Title: The Elvenking's 100-Drabbles
Author: LegolasLover2003 aka Ashley
Category: Book - "The Lord of the Rings"
Genre: General / Drama
Rating: T
Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, I just adore them to pieces.
Author's Note: I got lazy. I don't want to translate it all into Sindarin. To be honest, I think that's why it takes me so long to post these pieces. It's quicker to write them by hand then type them up then it is to translate all the dialogue, lol.

Nar A Raw

It was a sight that warmed the Elvenking's heart, and one that he was rarely graced with the chance to behold. Sitting within the room upon a burgundy chaise were his sons. The fire cracked and sparked, casting shadows upon the walls, while outside the wind howled viciously. A strong storm was passing through the Greenwood this night and the lightning had seeming woken and frightened his youngest.
Now, Morolas kept Legolas close upon his lap, reading the Elfling a picture book to try and ease those late night stormy fears. Watching them, Thrandil had not the heart to interrupt.
"When the beast saw the mouse, he roared fiercely. Can you roar fiercely?" Morolas asked his little brother.
Grinning from ear to ear, Legolas put his hands up near his face like claws. "Roar!" he shouted.
Suddenly there were hands tickling ribs and that roar turned into happy giggles and squeals as Legolas fell over on the chaise.
Morolas grinned. "Such a best... subdued by tickles..."
Walking in, Thranduil smiled at his sons. "What are you both reading?" he asked, coming to stand behind the chaise.
Legolas popped up onto his feet, fully standing on the furniture. "About a lion and a mouse. The lion gets hurt, ada... but the mouse helps and everyone is friends in the end!" the Elfling spoke, flinging his arms widely to exaggerate his words in his excitement.
"May I read with you?" the Elvenking asked, to which his youngest promptly demanded with grabby hands, to be picked up.
"Of course, adar." Morolas replied, moving over to make room upon the chaise for his father.
After snatching Legolas up into his arms, Thranduil sat down. The little Elfling perched happily upon his father's lap as they both continued to listen to Morolas read the story.
By the end of the tale, Legolas was fast asleep, curled up against the Elvenking's chest, his fears dispelled by a simply story... and the love of his family.

END

Translations:
Nar A Raw = Rat & Lion (The Mouse and the Lion)
Ada / Adar = Father

Author's Notes:
- Morolas is a character of my own design. You may use him but please ask permission first.
- Because these are tiny drabbles, I will NOT be doing Muse Moments for each chapter.
- I was inspired to do these by Nyx Thranduilion who is also doing them. The original 100-drabbles challenge is in the invention of NirCele.
- All 100 of my drabbles will be Thranduil related... WEE!
- None of my drabbles will be in any sort of chronological order.
