What's up Dravenites? As you can see, this is a pearlshipping story. ( yeah I know I should be updating Advancing to marriage, but I felt like trying something different for a change. But you needn't fret. I'll go back.)

So, a bit of background info before we jump into this. The first thing is that this is in no way canonical with my previous timeline, like at all. Anyway, that's all for this intro card. Please enjoy!

In professor Oak's ranch, the clouds above mixed with the sunlight, creating a series of light beams that engulfed the area.

In a large area that was specifically used for small to medium sized gatherings, multiple chairs had been set up. In them were at least 100 guests, ranging from family to close friends.

In front of the audience were two young trainers. One who had red hair swept behind her shoulders. The dress she wore was mermaid style, with a satin bodice and faded silver sash around the waist. Her veil, just removed from her face.

The man next to her; a brunette, was wearing a navy suit with a white shirt and red velvet tie.

In front of the couple, an older man, easily pushing 60 spoke.

'' Do you Misty Brookes take Gary Oak to be your lawfully wedded husband. Do you promise to respect him as an equal? Do you promise to cherish him in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer?''

'' I do.''

'' And do you Gary Oak, take Misty to be your lawful wedded wife. Do you promise to respect her as an equal? Do you promise to cherish him in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer?''

'' Then by the power vested in me by the internet and the great region of Kanto, I now pronounce you husband and wife.''

The audience burst into thunderous applause as the newly wedded couple kissed passionately.

Next to Gary, a handsome young man with unkept raven hair patted his best friend on the back, a sad smile on his face as he stared at the beautiful bluenette across from him.

'' Please welcome for the first time; Misty and Gary Oak!'' Tracey Sketchit; the MC announced.

The party had moved to another area of the ranch which would serve as the reception area.

The same raven-haired man was busy sitting at a temporarily erected bar, downing his sorrows in imported beer from Sinnoh.

'' And they say I'm supposed to be miserable'' came a familiar voice.

Looking up, the man saw his best friend smirk.

'' Oh, hey Gary. I'm fine, just a bit down ya know?''

'' No. Ash listen to me. I've known you since we were kids, so nothing gets by me. What's wrong with you?'' Gary asked, sitting down.

'' I'm miserable'' Ash slammed his drink down.

'' Why? You're inter-regionally famous, a member of the Battle Frontier and you were just interviewed on the Marion show last Tuesday. What do you have to be miserable about?''

'' I'm single. We're the same age yet you're already married. Here I am in my 20s, still single and the closest thing I have to a girlfriend is Pikachu.''

'' Ok first off. Never equate that rat to a human woman. Second of all, you're 24, you've still got time. Now, get on the dance floor and cut a rug. I bet you look like a Spinerak on a hot plate.''

Ash rolled his eyes and approached a large wooden platform.

'' Nice tux'' came a voice from next to him.

'' Thanks Dawn. Nice dress. Very…pink.''

Dawn beamed. The dress she was wearing was similar to Misty's, the only difference being that hers was a faded pink color, and her sash was black. Dawn's hair was also pulled back into a ponytail, that hung over her shoulder.

'' So, should we dance?''

'' Try again Ketchum.''

'' May we dance?'' Ash tried.

'' Of course.'' Dawn dragged him onto the dance floor.

Right now, the sounds of '' We found love '' could be heard throughout Pallet town.

'' So, I haven't seen you for a while. How've you been?'' Dawn asked, Ash's hands on her waist.

'' Pretty well actually. I'm a Frontier Brain now if you haven't heard.''

'' Oh, I know. I watched your interview with Marion. Can you show it to me?''

'' Show you what?''

Dawn giggled and cocked her head to the side. '' The Battle Fortress silly.''

'' I can't just show it to yo-

Dawn grabbed his by the shirt kissing him passionately. '' How about now?'' she asked.

'' I- I'll get my coat'' Ash stuttered, somehow both shocked, confused and excited.

'' Wow, so this is it?''

'' Yeah. Not bad right?'' Ash asked.

Ash had, per Dawn's request, taken her to see the Battle Fortress. Thankfully they had at least two hours free as Ash's best man speech wasn't due until then, same with Dawn's joint maid of honor speech with May.

The fortress itself looked exactly how one would picture a fortress. The area itself was not surrounded by water, however there was a drawbridge with a pokeball painted on the front. Inside, there was a large battling area with keystone structures scattered throughout the area. There were also large stands which according to Ash, could easily hold 1000 people.

However, behind one of the trainer platforms was a door which led into a small apartment that Ash had had Charles Goodshow make for him as part of Ash's contract.

'' I'll say, can we…go in?''

'' Sure. Hold on'' Ash twisted a rock next to him, and the Battle Fortress' drawbridge slammed to the ground with an audible thud.

'' M'lady'' Ash smiled, bowing.

'' What a gentleman'' Dawn blushed, entering the area.

As she entered, Dawn gasped at its sheer size. '' Ash, its huge.''

'' Yeah, minor architectural misunderstanding. When I said I wanted it to be big enough to make myself and pikachu look like durants, the head architect took it too literally.''

'' I can see, so what else is here?''

'' The Ketchum cave.''

'' Excuse me?''

'' Follow me'' Ash winked, beckoning Dawn to follow him through the door.

When Dawn entered, she was surprised as to how small it was. It consisted of a small kitchenette, two arm chairs, a couch, tv on the wall, entertainment center, a bathroom that only contained a toilet, basin and a shower. Ash's bedroom itself also only contained a murphy bed, two wooden crates that served as nightstands and an old closet.

'' Ash?''

'' Yeah?''

'' Are you poor?''

'' No, well, I mean, I don't earn as much as Noland or Great that's for sure, why?''

'' Look at this place. It's a pile of garbage. You know what? The battle Frontier is inter-regional and it operates in the Sinnoh region too. You're coming there.''

'' Why? Kanto's my home. If I leave here then I leave Gary, Brock, Misty, Lance, my colleagues and my mom.''

'' Ash. You're being taken for granted since you're so young and aren't well versed in business tactics. Come to Sinnoh with me. I have an extra bedroom.''

'' I don't know…''

'' Ash, Sinnoh has a pokemon League, I should know since I'm a top coordinator. SInnoh's battle frontier is understaffed and someone with as much experience as you do is a shoo-in for the position of frontier brain.''

"…'''

'' Also my bathroom doesn't have black mold.''

''Deal! Hold on-hello?'' Ash dug out his phone, winced for a few seconds before hanging up.

'' Who's that?''

'' Brock. We better move, our speeches are in 10 minutes.''

And scene. So listen, I will be uploading but much less frequently since I have finals. But I assure you there's no need to worry.
