Chapter XIII: Supreme Oppressor Tweeg

Sergeant Iceheart

"Cannons are at full power," an infantry soldier says as I aim the weapon at Walker's forces. If we are to make this count we need to hit them at the source. I order the solider to fire on my command. The scope picks up one of the warden's battle wagons.

"On my command fire," I watch the wagon moving forward. He says the wagon is in range. "Fire!" a large green energy beam shoots out of the weapon and immobilizes the vehicle. I aim the scope at a squad of ghost cops and give the command to attack. A blue beam shoots out this time and freezes the cops in their place.

"Sergeant Iceheart, what are the conditions on the field?" Lord Frostbite asks as his image appears in front of me. I tell him that we took out a squad of ghost cops with the stasis cannon. "Excellent, hopefully a few more volleys and we can force them to retreat. I ask him about the Great One. "Still comatose, his friends are guarding him well." it makes me...a solider comes in and saws there is something I need to see. "Go," our leader says as his image fades away.

I bring down the scope and see a beam of energy hit the enemy. Their weapons start to malfunction and disintegrate. A group of cyborg ghosts surround and capture them. I notice the cyborgs bear a striking resemblance to Clockwork.

"Move fire towards their battle wagons," I order my men as the ice cannons fire and freeze them in place.

Tweeg

"Any last words?" I ask the child as I adjust the dials on the machine. He tells his friends will come from him. "Your friends at the bottom of the swamp." I place the second helmet on my head and throw the switch. The boy writhes as electricity fills his body. "Don't fight it, child."

I feel his power enter my body. It was unlike anything I had ever felt. This must be how Quellor feels. Quellor, he is no threat any more. He could send all of M.A.V.O here and I would still win. I watch as the boy clutch his chest before passing out from the pain. "Now to hide you from my guests...," The power flows towards my hand and encases the boy in some kind of cocoon. "Amazing," I use my new abilities to lock the boy in a secret chamber.

"Tweeg open up!" I voice says as something pounds on my door. I race up stairs and find the blue bounder with one Quellor's flunkies. "By order of the Supreme Oppressor you are to hand over your prisoner." I tell him I have no prisoner. "You dare defy...," he begins to say when a green power beam comes out of my hand.

The bounder looks nervous as I blast him. "The reign of Quellor is over!" I declare triumphantly.

Anacletus (Lead Ghost Vulture)

"I don't think Walker will be too happy," Acacius says nervously. I remind him that we've faced tougher things before. "Yeah but none of those threats knew we stole money long ago." I roll my eyes and assure him that Walker won't lock us up. "You don't...,"

"Hey guys you should see this," Æsc says turning my head towards the battle. The warden's troops were retreating. "You don't think the ghost child is back in business?" I shake my head and tell them this good for us. If they're retreating it means our job is done. The boss said to make sure they don't get the boy.

"This leaves only the girl in the dream kingdom," Acacius reminds us as I nod. "We are doing Vlad's work and we're not lifting a feather." I remind him that we still need to kill the ghost boy. "Oh yeah, what do you have in mind?"

I fly towards the battlefield and phase into an unconscious yeti. "This going to be like when we sneaked into Nebuchadnezzar's treasury," I say through the ghosts mouth as I make him rise. Acacius and Æsc looked at me and followed suit. "Shef will pleased," I tell them as we make our way towards the castle. Æsc asks what kind of reward Vlad will give us for doing a good job. "He has a book on Necromancy. I'd wager there is a spell we can use raise Matlock from the dead."

"That means, new episodes!" my partners say high-fiving each other. I warn them to be quiet. "Oh yes, sorry."

Teddy Ruxpin

We were lead down a long hallway. I am not sure how long as it all looks the same. "What do you think this Great Elf will...," I feel someone pulling on my chain and voice told me to be silent. "Sorry," I said bowing my head.

"You must excuse him, they do not know your ways?" Leota explains to the guard holding me prisoner. He looked at her and asked why she lead us here. She should know this land is off limits. "We were trying to rescue a friend. I swear that...," we came upon two massive wooden doors.

One of our captor steps forward and does an elaborate knock. The door swings open and we are lead inside. "Kneel before the Great Elf," one the elves says jabbing us with his spear until he kneel. "Oh Great Elf we bring these intruders for judgment."

"What are their crimes?" the Great Elf asks looking at us. An elf steps forward and said we tricked them by giving a false offering. He produces the 'gold' we left for them. He takes a knife and scratches the surface. Gimmick gets up to object but Leota stops him.

