Fever:

"Because…we…were…..weren't…your…weren't …your targets…." Jackie replied. His eyes widening when he realized what she meant by that as he turned around, but it was too late. He dropped the girls hoping to block the lightning strike that Gunther and Kick were coming at him with, however he couldn't. Gunther used his strength, able to send him flying back, Kick used his speed to catch up then sent him into the air, before sending him back down, both having a final knock-out blow with their lightning again as they sent him through some trees and dirt. "They were…" Jackie was able to smile as was Kendall as both tried to stand.

(**)

The girls got up, the pain very much there as they tried to find their breath, both feeling their necks, knowing that was a very close call indeed. Both girls looked at each other as they slowly and limply made their way over to the boys, their bodies feeling different types of pain from the attacks they took. The boys also felt excruciating pain all throughout their body, especially on their sides and abdominal areas, however they were more worried about the girls, than their own injuries. Brianna and Mouth came through the trees seeing Tristano on the ground. Mouth quickly running over to his knocked out form and putting some type of cuffs on him.

"You all okay?" Brianna was just as concerned as she came jogging over. The boys nodding, though she could tell that was a straight up lie from how they looked plus their thoughts.

"We're okay…" Kendall glanced at Jackie who also nodded, before looking back at them. "Are you guys sure you're alright?" The girls seeming to be more concerned about the boys, as she looked them up and down, not liking the fact they were bleeding so much. Seeing the wounds and knowing Tristano's ability had something to do with poison wasn't sitting well with either of the girls.

"Trust us Kends, we're fine." Kick assured.

"Besides we weren't the ones kidnapped here." Gunther commented. "We're more worried about you girls." He hugged Jackie gently, not wanting to injure her, plus was in immense pain. Jackie glanced up.

"Yeah but still…" Jackie tried to counter. "Your wounds…" She wanted to say more, as she was worried the fact Gunther's injuries were open still and he was having a hard time like Kick, as she let go. She stepped away, going back to being next to Kendall. Both having concerned expressions the fact Jackie saw she had more blood on her shirt now.

"I think it's best to get you girls checked." Kick breathed out, the pain and poison getting to him more. Brianna looked at him.

"I think it's also best to get them out of here." Mouth spoke up, gathering all of their attentions. "The SN forces and my father will be here soon and I doubt we want to explain them to those guys." He remarked, looking at the girls slightly. "It's one thing with my father, however…" He glanced at Kick and Gunther.

"True." Gunther nodded.

"SN forces?" Kendall questioned. Jackie and her giving each other some curious looks, unsure of what to think, but were still worried about the boys and how they were acting.

"Call it Vampire police in a way, to help take care of these guys, being that the human police kinda can't." Kick glared at Tristano, noticing the cousins being levitated, to which he knew why.

"We'll take care of the forces and explain things." Scarlet spoke, as she and Teena came jogging up.

"You guys get them out, get them safe, checked, healed, and everything." Teena told them. Mouth helped grabbing one of the cousins, being quick and taking them back towards where the factory hide out was. Teena helping, since Scarlet was using her ability to make it easier to get the guys out of there.

"We're glad you girls are okay." Scarlet commented, before she headed the opposite direction.

"We're just worried about all of you guys." Kendall stated.

"Yeah." Jackie agreed.

"Kick and Gunther have been through way worst." Brianna replied.

"Stunts don't count." Kendall retorted, knowing this was way different.

"I'm fine Kends, trust me." Kick said. "We just need to get you girls checked and healed."

"Right, cause we got poisoned." She responded, she didn't like that he was ignoring his wounds.

"No, but you almost died. Both of you did." Kick countered.

"This was really dangerous for both of you." Gunther added. Jackie just glanced away, while Kendall gave them both a look.

"And just like Kick, I have had my own experiences of dealing with worst." Kendall reminded. Brianna was shocked she responded in that way. Kick swallowed, Gunther looking at him, as he also wasn't expecting that.

"That doesn't mean we wanted…I wanted to be the cause of it." Kick reasoned. "I'm trying to keep you safe and protect you, not put you in more danger."

