Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, I just adore them to pieces.
Author's Note: I got lazy again. I don't want to translate it all into Sindarin. To be honest, I think that's why it takes me so long to post these pieces. It's quicker to write them by hand then type them up then it is to translate all the dialogue, lol. However, there will be certain pieces that I do Sindarin only dialogue in... just not ones that are heavy in speaking... or this one because it's literally late and I have to go to work in the morning.

He was meticulous in his inspection. In fact, Galion usually made certain that there was a place for everything… and everything in its place. That included the king's wine cellar.
For the past month however, things had been going missing at a rather alarming rate. This was most obvious in the steadily decreasing number of bottles of Dorwinion. What worried Galion most, however, was that if this trend continued, the Elvenking would run out of wine by the end of the month! Such an outcome was inexcusable! Thus, the king's butler had enlisted the aid of Legede.
"And a bottle was here yesterday?" the white-haired Elf asked, his blue gaze fixed on the obvious gap in the wine racks.
Galion nodded, "I checked it last night. Not even the bottles have been returned to fill the gap left. Surely our lord is not coming to the cellar in the middle of the night…"
Legede shook his head. "I would have noticed. No… Perhaps one of the staff is…" but the captain went silent, lithe fingers reaching out to pluck a seemingly innocent strand of golden blond hair from the empty space. There was certainly no mistaking who it belonged to, of course… a shade slightly darker than the king's own… the end not split in the least. It was a perfect specimen to be certain… quite condemning evident in the case of the mysterious disappearing Dorwinion.
"I think we have found your culprit." Legede smirked, holding the stray strand of hair aloft before him for Galion to see.
But before Legede could elaborate, the white-haired Elf's reflexes kicked in and he raised a hand, catching an empty wine bottle as it flew straight toward his own head!
"As have I." came Thranduil's voice from the top of the cellar steps.
One hand was grasping something, and soon that something became quite apparent as the wrist of a younger Elf. The Elvenking pulled then, causing a very sullen Legolas to appear behind him and start descending the stairs. Once at the base, Thranduil pushed his boy forward.
"You will apologize to Galion." The older Elf spoke, indicating the butler.
Sighing, and with head bowed, the prince stepped forward. "Forgive me, Galion. I… I just wanted to be like ada and… well… it did taste really good too."
At this, Legede had to hide his own smirk. "Like father, like son…" the captain teased his king.
Galion however, knelt down so that he could look up into the young Elf's eyes. "Next time… ask, caun nin. I was worried we had a thief in our midst." Smiling, Galion placed a hand on the blond's shoulder. "You are forgiven."
A wide smile appeared on the usually happy face and the youth looked back up to his father, seeing the king smiling slightly. "Can I Have some now, ada?"
Thranduil laughed, "With dinner, ion nin. With dinner."
And thus, the mystery of the missing Dorwinion was uneventfully solved.

Elvish Translations:
Dilia = Stop up / fill up hole (fill the gap)
Ada = Father (more child-like version of "adar")
Ion nin = My son
Caun nin = My prince
Author's Notes:
- Legede is an original character of my invention. You may use him but please ask first.
- Because these are tiny drabbles, I will NOT be doing Muse Moments for each chapter.
- I was inspired to do these by Nyx Thranduilion who is also doing them. The original 100-drabbles challenge is in the invention of NirCele.
- All 100 of my drabbles will be Thranduil related... WEE!
- None of my drabbles will be in any sort of chronological order.
