Chapter 29 A Space Oddity
A.N. – Okay, so now the Lyoko Warriors will now enter space. Also, one reviewer suggested an extended duel in this chapter between Aelita and Ulrich. So, that will be the only major change to this episode. Also, to everyone, STOP ASKING ME TO DO EVOLUTION! IT WILL NOT HAPPEN! IF SOMEONE WANTS TO DO IT AFTER I FINISH, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! PSA over. Also, read the AN's that I write. Someone wrote a review that I was late, and I was on vacation AND said this could come out in two weeks. PSA #2 over. On to the chapter.

"This is it!" Odd bursts into Jeremy's room. "It's the end of the world!" Everyone turns to him.
"Let me guess, no spaghetti and meatballs?" William asks.
"Almost as bad!" Odd shuts the door behind him. "I just ran into Jim and Delmas, and they're making a surprise inspection of the dorms!"
"But didn't they make one a few weeks ago?" Aelita blinks, slightly surprised.
"Yeah, but this time, they're looking for appliances that could be fire hazards!"
"So what? There's nothing dangerous here," Jeremy gestures to his room. "No appliances, not even an electric kettle."
"I know, but the problem is, what do we do with Kiwi?" Odd gestures to him.
"Do we have enough time to take him to the factory before math?" Aelita asks curiously.
"In 10 minutes?" Jeremy looks at his watch.
"Anyway, I wouldn't want to leave them alone in that cold factory! Kiwi hasn't been himself lately," Odd gets onto his knees to beg. "It's all over! He's gonna end up at the pound, or worse, in some traveling circus strapped to a rocket and shot out of a cannon!"
"I would be concerned for yourself. You could get suspended, or worse, expelled!" William tells him.
"Unless…Yumi, you don't have class for another hour. Could you, uh…" He giggles sheepishly at her.
"Don't even think about it!" She warns him.
"Yumi, please. You're his only hope!" Odd gestures to him.
"The answer is no!"
"Ah, good old surprise inspections. I love 'em! They make even the cloudiest days sunny," Jim comments to the principal as he's holding a few appliances that have already been taking away. "Look at what we've already dug up! An electric coffee maker, an immersion heater, and a 12-person fondue set! It's like being a pioneer explorer. Let's see what we can come up with in Sissi's room. Although, I doubt it she would be hiding anything suspicious, I mean, being your daughter and everything. But let's look behind this door just in case. You never know. A hairdryer on the blink, a forgotten pack of matches, a curling iron invented by some crackpot scientist."
Jim opens up her closet to see pictures. One on her father's shoulders, one where they celebrated his birthday, and another when he was dressed as a penguin. This causes him to laugh. "I would never have guessed! For a stern school principal, you're a million laughs!"
Delmas just narrows his eyes.
"Please have pity on a poor, defenseless dog!" Odd pleads with Yumi.
"Odd!" Yumi yells back.
"Well?"
"You know if there's one thing my father can't stand, it's pets that shed their hair all over the house, chew up furniture, do their business…!" She looks away.
"Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty please!" He bows in front of her.
"Okay Odd, you win this time."
"Oh, thank you Yumi! Nothing can stop me from kissing you!" He leans forward and she puts a hand on his mouth.
"Well, I can!"
Jim and Delmas enter another hallway. "Okay Kiwi, get in. We're off" Yumi closes her backpack with Kiwi inside.
Jim and Delmas open the door. "Well, Ishiyama, Della Robbia, Dunbar, Belpois, and Stones. All together in the same dorm. They sure don't look like they're in a big hurry to get to class, do they?" Jim says.
"Well, I better be going" Yumi walks past casually.
She walks home and she tries to remember what Odd told her.
"Don't give him anything old to eat. Only steamed, organic vegetables. And no potato chips. He can't digest them. And no mustard whatever you do. And by the way, he hates household appliances like vacuum cleaners. The noise drives him nuts" Odd's voice echoes in her head.
"Okay, the coast is clear," Yumi lets Kiwi out once she's in her room. Kiwi starts barking and she shushes him. "If my dumb brother hears you, he's bound to say something like what's that ugly mutt doing here?"
Hiroki enters the room. "Hey, what's that ugly mutt doing here?"
"It's Kiwi, Odd's dog. Hiroki, promise you won't say anything."
"Okay, but promise you'll do my homework for a year."
