Chapter 2 – The Insane World
Yuuga let out a heavy sigh while sitting on his bed after Sona left.
He could follow what was going on. However, he still couldn't believe that he became a Devil's slave right after he reincarnated.
It was ironic for he was being reincarnated just to become a slave once again.
If there was a way to escape from that fate, he would take it without thinking twice. Unfortunately, it seemed impossible at the moment.
"Maybe I can become strong and rebel against Sona in the future? It seems possible. However, the problem is her sister, Serafall Leviathan. If I kill the younger sister of Satan, surely I will be hunted by elite forces. Or worse, the Satan herself who will be hunting me. Damn it! What should I do?"
He kept thinking about his plan for the future. If he wanted to run and hide from the Devils, he at least needed to find some allies that he could trust.
"If only my friends are here. Wait. Are they reincarnated too? I want to find them if they are come to this world, too. But if they are reincarnated as other people while not having the memory of their old lives, it will be hard to find them."
He sighed once again as he knew the chance of them could help him was slim to non-existent.
Because even if they were reincarnated just like he did, it would still possible that they didn't carry the memory of their old lives. Moreover, there was a possibility that they were reincarnated as normal humans. So he couldn't just come and ruin their peaceful lives.
And so, he quickly pushed aside the idea.
Another thing that came to his mind was Stray Devils that as mentioned by Sona earlier. Maybe he could try to find another Stray Devils and cooperate with them. However, he was not sure that they could be trusted.
"Can I escape from being a Devil's slave?"
Giving up on thinking, he cast away the problem with the Devil for now.
Then, he began thinking about his reincarnation.
He couldn't remember about him dying in his old life. He just remembered that he was waiting for the YGGDRASIL to shut down while he was still log in. Although there was a possibility that he died while he was playing YGGDRASIL.
"Could it be a heart attack? Or an accident? Or maybe a robber killed me? But I can't imagine why someone wanted to rob my place. I am poor, after all. And there's no way that someone wanted me dead. No. That possibility still exists. But, the real question is how I can be reincarnated in another world? Is it the God in this world who did it? But, why?"
He kept thinking for fifteen minutes. However, he still couldn't figure out anything.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice could be heard calling his name.
{Hey, can you hear me?}
The voice sounded like it belonged to a female. The voice was beautiful which gave a pleasant feeling for anyone who heard it. But, it wasn't the case for Yuuga right now.
He quickly reacted as he jumped from his bed and took a defensive stance.
"Who is that!?"
{There's no need to scream. I am talking with you using telepathy. You can try it by concentrating on your words. Imagine that you are talking in your thoughts but with someone as your conversation partner.}
"A telepathy? Ah! Damn it! What is it again?! This is too much for the first day in the new world!"
To gained some information, Yuuga decided to do what the voice told him so he could talk with her.
{Test. Test. Can you hear me?}
{Excellent! Well, with your power I think it is to be expected that you can do it on the first try.}
Yuuga seemed confused at her words. Then, she recalled what Sona said about him.
{With my power? Am I really that talented as a Devil?}
The owner of the voice chuckled a bit before she answered Yuuga's question.
{You are worse than Devil in my eyes. Forget about that. For now, I wish to talk with you face to face. Can you please lay down on your bed, then close your eyes as you want to meditate?}
{Why should I do that? What reason I must trust you? I bet you will kill me when I close my eyes. And don't say that I'm worse than Devil! It hurts me!}
{You are too cautious! Even the original Lucifer was not this cautious!}
{It's my nature. Unlike Lucifer who was strong, I am weak, after all.}
Indeed. The world he once lived in was a harsh world where he will be screwed just by doing one mistake.
For a weak person like him, he couldn't disrespect strong people with higher status.
He couldn't leave single dust on the floor or he will be fired and couldn't find another job for his life.
He must always be on guard while walking outside or some thieves would rob him and no one would care to help him.
That was why he was so cautious.
The owner of the voice sighed tiredly. Not long after, she began to talk again.
{You don't need to worry. I am a being who resides inside your Sacred Gear. I am the Majestic Immortal Bird. The one who everyone calls Phoenix.}
Silenced filled the room after her declaration. And then,
"EHHHHHH!?"
The shock was too great. The news was so sudden that it almost made Yuuga pop out his eyes.
