Hey, Dark Gothic Lolita here!

I just found and finished this manga and I'm big mad that it was only 29 chapters long. I couldn't let the scene where Usagi said he wanted Sharyu to be his friend the most pass me by. Of course they're now my favourite pairing alongside Ox and Tiger.

This is my first story for this fandom, so I hope it goes well!

I definitely don't own Juuni Taisen otherwise Usagi would have won. I apologise in advance for my poor spelling and any grammatical errors.

ENJOY!

Crazy in love

Oneshot

"U-Usagi. S-stop that, n-not here!"

The said man just laughed as he continued with what he was doing. He sucked at his girlfriend's neck harshly as she gasped out in pure delight. He had her back against him, one arm around her waist and the other roughly groping her breast. The woman was sporting a deep red blush on her cheeks and while she had the strength to push him away, she certainly didn't bother. She guessed she could allow it. He had grabbed her suddenly and hid the both of them out of the public eye and they were in some alleyway instead.

He was teasing her. She was still fully clothed, not a single part of her skin was on for show except for her neck. He kept pinching at her nipple through her top as her back arched, as if begging him to remove it from the confines of her jacket. He never did.

"If we don't do it here Sharyu, where else would we do it? No, no, it has to be here. It's gotta be here!"

Many people told Sharyu time and time again that they thought her boyfriend was insane. In all honesty, they're not wrong at all. Usagi is indeed a mad man and at some point, Sharyu wanted to be his saviour, be the one who taught him how to be sane. She soon learnt that it wasn't that easy. Usagi didn't need saving, Usagi just wanted friends. So she gave him friendship. She decided that she was going to be the best friend he needed and he really seemed to appreciate that.

It wasn't long before Sharyu found herself enjoying his psychotic company. She didn't even bother asking him about his past because by the looks of things, he didn't even have one. Either he was raised by a fluffle of killer rabbits or he was subjected to abuse. Either way, Sharyu knew it wasn't her place to ask, so she never did. She guessed that if the topic ever came up for discussion, he would tell her when he's ready.

Sometimes her mind went to places where it shouldn't go. "Does he not trust me? Does he think I'll leave him the moment he tells me about his jaded past? He should know me by now, I will never judge him. I wonder what kind of sickos he met in his life that have him twisted this way. Do I remind him of them?"

Before she knew what was happening, a tear left her eye and it landed on Usagi's arm. The confused man paused his actions and looked up at the sky, wondering if it was raining. He stared up in utter confusion before he could feel his girlfriend shaking.

"EH?! Sharyu?! Your eyes are leaking!"

She couldn't help but giggle through the tears. That's right, he used off terminology like that sometimes. She shook her head, but he wasn't having it. Not when she was crying. He immediately let her go before twisting her around so that she faced him. She averted her eyes from his, not wanting to look at how intense his eyes were.

"Sharyu?"

"Oh Usagi-kun, it's nothing! Don't worry about me. Come on, let's go and get some ice cream!"

She reached out for his hand and tried to pull him along, but he didn't budge. She turned back around to look at him and shivered when she saw his face devoid of a smile. He was usually easy to distract with food. Her mind was thrown back to the first time she asked him to eat with her. His reaction had been so heartbroken. He had never eaten with another person. He opened his mouth to speak before she could.

"You told me that if someone's eyes leak, it usually means that they're upset when they also have a sad face. You have a sad face. What's wrong Sharyu? Did I hurt you?" His eyes stared at the mark that he had just given her. His teeth were unusually sharp and while they gave him the look of a delinquent, Sharyu knew that he actually had a heart of gold and wasn't as scary as people thought him to be. It's just that he clearly didn't have the right upbringing when it came to certain situations.

