Of course, instead of a straight trip home, Kaede had to go see Mr. Smith and the Queen again. Again, it was coming in through the back door. At least Duncan and Cameron waited for her at the airport. Picked up from the airport by limousine, She was mildly surprised that Mr. Smith had come for the ride.

Sitting down beside him, she offered, "Hello Mr. Smith."

"Greetings, Dame Kaede," he replied with a nod. Right after the chauffeur got in and the privacy window was up, he added, "It seems to did well in shaking people up. You are aware China was very nervous about you. So nervous they we intercepted a message to their Embassy to play nice with Canada, or else they would be replaced. With your inventive, surprise arrival and actions, Mr. Valentin needed fresh drawers as well. I doubt he will be taking any gifts or cues from China any time soon."

Kaede grinned. "That was the mission, weren't it?"

Mr. Smith returned her grin. "It was, and frankly, a few of us were concerned about the prospective body count, but you kept that down as well to a few explainable heart attacks. Bad show though, with that one member of Parliament in the middle of session. Though I do believe everyone got the point you made. Make no mistake, Dame Kaede, by the gossip, there's enough word circulating about you being around that not very many people didn't know why she had heart failure the moment she did."

"So I ain't their favorite person?" Kaede asked.

"I think they'd sooner meet a robber with a gun in a dark alley," he stated.

Kaede laughed. "The Queen ain't mad, at me, is she?"

Mr. Smith gave a half shrug. "I'm sure she had a few words for you. She wanted to ensure you came to see her the moment you returned. That's all I can really say. I'm not privy to ... shall we say, Royal affairs."

Kaede leaned back and sighed, "So what'er sayin lad is it may be good er bad."

"You'll know when we get there," he offered.

Since the were headed down downing street, Kaede figured they would be there soon.

Surprisingly, they pulled up to Buckingham palace in the front, or course with press nearby. Kaede gaped and said, "I just got off the plane, and it's publicity time?"

"You're fine like you are," Mr. Smith assure her.

OK, so go meet the press in a shirt and pants. The chauffeur opened her door. Kaede got out and waved to the cameras. She also noted Mr. Smith didn't get out. Oh well, if the Queen didn't care if she arrived a little ragged, why should she?

Kaede strode into the palace, The guards on duty saluted her and another opened the door to also give his salute. Inside, the Crown Prince Himself escorted her to the throne room.

"Welcome, Dame Kaede," he offered. "Very well done in your last venture."

"Thank you, Prince. I take it the Queen's not angry wit me?" she asked.

"Quite the opposite, I assure you." he confided.

They strode into the throne room, Kaede staying back a step (as she knew what was expected). They bowed to the Queen.

The Prince announced, "Your Majesty, Dame Kaede Kikumura has arrived as you requested."

"Thank you Prince," the old woman said. "Dame Kaede, Once again you have gone above and beyond expectation as the Governor of Canada to solve the difficulties there. I here by raise your rank in the Royal Victoria order to Lieutenant Knight, And also grant you membership into the Scottish knighthood in most Ancient and Honorable Order of the Thistle. The phrase, 'no one provokes me with impunity', is certainly true for you."

"Indeed," The prince agreed.

The Royal secretary handed Kaede a silken black box with her new medal for her cloth necklace to show her rank, an a wider jewelry type box for her entry into the Order of the Thistle. The Crown Prince opened the bow to show an ornate necklace that was double rowed with green leaves connecting the gold chain and a gold star pendant. He raised it to put it on her. Kaede lifted her hair to assist him. She then received the boxes.

Kaede bowed deeply to the Queen. "Thank you for this honorable recognition, Your Majesty."

"You richly deserve it Dame Kaede Kikumura, Lieutenant Victorian Knight, Order of the Thistle, and Governor of Canada," The Queen said. "I wanted to catch you before you caught your ride home. Have a safe journey home."

"Thank you again, Your Majesty," Kaede said with another bow. She guessed knights only got whacked with a sword once.

.

Kouta was in the hospital in Glen Finnen with the parents of a 15 year old girl who'd just given birth. Through the window into the nursery, he looked at the tiny baby with just light tuft of red hair.

"Karen agreed, she cain't keep the girl, we just wanted ta make sure she gits to a goot home," the woman said apologetically.

"I understand," Kouta replied. "Does she have a name yet?"

"Nay, we thought it best if the one adopting her gives her a name," the man told him.

