CH 55

The wave was right in front of them. Kaede snapped her head back. In their wake, they had made the turn and the boat behind them had almost completed the turn. Kaede felt a push as the wave hit. The front of their boat disappeared. She shielded her and Kouta and held them in place.

At first it was a push from the front and she heard a boom that shuddered through the boat, then a hard push up, like gravity had suddenly become very strong as they were rocketed up. Right after that she became weightless and water rained down over her shield like a waterfall. The boat tipped down, another big bounce and a splash, then another not so hard lift up and splash down in the water. Below from the cabin, she heard screams. The boat bounced some, the water around them settled back down into small waves.

Looking behind them, the small sailboat was still there on the end of it's tow line, but looked to be floating lower in the water.

The cabin door burst open. A frantic lookng Richie stuck his head out. "What the hell was that?" he cried.

Kaede saw the man on the other boat come out. Yes! they lived. Kaede beamed at Richie and said, "We just jumped a tsunami!"

Richie stared at her for a moment, then said, "Please, don't do that again."

Ron yelled up, "I'm looking for leaks!"

"Aye!" Kaede called back. She released her shield and asked, "Kouta, you OK?"

He nodded. "I am, but like Richie said, let's not to that again."

The ocean was back to smaller waves. Kaede went to the back and grabbed the tow line to pull the smaller boat close. "Hey, you all right back there?" she yelled.

The man waved "Yeah, front window broke out, just gotta pump a bunch of water out. I think we were airborne for a moment there!"

"I'm gonna report where and when. Still need the tow line?"

"I think we got it, let me pump this out first!"

Kaede let them drift back to the end of the line. She then went in to make the report of when they and 'Lot-a-Fun' met the tsunami, time, and location.

Kaede went down in the cabin. Anything that wasn't tied down was all over the place. There were also a few stunned looks. "We hit a tsunami?" John asked weakly.

"Head on," Kaede agreed. "Tis the only way ta minimize damage. Anyone hurt?"

"I bumped me head on the ceilin!" Kaene cried. "Me hammock threw me right inta it!"

Kaede went over to inspect her little girl's head. "Well, yer gonna have a bump, nay bleedin though." She kissed her daughter's head.

"You're not the only one," Amanda grumbled and started picking up clothes off the floor.

That was the trouble from not getting far enough out to sea. Well, they were far enough west so all they had to do was head south. Or so Kaede thought.

Other boats reported being in trouble. There were two to the south, Kaede got their positions and told the authorities she'd get those as soon as they got stabilized. Cameron took the helm and steered them south, Kaede had her head south for the closest one. Until Lot-a-fun was bailed out, they just towed it behind them. Ron reported no leaks, which was a good thing, and the desalinization plant was running with no troubles. They only problem they had was the big mess on the main deck. Knowing they were going to have to maneuver soon, Kaede just stayed on the engine. They still had plenty of fuel.

Before they got to the first stricken boat, Lot-a-fun was found to have a crack in the hull. The man and his woman got a surprise when Kaede brought their sailboat up beside the Sea Witch and got them on board, then lifted Lot-a-Fun up out of the water. They were able to patch the long crack with water proof tape. Setting the boat back down, the man verified the leak was stopped, then they went on their way.

It took the rest of the day to rescue one boat that had been overturned. Five people were clinging onto the overturned boat. Once the people there out of the water, Kaede lifted the boat and draining the water out, then turned it right side up. Those people weren't going to have much fun, but the boat and the batteries worked so they could go on their way. Kaede reported that this boat was now sailing back to land, then look for the other boat.

The only one from the second boat they found was a Frenchman in a life vest with a glow stick on it so they could see him in the dark. He'd been on a steel hulled power boat and was knocked off the boat when it hit the wave sideways. The rest of the crew and passengers had been in their bunks and went down with the boat. Cameron turned this report back into the French Marine. Thankfully, a French Coast Guard ship met them and took the man aboard.

Two days behind schedule, They finally got to a place far enough off the French coast to have a wedding ceremony, and it was raining. Cameron wasn't deterred, in the cabin was fine. Ron was at the helm, finally back on sail power, making the best speed he could as they gathered around the table for the wedding.

John and Cameron stood to the sides of the head of the table, Kaede back a couple steps in between them. She read from her paper.