Her hand flew up to the mark he had left on her neck and with a blush, she shook her head to say no. In fact, she loved it when he marked her like that. Many will say that Usagi learned many things from Sharyu, but she also admitted that she learned many things from him too. She also wasn't ashamed to say that she did. She learned that there were times when she just had to realise that not everyone wanted to hear her optimistic way of thinking and that there were people who were more than ready to exploit her kindness. She had actually been hurt way more by people who were seen as sane compared to her boyfriend. How ironic.

"No, not at all! You could never hurt me!"

She could still see doubt in his eyes as she bit her lip. "I was just thinking about some sad stuff that made me a bit teary, that's all. I'm okay now, see?"

She wiped her tears and shot him a brilliant smile, one that made him smile back too. He closed the gap between them and cupped her cheek with his hand as he gently rubbed his thumb on her skin in circles. Sharyu found herself melting at his touch as she tilted her head upwards, practically begging for a kiss. Usagi let out a laugh to show how mentally unhinged he is before giving her what she wanted.

He was never gentle with her and she loved it. She even forgot that they're in public, which was the main reason she had wanted Usagi to stop feeling her up in the first place. Still, she didn't seem to care right now, anyone could watch and she wouldn't really mind.

She dug her fingers into his hair and tugged hard as he chuckled and delved deeper into her mouth using his tongue and teeth. She shuddered everytime he plunged in deeper, as if trying to take over her and possess her body.

Without any warning, he pulled back and Sharyu whined with a pout. Usagi laughed hysterically as he reached out for her hand. She held onto it as if it were her only lifeline in life and Usagi couldn't help himself as he closed his eyes with a grin. Sharyu's heart warmed at the sight. He looked so damn cute whenever he made that face. The face of a child who had just received the best gift in the world and he always did it whenever she did something small like hold his hand or give him a small kiss on the cheek.

"Let's go and get ice cream then! But are you sure? You're really, really, really sure that you're okay?"

She knew he wasn't going to let it go. In the beginning, Usagi would have never cared. Probably because he wouldn't actually be able to tell that she was sad, even if she were sobbing out her heart. He had been so unused to emotions that it took Sharyu a long time to show him emotions and what they all meant. He used to be confused whenever she would ask him how he was whenever they met up, but he slowly warmed up to the idea when he found out it was something that friends do.

Friends check up on each other to make sure that they're okay.

Being so desperate for friends, Usagi drank in all the necessary information needed to be a good friend and how to keep them around forever. He also listened quietly and carefully as if he were taking mental notes and storing them for whenever a situation where he needed them arose. Sharyu always thought this side of him was so cute.

"I'm sure, Usagi. C'mon, let's go!"

He scooped her up into his arms and started running through the late night crowd to the one ice cream parlour that would still be open at this insane time. It didn't matter how many times Usagi did it. Whenever he held her in his arms like this, she was as red as a tomato. She always placed her head on his chest where his heart was and found the erratic sound of his heartbeat extremely soothing. Hmm, maybe she was going a little insane too.

They got to the parlour in no time and the part timer waved at them tiredly when he saw them. He always seemed to be there whenever they came for ice cream. "Oh look, it's the nutter and his girlfriend. The usual?"

Usagi never let the guy's words phase him, mostly because he saw him as a friend and he nodded his head quickly and childishly. "Double yes please!"

Sharyu smiled. "Thank you, Nezumi. We'll be over at our usual table!"

The guy just yawned and nodded with a dismissive wave of his hand. Usagi placed Sharyu down to her feet as they walked together to their usual booth which was always out of sight from the main restaurant. The two of them liked to have their privacy when they were out and about in public spaces.

Sharyu sat down first and slid across so that Usagi could slide in next to her. His arm found its way around her waist as he pulled her in closely to his side. Sharyu breathed in deep, taking in his fresh scent of laundry and even the cologne that he had started to wear. She bought it once for his birthday (it's the only thing of his past that she actually knows) and he hasn't stopped wearing it ever since.

"Sharyu? Will you tell me now why you were...um...tearing up? Did I get it right?"