"A day."
"A week."
"Three days."
"A deal."
"You're such a little crook, but I don't have a choice. I have to go to school. Look after him till I get back, okay?"
"Huh?"
"Oh, and don't give him any steamed vegetables. It seems he can only eat chips and mustard, got that?"
"Don't worry about a thing, uh, Leechie, I'll take good care of you."
The bell rings for classes to end and everyone leaves. Odd rushes all the way over to Yumi and William. "Oh, there you are Yumi. Well?"
"No seat. Hiroki's watching him" Yumi answers him.
"Hiroki? Are you nuts? Did you forget what happened to poor Jean-Pierre?"
"What? The principal?" William asks.
"No, he had a Tamagotchi that we gave to Hiroki, and he broke it" Aelita tells him. Everyone laughs remembering it.
"Oh, that is funny."
"I don't see what's so funny!" Odd pulls out his phone to call him.
"Odd, you don't need to call him" William tells him.
Hiroki's phone rings and he answers it. "Sorry, we've already got encyclopedia!"
"Wait a second, don't hang up Hiroki!" Odd stops him. "This is Odd."
"Don't worry! Everything is cool. Your dog is in good hands," he smiles as Kiwi is getting into the chips. "See ya!" Kiwi barks up at him. "Yeah, yeah, I know what you want. You want some more of these, okay. But I've got a surprise for you this time. These are chips with mustard!"
Kiwi barks happily as Hiroki gives him the bag.
"Nice to know you trust me Odd" Yumi deadpans to him.
"But you don't understand! Kiwi happens to be a very sensitive dog!" Odd responds.
Jeremy's laptop beeps. "Guess what everybody? The supercomputer has just picked up a new replica on the network."
"Rats, now we've gotta come up with a new excuse to get out of Chardin's class again" Yumi states, since she and William have been getting out of class multiple times.
"You won't be missing much. Except maybe a little nap" Odd tells her.
"I've gotta stop by the library, but I won't be long" Aelita explains to them.
"Well, you all know where to meet up!" Jeremy closes his laptop.
Later on, they all meet up at the factory. "I don't need to remind you that the more replicas we destroy the more we weaken Xana" Jeremy tells them.
Yumi, Aelita, and William all step into a scanner, while Odd waits. "Of course, you don't Einstein. And you don't have to remind us that if we can find the new supercomputer, we might be able to figure out what Xana's planning!" Odd states.
"You'd get straight A's if you were as good as that in school. Okay, get ready guys. Transfer Aelita. Transfer Yumi. Transfer William. Scanner Aelita. Scanner Yumi. Scanner William. Virtualization." One by one, they are virtualized to sector 5. "Virtualization." Odd virtualizes and lands near Yumi. "Everybody okay?"
"I'm good. As for Kiwi, I'm not so sure."
"Chill out Odd! He couldn't be in better hands" Yumi tells him.
Kiwi is going through the mustard chips bag, but it gets stuck on his head. He bumps into a chair, trying to shake the bag off. He runs around in a circle.
"Jeremy, we arrived at the skid" William reports as the elevator stops.
"Great. Get on your teleport spots," Jeremy tells them. They run onto the platforms. "Okay, here we go." They teleport into the spots, Aelita grabbing the levers. Odd, William, and Yumi all land in their navskids. "Prepare for liftoff. Release docking mechanism."
The mechanisms move away from the skid and Aelita pulls the levers. The ship flies into the air and through the exit door. She moves the skid over to the left.
"Immediately opening tunnel." Jeremy gets one of the tunnels to open and Aelita smirks a bit. She moves inside it and pulls the levers forward out over the digital sea.
"Ready to dive" Aelita reports.
The skid enters the digital sea. Jeremy taps the enter button.
"Holosphere system online. Aelita, I'm entering the coordinates of the new replica."
"Roger." The entrance to the network opens and they emerge into it. "Rotation." Aelita tilts a lever to the side so that the skid is now horizontal. "Powering turbo growth and auxiliary generators." The generators turn on and they head for the replica.
Hiroki is playing a video game as Kiwi runs around, barking. "A little patience Leechie, I'll play with you as soon as I finish this game." Kiwi runs around and hits the stairwell.
"What do you think it's gonna be this time around?" Aelita asks everyone.
"I have no idea" Jeremy responds.