{I told you already, no need to scream.}
{How could I not!? You came from nowhere, talking inside my head, then you claim yourself as that legendary bird!}
And then, something forced Yuuga to come back into his calm state.
Although he was curious about a mysterious power that kept forcing him to calm down, he decided to put that aside and focus on the owner of the voice for now.
As he calmed down, his cautiousness kicked in once again.
{However, there's a possibility that you lie to me. Show me the proof that you are indeed the Phoenix who is inside my Sacred Gear.}
The owner of the voice replied,
{I can see the things you see and I can hear any sounds that you hear in the outside realm. It is because I am inside your body. However, if you want concrete proof, then do what I said earlier. Lie down on your bed, and meditate.}
Now, Yuuga had two options.
If he followed her words, there was a chance to know whether she lied or not. However, if she turned out to be someone that wanted to kill him, his life would be in a danger.
In another case when he refused, then he would never gain information about her identity. However, his chance of survival would rise as he could always be on guard of his surroundings.
After thinking for a while, he decided to follow her advice.
His reason was that even he could always be on guard, his chance of survival would still be low if she was a great assassin or a powerful individual. Also, he was so curious about her identity.
He laid down on his bed and said something to her before he closed his eyes.
{If you kill me, then you will face a risk of being hunted by a Sitri Clan, who has Satan as their backup. The heir of Sitri Clan, Sona Sitri, had promised that she will provide my needs, including my safety.}
{You do not like being an underling of that Devil, yet you use her name as protection. You are a hypocrite. Just be quiet and close your eyes so I can show myself to you!}
After he listened to her rumbling, Yuuga closed his eyes.
Yuuga felt like he was flying. When he opened his eyes, he found himself moving in a dark passage until he saw a white sphere in front of him.
He entered the sphere then found himself in an empty place with a violet sky.
No clouds and stars could be seen in the sky. It was just an empty sky.
While he wondering where he was, a voice could be heard from his back and greet him.
"Welcome."
It was the same voice as the one who talked with him using telepathy.
He turned his body towards the voice and then, he could see it.
There was a golden bird standing on a large white podium.
It had a head, legs, and a body that looked like an eagle, a tail of peafowl, and a pair of giant wings of a peregrine falcon.
The bird was large, and its height was around 40 meters. It looked majestic and beautiful with a small amount of fiery aura surrounding its entire body. And its sapphire-colored eyes showed a great power as they gazed at Yuuga.
Yuuga couldn't do anything but being silent.
He was afraid of the bird, as he thought that it could kill him with ease if it wanted to. However, at the same time, he couldn't help but admire its beauty.
"Why you are so quiet? Are you surprised to find that I was telling the truth about my identity?"
Her question made Yuuga came back to reality.
"Are you really a Phoenix? I thought Phoenix is red."
"Where did you learn that? That's not true. However, let's put that aside from now. Before we continue, I want you to look at yourself in the mirror. It's on your right side."
Yuuga was shocked as he looked on his right side.
A mirror suddenly appeared, but that wasn't the cause of his shock.
From the mirror, he could see a reflection of a tall man.
The man's skin was so pale. He had red blood eyes that looked like they could see the soul itself. He had black hair that was tied in a ponytail as he was wearing a black light armor that was so black as it was cut from the night sky itself. On his head sat a black crown which had a sinister aura around it like it was a crown taken from the deepest of Hel. He also wore a black necklace with a dark purple pendant, a pair of black metallic gauntlets, and boots.
"Ehhhh?!"
Without any delay, he quickly checked on himself.
He could see the same gauntlets, the same boots, the same necklace, and the same armor as the reflection wore.
"T-This is a body of Karzala. This is my avatar in YGGDRASIL. Is this reincarnation thing only a dream?"
The mirror disappeared and Phoenix spoke to him.
"I assure you, this is not a dream. Also, you're not reincarnated into this world."
Phoenix's words made him curious. So he asked her the meaning of the words.
She explained,
"To answer your question, let me tell you my history first. Before I was sealed in a Sacred Gear, I was always be hunted by humans and other supernatural beings because of my ability that can regenerate bodies and magic power. So, they wanted to use me for their personal gain. After many years of being hunted, the God of the Bible descended from Heaven and helped me by hiding myself in Eden. To paid my gratitude to Him, I always sang a song whenever the artificial sun in Eden rises. I became –"
"I don't care about any of that. Just tell me the meaning of your words earlier."
