colonel, Captain if you may follow me please" they follow the airmen to one of the meeting rooms where they walk in to see the black ops teams there.
"Colonel, Captain, sorry for pulling you away from your down time, please take a seat" they both sat down and listened to what had happened and what the plan was. Hour later he looked round at every one there
"Any questions"
"I do sir" Sam said
"Captain"
Sam stood up and walked over to the board, she spoke to the colonel as well to mark different areas which she thinks is best and reasons why and also a back up plan just in case something went wrong. When she finish with her idea, the CO look at Sam idea and then to the rest of the group
"Any comments"
"Sir, Sam idea is a good one and she also came up with a back up plan just in case"
"Well then that the plan, now go and get geared up you to captain" he look at Sam
"Sorry sir, I'm grounded"
"Grounded?"
"Yes sir… you haven't been told sir?"
"No"
"I'm grounded for the next seven months… I'm pregnant sir" he looked at Sam then nodded
"Very well the rest of you go and gear up you leave in half an hour" They walk out of the room leaving Sam and the colonel alone
"Sorry Captain, I didn't know about the baby"
"Well you do now sir"
"Well congratulation"
"Thanks sir, so what other information have you got on these rebels"
They talked for the next fifteen minutes before walking out of the meeting room and went their separate ways. When it was time to board the plane, Sam was there to see them off. Jack gave Sam a big hug and a kiss while the others were walking on the plane
"I love you"
"I love you to, come home safely"
"We will Sam" then they both hug and kiss once more before Jack walks up on the plane.
Sam watches the door closes just as the engine starts up. Sam walks back over to the hanger and watches the plane take off, till she can't see it any more.
"Sam" she turned around and smiles
"General Hammond"
"How are you feeling?"
"Hungry" he smile
"Care to join me in some lunch"
"Sounds good to me"
They walk down to where the mess hall is and grab some lunch and sit down at one of the tables where they talk while having lunch. When finished, General Hammond got an airmen to drive Sam home. Sam thanked him before he left to return back to his office.
When the airmen showed up, he drove Sam home. When they got there, Sam thanked him before getting out of the car then watched him drive back to the base. Sam walked up to the front door and made it unlock then she walked inside and closed the door behind her.
She walked up stairs to their bedroom where she layed down and then closed her eyes and fell into peaceful sleep. Sam woke up three hours later, so she got up and went to relieve herself then she walked down stairs and grabbed Jack car keys and her bag, then she got into Jack truck and drove into town.
Sam went to the mall where she did some shopping and got herself-a snack and a drink, then she went to the supermarket where she bought some groceries for home. On the way home she stop off at pizza hutt since that what she felt like and order a large pizza.
When she got home she unpack everything and put a load of washing through the washing machine then she sat down to watch some TV while eating her pizza. When finished she put the rubbish away and grabbed a tub of ice cream. She sat down and watched a movie while eating it.
When the movie finished, she took care of the spoon and container, then she checked on the washing then she went to bed for the night.
The next day Sam keeps herself busy at home with the washing and house work, in the afternoon she has her afternoon nap. When she wakes up she has a snack and relaxes for the rest of the day.
On Monday morning she drove to Peterson air force base to get an update on the mission. Once she got an update she left to do some shopping then return back home.