"Kaede's on her way home, but I know she will agree with our adopting her. Let me give her a call," Kouta said and pulled out his phone.

"Hey Kouta we'll be there in an hour. Ya at the airport?" came Kaede's voice, along with the hum of airplane engines.

"I'm at the hospital..." he didn't get to finish.

"What? Ya hurt again? Wha happened!" Kaede cried.

"No I'm not hurt, sweetie, I'm here because a girl just had a baby," Kouta explained.

There was a pause, then "Doan tell me ya got somethin ta do with that," Kaede said in a heavy tone.

"We do, see, The girl gave her up for adoption, the baby girl is a newborn. She needs parents."

"Aye, I see. This baby got a name?"

"She doesn't. She does need a name and a home," Kouta said. "I was thinking we could give her a home."

"Aye, we kin. Ya stay there, soon as we land, I'll git ta the hospital. Your tell'em there we'll happily adopt Uzuke!"

Kouta grinned. He knew Kaede wanted a second girl to honor her dead sister. "Aye lass, I'll be shoppin fer baby supplies, see ya when ya get here, sweetie."

"Doan fergit besides diapers, wipes an powder, we'll need a new cover fer the changing table and fresh new baby blankets and I'll hav'ta see what clothes Uzuke's gonna need, Kanae's old things may'er may not fit." Kaede said in a run.

"I got it, hon."

"This is sooo great!" Kaede squeaked, "What's she look like?"

Kouta had to chuckled at her. "She's a baby, tiny thing, just'a bit'o red hair showin, cute as a button."

"Thank ya Kouta, be there soon as I kin." *click*

Kouta closed up his phone grinning. Seeing the couple eyeing him, he said, "Kaede's thrilled, she named the baby Uzuke, in honor of her dead sister."

The woman started at Kouta. "Your wife's name is Kaede, like the Witch?"

Kouta nodded. "She is the witch, and she had be desperately wanting another little girl. I know Kanae, our daughter, has been wanting a sister as well."

"Her name is Uzuke?" the man asked, looking at the baby through the window.

Kouta nodded. "As soon as we can get the paperwork done, she will be Uzuke Kikumura. Odd name for a Scot, huh?" he asked with a smirk.

"Do you have a clan?" the man asked.

"I married into the Clan McLeod. Kaede's father is Duncan McLeod," Kouta replied. He then eyed the man and said, "I noticed to some, a clan doesn't matter. To others, it matters very much."

"Yer Clan's yer heritage," the man said firmly.

Kouta nodded. Remembering when they had been on that island off Kamakura and stayed to get rid of those men who had kidnapped him, Mayu, Nana and Yuka, he said, "Back when Duncan and Kaede freed us from those people on that island, I heard Kaede proudly announce, 'I'm Kaede McLeod of the Clan McLeod, and I'll not be controlled by the likes of you'. She then shot the guy with a rocket propelled grenade. Blasted him and his office to smithereens." With a brief chuckle, Kouta added, "That was just a bit of overkill."

"I take it she was standing outside someplace?" the man asked.

Kouta shook his head. "She was in the doorway to his office, looking right at him. Somehow, she shielded herself from the blast. That blast scared the crap out of me." Seeing the couple stare at him, he added, "Those people had grabbed me, my cousin and the kids with us. They planned on sterilizing us, and we found they were holding Kaede's mother captive. Kaede decided she wasn't going to let them live for what they were doing."

"Kaede is true to her clan heritage then?"

"She is," Kouta agreed. "That's how she got to be so involved with the Inn. Rachel, Duncan's cousin, needed help. Kaede went to work there to help Rachel. Now our kids, Nana and Mayu, are there helping out too."

"I heard tons'a good things about Kaede the Witch," the woman said. "I know that baby is gonna have a good life wit ya."

A nurse came to tell Kouta he had to go into the office to fill out paperwork. He excused himself to go get started.

.

Kaede was ready to jump out of the plane to go see this baby girl. She restrained herself, she didn't think Dad would be too happy with her jumping out. She did tell Cameron everything she knew about Uzuke.

Cameron grinned. "This is something you've wanted?" she asked.

"I'tis! Being immortal, I can't have nay more kids, so this adoption is real important ta me," Kaede agreed. "I doan know how Kouta happened ta be there at the right time, but he was an I gotta git ta the hospital ta do the paperwork an see'er."