"It might be a replica of the ice sector" Yumi comments to them.
"I'd like a relaxing mountain sector," William says next. "What about you, Odd?"
"I think I should have fed him more tofu kibbles!" Odd responds.
"Stay focused Odd" Jeremy warns him, but he can't stop thinking about Kiwi.
Hiroki pulls the bag off Kiwi's head. "Poor Leechie, those chips didn't agree with you. Hey, what do you say we play ball?"
They reach the replica sphere. "Replica in sight Jeremy" Aelita reports to him.
"Okay Aelita, I'll unlock the portal as soon as you're connected" Jeremy responds.
Aelita comes to a stop in front of the key. She moves the skid so that it's vertical and presses her hand across the interface. "Digital code entered." The beam of light shines from the front, touching the key for the replica.
"Just give me a minute or two and we'll see what this replica looks like… okay Aelita, I'm sending you the entry portal code." A few seconds later, the door opens. The skid flies inside it and the door close behind them. They emerge into a replica a few seconds later.
"What do you know? We were all wrong. Welcome to a replica of sector 5."
"I just spotted a tower in the core zone that can be reached from the North Pole. I'll guide you in so that you can get to it."
Gotcha Jeremy. You're in the driver's seat," Aelita replies as the ship emerges into the celestial dome. She moves over to the entrance that is normally for the skid in Lyoko. They emerge into a room where there's a way tower. "Nice piece of work. We're in a room like the ones in sector 5. Tower dead ahead. I'll take over from here."
"Okay Aelita, do your stuff."
She stops in front of the tower. "Skid dock."
"Perfect. Odd and Yumi, you wanna volunteer for teleportation?"
"Aye aye, captain Einstein!" Odd salutes to him.
"Would you give the bad jokes a rest Private? Brother and sister, you two-"
"Stay and guard. Same old routine" William interrupts.
"You guessed it. I'm activating the tower for our own use," he taps a button and the tower turns green. "Ready for teleportation?'
"Just say the word" Yumi smiles a bit.
"Teleportation," he taps enter and the two disappear. "Odd, Yumi, do you read me? Odd! Yumi!"
"We read you loud and clear Jeremy" Yumi reports a few seconds later.
"That's great! Well, which continent did you land on this time?"
"None of them!" Odd answers.
"What?! You mean you're in the ocean?"
"0 for 2. But we are floating" Odd answers as Yumi laughs. The two are floating in the ISS.
"Outer space? You guys are in outer space?!"
"That's more like it Einstein! I knew you'd figure it out sooner or later!" Odd exclaims as they're spinning around.
"Amazing!"
"Hey, look at this Odd" Yumi beckons him over to a window.
"Wow! It's unbelievable!" Odd exclaims.
"It is," Yumi agrees. "It's beautiful, and yet, it seems so fragile."
"He gets sick even though I only feed him good healthy food. I'm beginning to think there's something seriously wrong with him."
"Odd! You're looking at the most beautiful sight you're ever going to see, and all you can think about is your stupid cans of dog food?" Yumi scolds him.
"Kibbles! I never give Kiwi canned dog food."
"According to your coordinates, it looks like you guys are on the brand-new International Space Station, 400 kilometers above the Earth!" Jeremy reports after getting their location.
"This is great! We can meet some astronauts and get their autographs."
"Mm-mm," Jeremy shakes his head. "I wouldn't bet on that. The station is uninhabited right now. A new team is coming in about 10 days."
"Good, that'll give us time to find the supercomputer and destroy it" Yumi replies.
"Be on your guard all the same. We can never be sure what Xana has up his sleeve…"
"Up, up, and away!" Odd soars forward, Yumi follows, giggling.
Kiwi wags his tail, wagging his tongue. "Okay. Ready?" Hiroki holds up a ball. "Catch, go on!" Kiwi jumps up and catches the ball. Hiroki claps as Kiwi returns with the ball. "Good dog, you did it again!"
Odd gets the door open and they enter some manufacturing room.
"Wow!" Yumi exclaims as silver orbs are being made. "Jeremy, there's a line of little metallic spheres here, like mini megatanks."
"You think Xana's manufacturing those things?" Odd asks her.
"I have no idea. Anyway, they look harmless enough." Yumi just stares at them.
"Maybe Xana's taking up bocce ball."
