A Missing Fish Cake

Obito stared at a blond-haired boy in front of a store. His tiny hands were on his shirt as he looked at the displayed masks on the wall. He tilted his head to the side as he was curious about what's holding them. He then smiled, as he squatted down after noticing ants lining up near his feet.

"Hmm? Could this be a missing fish cake" he called out while grinning at the boy in front of him, earning the boy's attention.

The said little boy turned his head towards the voice and beamed him a smile after recognizing him. "Obi-nii!" he shouted with glee, standing up and hugging his legs.

"What are you doing here alone? Where's your Mom and Dad?" he asked, carrying the child in his arms, as he looked around hoping to find familiar faces.

The child however was still smiling at him, as he wrapped his hands around his neck. "Mama is somewhere. Papa is work" he claimed.

"So, you're lost, then?"

Naruto blinked in response, not understanding what he meant. "I'm Hungry". The twenty-year-old man sighed. He then went around to look for a place to eat.

On the other hand, a red-haired woman was searching frantically for her son. Tracing back her steps, as she looked carefully for her little man. It took her almost an hour to look, hesitating whether to inform Minato or not. However, it would have been easier that way as the man had left his space-time ninjutsu mark on his son, just that her husband is currently in a meeting with the great lords, and she didn't want to disturb her husband while he's working.

Sitting by a bench, she sighed, despite her son missing, she didn't feel worried. More like she knew that he's safe. It wasn't later though when the other half of nine tails inside her informed her about her son. She looked up and saw his little mischievous fishcake sitting on Obito's shoulder while eating cotton candy. A sigh of relief escaped her, as she approached the two. Obito, who noticed her, greeted her back.

"Looks like your Mom found us, Naruto"

Naruto averted his gaze to his mother, raising his arms as a greeting while calling for her. Kushina was worried about her son, she immediately grabbed him and hugged him tightly, not caring about the cotton candy dirtying her hair. Naruto innocently giggled unaware of the trouble he caused. In response, he only wrapped his arms around her neck tightly while calling her again.

Kushina looked up to one of her husbands' pupils. She thanked him for his help as he watched and took care of Naruto when he's alone. She was about to leave to continue her shopping, but the young man offered to help out. With a grin, Kushina accepted his offer, and off they went shopping for daily necessities.

Hours had passed, they were unconscious about the time they arrived home. Opening the door to her house, with Naruto stuck on Obito's back talking about random stuff he sees. She welcomed him in and went straight to the living room. They were surprised when they saw Minato reading a book on the couch.

"Oh, Minato you're home" Kushina called out happily to her husband. Minato turned his attention to them. Only to see them wearing goofy accessories and matching sunglasses. "We bought lots of fun stuff today, and Obito will join us for dinner too."

"Is that so? That's good to know" he chuckled awkwardly while watching his family, picking out weird items from the bags to show them to him.

Angry Minato, perhaps?

CagedHeart7: Not really Kurama, since Naruto has the other half of Kurama inside him. Just thought it would be amusing if Naruto can understand foxes since he has one inside him. (´υ｀)
