Hello, 15 of you that have followed my story. I'm encountering some formatting errors and the like when I upload fics on any of my accounts, so I apologize for that.

Meanwhile, any questions you might have, feel free to review and I'll do my best to answer.

By the way, Harry is ooc, I need to put that in the synopsis. I won't bash anyone, the spirit of this fic is redemption. No harem, I'm not twelve or getting paid, so...yeah. This story might have lemons eventually? I've never written romance though I do like the genre. Otherwise, enjoy.

"What...what do I need to do?"

"Eat some. Get some sleep maybe, it also wouldn't hurt to read a bit."

"So I can't help?"

"I don't like to give upsetting answers, Harry, but no. You can read some books on how wizarding law works if you'd like, Harry, it's a convoluted process that I barely tolerate myself. I do have the authority to keep you here for about 10 days though, enough to get you started on your studies if you'd wish."

"I'd...like that sir."

"In brighter news, the groundskeeper, Hagrid, is retrieving some of your parents' personal effects so that you might understand what they enjoyed during their time here. Maybe you can use one of their wands and start on some basic charms."

"Wand, sir?"

Albus sighed, having forgotten Harry knew oh so little.

"A magical focus, of a sort. Staves and other foci exist but they are generally more specific tools, one day you might use one yourself. There is magic saturating your body, originating in your heart. Text book, Magicals have a mutation of some kind, though that's a difficult word to apply, that connects to your soul'. Some like to coin the term soul magic for what saturates magicals but that's...not...anyway, a wand makes it easy to turn that magic into something useful."

Dumbledore went to retrieve his wand...not his wand…'Harry's wand'

"Here.", he handed Harry the white wand...the Elder wand. Albus had an idea...one that would mean giving up all control for a time, relinquishing massive amounts of power.

Albus pulled out his own wand, one he so rarely used. Harry had learned DADA faster than anyone he had ever seen, a true prodigy really. This should work.

"Harry, point that wand at me...and say Expelliarmus."

"Expelliarmus….oh, I felt that! But nothing happened?"

"Try again, Harry.", Albus was trying his best to keep his voice steady. Harry would have felt nothing if the wand was not his...Albus should have realized that the hallows would trancede death.

It took him a dozen minutes but a red light cast out from the white wand, disarming Dumbledore. Though Albus knew that it was unnecessary, he had Harry disarm him, just in case.

"That was brilliant!"

"Why don't you hold on to that wand. Your parents likely wouldn't work very well for you, so it's a good idea to use that wand instead."

"But...it's yours sir…"

"No Harry. It has never truly been mine. Treat it well for me, will you?"

"So I don't have to get my own? Thank you sir."

"No, you'll get one from Ollivanders as well, that wand just happens to be a bit special. Maybe don't use it during class, it has a bit more kick than most."

"Okay, sir."

"Well, I think that's a fine birthday present, but Hagrid would like to give you his, I'd guess."

After he spoke, Hagrid lumbered into the office.

" 'ello 'eadmaster-OH! Hello Harry!"

"H-hello?"

"I'm 'agrid. Keeper of keys and grounds here at Hogwarts. Ooo, I got you a couple things here from yer mom and dad, and a couple presents of my own."

Hagrid nearly slammed a heavy looking crate of various books, pictures, and other personal items from the Potter vault on the table. The half-giant then pulled two elegant wand cases from his coat, along with a small package.

Harry hesitated over the package, a neat bow sitting atop it.

"Well go on, open it."

Harry tentatively moved aside the twine and lifted the lid off the package, revealing a pink cake with 'Happee Birthdae Harry' written in frosting.

"Thank you."

"Yer welcome Harry. Made it myself...migh' be a bit beat up aft'r all the travlin, but it will be just as good."

"I'm sure it will. What are these?"

Albus chose to step into the dialog then,"These are some of your parents personal items. Mostly your mother's by the looms of things. You're welcome to look through them tonight, tomorrow we'll send you to the alley to retrieve your own school supplies."

"Thank you."

"Why don't you explore the castle a bit now, Harry."

"Okay."

The scrawny boy stood, tried lifting the crate, and failed.

"Umm…"

"Here I'll...actually. Pull out that wand of yours."

"Okay."

"Swish and a little flick, imagine a cushion underneath the box, lifting it up. The incantation is Wingardium Leviosa."

If the boy could do it, it meant Albus had made a grave error in binding Harry in the last life. A potentially world ending one-"Wingardum Levosa"

"Oh, your pronunciation was a little…"

The box was floating. Not high, but floating.

"Well. Nevermind...do you have a particularly active imagination, Harry?"

"I had to entertain myself a lot, headmaster."

"Awe...okay then. Keep your concentration and take that box as far as you can, an elf will lead you to the...hmmm...we'll make you a room in an unused classroom. Abby!"

Abby popped in and led Harry out of the room.

"Do you have the stone, Hagrid?"

The clearly dazed man blinked at Albus,"Oh, right 'ere headmaster."

Albus took the stone from Hagrid and stared at it.

"You might serve a very different purpose in this run if things…"

" 'eadmaster?"

"Yes, Hagrid?"

"Did 'arry Potter just do the floating charm on his first try?"

"Yes."

"Oh."