"It could be nothing or something major. They're definitely not made to serve mankind. Forget about them and find that supercomputer" Jeremy tells them.
Odd reaches out his hand. "No Odd, don't touch them! You never know," Yumi smacks his hand. "Come on!"
Yumi pulls him forward.
Kiwi rolls the ball to Hiroki, barking. "That's enough, lie down. I said lie down. If not, I'll lock you in my sister's room." A noise is heard outside as Yumi and Hiroki's parents have arrived. "Huh?!" His eyes widen in alarm. He sees the knocked over plants, books, and chips. "Oh no!"
The two walk up to the gate. Hiroki picks up Kiwi, running up the stairs. His father puts down the briefcase to get the keys. "Now what did I do with my keys?"
"They're in your attache key" Mrs. Ishiyama smiles at him.
"Of course. Where's my head?"
"Maybe you left it with your keys!" She smiles in amusement.
"Stay here," Hiroki tells Kiwi in Yumi's room. "Don't move and don't make a sound!"
"Ah, here they are," Mr. Ishiyama pulls out his key. Hiroki races down the stairs, picking up the chips. He picks up the board game. "Look at this mess! What's the meaning of this Hiroki?" Mr. Ishiyama demands him.
"Don't get stressed out, I-I'll have it all cleared up in no time!"
They just stare at him, and Hiroki is relieved they didn't find Kiwi.
The siblings stand side-by-side in front of the skid tower.
"Something's wrong here. Xana hasn't done anything yet. Not even send Ulrich" William comments.
"That'd be the first time he-" Aelita stops and looks at the skid. A shield appears around the skid. "Jeremy, we've got a really huge problem…"
"I see it. Xana's doing all he can to wipe out the skid" Jeremy tells them.
"Any ideas before Xana traps us here" William replies.
"If the replica is an exact copy of sector 5, then it should function exactly like it did on Lyoko." Jeremy looks for a key. "I've got it. Just like before on Lyoko, you have to activate a key to stop the mechanism. Do I have a volunteer to take care of it?"
"I'll go. With my super smoke, I'll be faster."
"The key is directly across from where you're standing right now."
"Okay."
"William wait!" Aelita says, and he turns around as she smiles. "Good luck."
"You too sis. I'll be seeing you real soon," he gives a thumbs up. "Super smoke!"
The tow float into the supercomputer room. "Jeremy, I think we just found the supercomputer" Yumi reports to him.
"Perfect timing because Xana's trying to wipe out the skid. Better take out the supercomputer now. Be careful, though, to make it look like an accident. The space station is too well-known. We don't want any rumors about sabotage."
"An accident? How do we do that?"
"I hope your brother remembered to give Kiwi enough to drink…" Odd looks to the ground.
"We're facing disaster and all you can think about is your dog?!"
"Water, yeah, that's a good idea!" He smiles slightly, Yumi stares in confusion. "We'll create some water damage. There has to be water flowing through one of these things."
Jeremy hums at his deduction, slightly amused.
"Nice going Odd!" Yumi complicates to him as they try to find the water source.
"Don't thank me! Thank Kiwi!"
The computer shows the sign of Xana. The metallic orbs start moving on their own. They float in the air, flying and spinning to where they are.
William suddenly stops super smoking. "Needs a recharge." The ceiling starts to fall. "Not today Xana!" He runs and jumps before he's crushed.
"Well done, William!" Jeremy congratulates him. He continues running.
The two are still looking for the source. "Odd, over here!" Yumi calls him. He floats over to her. "There's water in this pipe! The water flows through there." Before they can cause the accident, the three orbs come into the room. Yumi notices and one gets spikes, and Yumi kicks Odd out of the way. "Watch out!"
"What did you kick me for?" The orb zips past him. "Oh, thanks Yumi."
Two more show up and do the same, forming spikes.
"We're out of here!" Yumi declares. The three orbs retract their spikes as they chase the duo. "Give me a hand!"
Together they close the door before the spheres catch them. Odd turns the wheel, locking the door.
Hiroki has finished cleaning up most of the mess in the living room when Kiwi starts to freak out due to the vacuum cleaner. It is so loud, that the parents hear it downstairs.
"That's strange," Mrs. Ishiyama turns to her husband. "It sounds like a dog."
"Uhh" Hiroki looks at them nervously. He turns up the vacuum cleaner to drown him out. They stare at him. Kiwi scratches at the door. Kiwi covers his ears with his paws.
