Plus a refresher would be nice after so many years./span/strong/p

My brother was very likely to be awake now, and I'm unsure if I can explain how I got groceries. "I could just tell him the truth," I thought to myself. But, what is the truth? I don't even know how I became Pokémon. I bit my lip and climbed out of the car. I came to the door with the groceries in my arms. I had the keys in my paws and tried singling out the house key from the rest. After almost dropping them and swearing like a maniac, I managed to put the key into the keyhole. I tried turning it, but it wouldn't budge. "Arceus and all that is holy! Just fucking turn!" /spanstrong id="docs-internal-guid-8be6d25d-7fff-dfba-dd02-087dc1253e3a" style="font-weight: normal;"/strong/p

"Yes!" I shouted. I burst through the door and sighed in relief. I trudged to the kitchen and set the groceries down. I began to put the groceries away when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. My brother came in, crusty-eyed, shirtless, wearing only basketball shorts. "...Ruby? Wait, no Ruby isn't as tall...and doesn't wear clothes. You're the other one, aren't you?" asked my brother. I began to feel nervous. I didn't want my brother to know that I was a Typhlosion. I didn't know how to react. My brother went towards the groceries set on the counter and started to look through them. He pulled out a box of his favorite cereal from one of the grocery bags to prepare a bowl. It seems like he's more concerned with eating than knowing who I am. I finished up putting away the groceries and cleaning up while Rick finished up eating. Every now and then, I would catch him watching me as I tidied the kitchen. /span/p

Rick might get on my nerves a lot, but I knew he wasn't an idiot. It was only a matter of time before he figured out that I wasn't an actual pokemon. I was about done with cleaning when Rick got from the table, leaving his dirty bowl and mess behind. Out of habit, I said, "get your ass back here and cle…" I caught myself too late. Rick did come back and with a shit-eating grin on his face. "I fucking knew it. Leo? Is that actually you?" he asked, stepping closer. I turned to face away; there wasn't really any point in hiding. I gave myself away in such a dumb way. Defeated, I grumbled, "Yeah, it's me." /span/p

I mean, you were putting everything away precisely the way you like it. You're even wearing your old clothes." I didn't respond. There was no point in putting up the charade, so I prepared my own bowl of cereal and sat down. Rick continued, "wait, so what happened? Why are you a typhlosion now?" /span/p

Rick made a tch sound, picked up his bowl, and simply rinsed his bowl and placed it on the dish rack. He turned around, awaiting the response. I shook my head and said, "I don't know." He immediately said, "what do you mean you don't know?! What, did you just magically wake up as a typhlosion?" I nodded, and with a mouthful of cereal, I said, "yup, day afta ya lef I woke like this." Most of the food fell out of my mouth while trying to talk and back into my bowl. Eating without lips has been a bit rough the last few days. I continued eating as I heard Rick mumble, "gross."/span/p

I'll have to ask her about it later. Rick continued, "what about work? You're obviously not a business trip and they called yesterday asking for you." "Ugh don't remind me. I've been using my sick days since this happened and if I don't figure out something quick I'm going to get fired," I complained./span/p

Rick asked. I paused, it wasn't a bad idea. "I could if I had papers and material that are at the office," I said. "I mean I could get them for you," he said. "Yeah, you totally should do that! I'll call the office and tell them we have a family emergency or something. Then you go and pick up the stuff I need." I said excitedly. Finally a solution in the sea of problems I've recently gotten. Rick smirked and on his way out of the kitchen said, "you're welcome. You owe me now." Even though he couldn't see I rolled my eyes and said, "oh of course, how about I let you keep living here rent-free?" He dismissed my comment with a wave of his hand and headed upstairs. I shook my head and smiled to myself, "thank Arcues for that idiot."/span/p