His retort cut her story as he was staring at her with his sharp gaze.
Phoenix realized her mistake and quickly apologize.
"I'm sorry. I got carried away. But, let me continue my story. I can only live for 1,500 years and whenever I die, I will always be revived instantly. However, those deaths pained me. Because of that, God took pity on me and advised me to be sealed inside a Sacred Gear. I agreed to be sealed inside of Sacred Gear so I won't feel the pain of death. However, I was asleep just the moment I was sealed and only awoken today. And the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes is you. It happened in a blink of an eye, but I clearly saw you absorbing the soul of a young male. The soul had an appearance of your body in the outside realm. Which means, you absorbed the soul of Haneda Yuuga and replacing his existence in this world."
A deep silence filled the whole place after he learned the shocking truth.
He couldn't believe it. The event that he thought of as a reincarnation actually was something bigger than that, and more sinister.
After some time passed, he managed to calm down with the help of a mysterious power.
"So, you're telling me that Haneda Yuuga is no more, and I replace his existence in this world by killing him?"
His voice was a bit shaking as he still felt a massive shock.
"Yes."
"You're not lying, are you?"
"I never tell a single lie, even until today. If I tell a lie, one of my power which can make anyone can't lie when they are near me will be gone."
It was then he sure that Phoenix didn't lie to him. A wry smile could be seen on his face as he realized the truth.
"So, I'm stealing someone's life. This form you see is an avatar created in a fake world, but I carry the personality and memory of my real self in my previous world. And after I came to this world, I also possess the memory of Haneda Yuuga. How that can happen?"
This time, it was Phoenix's turn to be quiet. She closed her eyes as she was thinking about something.
Then,
"That is so complex. However, I have a personal theory for your situation. Will you hear it?"
"Yes."
He just answered with a simple word like he didn't care to form his words anymore.
The Phoenix realized that he was feeling down, but still told him her theory nonetheless.
"I think your original soul moved into the thing you called 'avatar' that I'm seeing right now. Then, the avatar transferred to this world and became something close to a soul. Because it had no destination, it flew to Haneda's Yuuga body and absorbed his soul by accident. As a result, you carry the mind and personality of yourself in your previous world, but you have a form of the avatar from a fake world you mentioned. Then, you possess the memory of Haneda Yuuga, yet his mind and personality are nowhere to be seen. By the way, the reason why I said that you absorbed Haneda Yuuga's soul by accident is that you don't remember any of it."
After hearing her theory, all negative feelings seemed to vanish from his heart as he put his gaze at Phoenix.
"I see. That is the best answer for now. But, who am I now?"
Phoenix chuckled as she heard the question.
"In my opinion, you are yourself. It is your choice now about who you will become. Will you become yourself from your previous world? You of the fake world? Or Haneda Yuuga?"
Her words made him think.
He carried the mind of Kirishima Satoshi. His form was of Karzala in YGGDRASIL. And he possessed the memory of Haneda Yuuga.
All inside a body of a young male which was belong to Haneda Yuuga's soul that he absorbed.
It was too complicated. So he only answered with,
"For now, I will just live under Haneda Yuuga's name. However, you can call me whatever you want."
"I see. Then, should I call you with the name Karzala in this place?"
"Yes, if you're talking with me in this space. However, you shall call me with the name of Haneda Yuuga when you are talking with me in the outside realm. I have to keep my circumstance as a secret for now."
"I understand, Karzala. It is nice to meet you. Considering that I'm inside your Sacred Gear now, you can count me as an ally. Although, I admit it is kinda funny to become an ally of a creature of darkness while I was quite close to the God in the past."
He just responded to her words with a small nod.
At first, he thought it was bad to steal someone's life. However, that feeling was now gone.
He felt sorry for the real Haneda Yuuga, but he just couldn't commit suicide. Death is something that he feared, after all.
Moreover, from Yuuga's memory, this Earth was still beautiful with no pollution on the planet.
The society also still intact unlike the harsh one in his old world.
And so, he would use this chance to enjoy his new life on a beautiful Earth, even when he still didn't know about his standing in this world.