"Hmm," Mr. Ishiyama turns off the vacuum then hear the howling. Hiroki just smiles, the man narrowing his eyes. They enter Yumi's room, seeing nothing. Then Kiwi barks, and they look down to see him. "Huh? Hey, Hiroki!"
Hiroki moves away.
"Make your next left William" Jeremy guides him. He runs down the path, then shot by a laser. He looks and sees a creeper blocking his path.
"Jeremy, I transferred all the energy into the shields" Aelita explains.
"Let's hope they hold up…" Jeremy hopes.
"They seem to be okay for now."
However, in a few seconds, Ulrich runs into the room, sliding to a stop. "Aelita, Ulrich just showed up."
He draws a saber. He fires a laser blast at the shield. Aelita feels the impact and gives a look of irritation. "Doesn't he ever give up?" She asks herself, disembarking herself. "Here we go."
She teleports behind him. "Energy field!" She announces as she gets his attention. She fires at him, but he ducks, and it hits the skid. "I can't believe it, that was so dumb!" He draws the second saber and approaches her.
The orbs melt right through the door. "Xana's really having a ball," Odd comments. "And lots of them."
"Stop the joking Odd, those things could reverse the teleportation!" Yumi warns him. "If we fail this mission, Xana wins!"
The shields get weaker. "The skid just lost one shield layer! William, Aelita!" Jeremy exclaims.
Aelita narrowly misses the next attack from Ulrich. "I'm doing all I can Jeremy!" Ulrich was one of the warriors strongest and best. Aelita jumps off the edge. Ulrich runs to the edge of the platform only to be taken by surprise when Aelita re-emerges with her wings, taking aim. "Energy field!"
Aelita fires an orb that Ulrich blocks by crossing his sabers, but the force was enough to send him flying back. He lands on his feet as Aelita lands herself.
"Now your gonna pay! The brother ain't here to protect you" Ulrich says to her.
Ulrich speeds towards Aelita to slash her with his saber but she smirks, bending down on one knee and clasps one of Ulrich's sabers at the last moment with both hands, throwing it up in the air and catching the handle before assuming a fighting stance. The saber now glows blue. Ulrich looks at his empty hand and then sees Aelita holding his saber.
"Huh?! What the-?" Ulrich says, confused.
"Didn't expect that did you? You taught me that, remember?" Aelita tells him.
"Not bad princess. The student is almost a master. But in dueling, the master will always be better."
Ulrich and Aelita's sabers glow red and blue as they enter fighting stances. The two lunge at each other, Aelita dodging one slash from Ulrich and vice versa. Ulrich and Aelita jump back, circling around before facing off.
The duo look at the melting door. "What now?" Yumi asks Odd. He places his hand to his chin.
"Hmm…" He sees the airlock release. "It feels pretty stuffy in here. Let's air the place up."
"Odd, you can't do that!" Yumi protests to him.
"What? If I don't do that, we're gonna be bowling pins!" Odd states as the orbs enter. He grabs the handle. "Hold on tight!" He pulls it and the door opens, setting off an alarm. They scream as they hold on, legs flailing. Objects start to get sucked out of the space station. The three orbs start to get pulled outside. One of them flies past them, and the other two follow. With all of them in space, Odd pulls the lever closing the door. "Oh, that's better. Smells less like an astronaut's dirty socks in here now."
Ulrich forces Aelita on the defensive, launching a couple of slashes. She manages to dodge before jumping back, landing on one knee.
"Aelita! How's it going against Ulrich?" Jeremy asks her.
"What do you think?! I can't land one hit on him! I need my brother, or Odd and Yumi now!"
"Your brother still hasn't found the key and Odd and Yumi haven't destroyed the supercomputer yet. You're just gonna have to hold out a little longer."
"A little longer?! At this rate, he'll kill me!"
Ulrich and Aelita clash in a blade lock, pushing against each other with all their strength. Ulrich pushes Aelita off and she lunges exchanging a couple blows before Ulrich strikes back, forcing her to gracefully jump back. Both face off in their fighting stances.
Aelita charges to slice Ulrich only for him to effortlessly catch her wrist. He then knees Aelita in the stomach before sending her screaming with a spin kick. Aelita smashes into the wall before dropping to the floor while Ulrich grins.