"Yes you did. Don't worry, it's a stupid reason."

Usagi actually pouted. "No, no, but I need to know! Nothing about you is stupid, c'mon, just tell me! OH! OH, OH, OOOOH! You don't really trust me yet, right?"

Sharyu pulled away in horror. "WHAT?!"

Usagi nodded, not at all bothered as he even smiled. Still, the smile didn't quite reach his crimson orbs. "Yeah, yeah! Deep down like everyone else, you think I'm craaazyyy!"

Sharyu shook her head, wanting to put an end to this thought process immediately. "What, no! I keep thinking that you don't trust me!"

Usagi stopped and stared at her, his face frozen as it currently was. Sharyu had to admit it, she hated it when he did this to her. He always paused mid smile, his eyes never giving anything away. She knew that this was usually his way of processing things halfway through trying to deal with him and she wondered how long it would take before he started moving again.

He finally blinked and Sharyu released her breath that she didn't even realise she was holding. "Whaddya mean you think I don't trust you?"

Sharyu shrugged, trying to make it not seem as serious as she thinks it is. "It's just that you never really tell me anything about you. I don't know anything about your family or your upbringing. I don't know if there was anyone in your past that hurt you or anything. Sometimes I wonder if you think I will hurt you and that's the real reason why you never tell me anything. I just don't want you thinking that I'll ever betray you."

At this point, she was so embarrassed about what she was saying that she just shoved her face into his side and tried to hide her blooming face. She heard Usagi chuckle lightly and couldn't help but find it attractive. He had never chuckled like that before.

"Here's your usual order. Try and keep it down, others might come in at this inane time for some ice cream."

Sharyu could hear the sarcasm in Nezumi's voice, but she didn't have the energy to reprimand the teenager. Instead, she kept herself where she was, in Usagi's well sculpted chest.

"Sure!" Usagi was the one to respond as he raised a hand to wave at Nezumi who was already walking off. After counting to ten, Sharyu finally raised her head and stared up at Usagi who was staring back at her with those eyes of his.

"Sharyu. I trust you the most on this planet. I just don't talk about my past for two reasons. One, you never asked."

While that was true, she could never find a nice way to mention it. "I was trying not to be rude, I thought it was hard for you to bring up and I didn't want to bring back any bad memories," she mumbled as she grabbed her fork to play around with her waffle.

Usagi appreciated that as he continued. "And second, I don't wanna tell you about all the bad things that happened to me! You're too good to have to listen to all that stuff."

He did that cute smile again where he closed his eyes and had a light blush as he aimed it at her. Sharyu's heart thumped hard in her chest. One because of the smile and two because she was right. He did have a harsh upbringing like she had thought and it was so harsh that he didn't even want her to know a single bit of it.

She grabbed his hand as her eyes glistened. "Was it really that bad?"

Usagi laughed and nodded. "Yep! But it's okay, it's all over! I'm here, with you! I'm happy, happy, happy! Just trust me and stop looking at me like that! Seeeee, this is why I never wanted to tell you! I can't be the reason why my girlfriend has leaks from her eyes!"

Sharyu can still remember the day that both hers and Usagi's friendship went to the next level. Sharyu had been waiting for Usagi to show up at the shopping mall so that they could shop together when the younger brother of the Tatsumi twins showed up and tried to chat her up. Of course she deflected his flirting the best she could, not wanting to be rude about it, but she didn't know that Usagi had shown up and was watching.

When Tatsumi finally left, Usagi showed up. Without even being subtle with the fact that he had been watching their interaction, he asked about their conversation.

"Is Tatsumi your friend? Because that was a different kind of conversation. We've never spoken to each other like that, should I speak to you like that too?"

Sharyu blushed. "I-I mean if you want to, but Tatsumi was just being annoying. People talk like that if they like each other more than friends. I don't want to be more than friends with Tatsumi though."

