CH 172
Two hours later, the kids were asleep on the lounge chairs while the adults talk and enjoying the swim
"Would you guys like a cold soda to drink?"
"Sounds good to me" Jack said,
Ann and Mark agree so Sam made four sodas float out of the fridge and out the open doors and headed toward them. The cans floated till they were in their hands
"Thanks Sam" Mark said, then Ann did the same. Jack thanks her with a kiss before opening his.
They talked while swimming around for the next half hour before Mark and Ann left carrying their kids to the car then back to collect the other two before heading back home so they could get some sleep. Just after they left, Jack and Sam walk back into the house and put the cans in the bin then they walk up the stairs to their bathroom. Where they both shower and make love while in there before getting out and getting back into bed where they feel asleep minutes later.
They both woke up just after ten that morning, they both got up and had a shower together, and then while Jack was having a shave Sam was making the bed. When done, they both left and headed into the mall where they had brunch before they started shopping for the rest of the day.
When they got home that evening, Sam sorted out baby things and maternity clothes while Jack sorted out cold dinner for them both. They watch a late movie while in bed; Sam was munching on her chip and dip while watching the movie and they both also got drinks with them to have during the night.
When the movie was over, Jack took care of the bowls and cans while Sam got up and walked into the bathroom to wash her hands. Then return back to bed. When Jack joined her she snuggled up to his side they both kissed then he turned off the lights and they closed their eyes and fell into peaceful sleep.
The next day, they both relax at home talking about the nursery. They started sorting things out with what they have brought so far. They even went swimming, which they both enjoyed. That night they went to bed early so they could watch a movie while Sam was eating her snack.
When the movie was over Sam made the bowls go on to the box which is at the end of their bed then she rolled over and snuggled up to Jack side and they both kissed then Jack turned the lights off before they both went to sleep.
The next morning Sam went to the academy while Jack went to Peterson air force base for the day. Sam was looking over her notes from last time each group had their hand to hand training before the holidays. She even checks up on the ones whom she has been helping tutoring on Mondays when they are free.
When Sam got home an hour before Jack, she started getting dinner and checking their mail. She saw a wedding anniversary innovation, she knew it was her uncle and aunties thirty fifth wedding anniversary coming up in October the fourth.
She opens it up and smiles when she reads it. Then she put it back in the envelope and put it down. Then she opened up a letter from a friend from high school. It was a wedding innovation and the wedding is in September, so she decided to call her friend later that evening.
Sam checks her mail then checks on dinner, it was cooked so she turned everything down and waited for Jack to come home. So she read her other mail till she heard Jack truck coming from down the road.
She walked over to the fridge and got a bottle of beer out and opened it then walked toward the garage where Jack pulled up inside the garage and turned the motor off. He smiles when he sees Sam in the doorway. He got out and closes and locks the door and made the garage door close as he walk up to Sam he gives her kiss and she pass him his bottle beer
"Thanks Sam, how was your day?"
"Good, how was yours?"
"Paperwork"
"Ah"
They walk inside while they talk, Jack closes the door then takes his shoes off while Sam walks into the kitchen so she could dish up dinner.
"We got two innovation in the mail today"
"Really where from?"
"One from Uncle Phillip and Auntie Tracey"
"They're wedding anniversary?"
"Yep and the other one is a wedding invitation from someone who I know from high school"
"Ok, when is the wedding?"
"September, read it"
Sam made the two envelopes move till they were in front of Jack. He put his beer bottle down and opens one; it was the wedding innovation
"Do you want to go, Sam?"
"Yes"
"Ok, well we can let them know and make a hotel and flight booking for the weekend"
"Thanks Jack"
"Any thing to make you happy"
"And you know you get rewarded every time and it makes you happy" she said smiling
"Yep, to right after all we got the twins to prove that we can make each other happy"
"I know"
"So what for dinner, it smells good whatever you cooking up"
"Chilli con carne with corn chips and melted cheese"
"Mmm, I'm looking ford to it"
"Same here"
When Sam dish it up, on a big serving dish, she walk over to the fridge and got a can of soda out and she walk over and pass it to Jack
"Let's eat outside"
"Sounds good idea"
Sam walk back over to the bench and pick up the dish and followed Jack out side where they sat on the back patio after Sam put the tray down Jack lean ford and inhale the smell
"Mmm"
Then he picked up a corn chip with some chilli con nan and cheese sauce and put it in his mouth, Sam could hear the crunch of the corn chip "this is good" then he picked up another just as Sam picked up her first one. They both talk while enjoying their evening meal.