In front in the co-pilot seat, Amanda called back, "Kaede, contain yerself! Runway's right up ahead. We'll be on the ground shortly."

Beaming a smile, Kaede said, "I know it ain't like givin birth meself, but We're getting our other daughter!"

Piloting, Duncan grinned and said, "We're lining up to land, you'll see'er soon, Kaede."

For some reason, they didn't use as much runway landing. Duncan got to use the first taxi lane instead of the second. Taxiing up to the terminal, he said, "Kaede, when ya git out, go round back of the plane, I still gotta park."

"Aye!" Kaede agreed and got out. Cameron got out with her.

Amanda watched them get out and close the door. "Bit excited, is she?"

Duncan made sure they were clear, then taxied on to the parking spaces. "Aye. Ever since Uzuke died, Kaede's sworn to have a baby girl to honor her. It's something very important to her."

Inari met them in front of the building with the Land Rover and Kanae.

"Mommy!" Kanae cried and ran to jump up in Kaede's arms. "Welcome home Mommy!"

"Tis good ta be home sweetie," Kaede replied, hugging her child. "An guess what? Yer Dad's at the hospital wit yer new sister. Wanna go see'er?"

"Aye!" Kanae cheered. She then frowned. "But, how kin Daddy have a baby?"

Kaede laughed. "He didn't, we are adopting Uzuke."

"We'll wait for Duncan and Amanda," Inari said, "They will only be a few moments."

It was a few moments of anxiousness for Kaede. Although it seemed forever, soon, they were all piled in and headed for the hospital.

.

Kouta had all the paperwork done except for Kaede's signature beside his. The social worker at the hospital had already called the judge, and hearing this baby was going to be adopted by Dame Kaede Kikumura and her husband, it was only a formality for him to see the adoption papers to put his final signature on them. The hospital listed Kouta and Kaede as the parents, as well as the baby's name as Uzuke Kikumura on her birth certificate.

The only thing the Social Worker did that Kouta didn't care for was to insist they not see the girl who'd given birth to the baby, and the girl would also never get to see her child or know who adopted her. The girl's parents also were coaxed not to say who adopted the baby. Supposedly, this was to prevent problems later on.

By the time Kouta was finished with the paperwork, Kaede arrived with Kanae, Duncan and Inari. Amanda and Cameron were on their way back to the castle.

Kaede signed where she was shown, beside Kouta's signatures. With that done, the Social Workers was going to take them to the judge to get them finalized. Kouta and Kaede went to go see their new baby with Kanae skipping along with them. Coming to the nursery, they saw a strawberry blonde girl in a hospital gown and robe staring through the glass of the nursery. She looked sad.

Kouta whispered, "Hon, she's looking at Uzuke. I think that's the girl who gave her up."

Kaede nodded.

Coming to the partial glass wall, Kanae lifted herself up to look in. "Mom, Dad, there's many babies in there!" she announced.

The girl looking in turned to see Kanae holding herself up with what looked like only her hands on the window sill.

"Kanae, this is the nursery, this is where they keep the new babies," Kaede told her with a smirk.

The girl watched them approach and asked, "You the Witch?"

Kaede offered her a gentle smile. "I am Dame Kaede, and you are?"

"Karen McClintock. Can I ask you a favor, please?" the girl replied meekly.

"Ask," Kaede said as they came up to her.

The girl pointed at the baby with the red fuzz on her head in front of her. "That's the baby I just had, but I can't keep her. I'm in school and both my parents work," she let out a sniffle. "I just can't keep her. Can you please make sure she will be fine? If you want me to do something, I'll do it. We don't have much money, but, well I'll do what you want if you just make sure she'll be OK."

Kaede saw the sadness in the girl's eyes. She put an arm around her. "I'll tell ya this lass. Long as I'm around, ain't no one gonna harm that baby. I swear to ya. I will ensure she's treated well."

"Thank you," Karen said meekly. She cast Kaede a weak smile. "If i'twere possible, I'd like ya to be her mum. I want her ta have the best."

Kaede nodded slowly. "That's yer wish?" she asked.

"Aye, i'tis."

Kaede then took on a even tone and said, "Then I, Kaede Kikumura shall be mother to this child. Her name shall be Uzuke Kikumura."

Karen gaped at Kaede. "You can do that?"

"It'd done," Kaede said firmly.

Karen smiled.