"We are here at 47 point 24142 by negative 6 point 78677 by GPS coordinates in the Atlantic ocean to marry John McDonald and Cameron McDonald into holy matrimony as witnessed by Roberta Vasquez, Richard Ryan, Kouta Kikumura, Kanae Kikumura, Amanda Jeandeau, Claire …"

"But MOM!" Kanae cried, interrupting her, "My name is Kaene!"

Kaede eyed her. "Actually it's Kanae, you just like to be called Kaene. May I go on?"

"OK," Kaene said in a huff.

"With myself, Captain Dame Kaede Kikumura presiding. Let John and Cameron now speak their vows to each other. John?"

Smiling, John said in a serious tone, "Cameron, you are everything to me. I know we've had a hard life, but I want to be with you for the rest of our lives. To love you, to help you, to do the very best that I can for you, always."

"Cameron?" Kaede asked.

"John, no one else has even been the friend you have been to me. No one has ever taught me and guided me like you have. You saved me when you should have run away. Everything I do, I do it for you. Everything I am, is yours my John. Your love me and I love you, for as long as we exist," Cameron stated looking very happy.

Kaede announced, "Is there anyone present that can show reason why these to should not be wed? … Then by the power invested in me as Captain of the Sea Witch, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss now."

John and Cameron crashed together, arms around each other as they kissed deeply. Everyone clapped and cheered for them.

Kaede said, "I have to go make the log entry now When we get back, I'll give you a copy of it." Seeing they were still kissing, she decided to tell them again later.

.

While the Tsunami had been a brief, hair raising experience for Kaede and her crew, it had been massive destruction at the shores. Tsunamis were a 'pacific' thing. Neither England nor France had good warning systems or evacuation plans. Beach homes, marinas, some merchant ships and entire sea side communities ended up washed inland. The wave has indeed brought 35 feet of water onto the land that flooded areas in a rush. Rivers right at the sea had ran backwards and flooded inland areas. A freighter that had gotten washed up a river took out a modern bridge and bashed into a stone bridge hard enough to stick, and sunk there in place.

Like any wave, after the tsunami wave hit the shore, it washed back out to sea. Due to the mass of crumpled up buildings and debris washing back out into the ocean, Ron suggested and Kaede agreed to sail far from shore, at least 50 miles away from the affected area to keep from running into debris.

At least heading south, the weather got warmer and on a bright sunny day, the swimsuits came out. Claire had a light green one piece, all the other women, Kaede, Cameron, Roberta, and Amanda had bikini's on. Amanda thought it was silly she still had to wear topsider sneakers with her black bikini, but Kaede insisted.

Luckily, Spain was not as affected by the tsunami from Iceland. The port they pulled into had seen flooding, but the major part of the wave had missed them. The docks and services there were functional, and also busy due to more boats and ships coming in to a good supply point. Kaede even had to wait in a 'gas station' type line to get fuel. When they tied up, they were the second boat out on the dock, so they had to cross the inboard boat too get to the dock to go get groceries and supplies. By the time Roberta, Cameron and Amanda got back, the inboard boat was ready to leave, and two more boats were waiting for them to get back under way so they could tie up. Of course, police boats were everywhere directing harbor traffic.

Going through the Straights of Gibraltar was a little harder than Kaede had thought it would be. Only 8 miles wide, it was a ship highway. Everything going into the Med, or leaving it passed through here. Kaede followed the instructions of the maritime authorities and moved into the straights behind a freighter. Having to keep a constant speed, again, they had to use the engine. Speed 8 knots, just like the freighter in front of them.

Passing slowly through here, Claire, John, Cameron Richie and Roberta were tourists. They stayed topside on the foredeck , or course with Kaene watching them so no one would fall overboard and be lost. Kaede noted their comments, they could see Morocco and Spain at the same time, or Europe and Africa, two continents at once from standing on the deck. Roberta pointed out the Rock of Gibraltar.

Kaede was happy for them as she stayed by the helm with her maps and plotted positions out. Since this was a ship-highway, any deviation from the planned route had to be approved by the ship control authority. She was in constant communication, with them and other ships. The out flux of ships from the Mediterranean was passing by on the left. The line of ships she was in coming into the Mediterranean was on the right. It took a few hours to get away from the straights enough to turn. Even then, she had to send her 'intentions' to now, the Moroccan ship authority. They replied with instructions for the Sea Witch to move pretty much like she wanted, but with slight variations so she wouldn't run into anyone else.

