Title: The Elvenking's 100-Drabbles
Author: LegolasLover2003 aka Ashley
Category: Book - "The Lord of the Rings"
Genre: General / Drama
Rating: T
Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, I just adore them to pieces.
Author's Note: I got lazy again. I don't want to translate it all into Sindarin. To be honest, I think that's why it takes me so long to post these pieces. It's quicker to write them by hand then type them up then it is to translate all the dialogue, lol. However, there will be certain pieces that I do Sindarin only dialogue in... just not ones that are heavy in speaking... or this one because it's literally late and I have to go to work in the morning.
Ianna Said
So bright and peaceful was the night sky. The stars were alight in all their splendor, and the new moon only served to enhance the illuminated view. For the briefest of moments, Thranduil closed his eyes and let the gentle autumn breeze tease through his long bond hair… until something tickled his nose.
Looking to the young Elf who sat on his lap, the Elvenking smiled as his son pointed up to the sky.
"It looks like a great crow." Legolas spoke, moving his finger from one star to the next.
Turning blue eyes up, Thrandiul nodded before pointing to another set of stars for the boy to focus on. "That is Valacerch, the sickle of the Valar. See how it makes a great weapon? The Valar placed it there as a warning to Melkor."
Legolas smiled, "Legede told me about some of the star shapes. He said I should make my own sometime."
Sitting high within the boughs of an old pine, father and son were taking a much needed break from the king's hunting party, to star gaze. It was the young prince's first tip beyond the Elvenking's Halls, and he was enjoying himself immensely.
"Look, ada! A leaf!" the Elfling suddenly explained, pointing to another cluster of stars.
It had no name that Thranduil could recall, so he smiled to his son, "Shall we name it Legolas?"
The blond prince nodded enthusiastically before leaning back against his father's chest. "Legolas… just like me."
Thranduil's smile grew. "Aye, tithen pen… just like you."
Legolas fell asleep not long later, dreaming of the stars… safe and warm in the Elvenking's arms.

Elvish Translations:
Ianna Said = Connecting Dots
Valacerch = Sickle of the Valar (original Quenya name is Valacirca)
Tithen pen = Little one
Author's Notes:
- Legede is an original character of my invention. You may use him but please ask first.
- Because these are tiny drabbles, I will NOT be doing Muse Moments for each chapter.
- I was inspired to do these by Nyx Thranduilion who is also doing them. The original 100-drabbles challenge is in the invention of NirCele.
- All 100 of my drabbles will be Thranduil related... WEE!
- None of my drabbles will be in any sort of chronological order.