For that dream to come true, first, he needed to escape from the fate of being a slave.
"It's nice to meet you too. I will be in your care from now on. Now, please answer all my questions. First –"
Although he didn't fully trust her, she was the only perfect source for information right now.
She couldn't lie and had live in this world for so long.
And he would exploit those traits to gain knowledge about everything that he wanted to know.
Phoenix was ready to answer any of his questions.
Of course, being just awoken from her deep slumber, she didn't know anything after she was sealed in a Sacred Gear except for the things that she learned when he was talking with Sona.
The first thing he asked was this world's inhabitants.
Aside from humans, supernatural beings existed without most of the humans knowing about them.
In addition to the Three Biblical Factions which consisted of Heaven Force, Devils, and Fallen Angels, there were also Norse Faction, Olympus Faction, Hindu Faction, Buddhas, Egypt Faction, Zoroastrianism Faction, Shinto Faction, and more.
Moreover, there were also other supernatural beings like Youkai, Fairy, Elf, and other fantasy creatures.
Knowing the truth, she cursed Sona because she reincarnated him as a Devil. This world was so dangerous if you lived as a supernatural being.
If Sona didn't reincarnate him, he probably wouldn't aware of supernatural things and would continue living peacefully in this world as a human.
However, Phoenix told him that living peacefully was impossible for him, even as a human.
It was because of the Sacred Gear.
The possessor of Sacred Gear would be dragged into supernatural life sooner or later. Just like Sona dragged him by reincarnating him as a Devil.
Knowing the fact made him upset. To think that Sacred Gears were both a curse and a blessing.
However, he soon calmed down and realized that it would be no use to cry over spilled milk.
Moreover, Phoenix said that those factions most likely wouldn't wage war on each other unless something really bad happened.
If a war waged between all factions, then there was a chance that this world will be destroyed. They didn't want to destroy this world as all factions needed it as their home.
Besides, every faction had its own circumstances. Which made them didn't want to bother with other factions.
To maintained the status quo, they made a non-aggression pact and agreed to share territories on Earth.
He was grateful knowing the fact that those factions would not come into conflict unless something drastic happened. Although he was curious why those supernatural beings only set their eyes on Earth when there were many planets out there, he didn't ask anything about it.
Then, he moved to the next question. A question to knew about himself.
"Say, Phoenix. Can I use the abilities of this avatar in the outside realm?"
To answer the question, Phoenix gave him an explanation.
"You can. I can see that the link which connects the body and the soul of yours had changed. Your link does not only act as a connector now. But, it also tied the power of the avatar and the body. So, please be careful. If your body dies, then your avatar will perish after two seconds. I don't know the reason for it, though."
He felt joy as he heard that he could use his avatar's abilities, but the latter information made his heart shrunk. However, there were things that made him curious at the same time.
"Wait. Will soul not perish when the body dies?"
"It won't. Usually, if the body dies, then the soul will stay under the protection of the Soul's Sphere for 10 seconds before the sphere disappears and the soul flies to the Afterlife. Because if it doesn't go to Afterlife, then the soul has a possibility to be destroyed as the soul is weak and fragile. I can revive even if I die because my body will resurrect itself instantly, even if it is destroyed completely."
"Will my Ring of Instant Revival works? If it doesn't, then I will be screwed," he thought.
Then, he asked the crucial information as it was his only hope.
"Say, Phoenix. Is your ability to revive yourself passed down to the Sacred Gear?"
"Sadly, no. The abilities of the Sacred Gear I reside in are self-regeneration, Phoenix's Fire manipulation, the ability to regenerate others, and the ability to fly. My self-resurrection is not included because the link that connects the wielder and the Sacred Gear prevents that. The God made it works like that so my abilities won't disturb the Sacred Gear System."
A silence occurred for a moment before he went rage with a black aura that wrapped his whole body.
"Insolent God! Damn you!"
He couldn't control himself after hearing the reason. He couldn't believe that God did something outrageous because of a selfish reason.
Disturbing the system? He didn't care about that.
"Stupid God! If you want to bestow a miracle, then do it fully!"
It was great that he could use his YGGDRASIL's abilities with the body of Haneda Yuuga. However, the consequence was too much for him. And his only hope was sealed because God desired so.
Hearing him cursing the God, Phoenix frowned and felt anger which was directed at him.
