morning found Stanley floating in that place between sleep and awake, still not sure of what was going on. He tried to reach for the covers, only to find himself unable.
"Huh?" he said, or tried to but all that came out was a tiny squeak.
"What!" he said again, but still nothing but a squeak. A trilling came from above of him. Closing his eyes, fear gripping him, he tilted his head up and cracked one eye open only to see a giant mouth of fangs. He did the only thing I could. He ran.
"there is no such thing as giant cats! There is no such things as giant cats!" he screamed, the frustrating squeak fueling his panic all the more until he ran into something solid. The iron strong hands of a giant picked him and lifted him to the giants eyes.
"Hello Stanley, I hear you met my daughter." said the woman, her smile too wide, eyes glowing with an inner flame. "Now, lets clear somethings up. Your 6 inches long and look very tasty to Mister Cuddles. Say hi Mister Cuddles."
To Stanley's everlasting horror the cat meowed. Fear gripped him and his bladder as never before.
"And you peed on me." said Mrs Hull with a frown. "Want to go back to being human?" she asked, that warm smile that looked so out of place on that face that promised pain and suffering. Stanley nodded, not trusting himself to speak or squeak.
"Ready? In 3...2...1..."
Stanley bolted upright and tumbled out of bed, the sheets tangled in his legs. He thrashed around on the floor before he managed to stand.
"Just a dream. God damn." he muttered as he made his way to the bathroom standing in front of the sink.
"It was just a dream." he said to himself, staring into his own eyes.
"Was it really?" came a seductive whisper from just behind him. He pissed himself again.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU TURNED HIM INTO A MOUSE AND THREATENED TO FEED HIM TO MISTER CUDDLES?! MOM, WHAT THE FUCK?!"
"I didn't want him thinking he could take advantage of you, that there are consequences for failure."
"Mom, you cast a aura of fear and terror so strong even I felt it."
"Well I also might have implied that he wouldn't actually stay dead."
"Mom~" Sarah groaned, "that is so illegal. We have rules for a reason."
"I wasn't going to, just wanted for him to understand that he can't escape."
"Mom, can I handle this, please? Isn't that the whole point of me being here, and you guys being there? I got this. Trust me."
"I can trust you if you can let me be a mother." Sarah could hear the smile through the phone.
"Fine." Sarah groaned.
