Chapter 1 Big Trades and the NBA draft.
Brian's PoV:
My name is Brian Thor Dreyer and I am the GM of the Philadelphia 76ers I just announced my Assignment GM, CFO, Head Coach and Assistant Coach.
Perseus 'Percy' Jackson is my Assistant GM. Nico Di Angelo is my CFO. Achilles Jackson is Percy's twin and is my Head Coach. My brother Blake Dreyer is the Assistant Head Coach.
Right now we are a night away from the draft and we are looking at our roster trying to figure out who's going to stay and who is being traded or released.

"Right now I really just want to cut everyone and start anew." Achilles says
"Ok guys we're going to going into rebuild mode. Lets see who we can get. Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, and Mike Scott are our untouchables unless its s good deal." I tell everyone.
"Let's get ahold of our friends and Uncles Zeus and Hades and see what's up." I say to Percy.
"Ok!" Percy says.
I head to my office and sit down and make coffee.
My uncle Zeus is the GM/Owner of the Brooklyn Nets.
Percy's dad Poseidon is the GM/Owner of the New York Knicks
Nico's dad and my Uncle Hades is the GM/Owner of the Golden State Warriors
I call my uncle Zeus first.
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
"This is Zeus!" Zeus says.
"Hey Uncle Z! Its Brian!" I say.
"What's up Brian I am kinda busy right now." Zeus says.
"Well I guess you didn't hear I am now the GM of the Philadelphia 76ers now and I'm looking at my roster and I'm planning on rebuilding the Roster." I tell him
"Really? Who are you shopping?" Zeus says.
"Everyone except Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, and Mike Scott. But if there is a right deal Tobias, Mike and Seth will be available" I say.
"Well I have to talk to my guys and get back to you maybe tomorrow." Zeus says.
"Ok! Good luck in the draft this Thursday."
I say.
"You too." Zeus says and hangs up.
I sigh he probably doing predraft workouts
I call Poseidon next and he picks up after one ring
"Hey Uncle P. Its Brian I'll just get to the point. I'm now the GM of the 76ers and we are doing a rebuild mode and are taking offers" I tell him.
"Congrats to you Percy, Nico, Achilles and Blake and who is the untouchables?" Poseidon asks.
"Everyone is available except Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, and Mike Scott. But if there is a right deal Tobias, Mike and Seth will be available" I tell him
"Ok I'll call up tomorrow I got a predraft workout to get done good luck this Thursday" Poseidon says
"Ok and you too." I tell him and hang up.
I sigh and look up on my computer and see the players I want in return from Zeus and Poseidon.
From the Nets I Want Joe Harris, Landry Shamet and a 1st rounder this year because they have 3 this year.
From the Knicks I want Julius Randle, JT Barrett, Frank Ntilikina and a 1st rounder
as they have 2 this year and next year
From the Warriors I want either the 7th or 14th overall pick in this year's draft and James Wiseman.
"Percy Come here for a minute" I call out
"What's up?" Percy asks
"Zeus and Poseidon both said they'll call us tomorrow. I want you to call Hades. I'll be down watching the predraft workouts myself." I said.
"Ok if Hades ask who do we want what do I say?" Percy asks.
"Ask for James Wiseman and either the 7th or 14th overall pick. Everyone is available except Thybulle, Embiid, and Maxey." I tell him.
"If Hades is interested have him call him." I say walking to our practice facility.
Time Skip: 2 Hours before the Draft
I arrived at the Arena for the draft 3 hours ago and told everyone we are available for trade talks.
So far not a single call. I go to catering because I'm hungry and of course as soon as I got a big plate full of food my phone rings.
I put my food down.
"Hello this is Brian" I said
"Hello Brian its Zeus." Zeus says
"Hows it going?" I ask.
"Pretty Good we were wondering what You were looking for in a trade?"