A nurse came into begin her rounds of changing diapers and checking the children. Coming in with a name card, she put 'Uzuke Kikumura' on the plastic bassinet Karen's baby was in.

Kanae lifted up and smiled at Karen, "Wow! Ya gave me a little sister?" she asked wide eyed.

Karen returned her smile. "Aye, I did."

"Thank you!" Kanae beamed. "I always wanted a little sister!"

Karen let out a weak chuckle. "Be sure to be a good big sister to her, OK?"

"I will!" Kanae said firmly.

Somehow, Karen felt a little better now about giving up her baby. Instead of an uncertain future, she knew her child was going to be well cared for. Little Uzuke would not be forced to do nasty and embarrassing things just to be able to live. Later on, her parents told her that she could never know who adopted her baby and warned her not to try to find out. She just agreed. She knew whoever it was, had gotten replaced by the Witch.

The more she thought about it, the more she wished the Witch would adopt her too.

Uzuke was declared healthy by the doctors, and Kaede took her home bundled up in pink blankets. On the way home, Kaede could not stop the bright smile on her face. After all these years, Uzuke would live again.

.

Everyone wanted to see little Uzuke. Getting home, Kaede cradled baby Uzuke in her arms with Kanae nearby, eager to do something to help her mom. When Uzuke cried, Everything was ready to change the baby before Kaede even got up. Once she was fed and changed, Kaede put her in her new bassinet. Instead of playing up on her beam, Kanae stayed nearby at times just looking at Uzuke.

A week after Kaede came home with her new baby, word had gotten out down to the Inn, and Rachel wanted to see her. Duncan decided it was a good time for everyone to go down and have a family dinner at the Inn with everyone. The only person missing was Roberta. Everyone looked at Richie.

"Roberta had to work late down in town,, she didn't say why," Richie offered.

"She knows we're here, right?" Duncan asked.

Richie explained, "She does, but she got a call about a raid someplace earlier today. She wouldn't say where, but told me it might take a while."

"A raid, here in Glen Finnen?" John asked. "That's hard to imagine."

"It is," Cameron agreed. " Except for a few old folks, I have yet to encounter anyone who's even bad tempered."

That got her a few chuckles.

"It is hard to imagine," Inari agreed. "Wonder what it was about?"

"If it's anything important, I'm sure it will be on the news," Duncan told them.

Rachel came over to fawn at Baby Uzuke. "Such a cute lass!" she gushed. She then frowned at Kaede. "What took ya so long ta fess up ya had anoter wee one?"

"Uzuke was easier," Kaede said with a grin. "Just had ta git ta the hospital an pick'er up."

"We adopted her," Kouta explained.

"That's good of ya," Rachel assured her. She then poked Kanae on the shoulder. "An doan ya be gittin jealous of'er."

Kanae gaped at Rachel. "Uzuke's me sister, why would I do that? I'm the big sister now, I gotta watch out fer Uzuke!"

Rachel chuckled. "Just be sure ya do," she said with a wink. She then scanned the group. "So, is this it? Ya all here?"

"Maybe one more, if Roberta shows up," Kouta told her.

"Aye, Cathy will have yer drinks shortly. I'll git cookin." Rachel said.

"I kin help!" Nana offered.

Rachel pointed a finger at her. "Nay lass, yer off tanight, sit an enjoy yerself wit yer family."

Cathy had no more than served their drinks when Roberta came in. Even as they called her over with waves, Kaede noticed she wasn't alone. A disheveled girl was with her watching the floor. Kaede recognized her. She waved her arm to motion them over. "Roberta, Karen, Come sit!"

Karen looked up. Relief washed over her face.

In a shuffle, room for Roberta and Karen was made and a couple more chairs dragged to their joined tables. Roberta got a seat by Richie, Karen was guided to a seat on the other side of Kaede from Kouta.

Looking at Karen, Kaede said, "Ya doan look well, lass. Tough day?"

"Very," Karen said just above a whisper.

Roberta firmly said, "Kaede, Kouta, Karen here has been taken out of her home for cause. She strongly insisted she wanted to come see you before she's taken to an orphanage."

All surprised faces turned to Roberta.

Kaede flatly replied, "Over my dead body will this girl be taken to an orphanage!"

"That is the procedure..." Roberta began and got cut off.

"I said she's nay goin to an orphanage!" Kaede stated in a near shout. "Ya doan wanna press me on this, lass." Kaede then turned to look at Duncan, then Kouta. "We got room for one more, doan we?"