Moving through this area, Kaede and Ron had to keep very aware of what ship was where and their headings. Cameron studied the radar to ensure nothing was getting too close to them. Once they were free of the area of the straights and having ships less than a mile from them, they were able to raise the sails and give the engine a rest.

Claire called home and let them know she was nearly to the Gulf of Lion, and they would be putting into Port St Louis du Rhone for the night. Claire also told Kaede they would be waiting tomorrow for her to arrive in Valance.

Kaede scrutinized the trip. It was going to be a hundred miles up river. It was also windy and in a few places, the river split. They'd need another fuel stop tonight. Kaede not being fluent at all in French, Amanda took on radio duties and when the did get to port, Amanda arraigned the fueling.

Once they were tied up at Port St. Lewis, Kaede and Ron set for the river voyage. Not sure how much 'head room' they would have, They brought down the fore mast and the main mast, and of course made sure the radar was turned off. It made the boat topside look odd. The boom with the mains sail in back split the boat port and starboard, but one could duck under it. With the fore mast laid back along the deck, and the main mast laid forward along the deck, there was no way to get over them. One had to go all the way to the back, duck under the boom, then come up the other side.

Kaede also found that while the river near the ports had nautical maps with depths and marked channels, after about ten miles up river, it was just river. Shallow areas were marked but the river as a whole wasn't. The Rhone was also split in many places, in one place it split into thirds. She had to plot carefully which arm of the river she was going to travel up, or she just might miss Valance completely.

Ron didn't know of any hotels in the area so Kaede had shore power hooked up and they stayed on the boat. There was a restaurant nearby and some shops. Claire did go with Amanda and Roberta on a shopping trip. Kaede decided to inspect the holds and engine room to ensure they had no damage from jumping that tsunami.

Kaede, Ron and Kouta were nearly done inspecting for any cracks in the boat, piping or tanks when Kanae came down into the lower deck. "Mommy, there's a guy on the dock that wants to talk to you. He's a reporter."

Kaede let out a huff. Seeing this, Kouta asked, "Want me to get rid of him?"

"I'll go," Kaede grumbled. "Ron..."

"Yeah, I'll finish the inspection, go on."

Kaede went up to talk to the man, grabbing Claire along the way. She took Claire up with her to have Claire ask the man what he wanted.

Claire conversed with him and nodded. She then told Kaede, He asked if we came from the Atlantic where that tsunami went through, I told him yes. He want's to know what happened."

Kaede said, "Tell him it was like a thirty foot hill rolling towards us, I had everyone get inside, hatches shut, except me and Kouta. When we hit the wave, we plowed into it, the whole front of the boat was underwater, then we shot up, and angled up fast. We made a big splash up front and out to the sides. We shot up the wave as our splash came down all over us. then we dropped as the wave went by, weightless like, then plowed into the water again. There was a smaller one behind it, so it was the same, but not as bad. Then tell him what happened inside."

Claire nodded an used a hand to show going into the wave and tipping up, then coming down fast as she explained. With hand motions she told of being pressed down hard, then everyone inside and everything flying around when they dropped. She extended a mind hand out, Kaede grasped it and understood what she was saying,

"Kaede was trying to get us into deeper water so it wouldn't be as bad, but this small, slow boat was going to be caught, so we towed it out to sea with us, but the wave caught us before we passed over the continental shelf. The other boat came down so hard that it cracked the fiberglass hull on their boat, but we got a patch on it before they went on their way."

The man asked something, Claire replied, "Yes, Kaede is the Captain. She said the safest way to hit it was head-on. She was right! We went to help others who got caught by it and found swamped boats, they hit the wave sideways and it tipped them over. One boat sank. We're glad we had Kaede!"

Claire listened to the man again and shook her head, "No, the Sea Witch is wooden, made of sturdy oak. Not fiberglass or thin metal. We didn't get damaged!'

The man looked at Kaede and put on a big smile. In broken English he asked, "You're Kaede Kumura?"

Kaede chuckled at his mis-pronunciation. "Qui, I am Dame Kaede. We jumped a Tsunami. Not your normal day at sea."

The man laughed. He shook their hands and went over to another boat.

.