"Everyone is available from us except for Joel Embiid Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle. I was looking at your roster earlier and we really just want Joe Harris and Landry Shamet along with a first rounder." I say.
"Ok well get back to you later." Zeus says and hangs up.
I sigh and pick up my food
Half a hour later I go with my guys to the elevator to go down to go to our table for the draft.
I see Zeus walking up to me.
"Ok so we want the 45th overall pick for this year and a 2nd rounder next year, Dwight Howard, Anthony Tolliover, and George Hill for Joe Harris, Landry Shamet and the 17 overall pick tonight."
"Deal! But let's keep it hush hush until around the 5th overall pick." I say in a whisper.
I get in the elevator and tell my guys the deal.
"I just talked to my dad and he sent in a offer." Percy says.
"Well.. What's the offer?" I say as we exit the elevator. He tells me to wait until we are alone and away from the reporters.
"The offer is JT Barrett, Julius Randle, Frank Ntilikina and the 11th overall pick for Kyle O'Quinn, Seth Curry, Paul Reed, Mike Scott and Rayjon Tucker" Percy says.
"Tell him deal and to keep it hush hush until the 5th overall pick." I say ask Nico runs over to us.
"Guys my dad just sent me a text offer and said we have 15 minutes to respond."
"What's the offer?" I ask.
"Ben Simmons, Isaiah Joe, Tobias Harris, and our 39th over pick tonight for James Wiseman and both the 7th overall and the 14th overall pick tonight" Nico says. My eyes widened
"Tell him deal and to keep it hush hush until the pick is up at last minute of the 7th overall pick." I tell him.
"Holy shit dude we just got done 3 trades in 10 minutes." Percy whispers to me.
"I know. The fans will be like What the Fuck are you doing!" I say as my phone rings again.
"Hello this is Brian" I say.
"Hello Brian! This is Bob Teague the GM of the Detroit Pistons." Bob says
"Hows it going! What can I do for ya?" I say and ask.
"We dont have a pick until the 47th overall pick tonight and we heard your going to be rebuilding." Bob says.
"Ok! So you want our 27th overall pick?" I say and ask.
"Yeah who's available for you right now?" Bob asks.
"Well we are in trade talks with multiple teams right now but the only person we haven't gotten a offer for is Furkan Korkmaz." I say.
"Oh Really? Korkmaz is available? Ok how about this you give us Korkmaz and the 27th overall pick and we'll give you Sekou Doumbouya!?" Bob says as I did a spit take as I was drinking Pepsi.
"Deal! Let's keep it hush hush until our pick at 27." I say in a whisper because alot of reporters are looking at me on the phone trying to see who I'm on the phone with.
"That sounds like a plan" He whispers back at me as he hang up the the phone.
We both look at each other and act like we're talking to someone else because two of the top reporters are around us.
Shams and Woj.
Woj sits down with me as I pretend to be receiving information about a players injury history that was just brought up.
"Wow Really? So hes a no then because if he has hip and back problems he'll be out a lot" I say
I look at Woj and hold a finger
"Look I got to go." I say as a hang up.
"What up Woj?" I asked.
"I heard your rebuilding the team and I was wondering why rebuild now when many players are still young and what are you planning on doing?"
"Well they brought me in to fix the dumpster fire we have in the locker room because behind the scenes we have players fighting with each other and with the old coaches. New Players, Coaches and system is what we needed that's what I am doing. I'll tell you this next years roster will be different alot of young guys, guys from overseas, We are shopping everyone right now except for Maxey, Thybulle and Embiid." I tell him.
After he leave he tweets what I told him and to be honest I thought the fans would try to throw me out of town but they think it's for the best.