Kouta nodded. "We do, seems only right."

Inari and Kaede looked at Duncan. He shrugged, "Fine by me."

Nana was eyeing Karen. "What happened to ya?" she asked.

Karen winced and lowered her head.

"Ya doan gotta tell," Kaede told her. To Nana she said, "Nana hon, leave'er be about it."

Roberta tried again, "Kaede, the Judge ordered..."

In a hard tone, Kaede interrupted with, "I doan care who ordered what! I'll nay see Karen here put in an orphanage! She's goin home wit us, and that's final! You tell that Judge we're adoptin'er. if I gotta, I'll come explain it meself, an if he doan like it he'll NAY be happy!"

"We'll go see him in the morning," Richie said quickly. "Kouta?"

"Yes, trip to the courthouse tomorrow," Kouta agreed. "At least me, Kaede and Karen here."

Mayu tapped Roberta on the arm and said, "I doan think ya wanna push mom on this. May be bad fer yer health."

Duncan cleared his throat and said, "Roberta, I think you better call whoever in the morning and let them know Kouta and Kaede's adopting Karen."

Roberta felt a chill go up her spine at the hard glare Kaede eyed her with. "I'll go let the orphanage know she won't be coming," she offered and went outside to make the call.

First, Roberta called the orphanage to let them know Karen wasn't coming, Dame Kaede was taking her in. She then called the social worker who was taking care of Karen's case and let her know. The caseworker agreed that being in a home was better than going to an orphanage. In a couple phone calls, she got the situation under control.

Going back inside, Roberta told them, "I talked to Karen's caseworker. Since there hasn't been a trial yet to formally remove Karen from her house, she can't be adopted, but it's being recorded that Karen is under Kouta and Kaede's care. You will be her guardians."

"So she ain't gotta suffer through bein in an orphanage?" Kaede asked.

"No, but tomorrow you do have to go see the caseworker," Roberta said. "I'll take you down if you want."

"That good fer you?" Kaede asked Karen.

"Yes, thank you," Karen said with a sigh.

Nana stood up and called, "Rachel! We're gonna need two more dinners!"

Kouta noted that as they had dinner, Karen was becoming more relaxed. He also had a question. "Roberta, did Karen bring any clothes or anything with her?"

Roberta shook her head. "Couldn't. Her house is considered a crime scene. Nothing can be removed until we finish our investigation."

"Not even her clothes?" Kaede asked.

Roberta shook her head.

"Nana has some extra clothes maybe she can wear," Nana offered.

"We'll look when we git home," Mayu added.

"Doan worry, we'll find or make somethin for ya," Inari assured Karen.

.

Although Kaede was very curious why Karen was jerked out of her home, she decided to let Karen tell her if she wanted. Getting home, she paid close attention to Karen. Yes, Karen was impressed with the castle, but what she mostly acted like was relieved. Getting a bedroom next to Nana and Mayu's rooms, Mayu and Nana hauled Karen to their rooms to search through clothes and get things for Karen to wear. Rummaging through closets, they discovered Nana's old clothes fit Karen the best. Karen was more 'full bodied' like Nana was in the hip and chest areas. Nana's shirts were a bit loose, but still fit fairly well.

As they looked through clothes and had Karen try things on, Karen meekly said, "Ya got a nice place here. Ya doan gotta ... do work at home, do ya?"

"Everyone has chores," Mayu said. "Mostly, when nay werkin at the Inn, we're werkin on our house."

Nana brightly added, "We got Joan and Cameron's house finished, and we got the walls up an the roof on wit ours. Still tons ta do fore we kin move in."

"Right now the floors'er bare wood, and we ain't even got windows, just shutters on the outsides," Mayu agreed.

"Ya doan do other things, fer guests?" Karen asked.

Mayu frowned. Nana chuckled, "We git guests now an then, Some have to come ta keep'em safe. Now and then Kassandra er some French Elves come by. Sides cookin fer'em an showin then round if they ain't been her afore, s'bout it. What else would they need?"

Mayu noted something in Karen's face. A familiar looking pain in her eyes. "Hey, Nana, kin ya go check on Jeff, see what he's doin?"

Nana eyed Mayu. "Jeff's down helping Grampa..."

"Just go check, OK?" Nana asked firmly.

Nana frowned at her. "K, but why ya worried bout Jeff?"