The next day they left port early and began the long trip up river. For the first few miles of was pleasant and calm. Kaede kept track of where they were. Sunbathing room was limited due to the lowered masts, still Amanda, Claire and Roberta found places to lay down on their blankets. Kaede was tempted, but she followed every bend and stretch in the river as they went. Ron stayed on the helm. The river current was slow, so out of the ten knots they was making, they still got eight. With the masts down, they motored under every bridge with no problem. A couple Kaede was sure they could have made it with the masts up.

Kouta took plenty of pictures as they went up river. The best was coming upon another bridge, Kaede sensed other diclonius on the dock before the bridge. When they got closer, they all waved. Ron slowed and did his turn, putting the parallel to the dock, downstream. Kaede quickly grabbed the dock and kept them up against it. They tied up with help from Claire's relatives. Seeing they were downstream, Kaede had the lines doubled, just to be sure.

The Fournier family and the Petit family were eager to see the Sea Witch. Kaede let Claire and Amanda show them around. Kaede looked for any dock services. There wasn't any. It was a good thing they stored up on water before coming up river. 225 gallons in the tank and the batteries were fully charged. She figured they would survive the night OK. Annette and Jacques wanted Kaede and her 'crew' to stay a few days, as least come up and see the farm. With the boat shut down and locked up Kaede thought that would be OK. Ron though said he'd stay with the boat so Kaede didn't have to worry. Amanda also said she'd stay to keep Ron company. John and Cameron decided to go see the area. Kaede took them up on it. Everyone agreed to be back by morning in two days.

The Fournier family had a 12 passenger van they had come in. Claire, Kaede, Kanae, and Kouta got in with them. On the way to the farm, Claire excitedly told her family about her stay at the Castle Mcleod, and how hard it was making her mind hands stronger and faster. She then went on about the man they pulled out of the water and the huge wave they jumped. By the time she was telling about the mess all over the place after that jumped the 30 foot wave, Jacques was pulling up the long driveway, vineyards on both sides of them.

The Fournier family had a grand old manor house build of stone. The last time sh was here, Kaede hadn't had a chance to see it. She was glad she did this time. The gardens in back of the house contained many flowering plants planted in design patterns. Beyond was vegetable gardens planted in more conservative rows. At dinner or course there was wine, made right here. Everyone got a little tipsy and they had a great time.

.

The next day Ron took a walk with Amanda and noticed she was scrutinizing the buildings they passed. She smiled and said, "Kaede wants us back on board tomorrow morning, right?"

"Yeah, What did you want to do?"

"Take a walk with me tonight?" she asked, "Say about midnight?"

Ron eyed her. "Why midnight?"

"That building we passed, it's a depository."

Ron eyed the plain looking building. "So? How do you know that?"

Amanda hugged his arm. "Since most funds are electronic now, banks don't need to hold large amounts of cash. The keep operations trim and slim, they keep the real cash, and valuable items in depositories. A few years ago, I hit one just like that one. Easy-peasy, The windows and doors are alarmed, and there is a guard, but he's in a small office with his cameras. Up the outside, into a roof vent and we're in. a cloth over the camera and he'll think the camera went out. Grab up some loot, then up and out. we'll be long gone by the time anyone knows we were even in there."

Ron stared at her. "Right, you're a thief. Thanks for reminding me."

Turning on the charm, Amanda said, "Hey, a little extra pay will be worth it, won't it? It won't affect anyone except the auditors when they discover the money missing. No accounts will be changed, no one will suffer, but we'll get an extra payday. What do you say?"

Ron itched his ear. "Ah, Amanda, if Kaede finds out about this, she's going to go nuts. You know that?"

"How will she find out?" Amanda asked with a sexy grin. "We grab some money tonight, get it back on board and hidden, she'll never know."

"I'm not a thief," Ron stated. "If that money is found on board, then we'll all got to jail and Kaede's reputation will be shot. If she doesn't kill us, We'll be lucky."

"Nothing's going to happen!" Amanda said in an exaggerated huff. "Look, I've done this many times before. Unless we get greedy, they won't even try looking for us!"

"It's too dangerous, I can't betray Kaede like that," Ron stated.

"Ughhh!" Amanda groaned. "I already told you, it's not dangerous!"

"For you maybe!" Ron spat. "I, Kaede, we got reputations to uphold. If her boat's busted for bank robbery, it's impounded and both of us will lose our Captain's certificates! That means I lose my job!"

"You're not going to lose your job," Amanda said with a sigh.

"That's right because I'm not going to be part of a robbery!" Ron stated. He turned and headed back for the boat.