"Welcome to the NBA draft tonight we have alot of young prospects some are ready for the NBA draft."
"Now earlier Woj had talked to the new GM of the Philadelphia 76ers Brian Dreyer and Brian called the locker room a Dumpster Fire and said that theres alot of stuff that's been happening behind the scenes players fighting each other, Players fighting coaches and that changes needed to be made. Do you believe what he said."
"Yes I do because a few times that I was there last season for practice as I was leaving some players showed up late. The ones that were there early were angry that they showed up late and punches were thrown and a week later the players who were at practice early and fought the one who was late was traded away which if I was him I would be pissed because they are a team and you practice together not when you want to. Hopefully the one who showed up late is traded tonight."
"Which ones were the ones who fought?"
"It was Dario Saric and Ben Simmons."
"I think Ben's time in Philadelphia is up."
"Here's the commissioner Adam Silver."
"Hello Everyone welcome the 2021 NBA Draft. We have amazing prospects here tonight. Tonight we Welcome them to the Family.
The New York Knicks are now on the clock."
"Now I heard some Rumblings that New York Knicks are in trade talks with Philadelphia 76ers."
"Yeah right but not for the 1st overall pick"
"Well No but I hear that the 11th overall pick is dealt to Philadelphia in a blockbuster deal that also involves JT Barrett and Julius Randle going to Philadelphia and maybe more for O'Quinn, Curry, Reed and More."
"How do you know this?"
"I overheard a conversation between Poseidon Olympia and Percy Jackson who is Father and son."
"How do you know a deal was made?"
"I saw them shaking hands and saying deal."
"Heres the Commissioner with the pick."
"With the First overall pick in the 2021 draft the New York Knicks select Alex Covington a Center from Duke University.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are now on the Clock."
"Wow Alex Covington is a rebound machine. Last season he averaged 14.6 Rebounds per game."

Travis PoV:
I'm so bored so far no trade has happened yet. Usually there's a trade by now. it's the 5th pick in the 2021 draft.
Phones Ring...
"We got something Connor!" I say.
"Hello!" I say.
"I got the New York Knicks." Connor says
"And Philadelphia 76ers." I say
"Give it to me." I say to Brian Dreyer of the 76ers.
"Ok so Philadelphia is sending Kyle O'Quinn, Seth Curry, Paul Reed, Mike Scott and Rayjon Tucker to New York Knicks in exchange for JT Barrett, Julius Randle, Frank Ntilikina and the 11th overall pick." Brian says to me
I write it down and hand it to the commissioner.
I hang up and 2 minutes later the phone rings again.
"Brooklyn Nets" Connor says.
"Philadelphia 76ers again!" I say.
"Give it to me!" I say to to Percy.
"Philadelphia is sending the 45th overall pick for this year and a 2nd rounder next year, Dwight Howard, Anthony Tolliover, and George Hill for Joe Harris, Landry Shamet and the 17 overall pick tonight."
Percy tells me.
I write it down and give it to the commissioner as hes about to give the 5th overall pick selection.
He looks at me wide eyed and approved both trades and walks out to announce the 5th overall pick and the trades.
"We have 2 big trades. Philadelphia 76ers fans you may or may not like this.
The first trade is Philadelphia is sending Kyle O'Quinn, Seth Curry, Paul Reed, Mike Scott and Rayjon Tucker to New York Knicks in exchange for JT Barrett, Julius Randle, Frank Ntilikina and the 11th overall pick." Gasps are heard then the cheers hit from 76ers fans. Boos are heard from Celtics fans because they want JT Barrett and Julius Randle.
"The Second trade is Philadelphia is sending the 45th overall pick for this year and a 2nd rounder next year, Dwight Howard, Anthony Tolliover, and George Hill for Joe Harris, Landry Shamet and the 17 overall pick tonight." Philadelphia Fans goes nuts to get Shamet back.
"With the 5th overall pick the Chicago Bulls select Sam Johnson a Small Forward from Miami University.
The Miami Heat are now on the clock."

"The Golden State Warriors are now on the Clock."

"I think the take the best guy available for them which is either Derek Hale, Scott McCall or Liam Dunbar"
"Philadelphia is hoping that Derek Hale falls to them at 11."
"Yeah they had him in for 3 predraft workouts within the last week alone."
