Title: The Elvenking's 100-Drabbles
Author: LegolasLover2003 aka Ashley
Category: Book - "The Lord of the Rings"
Genre: General / Drama
Rating: T
Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, I just adore them to pieces.
Author's Note: I got lazy again. I don't want to translate it all into Sindarin. To be honest, I think that's why it takes me so long to post these pieces. It's quicker to write them by hand then type them up then it is to translate all the dialogue, lol. However, there will be certain pieces that I do Sindarin only dialogue in... just not ones that are heavy in speaking... or this one because it's literally late and I have to go to work in the morning.

Raphel

She watched with no small amount of admiration as the blond Elf grasped the lowest branch of the maple and pulled himself up. His bare feet swiftly disappeared into the foliage that was turning auburn and orange. Patiently… she waited, straining her ears for any sound of his whereabouts… any creaking branch… any rustle of leaves. Yet there was naught but the silence in that secluded glen. Absently, her fingers traced along the silver embroidery that adorned the prince's mahogany tunic. They seemed like threads of spider's silk really, giving the garment an almost sparkling quality, as if the morning's first dew had settled upon it.
The sun was fading in time, and soon the couple would have to start back… Oh, the king would certainly be worried, she knew, if his second born tarried too long in the woods. She had told him that this incident did not matter… let the crow take her hair pin if he truly desired the shiny bauble. It would likely impress any female crow who came to call. But he had been stubborn, insisting on returning the stolen trinket. A trinket which had very likely made it to the bird's nest by now.
A hand suddenly lighted upon her shoulder and the maiden gasped, jumping where she stood and turning swiftly in surprise.
Shock turned to relief as she sighed. "Do not scare me like that, Thranduil…"
The somewhat impish prince smiled, holding out her hair pin. "May I?" he asked, to which she nodded and turned just enough to allow him to return the pin to its proper place within her long light brown hair.
With a smile of her own, the maiden blushed slightly while holding out his tunic. "We should go before your father worries."
Thranduil sighed, taking said tunic, and starting to finish redressing fully before attending to his boots. "The days are too short." He spoke, whistling toward the trees as he tapped one toe on the ground, finishing putting on his boots. A beautiful tan mare appeared then, walking toward the pair. Thranduil mounted first, offering the lady his hand. "Will you wear that pin tomorrow?" he asked.
She smiled in response, resting her hands around his hips on the horse. "Just for you."
With a grin that matched the love in his heart, Thranduil bade their mount onward. "No crow will ever think of stealing from my beloved again. I simply shall not stand for it." He teased as they headed back to Oropher's Halls.

Raphel = Stealing

Author's Notes:
- Because these are tiny drabbles, I will NOT be doing Muse Moments for each chapter.
- I was inspired to do these by Nyx Thranduilion who is also doing them. The original 100-drabbles challenge is in the invention of NirCele.
- All 100 of my drabbles will be Thranduil related... WEE!
- None of my drabbles will be in any sort of chronological order.