"Karzala! Don't say such words to God! I may not take side with Heaven, but I still respect Him for saving me. I know you have a part of Devil in you, but please don't do that in front of me!"
After his anger disappeared, he looked at Phoenix and bowed his head to her.
"I'm sorry. It is just too much for me to take. So, my condition right now is like a Sacred Gear. It is both a gift and a curse."
"Indeed. I forgive you. Just please don't do that again."
"Thank you very much. Hearing that I can use this avatar's abilities makes me want to test them. But, I forget about non-offensive low-tier abilities because I don't use them anymore. If only I can open the menu right now."
The reason he didn't want to use offensive abilities was that he didn't have a place to do it. If he tested offensive abilities inside the house, he was sure that it would create a mess.
He could experiment with middle-tier and high-tier abilities, but he didn't want to take a risk. There was a possibility that other supernatural beings could feel the energy of those abilities, after all.
"Even though I don't know what you mean by 'open the menu', I advise you to try it in here. Maybe I can't step out from this podium as this is a form of the Sacred Gear in this place. However, God had bestowed me a power so I and the possessor of my Sacred Gear can do almost anything inside this realm. It is because I asked him to do that so I can enjoy the fruits of Eden, even when I am sealed inside a Sacred Gear. You remember how I produced a mirror, don't you?"
Her words made him interested as he showed a smile to Phoenix.
"Oh? What is this place really?"
The Phoenix gave him a beautiful laugh as she responded,
"This is a realm where the soul resides within a body. The Soul's Sphere. That's why I am here. Sacred Gears are connected to the wielder's soul, after all. Now, please try to do anything you want. Just imagine what do you want to do. It will surely be easy for you."
As she felt that she was done helping him, she created some fruits that he never saw in his life. He thought that those fruits might be the fruits of Eden.
He was curious about their tastes, but he got something more important to do right now.
Following Phoenix's words, he imagined a YGGDRASIL menu popped out in front of him.
As Phoenix said, a digital window that looked like a YGGDRASIL menu appeared.
"Hoo? It really works. Now, let's see."
He didn't open the Ability List immediately. It was because he was curious about his items and golds.
When he checked Inventory, he could see that all of the items and golds were with him. The items that were taken by him from the Storage Room in his Clan Base were also there.
After that, he checked all sections of the menu. The only thing that missing was Game Setting, Cash Shop, GM Call, and Log Out.
"Well, it is not a game anymore," he thought while smiling.
Then, he found something outrageous when he opened Player Status.
"Eh?"
He rubbed his eyes multiple times as he didn't believe the information on the window. However, it seemed he read the information correctly as it didn't change even after he rubbed his eyes and blinked several times.

He was screaming as the realization came out of his mind. The scream was so loud that even made Phoenix flinched.
"What's wrong? Why are you screaming so loud?"
Something – that he assumed as Passive Skill [Emotion Suppressor] – forced him to calm down as it judged that he was feeling too much emotion.
"No, it is nothing. Don't worry about it," said him with a calm voice.
After that, Phoenix chose to ignore him and continued to enjoy the fruits she made.
He did a re-check of his status and found that he was seeing the truth.
He also learned that his stats were improved and he gained 12 attribute points. Moreover, he also still had EXP that he accumulated when he reached the maximum level. Right now, he was sure that he could distribute EXP to the Class he chose.
A joy sparked in his heart for a while, until he had a thought about something that made him scared.
"Wait. Is the level cap raised or just not exist in this world? If this world has no level cap, what if Level 100 is just fodder? What if there's a being with Level 10,000? With just ten levels difference, the battle will be very difficult for the lower level. If it's 99,900 levels difference, it's not a battle anymore. Even the word massacre is not enough to describe it!"
His body began shaking because of fear, in which [Emotion Suppressor] tried to calm him down repeatedly.
His gaze was locked into Phoenix who was curious why he felt fear. Then, he asked,
"Phoenix, what is your level of power?"
"Hmm? I don't really know. I rarely fight and just fly away from people who hunted me."
He quickly opened a shortcut where his support abilities were there. He then clicked a Skill called [Knowledge From The Gate] with Phoenix as the target.
