Kakashi as a Babysitter

Hatake Kakashi was currently on a mission, babysitting a three-year-old Naruto. It was around noon that time when he arrived from his own mission. Entering the Hokage office, only to see Kushina with Obito and Rin beside her. He was then dragged to the front by the Red-haired woman, as she placed both her hands on his shoulder.

"Then, Kakashi will be babysitting Naruto, you know!" she exclaimed, very proud. He didn't get to say anything, as Obito eagerly agreed, giving his second motion on the idea. The Hokage smiled hopefully at him. "Then Kakashi, your next mission will be looking after Naruto then, okay?"

Here he is now, currently in the middle of their dinner, with Naruto sitting down on his chair, forming a pout on his lips. Kushina and her team had already left three hours ago, and it was currently seven in the evening that he noticed a change of mood in Naruto.

The blond-haired lad has been demanding to see his father, however, the Hokage is currently so filled with work and meetings that he's unable to leave his office for two days now. That's one of the reasons why Kushina, who was living her life as a housewife for two peaceful years, was suddenly pulled for a mission.

"I want Daddy!" Naruto crossed his arms, refusing to eat his mother's dinner that was already reheated by Kakashi.

"Well, I would be happy to hand you to your Dad, but Lord Hokage is still working" he replied, not aware of the frown and the tears gathering in Naruto's eyes. He was then in shock though, when the little boy suddenly wailed loudly and started crying. Startled by the sudden outburst, he approached the little boy and tried to calm him down. Unfortunately, it only got worse, when the young lad started to cough and soon vomited what's inside his stomach. Kakashi's eyes widened in horror, he grabbed Naruto only to notice the warm sensation from the little boy's skin.

"Mama" the little boy cried again, feeling weak and tired. Worried about Naruto's health, Kakashi grabbed him and wrapped him in thick jackets as he hurried on his way to the hospital. Once he arrived, the nurse immediately assisted him and did a check-up on Naruto. A few minutes later, they were admitted into a room, with Naruto now asleep and calm.

"Is he okay?" he asked the doctor.

The old doctor smiled and informed him that it was common for kids to get sick, as their body takes time to adjust to the weather. "Well anyway, he should be fine by tomorrow. You can stay here for the night so we can do another check-up by then. Also, I already informed his father. But I don't think he'll be here for the night. Where's his Mother though?"

"She's currently on a mission. They asked me to watch over him for a while."

"I see. Then, I'll leave him to you. Just call a nurse when you need one" the old doctor smiled, as he left and closed the door.

Kakashi stared at the sleeping blond on the bed, observing the little boy as he remembered the first time he saw him. 'He's still very small' he thought to himself. Naruto however woke up from his sleep and started crying looking for his parents. The boy then noticed him, eyes filled with tears as he reached out his arms towards Kakashi. The young man smiled, as he carried him, letting the three-year-old wrap his arms around his neck as he cried on his shoulders due to the pain. 'Still very small'. He thought again, as he sat on the bed while cuddling the toddler in his arms.

Kushina arrived in the hospital around five in the morning, after hearing what happened to her son. She was relieved to learn that Naruto's fever was gone and sleeping peacefully on top of Kakashi. Seconds later, Minato popped out of nowhere. His hair was messy, his eyes tired and was dark under, and only one of the sleeves of his cloak was worn properly. He was just in a meeting minutes ago and decided to take a short nap when Obito and Rin arrived and informed him about Naruto. Worried, he left the office and started to dash towards the hospital. He was leaning by the door now, trying to catch a breather, and was then relieved when he saw Naruto sleeping peacefully in Kakashi's arms.