"Give it up Aelita. You will never beat me! I am and always will be better!" Ulrich tells her.
Aelita struggles but manages to get up. "That's what you think? Energy field!"
Aelita fires an orb that Ulrich easily blocks but it leaves her open for Aelita to charge. Ulrich ducks another slash but Aelita follows up with an elbow to the face that makes Ulrich stumble back in surprise. He rubs his face, angered. His anger makes the Xana symbol on his headband glow and pulsate.
"Ouch! I thought you too much apparently!" Ulrich says.
"I think the student is ready to surpass the master!" Aelita replies back.
"You won't be so cocky when I do this!"
He launches a smoke blast the prompts Aelita to dodge but she's left open for Ulrich to flip back onto the bottom of the skid before blasting off with his super sprint to slice Aelita across her shoulder, causing her to shout and stumble in pain. Ulrich gets on one hand and kicks Aelita in the back, sending her stumbling away. She's barely able to defend now as Ulrich launches intense sword strikes that she struggles to block. Ulrich kicks her back and attacks again.
"Super sprint!" Ulrich declares.
Ulrich moves at high-speed, slicing one of Aelita's sides, making her shout in pain. It happens again when he slices another shoulder and turns again to slice her leg, forcing her to drop on one knee. Ulrich attacks again and when Aelita turns to defend her stolen saber is blown out of her hand.
"No!" Aelita screams.
Ulrich delivers a spin kick that sends Aelita screaming and smashing into the skid. When she begins to fall Ulrich engulfs her in a smoke blast and telepathically bangs her around the platform and walls before reeling her in and delivering a kick that sends her screaming and sprawling across the floor. Aelita is exhausted and struggles to get up.
"Aelita! Your lifepoints have been cut down to 20! What's going on?!" Jeremy exclaims.
"Jeremy! I need help! Ulrich is too strong! I can't win!" Aelita cries.
"William! You got to hurry and deactivate the key. Your sister's getting beaten by Ulrich!"
"What do you think I've been trying to do Jeremy?!" William retorts back. "Okay, I'm done playing games." William charges up his sword and launches a sword slash at the creeper, destroying it. "Adios creepo! Super smoke!"
Ulrich grabs Aelita's throat and now she's grunting and struggling to escape as Ulrich holds her up with an evil grin.
"Still looks like the student needs one last lesson! You could never beat me in a duel. And now, time to witness the end of the Lyoko Warriors!" Ulrich declares.
Ulrich turns and tosses Aelita, sending her screaming and sprawling across the floor. She hits her face and get on her knees.
"Jeremy…I'm almost done!" Aelita cries out.
"Aelita, you've just lost 10 more life points! If Ulrich lands one more hit it's game over!" Jeremy exclaims.
Aelita pants in exhaustion as she struggles to get up and Ulrich approaches.
"Is that really all you got princess? Weak, like always. The weakest one. No challenge at all. What chance do you have of defeating my master? No matter. We will find your father and destroy him."
William reaches the key chamber. "The key's on the other side, better hurry!" Jeremy informs him.
"Thanks. Mind telling Xana to get a better budget," William says, noticing there's a gap between him and the key. "I got enough power. Super smoke!" He reappears on the other side but notices that the key entrance is closing. He crawls in and hits it before he's devirtualized. He reappears in the scanner. "Now I remember why I hate sector 5!" William remembers the time he was crushed in sector 5.
Back near the skid, Ulrich twists Aelita on her back with her leg and she lies on the floor tired.
"Ulrich, please, stop…" Aelita pleads.
"Surrender is an option. My master will not be pleased if I don't throw you in the digital sea. I want a little vengeance" Ulrich comments as he places the blade to Aelita's neck.
Suddenly, the ring around the skid disappears.
"What?!" Ulrich asks shocked.
"I knew you could do it bro!"
"Doesn't matter. He saved the skid, but not you!"
"Surprise! Energy field!"
By the time Ulrich turns, Aelita's energy field hits him square in the chest and he's sent flying back, hitting the floor and losing his saber which land sin front of Aelita. Ulrich lifts himself up to see Aelita clutching her stomach, picking up his saber before grinning.
"Still overconfident which just means your still easily distracted" Aelita says to him.
"Not bad. Out-thinked me. Impressive" Ulrich replies.
"I was always smarter than you."