"Who says you're at fault?" Kendall questioned. "No one's blaming you here, neither of you." She looked at the boys.

"Seriously, he's a complete asshole, creep, and a huge whack job that needs to get over his girl issues." Jackie commented. "Neither of you did anything."

"If anything….it's us….we should have been more careful…" She glanced at Jackie, her voice going quiet, both knowing why.

Kick and Gunther looked at each other. 'They cannot be serious?' Kick thought, sharing it with Gunther, who was also just as astonished as Kick and Brianna. 'You guys have to remember you haven't told them everything.' Brianna reminded them, as Kick shared her thoughts between him and Gunther. 'They don't know anything about the Marcello brothers, or anything.' She continued. 'They're just going based off your reputations…which if you want to tell them…' She gave them a look. 'Enough Brianna, we get it.' Kick and Gunther thought simultaneously, as they gave her a glare.

"This isn't your guys fault…" Kick and Gunther looked at each other, his voice softer now.

"I hate to interrupt, but you guys might want to get going." Mouth came back after getting all the cousins and Tristano back towards the hideout with the rest of his army.

"I'm with them, the girls need to get checked and healed, as do you guys." Scarlet mentioned, as she came back as well. The girls glancing at the boys, knowing that was true, and it confirming that the boys' wounds were serious, if Scarlet was saying something. Kick and Gunther let out some breaths nodding. "The car's nearby, through that path of trees. Close enough for all of you." Brianna nodded her thanks.

"Come on, let's go." She wanted to help the girls, Mouth coming to help as well, as he saw the boys needed it too.

"Jackie." Scarlet called, gathering her and all of their attentions. "You are okay, right?" She questioned. Gunther not liking the way she asked that to which Kick tried to help and relieve his stress, with his ability. She nodded, which everyone was relieved with that. "I'm glad. I was just worried, is all…"

"No, I'm….I'm okay, I was just thankful you and Teena came when you did for Kends and me." Jackie spoke. Scarlet nodded.

"All of you go get healed, we got this." She smiled. 'And trust me, those two were handled.' Scarlet thought, so the boys and Brianna knew. The boys nodding to that as they continued their way to the car.

(*)

The group made it quickly to Kick's place, as Brianna helped the girls into the living room. Kendall was sitting in the loveseat, while Jackie was on the couch. Both now feeling the impact of all the wounds they had after the car ride. Their bodies were in pain, sore, and exhausted. They were happy the shackles were off thanks to the boys, but now they were feeling the pain those left as well.

Jackie was finding it harder to breathe at some points, and she figured she either bruised or fractured some ribs again, plus the pain in her neck might be helping given she was choked. Her thigh and leg were in excruciating pain from Tristano's goon, to the point she was surprised she made it in. She could barely walk on it, not to mention her wrists. Her abdominal was sore and she didn't even want to touch the subject of her back or arms. Kendall, felt similarly. She was lucky she could breathe just fine, though her neck seriously hurt. Not to mention her wrists and arm from where Tristano grabbed her, were very purple and in a lot pain. She at least was thankful her pain tolerance was pretty high, although, Tristano and his goon pretty much pushed her to her limit, as her body was suffering at the moment from everything. However, her mind could only focus on the others. Even more, feeling guilty for the fact had they not gone to that library, they wouldn't be in this situation. Jackie feeling the same.

Kick and Gunther were slow in making their way in, as the poison was finally making it difficult to focus, move their bodies without feeling pain, while also having a type of numbing effect that wasn't pleasant for them. They were finding it hard to breathe and their bodies weren't healing correctly. Plus their body temperatures were starting to rise on top of everything, but they were trying to ignore that fact with everything else going on. All the injuries and now they couldn't control their body temps, this poison was really taking its toll on them. Both realizing they haven't been in fight like this in a long time, even with going to the gym and doing Kick's stunts that sure as hell didn't prepare them for this. None of it was sitting well with them now. Brianna was worried as she could tell they were not doing well, however she didn't want to show too much concern knowing she needed to focus on the girls as well. Plus, she didn't want the girls getting more worried about the boys than they already were.