"Fine," Amanda grumbled. She'd done jobs like this before along, it was no big deal.

.

Cameron got a phone call. ""Yes?"

"It's Kaede. I got a call from me first mate that someone's planning a robbery tonight. I have the place she's planning to rob. A depository. Stop her and deliver her to Sea Witch. I will ensure she never tries this again."

"Ron informed you?"

"Yes. I don't care how you stop her. A bullet in the brain is totally acceptable. Just don't kill her permanently. I want to have a talk with her when she comes back around."

"I will care of it, Kaede."

"Thank you, dear."

.

Amanda went back to the boat to assure Ron she wasn't going to try to rob anywhere. He wasn't there, neither was John or Cameron. Searching, she found a boot hook and a tow rope. She emptied her travel bag, then took it. the rope and the boat hook up topside and tucked them into sail canvas to hide them. It had been a while since she had robbed someplace, and she was feeling excited about it. It wouldn't be a big haul, but enough to satisfy her urge, and no one would know about it.

Amanda acted normal when Ron returned, then upon John and Cameron returning, she made dinner for everyone. After dinner, Ron mentioned starting the motor to keep the batteries charged. Cameron offer to go up and do it.

After her quick shower, she noted the curtain on John and Cameron's bunk was closed. Right, newlyweds. They weren't going to be a problem. Ron was laying up his hammock reading. She slipped up topside and grabbed her things. It was only 10PM, but watching to be sure no one saw her approach the depository, she took her time.

Sneaking up to the back of the building, Amanda tied the boat hook to the rope and cocked back to throw. A soft pop sounded and Amanda felt her ribs burn. She's been shot! She turned to see Cameron, holding a gun on her. She gaped at Cameron. Cameron shot her in the chest two more times another shot right in her forehead put Amanda's lights out.

Amanda came around tied up with the rope and lying on the deck in the store room. Behind her was something stiff. The boat hook. She was tied to it hands, arms legs and feet.

"Hello?" she asked.

Cameron came in and stood over her. In a flat tone, she said, "Kaede said to stop you however I wanted to. Thank you for the target practice."

"How did Kaede find out?" Amanda asked in a demand.

"If I were you, I'd be more worried about what Kaede's going to do with you when she gets back," Cameron said, then cast her a tight smile and left. She also turned the lights out.

"Shit!" Amanda spat. Cameron had tied her up good, she couldn't move any joints and laying on the ropes she wiggled but couldn't even turn over to loosen the rope. She struggled for a while then laying limp, she fell asleep.

Amanda woke up to the engine revving up. She heard voices and felt the boat move. She braced herself, knowing Kaede was going to come down to punish her. She had her pleas for mercy and begging ready. She waited and waited. No one came down. All day, she was left tied up here. She was getting hungry and thirsty. Smelling food, she called out, "Hey, can I get something to eat, or at least to drink?"

Kaede finally came in and flicked the light on. "Well well, ya look a might uncomfortable."

"I'M sorry! I'll never try that again, I swear!"

"That's the thing, lass. Ya already swore ta me an Duncan ya'd stop stealin. I'm still ponderin yer punishment. If ya'd a got caught, especially with yer thevin money on my boat, that woulda been very bad news. I can't let that go, Lass."

"I know and I'm really sorry! I'll never do it again I SWEAR!"

Kaede shook her head. "I've learned, ya swear an promise easy, but those are just words ya doan keep. I'll get back to ya after we clear France an git through the straights again."

"That will be days from now!" Amanda complained.

"Ya made yer bed, lie in it," Kaede stated, shut the light off and shut the door.

"Fuck!" Amanda spat. She remembered well when Kaede had buried her on that island. She'd been terrified Kaede would come back to dig her up and she'd spend the rest of her eternal life waking up, suffocating and dying again. Now, she was sure Kaede has something else very unpleasant planned for her. Keel hauling her? Dragging her behind the boat under water? Maybe an anchor tied to her and just throwing her overboard to sink to the bottom?

Very unpleasant and frankly horrid fates ran through Amanda's mind. Would Kaede cast her into the ocean the tell no one she was there? She didn't know, and that really scared her.

.

Kaede and Ron got fuel at Port St Louis du Rhone and headed out to sea.

"How long you going to keep her down there?" Ron asked.