[Knowledge From The Gate] was a skill from Gate Knight which had the ability to scan information about the target. The information was including Total Level, Racial Classes, Job Classes, Name, Karma Value, and Overall Status.
"「Knowledge From The Gate」"
Automatically, his mouth chanted the name of the Skill. He thought that it was a change for a notification in YGGDRASIL.
In YGGDRASIL, when Players used a Skill or a Spell, the name of the ability would appear on top of their head as a notification. It was implemented because of the existence of Meta Magic called Silent Magic which could hide the information about their magic's name.
The Players who couldn't use magic asked the Devs to delete that feature though. It was because they thought it was unfair for them who didn't have a way to hide the name of their skills. Of course, those shitty Devs rejected their pleas.
He could clearly feel his HP depleting as the Skill activated. It made him hurt a little like he was bitten by a mosquito.
A window appeared and showed the information about Phoenix.
"Hmm. Level 137. Her karma is Neutral. I thought it will be Good since she lived in Heaven once. But, why all of her stats are so absurdly low except her MP and Special Ability?"
Phoenix was indeed strong if one judged by her level. However, her low stats made him curious. He then got his answer after thinking for a while.
"Ah. The one in front of me is just a soul. She said that a soul is weak and fragile. That's why all of her stats are so low. However, now I know that this world is dangerous if I'm not grinding for EXP to level up. But, how can I grind EXP? Where I can grind to gain EXP? I must find the information about monsters' whereabout, or my chance of survival will be low to non-existent because I can't grind EXP."
By looking at Phoenix's level, he now could determine that the possibility of beings that were Level 10,000 was slim and the level cap was just raised in this world. However, he didn't want to let his guard down.
His theory could also be wrong, after all.
After he closed the window, he continued checking the menu by opening Ability List and stumbled upon a Passive Skill called [Soul Absorption].
If his knowledge was right, [Soul Absorption] was a Passive Ability from Chaos Master. It was a Skill that gave bonus EXP after he defeated the enemy.
However, an unknown feeling made him curious about this Skill that led him into checking its effect.
How shock he was when he found out the effect had changed.
Aside from giving him bonus EXP, now it could also absorb the soul of the target. The power to absorb a soul could be used by his will, too. And because it was a Passive Skill, it wouldn't need any HP, MP, or EXP to activated it.
"Okay. This is a broken Skill. Yes. A truly broken one. By absorbing the soul of the target, I can gain bonus EXP and steal things that their soul possesses. For example, their Racial and Job Classes. And this Skill could even bypass the protection of the Soul's Sphere too! This is insane! This world is insane!"
Yes. The Skill had undergone an insane change.
Although he could only steal two Racial and Job Classes from the soul he absorbed, it was still a broken ability considering it was a Passive Skill even if he wouldn't gain the level of the being's soul he absorbed.
No. Even if it was not a Passive Skill, an ability to steal Racial and Job Classes, as well as gaining bonus EXP, would still be broken.
The only restriction was he couldn't steal any Racial Classes or any Job Classes that were opposite of his karma value. So, he couldn't gain Paladin Class or became a part-Angel.
[Soul Absorption] would destroy the balance of the game if its effect was the same as it was in this world.
"Well. It's not a game anymore. But, why this is happening? This Skill has evolved and become a stronger version of itself. Can I really accept this? What will happen if I have so many Racial Classes? Will I be considered as a Chimera?"
If he had so many different Racial Classes by absorbing souls – including their memory – of others, he thought that he wouldn't be himself anymore.
That Skill was like a way to told him that his existence was an error in this world.
One personality with many memories from different beings. He would have no identity if he used the Skill frequently. That was he thought.
Doubting his existence made him felt a headache even if he was an Undead.
To healed it, he decided to continue to check all of his abilities.
Unfortunately, his action just made it worse as he found out that some other abilities also had undergone a massive change.
The bright side was those changes were not bad. To tell the truth, those changes really benefited him. The thing he didn't like was that he needed to re-learn about their effects.
He then created a comfortable sofa and sat on it as he tried to re-learn his abilities in the next hours.
"My head hurts. As an Undead, I can't feel any fatigue. But trying to remember so many things in one go makes me tired mentally. It looks like my former humanity is still intact somehow."
It was already 10.00 AM on Sunday when he opened his eyes in the outside realm.
