Hope's Peak Academy. It's name is known to anyone who has been on the internet for longer than a few minutes. A high school that holds the same prestige of many of the most revered universities, but distinguishes itself from the rest by recruiting its student body according to their specific skills. They seek prodigious youths from all matters of fields - whether it be medical, sports, entertainment, and so on and so forth. It is rumored that anyone who is fortunate enough to be chosen to be amongst the academy's esteemed student body would be guaranteed a life of success.

However, as the legend goes, this is a mere lie. Anyone who is lucky enough to receive one of the letters declaring their entrance into the academy is said to never be seen again. They simply disappear off the face of the world, never to be seen again by friends or family.

Then what is the truth behind the legend? Nobody knows. The existence of Hope's Peak first made the rounds on the internet a few years ago, but nobody is quite sure where it came from, and who it was that started it. However, the story spread through the web, developing a rather large internet following that were curious about whether or not there was any truth to this mystery. However, as with any urban legend, there always comes the hoaxes.

False letters from Hope's Peak became a common prank for those familiar with the legend. As it goes, there was much amusement to be derived from this joke - and to those who are superstitious, fear. Eventually, once the initial excitement over it had faded away with time, the legend of Hope's Peak had come to be accepted as that. A legend.

That is why nobody believed that this round of letters were anything more than a joke, and a tired one at that.

They were mistaken.

This is a refurbished version of a story concept I've had floating around for awhile, ever since I had my old account. I have some time on my hands so I thought - "hey, why not make this a reality?" So here we are. By the way, I have no idea whether Danganronpa SYOCs are dead or if as a whole is dead, but I figured I might as well give it a shot regardless lmao.