Kaede smirked. "I kin feel'er Amanda's getting scared. She doan know what I'm gonna do ta her, and she becomin terrified I'll tie an anchor to'er and pitch 'er overboard when we git ta deep water."

Ron eyed her. "You wouldn't ... would you?" he asked.

"Nay, but'er thinkin I might is drvin'er nuts. I'll let'er stew til we git out past the straights. Then maybe scare her a bit more."

"You really are not one someone wants mad at them," Ron said.

"Aye, lad. It's a lesson Amanda ain't quite learned yet. But she will. We got a spare anchor on board?"

"Down in the store room where Amanda is."

Kaede grinned. "Kin ya do me a favor lad?"

.

The light turned on. It wasn't Kaede this time, Ron came in looking for something. Amanda quickly asked, where are we?"

"Gulf of Lion, heading for the straights," he said as he searched.

"Can you please tell Kaede I'm really sorry? I'm real thirsty and hungry. Can you get me some water, please?" she begged.

"Kaede told me to pretend you're not even here,"' he said. "You're the only one who didn't get her passport stamped. Ahh, here it is." He pulled an anchor off the shelf. "I''ll ask Kaede if you an have some water."

Amanda paled at seeing the anchor. "What are you going to to with that?"

Ron shrugged. "Kaede wanted it, she didn't say for what. He turned the light out and closed the door.

Amanda burst out in tears, she was going to be thrown over board with an anchor tied to her. She could be on the bottom of the sea for eons!

.

"When I left, she was crying," Ron reported when he got back topside. "If your aim is to scare her, you're doing it."

"Good!" Kaede replied. "Mind the map of ya would, we got Straights traffic comin up."

John and Cameron had gotten the masts back up, Kaene was watching them work and keeping an eye on the so she could tell of someone fell overboard. Captain Mom was proud of her for being vigilant at her job.

Richie came up and sat on the other side of Kaede. "You know, Amanda's crying. I never heard her do that before. Roberta thinks you're being a bit hard on her.

"Roberta's right," Kaede replied. "Amanda was gonna steal, an make us accomplices. I ain't having that. It takes a hard lesson for Amanda to learn she can't be doin that. The last time Amanda brought trouble ta us, I buried her alive fer a day. That took some wind outta her sails, but now she was gonna do it again. She's gotta learn ta behave herself."

"You're not really going to hurt her, are you?" Richie asked cautiously.

"Nay but she doan know that, an it's makin her think," Kaede told him.

Going through the straights, Kaede got everyone topside in the back and told them to say nothing when she brought Amanda up. Once they wee out of the straights and headed north, Kaede went to see Amanda.

Kaede turn on the light and saw Amanda's stricken face. She picked her up with her mind hands

"Please, can I have some water?" Amanda pleaded.

"Ya'll git plenty- o-water real soon here," Kaede promised he floated manda out of the store room and opened the hatch to take her topside. Amanda saw the anchor.

"Noo please noo!" Amanda pleaded while she desperately tried to get free. "You can't do this, you CAN'T!" Twisting her head, Amanda saw Richie. "Richie take my head, please? Richie, hurry, behead me!" she cried in a wail.

Richie only looked down at his feet.

Amanda was turned upright to face the side of the boat and the anchor on the seat. Tears ran down her face as she cried, "NO Kaede, just please NO! Take my head but don't throw me overboard!"

Kaede untied Amanda quickly and spun her to sit on the seat. She laid the boat hook down that sat by Amanda as Amanda stared at her.

Calmly, Kaede told her, "Amanda, If you woulda stole that money and the cops found it in me boat, it woulda caused a bunch-a trouble fer me, Ron, and Roberta specially. Yer stealin causes trouble. Ya didn't steal it, only intended to, so I only intended ta throw ya overboard with that anchor..."

Amanda plowed into her with a hug. "Thank you!" she cried.

Kaede hugged her back and said, "Amanda I really doan wanna hurt ya. Please, I'm beggin ya, doan make me."

Amanda let out a giggle and said, "I won't. It's just hard living a straight life."

"Aye, kin be at times. Still ya gotta behave. Come on, let's go down an git somethin ta drink and have a snack maybe?"

"Yeah, OK, come on," Amanda said, she took Kaede's hand and led her below. relieved she wasn't going to be throw overboard with an anchor tied to her, Amanda went down and had a drink and some snacks with Kaede. And she drank and snacked a lot.
