Harry Potter turned so he was no longer facing her. She bit her lip. The others looked at her, apprehension clear on features. She knew that Harry could take Nott down, but she guessed that they did not know that. She gestured for them to follow Harry. Kathryn and Reagan did, but Noah remained still. She turned to face him. His eyes were following Harry closely. The look in his eyes could only be described as fear. He gripped her hand.
"What is it?" She whispered
"You're shaking," he said, taking one of her hands. She chuckled
"Look, in the last hour, I've been held captive, cursed and nearly attacked by Harry." She said
"Are you scared of him?" Noah asked
"Nott?"
"Yeah" he said. She didn't answer "what did they do to you Lise?" He asked
"What are you talking about?" She asked
"I saw you in there, Lise. Whatever your issues are, they caused it."
"I really can't do this right now," Lisa said "let's just focus on taking down Nott for now." She took his hand and led him to the door. He looked at her, worry lined his face. She pushed it open. They were assaulted with the bright lights of the auditorium. The air seemed thicker inside. It had a musty smell, one that could only be caused by too many people and no open air flow. The students were sitting on the bleacher, with a group of teachers, standing in the center of the auditorium. She recognized some of them, but none of them were Nott. She looked around, for Harry or Reagan or even Kathryn. She spotted them on the lowest bleacher. She nodded to Noah and sat next to Reagan. Her heart raced in chest. Noah squeezed her hand. She gripped Ginny's wand in her pocket. Her best bet was to get the wand to Ginny, well if she was in an ok shape to fight. She knew that Ginny was the better spell caster. Harry was tapping his foot impatiently. He couldn't figure out how to sit still. He glanced at Lisa and noticed that she was as still as he was not. He wondered for a minute how she could do that. He shook his head and gripped his wand. He looked for Nott again, but still could not see him. One of the teachers stepped forward.
"Attention Students and teachers, welcome to Crestview second annual-" a man pushed the teacher speaking aside. Lisa recognized him instantly. She slipped Ginny's wand out of her pocket. Harry was practically out of his seat. Nott scanned the crowd. He smiled when he saw Harry. Lisa's stomach churned. She suddenly found herself frozen in her seat. It seemed that both Harry and Nott were ignoring her completely.
"Sorry, everyone, I do not mean to take up too much of your time, but I have a couple of announcements to make," he said. Almost no one was paying attention.
"Mr Whitenford,-" one of the teachers said
"That is actually my first announcement. My name is not Dean Whitenford. It's Theodore Nott Sr." He took a small vial out of his jacket. He downed it quickly. His features seemed to bubble and morph into someone totally different. The man now facing the crowd had much stronger features and was a fair bit older. Now, he had everyone's attention. Lisa quickly looked around the crowd. There was a mix of shock and confusion. She doubted any of them fully understood what was going on. Harry stood up quickly and sent a jet of red light at Nott. Nott deflected it. Lisa heard screaming in the crowd. She held Ginny's wand close to her. She found it nearly impossible to stand up. Nott sent something back to Harry. Harry put up his shield. Nott sent a barrage of spells back. Lisa still found herself unable to move.
"Lisa," Noah whispered. She could hardly do anything. She could hear the screams and the spells but she couldn't process any of it. She heard a blast. She suddenly found herself covering her ears, hoping it would stop. She finally found her ability to move. She grabbed Noah forcefully and dragged him under cover. She covered her head. She needed to avoid the falling rocks or masonry
Harry covered his ears at the noise. He looked around quickly, to make sure nothing would fall on him. He felt a spell hit him. His wand went flying out of his hand. Nott was laughing. There was no damage, no falling debris.
"It was only the noise, Lise" he heard someone say behind him. Nott was coming closer. He looked to see where his wand went, but he couldn't find it.
"Hello, Potter, I've been meaning to talk to you for a while," Nott said
"Where's Ginny?" Harry growled
"Oh, I should have guessed that would be your first question" he chuckled
"Well?" Harry said. Nott smiled
"Well, I suppose I could put your mind at ease before I kill you," he said. He cast a spell. Ginny appeared, but she was unconscious again. Her usually rosy cheeks had almost no colour in them. Noah managed to drag Lisa out from under the cover she had found
"No!" Lisa yelled
"It's ok, nothing is falling," Noah reassured her. She looked around the auditorium. People were now trying to get out. Lisa looked around the room. There was nothing falling on them. She found herself shaking. Her ears were still ringing. She looked frantically for Harry and Nott. She saw them, in the middle of the Auditorium. Ginny was several feet away, not moving. She found herself getting up. Noah grabbed her arm.
"Lisa-"
"We need to help her. She could be hurt!" Lisa yelled. She got up and ran to Ginny's side. She quickly felt a pulse. She breathed a sigh of relief when she felt it. It was strong. Lisa's head was spinning. She tried to center herself. It was not an easy task. Harry watched her relax. He knew she was still breathing. She was still alive. Lisa grabbed Ginny and swung her over her shoulder, almost like a soilder carrying another off of a battlefield.
"Don't worry, I have not laid a hand on her" Nott said
"Really? Is that why she's unconscious?" Harry asked. He looked behind him. His wand was nowhere in sight. Nott raised his wand at Harry.