"Mom!" Brianna called, hoping to get her or even Helga's attentions, as the two liked to be together and do things. Kyle came jogging through the dining room doors, his concern already rising when he saw the scene, as he took off his wizard hat and cloak, quickly throwing it to the ground in the corner.

"What happened?" He questioned.

"Kyle where's our mothers?" Brianna inquired, as he kneeled down looking at Jackie, then went over to Kendall. "We need them now."

"Is everything ok…oh my…" His mom came into the living room. "Good heavens, what happened?"

"Aunt Sally we need our moms." Brianna repeated herself.

"I'm sorry dear they left a few hours ago to go to that business thing in London. They're probably on the plane by now and can't talk." She responded. Brianna forgetting about that important London trip, and hating they were gone at this crucial time now, seeing as they needed them. "Kyle quickly go get their medicines and herbs." She told her son. He nodded, doing as she said.

"Can you help all of them?" Brianna asked, hoping her aunt could be as helpful.

"I'm no healer like your mother or Helga," She walked over to the girls. "But I can try." She started to look over the girls. "As for your brother and Gunther…." She started to think.

"We'll be fine." Kick tried to assure, which everyone knew that was a lie. Both of the boys seeming to get a bit worse, as their temps were rising more, and their pain causing more discomfort. Sally looked at Brianna.

"Call Gunther's two cousins, who live across town." She instructed. "They might be in a similar boat as me, but anything can help at this moment when it comes to having some healing abilities." She spoke. Brianna nodded grabbing her phone to do what her aunt said. Kyle came back with the stuff, as Sally combed through it, trying to find the right stuff to use on the girls. As she did that, there was a knock at the door that Kyle went to get, two females coming inside.

"Astrid, Karina, thanks for coming so quickly." Brianna looked over at them. They walked over quickly. "It's really great."

"Of course, anything to try and help." One replied, she was young, her hair a dark blonde, with some platinum and aqua streaks in it. She was slender and tall, while the other, though also tall, was a bit curvier. She had dark hair, and looked older.

"Have them help the boys Brianna." Sally instructed.

"We don't…" Gunther was about to protest. Sally and Brianna looking at them, as to not say anymore. Astrid and Karina brought them to the dining room table, hoping to help, as they looked over their wounds, and grabbed some wet towels hoping to help with the fevers as they worked.

"Got it." Brianna nodded. "Do you want them to help you, when their done?"

"They'll have their hands full over there." She responded. "Besides I still need to think what I need to do over here." She glanced at three. "If anything, I'll go over there to help them." She spoke. "Just do what you girls can." She told Astrid and Karina.

"Will do." The young one answered.

"You can count on Astrid and me." Karina assured. "Although, we won't be as a good as Cousin Helga or Honey, but we'll give it our all." Brianna and Sally nodded to that.

"Kyle just help out as best you can, okay, get us what we need when we call for it." His mom stated.

"Okay mom." Kyle agreed, wanting to help and make sure everyone was ok, especially the girls, as he could tell they seemed to be in a lot of discomfort and pain.

Sally went to Kendall first with the medicines and herbs, knowing that was the only way her limited healing abilities were going to work on her. However, as she recalled, it was the only way Honey's and Helga's worked as well. Although, they were exceptional healers and could do a much better job at healing than she could. She let out a breath, lifting up Kendall's shirt gently.

"I'm going to try and be as gentle as possible." She told her as she checked to see where she needed the most healing, wanting to work from there, than going over the areas. Kendall just nodded, trying to breathe and steady herself. As Sally worked, she was able to see that Kendall would need some bandages and ice, given she would be sore and have major bruising, but for her other wounds, she was able to handle that with the creams she placed on her, that it for the most part. It was still rough to say the least. Kendall was wincing every now and then.

"What…what kind of medicines are these?" Kendall was able to let out, as Sally finished with her, having Kyle go get some ice and bandages for her.

