Namikaze Family

Parallel Dimension - Part Six

Kushina has been feeling conflicted about what happened since minutes ago.

A few minutes ago she had lunch with her family and her husband's students. The next they were in the room, trying to undo the seal his ancestor had placed on a scroll that has been the target of the recent crimes and infiltrations that have been happening in their village. Then, Naruto suddenly entered the room right after she released the seal. Seconds later, her son was replaced with a young man in his mid-twenties claiming that he is her son. Though she kinda believes him, noticing how she looks a lot like him and her husband. To top it off, he also has her verbal tic.

After a while, the man explained the situation and assured them everything would be fine in a few hours. Two hours had passed, and she learned about the 'Alternate Universe' and soon heard about his past. She was happy with his achievements but felt sorrowful about the loss of his parents in his own dimension.

Decided, he grabbed the young mans' hand, surprising him from the sudden actions. "Then, I'll be your mother until the time is up, you know"

The Jounins and the previous Hokage present stared at the red-haired woman. Observing the young man on how he will react. Soon, Naruto started to laugh as he accepted her offer. It was then he shared with her that he actually has a son.

"Me? A grandmother at this age?" Kushina claimed happily.

Obito chuckled at her words. "That fits you right Old woman" the raven-haired man teased, earning a punch in the head by the pissed woman. Kakashi could only roll his eyes at him, while RIn giggled watching her having another fight with Obito.

Minutes later, Hiruzen called out for Obito and Kakashi's attention. Stating that they have something to talk about. Naruto pressed his lips together knowing where it was going from but nevertheless remained silent as he wanted to enjoy at least a few moments with his mother that he only met for a few minutes during his teenage years.

Rin noticed the young man's eyes, making their eyes meet. Naruto only smiled at her as he nodded his head.

Naruto and Kushina spent hours talking about random things, finding it amusing that they almost have the same thing in common. He also got to ask more about his father in this dimension and felt happy about what he heard. As seconds turned into minutes, and soon it became hours. It was almost time for Naruto to leave when Kushina realized something.

"Somehow, even though I only met you for a few hours. I'm really happy that you're my son. Different dimensions or whatever you will always be my son. I love you Naruto'' she smiled, showing him her toothy grin while wishing him well.

Instantly Obito arrived back 'Seriously this Mother and Child always take too much time.' he thought as he cast the technique on them. Seconds later Minato appeared beside her with a sleeping Naruto in his arms. For some reason, tears were in his eyes as he stared from nowhere.

"Minato?" She called out worriedly.

"Kushina? So we're back?" he muttered. Tears falling from his eyes. Rin and the others slowly left the room, leaving the family some alone time. Kushina nodded, still grinning at her husband. Minato chuckled, not knowing why he was crying, but felt proud for their son. Without a word, Kushina wrapped her arms around her family. As she herself doesn't know what was happening as well.