The duo float back to the supercomputer room. Odd stops in front of the pipe. "Hope they got insurance!" He swings a hammer at the pipe, and it breaks open. Water bubbles float out and one touches the supercomputer. "It's working Einstein!"
"Watch out, it's gonna blow! De-energize Odd. De-energize Yumi" Jeremy says bringing them in, as the supercomputer blows up.
With Ulrich having no weapon to defend himself, Aelita tries to end him, but he dodges everything. Ulrich eventually slaps Aelita's wrist, sending the saber in the air. Ulrich catches it and sends it into Aelita's stomach, causing her to scream in pain. Ulrich smirks a smile as Aelita devirtualizes.
"Aelita, are you okay?" Jeremy asks.
"Could be better" Aelita replies.
Aelita comes up to the lab, still exhausted from her duel.
"You did great sis!" William congratulates her.
"Thanks. I still got taken out" Aelita replies.
"Yeah, but you saved Odd and Yumi enough time to destroy the supercomputer."
"Same to you. If you didn't hit the key, Xana would have wiped out the skid."
"When did you learn to duel?"
"Oh, Ulrich taught me and Odd how to fight before Lyoko was destroyed."
"Seems like Ulrich is a true warrior at heart and not a slave" Jeremy murmurs.
"I would have preferred to throw you into the digital sea to lure out the old man, but I like the payback route better. No one humiliates me and gets away with it. Now back to business" Ulrich says to himself.
Ulrich picks up his second saber only to be shot by Odd and turns around to see both of them there.
"Keep your hands off our ship!" Yumi exclaims.
Yumi tosses her fans, Ulrich deflects one but the other slices his shoulder and he glares in hate.
"You'll all pay!"
Ulrich tries to rush them, but Odd pushes him back with a couple of laser arrows.
"It's 2 on 1 good buddy. You can't win" Odd says.
"Fine, then let's tip the odds in my favor. Triplicate!"
Two more Ulrich's appear.
"Okay, now this is a little unfair."
"Any ideas?" Yumi asks.
"Yeah, lateral flight pattern and pincer strategy.'
"Meaning?"
"Just go!"
The two Ulrich's speed to the duo, and they try to defeat them, but they both dodge. Odd fires an arrow and Yumi tosses a fan, making it 2 on 1 again. Odd goes after Ulrich.
"Laser arrow!"
Ulrich easily deflects them. "Is that all you got. Super sprint!" Ulrich tries to defeat Odd.
"Shield!" Odd blocks Ulrich's attack. "Now Yumi!"
Yumi throws her fans at Ulrich's wrists making him lose both sabers. Yumi throws Odd up in the air. He catches both sabers and throws them at Ulrich.
"NO!"
Ulrich was impaled and defeated. Odd and Yumi high five each other.
"Ah, just as a reminder, but you might wanna go" Jeremy tells them.
"Okay, let's go!" Odd pilots the skid out of the replica as it blows up.
"That's one less replica. Mission accomplished."
Yumi and Odd head back to her house to pick up Kiwi. "Oh rats, my parents are home!" Yumi notices their car.
"Yeah, and?" Odd asks casually.
"Well, let's say I wouldn't like to be your dog right now!"
When they step inside, they see Yumi's dad playing with Kiwi.
"Nice little doggie, you love playing with your Uncle Takeho, don't you? Yeah! Ha ha ha!" Yumi clears her throat, getting his attention. "Oh…back already?"
"Uh yes Mr. Ishiyama. I'm here to get my dog" Odd speaks up.
"Oh really? Well, if you'd like, I could take care of him for a week."
"That's nice, but I missed him."
"I can understand that."
Odd is about to leave when Yumi's mom stops him. "Just a minute Odd! Here take some sushi."
"Thank you, ma'am, but…I'm not crazy about raw fish" Odd says.
"But it's not for you, it's for Leechie! He loves it, especially when it has lots of mustard!"
Back in the academy, Aelita is showing William how to fight.
"Creative moves. Ulrich better be ready next time" William says.
"It's the only reason why I held out as long as I did" Aelita replies.
"Well, I better be on the boy's floor before Jim starts saying 'Dunbar! What are you doing here?'" William does his best impression of Jim, making Aelita laugh.
"Oh William," Aelita gives him a kiss on the cheek before he leaves. "Good night."
"Good night sis."
William walks back to his room, with a smile on his face.