"They're special kinds that we use." Sally replied. "Or more precisely, is used by those who have poor healing attributes themselves, doesn't have a healer in their family, and so on." She added. "It's more…potent than any human herb or medicine, and very unique as it heals practically anything, like a healer can. However, when used with a healer, especially a good one, you're in better hands as it makes this stuff more…beneficial and work faster on the body." She continued to explain. "And we're the only ones that know how to make or harvest them." She said. "But I'm sure they can be quite…..discomforting….on you girls." Sally assumed, as she went over to Jackie, doing the same thing she did to Kendall, gently lifting her shirt, and checking where the worst of her injuries were. She gulped as she examined her ribs, abdomen, and leg, as she didn't expect it to be as bad as it was. The bruising just as extensive on her neck and all over.

Sally started to place some herbs in some gel-like liquid, while also placing some powder in a cream, stirring both quickly. She placed the cream on her abdomen and rib area which made Jackie suck in breath, as she recalled that burning, stinging, painful sensation from last time. Gunther glanced over when he heard that. Both boys knowing the girls were in a lot of pain. "Sorry dear, should have warned you." Sally spoke quietly, as she was trying to be gentle. "This will certainly be different from last time, I'm sure." She started to spread the cream around, going up to her neck. "As I'm no Helga, I'm afraid." She mentioned. "But I'll do my best here." She had a soft smile. "Although I won't lie, it will be difficult…" She stopped using the cream and began to use the gel she made, placing it on her leg. The burning and pain caused from it, made Jackie let out a pained cry, as she tried to keep it contained by biting her lip, her hands gripping the cushion and armrest.

"Jackie…" Gunther sat up a bit more, wanting to help her, but Astrid kept him back.

"Gunther." She stared at him. "I know you want to help her, but you're in serious need of help yourself." She told him. "I need you to sit back, so that I can try and heal you a bit here." He looked at her briefly before glancing back at Jackie with concern. Both boys not liking that they couldn't do anything.

"Are they going to be okay?" Brianna asked, as she was worried, knowing the boys couldn't do anything in their state, but also wanted to know how the girls were. She hoped asking, might settle the boys a bit as well.

"I'm personally surprised you got them here." Sally replied, as she continued to work on Jackie, who was breathing a bit hard, trying to focus on anything else, but the gel Sally was using on her with her abilities. No warmth coming afterwards like there was the last time she was healed. She was trying hard to focus on anything else but the pain. "The girls were pretty bad," She continued, "This one especially." She swallowed as she placed more gel, then some cream, the mix causing Jackie to let out another silent scream as she wasn't expecting that sensation. Brianna gave her a sympathetic look, while Gunther was trying to just stay still. "Although, both I'm surprised were breathing and able to walk." She commented.

"That bad?" Brianna swallowed as she looked at both of the girls, wondering why they said they were fine and were trying to worry about the boys more.

"You see I'm just trying to mend the broken femur bone of this one, and I do mean broken." Sally responded. "In multiple areas." She mentioned. "And I won't even go into the bruised ribs for both of them and everything else." Sally explained. "That's probably why it hurts so much, not to mention the fact I really am nothing like Helga or Honey, who would be way better at this." Brianna gave her a small smile to show she's doing okay, and to keep going.

"Let's just say that Tristano's goons were a bit….difficult…plus we fell a few times before we found you guys." Kendall came into the conversation. Brianna glanced over, letting out a breath.

"Yeah, well I think we have all had enough excitement." Brianna replied. "And it's best you girls get a lot of rest for the rest of this weekend."

"Luckily this stuff will make it so you will only have bruising, but you guys will be really sore…" Kyle added, as he was ready with bandages and ice for Jackie when his mom was going to be done.

"Let's just hope we can get our moms to come home early to take care of the boys." Brianna looked over at the boys. Gunther still not liking hearing that Jackie was letting out a few gasps and squeaks. But when Sally finished, Kyle was ready to bandage her up and give her a lot of ice for the soreness she felt. Sally went over to Astrid and Karina to go help. Brianna letting out another relieved breath as she went to grab some pillows and blankets for the girls so they could get comfortable and rest, being that Jackie especially needed it, before going to kitchen to check on her brother and Gunther, whose temps were rising slightly.