"They had the gall to offer us fake gold," another elf says as the Great Elf looks at it. "Elven law demands they provide a proper sacrifice to make up for this blasphemy."

"What's blasphemy?" Grubby asks me. I tell him it means we insulted their ways and show contempt for them. "Your Elfness," he turns to face the monarch. "We didn't mean to...," a guard pulls on his chain silencing him.

"A thousand pardons, they don't know the elven ways," Leota says as he looks at her. He asks if she is a wood sprite. "Yes, my lord and as a kin of the elves I wish to represent them." He nods and motions for her come forward. "Thank you." She begins to tell him how she examined the gold before they offered it. "It was real, if I may speak truthfully, those who wished us harm must have a stole the gold so that we would be captured."

"They lie just like the others before them!" An elf speaks out. "The impious ones came with offerings and all they did was destroy our land."

"Who came before?" Gimmick asks curiously. The guard holding his chain went to silence but the Grand Elf stops him. He says others have come and have only caused pain. "Who was it," he takes a scroll with M.A.V.O written on it. "Great Gears!" he exclaims. "I assure you we are no friends of M.A.V.O." I tell him as he studies as us.

"Guards, take these intruders to the cells. I need time to think this over," the Great Elf said as thy led us down a hall.

"I think this a good sign," Grubby said, "It's a pity we don't have my root stew here. It always helps me think."

"What the Hell is taking those medics so long," Sam complained as she tried to figure out what's wrong. Danny's vitals were all over he place and he was shuddering like he had the chills. She looks at the devices frantically. I ask her what she's looking for. "A morphine drip, it would help calm him down," The medics burst in at that moment.

"Where is he?" I lead to the pod where my brother is. They look over the readings while Sam watches over them impatiently. "It's another subconscious reaction," she asks them if it's a good thing. "In a way, the fact his mind is active means that is healing. However reactions like this meaning he's experiencing trauma." They place a mask over Danny's mouth and nose.

"What is that?" I ask curiously. The medic says it's a special psychoactive gas. It will help with whatever he's dealing with and brings his vitals back to normal. "Is there anything we can do?" I ask them as Danny calms down. He shakes his head saying this is Danny's battle and he must win it himself.

"Is that all you can say?!" Sam bolts up, "His life is on the line and all you can do is say 'it's...," the room shakes from another volley of Walker's forces. The lights flickered on and off. I place a hand on her shoulder. "Don't patronize me Jasmine!" she storms out the door. "You're all turning your back him!"

Sludge

"I knew you couldn't be trusted," I said taking out a knife and stab him but my hand just phases through him. "No wonder the former Supreme Oppressor fails. He has such lackluster help." He begins to levitate off the ground. "Speaking of Quellor, contact him NOW." I cast a spell summoning him.

"This had better be important Sludge," Quellor's image appeared in front of me. "Do you have the boy?" he asks impatiently as Tweeg laughs. Tweeg tells him that there's been a change in plans. "You dare defy me, I will have locked in the dungeons for this betrayal." Tweeg laughs and says he no longer fears the Supreme Oppressor. "I am the most evil being in all the world!"

"You were Quellor, but now I am," he laughs showing off his power. "You are going to do as I say from now on! I demand you step down as Supreme Oppressor and appoint me the new head of M.A.V.O!" Quellor says he will have all his forces capture him. "I would...," he begins to say but something stops him. "Something's not right," he said as a another head sprouted from his neck. "What in Grundo..." the first head says, "is happening to me?" the second one finishes the question.

"A Supreme Oppressor must be in control of his power. Something you obviously lack." Tweeg glares at him as the second head says this is just a minor hiccup and will resolve it. "Sludge! Bring the new Supreme Oppressor to M.A.V.O Headquarters so we may make it official."

"I am not..." the first head said as he looks down and sees is sinking into the floor. "I'm sinking! I need to find the boy!" the second one replies "You! bounder, pull me out of here!" the first head yells as he tells Tweeg he has other plans. "No one insults Tweeg the Almighty!" he says as his heads disappear from sight.

"Come, we need to find the boy," I tell him as LB comes out of the boy. "You! where did Tweeg take the boy!?" the red bounder says that he's in a secret chamber in the dungeon. "Show us!" he leads us into the dungeon. He walks up to a wall and jumps trying to reach a lever. "I'll do it," I pull the lever revealing what looks like a glowing green cocoon. I place an ear on it, "I can hear him breathing," I rip it from the wall. "Where does Tweeg keep his portal?"

"I'll show you," LB says as we follow him.