"Maybe I should teach you to watch your cheek before I kill you," Nott said. Harry did not think. He just ran. He collided with Nott. Nott fell back. Next thing Harry knew, he was flying backwards, his body in extreme pain. Not the worst pain of his life, but it was fairly severe. The pain stopped suddenly. Harry struggled to stand. Nott was smirking at him. Harry noticed something behind his smirk however. It was rage.
"Fine. If you insist on fighting like a muggle, I'll kill you like a muggle." He said. He took out a blade. Lisa dropped Ginny down next to where Noah and Reagan were hiding. She turned to see Nott approaching Harry. There was a glint of something metallic in his hand. It was a dagger. Harry was wandless, defenseless. Lisa needed to do something. She reached for Ginny's wand. It was gone. She looked furiously for it. She saw where she left it. It was under the bleachers, where she had hid. It was past Nott and Harry. But it wasn't alone. There was Harry's wand, several feet away. Maybe, if she could distract Nott for long enough, Harry could get it.
"Wait," she called. Nott turned to face her. Harry looked at her, confused
"Do not interrupt me blood traitor" He said
"I just have a couple of questions," she said. He looked between Harry and her. His eyes finally settled on her
"Fine, girl, what questions could you have" he said
"Why are you here? I mean it seems like a pretty stupid place to be, a muggle highschool after all." She said, He laughed
"I am here because someone owes me a debt. She helped me set this up for as long as I needed. It was a decent enough way to pass the time."
"But not just stay hidden? We found you" Lisa said. She looked over in Harry's direction. He hadn't made a move towards his wand yet.
"No you did not girl, you and I both know he was far from finding out my identity and you, you haven't been helping him since I killed your principal." He said
"That was you?" Lisa asked. She saw Harry mouthed "I told you so". She fought an eye roll.
"Yes, that was me" he laughed
"But why?" She asked
"Because I was helping a friend" he said
"The same friend who set this up for you?" She asked. He did not answer. His face contorted into a snarl
"Fine then girl, if you insist on knowing more than you need to, I'll have to take care of you as well." He took a step closer to her. Lisa took a step back. She saw the glittering blade in his hand. All she could think of was how easily it would pierce her skin. Her heart raced in her chest. She saw the door behind her. She began to move away quicker. Before she knew it, her tentative steps backwards had turned into a full run. She raced to the door. She heard Nott yell something, but she could not make out what. She did not turn around, but she knew he was behind her, chasing after her. Blood rushed to her ears. Her feet hit the floor in a rapid, uneven rhythm. She slammed into the door, forcing it open. She caught herself and kept going. She could sense Nott getting closer. She thought she heard a whooshing sound behind her. She did not stop to see what it was. She soon ran herself into a corner. She turned to see Nott was nowhere near.
Harry Potter saw Lisa take off into a sprint. Nott took off after her. Harry did not think he just ran as well. Nott was starting to gain on her. Harry put all of his strength into his run. If he could just catch Nott, then Lisa could get away. Nott was only after her because she stalled for his sake. He needed to make sure she got out of this. He wasn't going to let her die to protect him. He thanked Merlin for all the running he had to do for order training. He was almost caught up with them. He forced himself to pick up the pace. He was now almost equal with Nott. He threw himself at Nott, sending them both falling away. Lisa kept running. His body was exploding in pain. He tried to force himself up, but Nott was up faster. He was leaning over him, knife in hand. Nott tried to plunge the knife into his chest, but Harry knocked the knife off course. It hit him in the arm instead. He felt the searing pain of a blade piercing his skin. There was blood seeping from the wound, but Harry did not have time to examine it. Nott raised the knife again. Harry caught it and forced the hilt of the blade into Nott's chest. The knife went flying out of his hand. Harry pulled his knee up, striking Nott. Harry was able to force himself away from Nott and reached for the knife. He got it in his hand. Nott gripped his leg and tried to pull him back. He reached for the knife. Harry thrusted the knife back. It hit Nott squarely in the chest. Harry scrambled away as Nott fell back. His face turned a sickly white. His eyes bulged as he looked at Harry, his face covered in anger. Harry saw two men in red coats reach for him. He felt someone try to lift him up. He tried to push the unseen hands away. Harry tried to stand. He turned to Nott. Grey putting cuffs around his hands. A couple other aurors were standing around him.
"Call a healer," one of them said. Someone helped him up. The blood rushed to his ears as he saw Robards staring back at him.
"Come on Potter, we need to get your arm looked at" He said
"I had too" Harry said
"I know,"
"Ginny," Harry mumbled
"We have her with a healer, she's fine, Potter"
Lisa Turpin watched the head auror lead Harry away. She watched healers run over to Nott. He was trying to get away, but two Aurors were holding him. The healers tried to help him, but he spit in one of their faces. She just stood there. No one came over. One of the Aurors saw her standing there, alone, and walked over. Lisa recognized her. She was the one who pretended to be Harry's Aunt.
"Lisa Turpin?" She asked
"Yeah," Lisa mumbled
"I'm going to need to ask you some questions.
