And here we are, the beginning of the first Class Trial! Hope you all enjoy it!
Chapter 1-6: Pure Love True Hate- Class Trial Part 1
The elevator soon stopped and the doors opened, revealing a court room with Monomaho sitting on a throne at the other side. In the center of the room was a ring of stands, each with a name on them, but in one space was a photo of Konohana with a stylized X painted over it.
"What the heck is that?" Yvette asked.
"Are you meaning the photo? Well, I just thought it would be nice if the people who were killed still had a spot in the trial. Isn't that kind of me?" Monomaho giggled.
"Kind isn't exactly the word I would use." Cora commented.
"Well, no more dilly dallying! Everyone take your places!" Monomaho said. After a moment, everyone went to their assigned places.
Hanako stood at the opposite end of the throne, directly facing it. To the right of her was Noburo, and continuing in that direction, was Yvette, Takeshi, Konohana's Picture, Atsushi, Cora, Aster, Mila, Loch, Phoebe, Kenzo, Yuria, Chase, Gerard, and finally Koichi who was to her direct left.
"Is everyone all seated and comfortable? Good! Now, let's get this first Class Trial a-started!" Monomaho said as she waved her wand as smoke appeared above them with words.
Trial In Session!

"Now, let me give you the basic run down of how this'll go down. You all need to use all the clues you gathered to figure out who among you in a cold-blooded killer! If you vote right, I'll execute the Blackened! But if you get it wrong~, I'll execute everyone besides the Blackened and they'll get to be free!" Monomaho explained.
"How exactly are we supposed to go about this?" Noburo asked. "None of us have even been in a courtroom before."
"Guess we just make it up as we go." Aster shrugged and smiled.
"Yeah, that should work out perfectly." Noburo said, rolling his eyes.
"If I had to guess, I think we should start with Konohana's body and work our way from there." Cora suggested, raising her hand a bit.
"Might as well." Yvette shrugged as they all pulled out their Monomaho Pads.
"Well, Konohana died from freezing at 1:30 AM." Hanako read out loud. "That wasn't too far off from when the slumber party ended."
"Yeah, someone was tempted by the motive that quickly." Aster said.
"But, I don't understand how she died outside the pool instead of in it? Isn't freezing kinda instant?" Loch asked.
"Not exactly, but I guess that's a good discussion point to go off of." Noburo said.
"Yeah." Hanako agreed, it was a good jumping off point as any.

Phoebe: I will admit that I imagine a death like freezing to be instant.
Loch: See! Phoebe even thinks so!

"I'm sorry, what?" Phoebe asked, surprised at the sudden outburst
Hanako blushed slightly in embarrassment. "Got caught up in the moment. Anyways, you are wrong that the death was instant, but it was close to it. She really died from Hypothermia."
"Yeah." Noburo nodded. "Rapid set Hypothermia. I seen it before, and it didn't help that the water was below freezing thanks to Yuria."
"Excuse me for having habits." Yuria defended herself.
"Let's not place blame." Phoebe said, trying to ease the tension.
"Seems like the perfect time to do that, to be honest." Takeshi said sheepishly.
"Excuse me." Cora interrupted. "But we really should get back to the matter at hand. And maybe discuss more about Konohana's body."
"And the pool. There was a bit of blood at the scene if I remember correctly." Yuria said.
"Oh yeah, where did that come from?" Gerard asked.
"The most obvious answer would be from Konohana herself." Chase scoffed, crossing his arms. "I mean, did you even read the File we were given?"
"Oh, right... sorry..." Gerard muttered quietly.
"It's okay, we all make mistakes." Cora comforted. "But we should discuss how that injury was made."

Phoebe: Hm, I suppose.
Mila: ... Anyways, if the culprit is non human, any blunt item would do the trick.

"Mila is right, because I believe this is the item that caused that injury." Koichi said as they brought out the reel to show everyone.
"Hey! Is that from my fishing rod? Aw man, does that mean it's broken?" Loch asked.
"Oh! The fish are safe now!" Cora said with a smile and spark in her eye.
"Aw well, guess I'll just have to use my spare." Loch shrugged.
"Oh..." Cora slumped over, dejected.
"Maybe next time." Phoebe comforted with a sweatdrop at Cora's behavior.
"That little thing is what caused that injury?" Yvette asked.
"I believe so, otherwise there wouldn't be blood on it." Koichi said, switching to a mask Hanako believed to convey sarcasm.
"You better be glad you aren't affected by my magic traditionally." Yvette growled.
"Where did you find that?" Kenzo asked.
"It was behind the TV when I found it. I don't know when it was placed though." Koichi shrugged as they switched back to the neutral mask.
"How did you find it there if it was back there?" Takeshi asked.
"It was rather shiny so-"
"Your story is absolute garbage!"
"C-Chase?" Cora asked, surprised at the sudden announcement.
"Are you all that stupid to believe they just found it? It's obvious that they're the one who killed her!" Chase declared.
"That's jumping the gun." Kenzo said. "We don't have all the evidence yet."
"We have all the evidence we need!" Chase countered.
"Looks like I'll have deal with it." Kenzo said