Usagi just stared at her while trying to work things out. He stepped closer. "So...there's a step further than being friends?"

Sharyu nodded, staring into his eyes. "Y-yes," she whispered. "You know how people get married? That kind of relationship?" She watched him nod before she continued. "The step before that is called dating. This is the step further than friendship to see if you want to get married and be together for the rest of your lives. You can only do this one person at a time. You'll be a bad person if you try to marry two people at once, although it can depend on the country or culture you belong to...But there's usually a feeling you come across when you find that one person you want to date..."

Usagi nodded slowly, processing this information. Sharyu wondered if it would take him a while to understand it. After all, he wanted to be friends with everyone in the world at this point. She hoped that he would understand the difference.

"So how do I know when I find this person? Is there some gut instinct that I gotta go through? What's the difference?"

Sharyu blushed as she tried to find a way to explain. It was difficult because she was basically describing the way she felt for him. "W-well, even when you have a group of friends, you find that there is only one person you want to spend all of your time with. You feel your heart beating fast whenever they're around...It almost annoys you whenever you see someone else talking to the person you like in the way that Tatsumi just did with me."

Usagi blinked and clutched at his chest. "So you mean, the way I feel right now is normal?"

Sharyu blushed deeply as she jumped back in surprise. She hadn't expected for him to come out with that. "Wh-what?"

He held her hand up to his chest as she could feel how wildly it was pumping in his chest. "Whenever I hang out with you, I really like it. Way better than whenever I hang out with Nezumi and I definitely like you better than Inounoshishi. I felt some kind of...bad feeling that you don't like when I just saw Tatsumi talking to you. I think...I think that I want to talk to you like that."

Sharyu gasped as she could feel her body heating up beyond belief. He was talking about jealousy. She snatched her hand back quickly as she held it up against her chest. Her eyes fell straight to the floor, as if she couldn't look at him anymore. Her own heart was pounding against her ribcage and she felt as if she were about to collapse. Did he really just say that? And did he really just say that he likes her better than Inounoshishi? As much as that woman hated her and she found her to be a bitch, she couldn't deny how beautiful she is.

"Uuuuh, did I make you uncomfortable? Oh that's bad, I'm a bad friend!"

Sharyu's eyes widened as she quickly shook her head. She didn't want him to feel bad about her panic. She just couldn't believe that this was happening! "N-no, I...I feel the same way...Let's work these feelings out together, okay?"

Usagi felt himself grow extremely happy. He really couldn't understand it, but he knew that he was going to be okay in Sharyu's capable hands. She had already been the first friend that he had ever wanted that he didn't need to manipulate into being his friend. She actually seemed to like him, so now that he had confessed (is that what he's doing?) and she had said she felt the same way, he had never been happier.

"Okay, fine, I'll stop worrying about your past."

Usagi stuffed a huge amount of his waffle into his mouth and nodded with happiness from the dessert. He chewed quickly and swallowed. "Good! Who cares about the past anyway?! I'm fine as long as you're in my future!"

His ability to say cute things so casually never failed to amaze her. She smiled next to him as she kicked her legs underneath the table just like her boyfriend did as they enjoyed their dessert together.

"OH! But we still have to continue what we were doing before? Can we? Please don't say no!"

Sharyu giggled a little bit and nodded her head. She knew he was talking about what they had been doing in the alleyway before they came to the ice cream parlour.

"We can do it when we get to your place."

"Will you stay the night?"

"Do you want me to?"

Usagi nodded his very cutely. "Yes I would, I would definitely love having you stay around! Please?"

Sharyu nodded. "Okay then. Anything for you." Then slowly under her breath, she also said. "I love you after all." She looked back up at him to see if he had heard her, but he hadn't. She smiled softly while she watched him eat. She wasn't sure if she was brave enough for him to hear the words just yet, but she couldn't help herself.

She was crazy in love with a crazy man.

So how was that? Hopefully I'll write more for this fandom!