"Nana, please?" Mayu begged.

Nana turned to Karen. "Keep lookin all ya want, Nana'll only be a bit." She then left.

Right after Nana walked out, Mayu looked at Karen, who cast her a worried gaze. "Ya had men doin things to ya, didn't ya?"

Karen swallowed and looked down. "I was told nay talk about it, ever."

"That's cause they doan wanna git caught," Mayu stated heavily. "Ya let Mom know what they did to ya, She'll make sure they doan do it nay more."

"She would kill'em?"

"Aye. The ones who kidnapped me an had their way wit me repeatedly, she splattered all over the inside of those ruins out on the tidal bay. They had their perverted fun wit me, then she came an ripped'em apart," Mayu said firmly. "Ya tell mom who did that to ya. They'll nay ever be doing it again."

Karen's eyes grew wide. she dropped her head to stare at the floor. "I should git ta bed now," she said weakly.

"Karen, ya doan wanna let'em git away wit it, do ya?" Mayu asked.

"But ... they paid Mom."

"WHAT?" Mayu cried, staring at Karen in disbelief.

Karen cringed back from her. She quickly walked out and into her own room. Mayu followed. Karen no more than shut the door when Mayu thrust it back open.

"Karen, they paid yer Mom ta let'em have their way wit ya?" Mayu blasted out.

Backing away from Mayu, Karen pleaded, "That's what we do, how Mom makes money so we kin live! It's embarrassing an, I doan like it, but that's all I kin do ta help!"

"Nay more!" Mayu yelled. "If ya doan like it, doan do it!" Not as loud, she added, "Mom'll make sure ya aint gotta do that nay more! That's why ya had yer baby, ain't it? Some guy paid ta have ya and ya ended up with a baby!"

Karen burst into tears. Choking in a sob, she cried, "That's why my parents agreed to put'er up fer adoption."

Mayu went over and hugged her. "Nay more'a that. Promise me!"

"Nay more," Karen agreed in a sob.

Running feet came up the hallway. Nana and Jeff appeared. "What's goin on?" Jeff asked.

Mayu explained what Karen had to do then added, "An doan tell Mom, she just might go Kill'em."

But standing down the hall a short ways, Kaede did hear all about it.

.

In the morning, Kouta and Kaede went down to the caseworker's office, who happened to be in the orphanage on the other end of down.

"Didn even know this was here," Kaede noted.

"Neither did I," Kouta agreed. It was in a large normal looking house. The only think that looked different was the walled yard in the back. Kouta parked in the driveway that did look larger than most. They went on and the entryway was a woman at a desk.

"Can I help you?" the woman asked.

Kouta bowed and said, "We came to claim responsibility for Karen McClintock. We were told to meet her caseworker this morning."

The woman picked up her phone. She paused and asked, "Who are you?"

"Kouta and Dame Kaede Kikumura."

The woman dialed. "Yes, Mrs. McGullis, The Kikumura's are here to see you about a Karen McClintock ... Yes, I'll send them right in." To Kouta she said, "Go in the left side door and down the hall, third door on the left."

They went in and found Mrs. McGuillis' office. The red head motioned them in. On their side of the desk were papers already laid out. Kouta held Kaede's chair, then sat himself down.

"Good morning Kouta and Dame Kaede, it's good you are doing this for Karen. These are papers that show you are Karen's foster parents. What this means is you have full temporary custody of Karen. You will be compensated each month until she is 18, or unless the court orders her to be returned to her natural parents."

Kaede cast the woman a hard look "Her parents were pimpin her out, She'll nay be returned to them." she stated.

Mrs. McGuillis paused. "From what I hear, most likely she won't ever be returning to them, but the court is still in session about that."

"She'll nay be returning to them," Kaede stated.

"Hon, easy," Kouta said quietly.

"Ain't no easy bout it. The court will keep them separated, or I will. That girl ain't gonna continue to be a whore." Kaede told him.

Mrs. McGuillis offered, "I know yer concerned. Please sign on the lines at the bottom of each page. There's two copies of each, sign both copies, we keep one, ya keep the other."

Kouta and Kaede looked over each page, then signed them. While they did, Mrs. McGuillis told them," If her parents give you any trouble, please contact the police immediately."

Kaede smirked at her. If those people gave her any trouble, they'd never be seen again. "I'll call'em if I need'em," she replied.
