While a young Hiccup is stuck working the counter at the forge, he observes people and events through the window. One day, he witnesses something suspicious and horrifying, and becomes consumed with figuring out the truth of what really happened.

It has been six months since the end of the Blight and now it is up to the new Warden Commander to rebuild the order within Midgard. However, the Darkspawn don't seem to be returning into the Deep Roads instead fighting each other and the innocent people of Midgard caught in the middle. It is now up to the new Commander of the Grey to re-establish order.

A few months after Hiccup woke up from his coma, Berk was preparing for their first Snoggletog in peace with dragons. But the dragons randomly leave, and Kala's secret is in danger. What will happen? A How to Train Your Dragon 3 rewrite fic, dealing with some of the more troubling narratives the author thinks they could have gone down instead in the third movie. After a troublesome dream of draconic overcrowding, murderous warlords, and an exodus from Berk, Hiccup and Toothless find themselves and their peoples faced with just that—only it goes a little differently.

Berk has been host to many people and dragons from many regions, but Grimmel and his large armada of dragon hunters were the worst guests by far. However, even the darkest night must eventually yield to the new dawn.

Berk is taking its reputation for cold winters to an absurd new low. Fortunately there is hope in the form of an unexpected hero.

A pair of Night Furies hatch under mysterious circumstances into a big, wild world, unknowingly embarking on a perilous and fateful path fraught with malicious and greedy humans. Changing the world was never going to be easy, but that's what it means to become a hero the hard way.