Kenzo: And I doubt that if Koichi was the killer, they would show us it anyways.

Chase: It's obvious that they couldn't hide it elsewhere while they were with everyone last night.

"W-what?" Chase stopped his argument in shock.
"Koichi couldn't have done what you said. They didn't even sleep with us last night." Kenzo said.
"It's true. I couldn't go to sleep last night so I just went to my room so I wouldn't wake anyone." Koichi nodded.
"So, if they were the killer, they would've woken someone up and got caught." Atsushi said.
"Yeah, I guess if they didn't sleep with us, they wouldn't know where we slept and probably would trip on one of us." Gerard commented.
"Exactly, now do you see how wrong you are?" Kenzo asked, looking at Chase.
Chase glared at him before he crossed his arms and looked away. "Seems my judgement was off, as rare as that is."
"Right. Whatever you say." Kenzo said, shaking his head.
"Now that that's out of the way, we should keep discussing the case." Mila said.
"I'm still confused on how she died outside of the pool instead of in it." Loch piped up.
"He does makes a point, if she was knocked out, how did she get herself out?" Cora asked.
"Maybe the killer just left her by the pool?" Gerard guessed.
"She wouldn't be that wet if she was." Yvette said, rolling her eyes.
"Hm..." Phoebe closed her eyes and fiddled a little with her ribbon as she thought.

"She was woken up by the shock of the freezing water when she was dropped in." Phoebe reasoned out. "Her head wound must've still made her delirious, making herself unable to get out before her hypothermia was set in and rapidly progressing."
"Ooh..." Takeshi shivered. "What a scary way to go."
"I think we've established how she died, now we need to figure out how she got there." Hanako said.
"It was pretty soon after the party. Perhaps she was taken forcefully." Yuria suggested.
"Then we would've been woken up." Cora countered. "If I was being kidnapped, I would put up a fight. I believe Konohana would've done the same."
"So, that rules out that." Aster nodded.
"How else could she have been drawn there?" Loch asked.
"Come on, it's obvious." Yvette said as she brought out her pad.

"See?" Yvette said, showing everyone. "We had found a note near the crime scene meant for Konohana."
"Right, that weird note." Noburo sighed softly.
"Restore the Sight? What does that mean?" Takeshi asked.
"That could mean a number of things in the magical community." Yvette said. "And it obvious this isn't talking about normal sight either."
"So, possibly to see things that aren't there?" Takeshi guessed.
"Well, we found our bait, but who sent it?" Loch asked.
There was a moment of quiet muttering as to think about who might've sent it before Yuria cleared her throat.
"Pardon me, but I do believe that Hanako might have an idea about this." Yuria said, making all eyes turn to the witch.
"W-what?" Hanako asked.
"I recall Aster and I overhearing you and Konohana talking about this Sight and how you have a spell to restore it." Yuria continued.
"I do recall hearing that." Aster nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I did anything with it." Hanako said.
"That's rather suspicious." Chase said.
"Why haven't you said anything about this before?" Kenzo asked.
"I didn't think it was necessary to talk about, it wasn't part of the case yet." Hanako defended.
"But you did read the note and didn't say anything about that then." Noburo said.
"Heh, the so called more powerful magic user is our killer, should've guessed." Yvette smirked smugly.
"I didn't kill her!" Hanako said, looking around worriedly as the others talked.
"I mean, the writing looks like a girl's so..." Loch said.
"I don't want to believe it, but..." Phoebe said, clasping her hands together.
"It sounds like it's true." Takeshi said.
"No, I'm not the killer." Hanako said, her hands gripping the stand in front of her tightly as the talking continued until a sharp voice cut through.
"You're all a bunch of idiots."

And here we are with the first part of the trial. Let me tell you that I forgot how hard it is to write trials. Good thing I'm breaking it up into pieces. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed it, and maybe you have ideas on who is our Blackened. See y'all next time!
