Mama's Hair is still Prettier than Papa's - Part Two

Kushina, a red-haired mother, finally opened the door to her house. Glad that she was able to buy the ingredient she forgot last time she went shopping. She took off her shoes, and opened the door to the living room, she let out an amused sigh when she noticed the toys and papers being scattered around. She decided to forget about it for now, as preparing breakfast is more important right now. She entered the kitchen and started cooking the ham and eggs that she just bought. In her room, she wasn't aware yet that her husband finally woke up.

Minato woke up from the loud ringing from his alarm clock, stretching his arms to turn it off. His eyes blink repeatedly as he wondered why there's a tiny foot on his face. He used his other hand to grab the foot and slowly sat up on the bed. His eyes looked around the room, and to the tiny warm body on top of him. Smiling amused at his son, he grabbed him and carried him in his arms. His brows furrowed in confusion though, when he felt something was amiss. A yawn had escaped from his mouth, causing him to forget what was in his mind just now. Leaving the room, he placed his hand on his sons' head and patted his head. As he entered the living room, he yawned again and went straight to the dining area.

"Good Morning"

He heard his wife greet him, which he greeted her back.

"How was your work yesterday?"

Minato grabbed the newspaper by the table and opened it. "It was okay, I had a bit of trouble with the elders, but that's what they do."

Kushina chuckled and agreed, plating the ham and egg onto a plate, and brought them to the dining room. As soon as her eyes landed on her husband, her eyes widened as she giggled at the sight. "Looks like Naruto got bored, when I left him for a bit"

"Hhmm? You went somewhere?"

Kushina sat in front of him and nodded. "Yup. I forgot to buy food for breakfast yesterday."

"Is that so?" Minato commented, grabbed his fork from the table, and started eating.

Kushina raised a brow, wondering if her husband would ever notice. She decided to stand up, "Let me take Naruto"

"It's alright. I can manage. A day will come when he'll refuse to sit on Papa's lap."

"What's with that?" she chuckled, as she went back to her seat and started to eat."

It wasn't long though when Naruto woke up, turning his head to the table with eyes wide. "Looks like my little sunshine is awake" Kushina chuckled, watching her husband feed the hungry child in which Minato obliged. Spoon-feeding him, as Naruto pointed out what to eat.

Minato's student will make an appearance next time!