As he was using his time to re-learned all of his abilities, he also learned that he couldn't equip a weapon in the realm inside the Soul's Sphere.
He also had experimented with the level cap by distributing all of his EXP to Chaos Mage.
It gave his Chaos Mage one additional level, making him a Level 105 being.
If it was in YGGDRASIL, the maximum level of the highest prestige Class would be five. But with level cap gone or raised in this world, he thought that he could level up his Chaos Mage above five. And his assumption was proven right.
His stats increased because of level up. Especially for his magical stats because he just leveling up his magic-type class.
And after he leveled up, he had 15 Attribute Points which he had distributed 8 points to Intelligence, 5 points to Strength, and 2 points to Constitution.
Thanks to that, his stats were increased more.
As a former Player who sought power for PvP and PvE, he couldn't help but smiled as he saw his stats improved.
Moreover, he didn't need to worry about his Vampire Racial Class. The penalties and almost all the traits were still the same like they were in a game.
However, his weakness to Holy and Light had doubled because he gained a Devil Racial Class. Moreover, he would receive some damages if he prayed or entered holy places.
Though there were other things he needed to worry about.
The first was the penalty of Gate Knight.
[Gate Corruption] would make him unable to control himself for 66 minutes if he failed to kill his targetted enemy within 13 minutes in a battle.
In YGGDRASIL, there was an AI to read the brain's algorithm so it could know when he was targeting 'the enemy' for battle.
As an example, if he was targeting five monsters for battle, then the AI would know immediately and started the countdown for [Gate Corruption] to be activated. As such, he must kill those five monsters before the countdown ended.
He couldn't reset the penalty by changing the target. If he was targeting another entity when his first target was still alive, it would only result in him adding the target.
However, there was a way to prevented the penalty to be activated. It was to stay still for 3 minutes.
The 3 minutes period was called [Returning the Power to The Gate].
During the period, he must not attack the enemy, defending from the enemy, debuffing the enemy, buffing himself, or healing himself. He also couldn't take out items and changing equipment. If he did, then the period would be reset while the countdown of [Gate Corruption] would be still going.
Of course, he couldn't prevent [Gate Corruption] if the countdown had already passed 10 minutes.
Not to said that staying still without doing anything for 3 minutes was a dangerous move.
The danger could be reduced when he had a party to support him. However, he wouldn't have that luxury in one-on-one PvP or hunting solo.
Fortunately, he didn't need to worry about enemies below Level 60.
Because of [High-tier Physical Immunity], 'the Gate' had decided that anything below Level 60 was not worthy to be considered as an enemy.
As a result, he gained a Passive Skill named [Know Your Stand] that would prevent the activation of [Gate Corruption] if he stumbled across beings that were below Level 60 in a battle.
The second thing he needed to worry about was his True Vampire's trait.
Usually, an Undead like himself couldn't feel any strong emotions. But it was not the case for True Vampire.
For lore purpose, they who became True Vampire must choose one of the seven emotions that they could feel like the living would. And those seven emotions were inspired by seven deadly sins.
If a True Vampire strongly followed their chosen emotion, there was a chance for them to not be able to control themselves for 72 minutes.
An example was an NPC of Ainz Ooal Gown, Shalltear Bloodfallen. Her chosen emotion was Lust. And so, she could feel lust normally by the lore.
For him, it was Envy.
Because of the changes in this world, the lore itself became real and he could lose control of himself if he was jealous of something.
He must control his jealousy without the help of [Emotion Supression] as it wouldn't suppress his Envy.
After his mental fatigue gone, he decided to go into the next step.
It was to find a way to took items in the outside realm and to test some of his abilities.
His long-term goal now was to escape from being a Devil's slave and live peacefully. And so, he thought to stay quiet for now while looking for information he needed to achieve that goal.
And to found out about his abilities was just the beginning.

Note for Power Chart:
- Sometimes, characters level doesn't match their Status if they have a way to buff themselves. For example, If Issei uses Balance Breaker, he can have a Status equal to Level 60 while he actually is Level 40.
- Sirzechs and Ajuka in normal mode is Level 133 – 135. However, most of their Status in "True Form" is equal to Level 177 – 180.
- I add "ArchDevil" for Falbium Asmodeus and Serafall Leviathan as they are said to be stronger than the original Satans.