Later that evening Sam and Jack were in bed, Sam called her friend up and spoke to her for half an hour before hanging up. Then she rolled over and snuggled up to Jack side
"Well sounds like that Karen person is trouble from when you were at high school"
"You have no idea, head cheerleader, spoil rotten type of girl she goes to two different spa a week so she could look beautiful for the guys, she flirts with them… even sleep with every guy in the football team… so I've been told"
"Wow and she married now?"
"Yep six months and is pregnant"
"I heard"
"Sorry"
"Hey it ok, well this Karen person sure in for one hell of a shock in couple of months"
"I know," she said smiling
"Let see what on TV shall we"
Jack makes the TV turn on and flick through the channels till he stops at a program that they both like. They watch it and another program before turning both the TV and lights off. They both kiss before closing their eyes and falling asleep in each other's arms.
a Week later Jack and Sam were at the doctor's office for Sam's monthly check up, the doctor did another ultrasound to see how well the kids are doing. "Everything looks great here but my main concern is the size of your twins" he look at both Jack and Sam
"What are you saying doc?" Jack asked while holding on to Sam hand
"They are fine, but these two look like five month old not four, they are going to be born big"
"How big?" Sam asked,
"Well it hard to tell but my best guest over eight pounds each"
"Wow that is big for twins," Jack said
"Yes they are… Sam, you said when we first met that the birth weight in your family was over eight pounds and your cousin's youngest daughter was what?"
"Seven pounds nine ounces, she was six weeks premature"
"That right, from last month blood work, everything looks great, would you like to hear their heart beats"
"Yes" they both said at the same time. The doctor turn the volume up on the machine, they both heard the heart beats of the twins and smile
"That amazing" Jack said
"Yes it is… would you like to know what you're having?"
"You can tell" Jack asked
"Yes, do you" Jack and Sam look at each other
"Well Sam what do you think?"
"Well if we know then we know what to get for the nursery, why do you want to know?"
"Only if you do"
"I would only if you do"
"I do" Sam smiles at him then turn to the doctor
"What are we having?"
"Boys, twin boys, congratulation to you both"
"Thank you" they look at the screen listening to their heartbeats while smiling. Twenty minutes later they walk out of the office.
"Well now we know what to get" Jack said
"Yeah… I'm hungry" Jack chuckle
"Well come on then, where do you want to go?" they put their arms around each other as they walk
"Well since it is almost lunch time how about that café we went to few weeks back"
"Sure, why not"
They walked out to Jack truck and got in, then they were on their way into town. When they park outside the café, they get out and walk inside. They each got a tray each and they put what they wanted on it. Jack watches as Sam puts two cartons of hot chips, two pieces of fish, chicken salad sandwich, four club sandwiches, two cream donuts, two slices of cake and a large cookie on her tray.
Jack got a carton of chips, a pork salad sandwich and a slice of chocolate cake. When they were up at the counter the women was telling everything up on Sam tray
"Is there anything else ma'am?"
"Yes extra large strawberry milkshake please"
"Sure" then one of the workers went to make Sam milkshake.
"Is there anything else?"
" Four Tomato sauce please" the women turned around and got Sam four small packets and put them on the tray.
"That will be all thanks," Sam said
"I'm paying for it and these" jack said
"Yes sir" then she tellies up what Jack got
"Anything else sir?"
"Can of coke and two tomato ketchup please"
"Sure" she got Jack his can of coke and two packets of tomato ketchup and put it on his tray. Jack pass the women some money while the other women put Sam milkshake on her tray
"Thank you" Sam said
Then she picks up her tray and walks over to a free table and puts her tray down before sitting down. Jack joins her a few seconds later. They talk while enjoying their lunch. When Jack finished his, he watched Sam enjoy hers. When she finish she sat back and patted her stomach
"That was great, kids are settling down"
"That good, so feel like shopping"
"Yep"
"Ok, let's go" they stood up and walk out of the café when Sam stops Jack
"Sam, what's wrong?"
"Ladies room"
"Oh, ok" they walk two shops down to where the public toilets are.
After they relieved themselves they walked back to the truck where Jack helped Sam get in then he got in and started the engine, then they were on their way to 'Baby 'r' us' shop where they started looking and buying things that are blue.
They brought bassinets, two cots with sheets and blankets to go with it, a twin stroller, and three packs of diapers, more clothes, bibs and baby blankets. When they brought what they wanted, they pushed the two trolleys up to the counter, once it was all telly up; Jack paid for it all and they push the trolleys outside to the truck.
"Sam I'll take care of these you get in the truck"
"Thanks Jack, I'm just tired"
"I know sweetheart"
Jack helped Sam into the truck and gave her a kiss then he closed the door and walked back to the trolleys and he put everything in the back then he put the two trolleys back, then he returned and got back into the truck. He looked over to see Sam had fallen asleep, so he put her seatbelt on, then his before starting up his truck and leaving to head home.
