CHAPTER 4 – Enjoy and let me know what you think. Mssupertigz
Week later
Things seemed to be going very domestically as their mornings included cups of coffee, wonderful breakfasts and their evenings full of adventures in the bedroom. Sarah even allowed Chuck to watch her paint as he played a video game on his computer. But some how they wound up with paint on them and some how it transferred onto a large piece of canvass that Sarah had just brought home. Chuck stood facing the sink trying to get the paint out behind his ear that he had missed in the shower but other things took precedence. They crawled into bed knowing that Friday was coming and that Sarah didn't have to teach a class on Saturday. They curled under the covers and said good night.
Friday morning
Chuck came back from carrying supplies from Sarah's jeep into the store. He placed the box down hearing his phone ring and noticed that it was a video call. Chuck swiped it. "Major Major how goes it."
"Good, I just got around to checking my messages and I got one from Beckman and she told me that Sarah's not coming back. And that you won't, be coming back either without her?"
"Yeah she's happy here."
"And where's here?"
"Butte Montana."
"Montana?"
"Yeah it was one of the places her and her dad did a con and ever since then she wanted to come back and do something nice, pay it back."
"And you!"
"Just living the dream." Casey looked at him.
"Truth."
"I'm with Sarah and that is all that matters. Money isn't an issue I have plenty of that." Chuck looked at Casey's face.
"I know I could return it to the US of A, but it allows me to be here with her. You can say that I have been given the title of domestic engineer/ maintenance supervisor. So how are you? Where are you?"
"I'm good but I can't tell you where I am." Casey grunted a smile.
"Right. Always full of secrets."
"You know I would tell you."
Chuck laughed. "Sure Casey."
"Also I got an email from Devon and Ellie. They are staying on with Doctors without Borders and told me that they are selling the place unless you want it. Devon's parents are packing up their things and she wanted to know if you have been back there."
"No, I haven't been back there."
Sarah looked up and saw Chuck wave at her. "Sarah's here, want to chat?"
"Sure."
Chuck passed the phone to her. "Who is it?" She whispered.
She walked outside and was surprised to see who was on the screen. "Hey Casey."
"Walker. You look good."
"Thanks I am doing great. We are together, finally."
"I'm happy for you."
"Thanks, and you."
"In Asia. I really wanted to tell Chuck where I was, cause he would want all the details." Sarah smiled.
"So Beckman tells me that Chuck stepped up and told her that you were done."
"For now, but one day I think I will be back or maybe I won't. I have been with the CIA since I was 18 and this is the first time I have been doing something normal."
"So what are you doing?"
"I own an arts and craft store. And I have started painting again."
"Good for you. You always wanted to get back into it."
"And I have."
"So you and Chuck?" Casey grinning.
Sarah looked into the store then back at the phone. "Yeah he found me a couple of months ago."
"So what about LA?"
"What about LA?"
"I told Chuck that I won't be back so I put my place up for sale. I got an email from Devon saying that they won't be back. And that his parents are there packing up their things up and he wondered when Chuck was going to come by and get his things. Or they keep the place or have Chuck put it up for sale."
"Chuck said that Ellie and Devon were doing Doctors without Borders but he didn't say anything about them not coming back."
Sarah looked into the store again. She wondered why Chuck hadn't said anything. Sarah looked back at Casey. "He didn't say anything, did he?"
"Well you know Chuck." Sarah turning her eyes away.
"Yeah and he wouldn't want to burden you with this. Not if everything was going so great. He fears change and if he just got you back he's not going to jeopardize it."
"Yeah I know."
"Sarah don't let the small stuff worry you. Don't fight it."
"Thanks Casey. So when will you stop by?"
"I'll stop by when I hear either your getting married or having a kid."
Sarah chuckled.
"Bye Casey."
"Bye."
The screen went black as Sarah walked back into the store, passing Chuck his phone. She kissed him and he kissed her back, returning to unloading the jeep. She followed him keeping an eye on the front of the store.
"It was good to hear from Casey."
"It was. It was like old times." Chuck walked passed her as Sarah closed the back of the jeep and closed the door of the store and followed Chuck into the back room. Sarah looked at him as Chuck looked up. "I know you want to know something. And Casey told you something."
Sarah paused slightly. "Casey told me that he wasn't coming back and that Devon's parents were coming to pack up their things and move them into storage." Chuck kept busy. "So when were you going to tell me."
Chuck tried to leave as Sarah hopped onto the counter and stretched her leg across to the other counter blocking Chuck from leaving the room. He looked at her as he was now trapped between her legs.
"I was going too."
"Just like you were going to tell me when your flight was rescheduled to head back." Chuck placed his hands on her leg and forced them down. He didn't want to fight. Sarah looked at him with a bit of an impatient vibe. He grabbed his jacket. "Do you want me to go?" She never answered him. Chuck walked out and left the store. Sarah jumped down closing her eyes in despair.
Chuck came back 20 minutes later but sat across the street and texted Sarah to meet him. Sarah locked up the store and saw that he was across the street sitting at a picnic table. She walked up to it and saw that he had gotten them both something to eat and drink. Sarah sat down as Chuck opened her sandwich from its wrapper.
"Ellie sent me a text, so I called her the other day and she and Devon have decided to stay. So she wanted me to know that and when I got a chance I had to decide to either stay in LA or sell the place. It was up to me."
"So why didn't you tell me?"
Chuck wiped his mouth. "Cause I don't have home. Ellie and Devon are gone so there's no point keeping the apartment, as it's way too big for one person. And its obvious that your here and this is your home now. So I am, me without a home."
Sarah hated seeing Chuck going through this. They ate lunch and by the end of the next week Chuck was making arrangements to head back to LA.
Chuck rolled his bag out from the spare room and carried it upstairs and tossed the meagre items he had into it and the few clothes he had bought. Sarah looked at the clock and knew he'd be leaving in a few hours. She sat on the bed as he walked from the bathroom towards his suitcase. "You got everything you need?"
"I think so. I didn't have much when I came here." Chuck placed his suitcase
on the floor. Sarah padded the bed and Chuck sat down.
"I don't want you to go back to LA being angry or upset with me."
"Well then there's no other sentiment then."
"Chuck!"
Chuck grabbed her hand. "I'm not angry or upset. I just need to know where I am supposed to be."
Sarah looked at him. "Here with me." Sarah quickly answered him then reached into her pocket and placed a key into his palm. "You know that I am not one to express how I feel or what I want. But I am telling you now with great clarity that this place is yours, ours if you want it to be. I want you to be here with me and if it takes weeks or months I want you to know that."
Chuck fiddled with the key in his hand. "Chuck I want to spend the rest of my life with you and if it starts with a key then it starts with a key."
Chuck looked at her. "I think you had the key to my heart a long time ago."
Chuck smiled then leaned in to her and then he kiss her.
She came up for air. Chuck looked at her. "I will be back as soon as I can, it just might take some time."
He kissed her again. She looked up at him as she reached for his shirt and started unbuttoning it. He grabbed her face and kissed her as he laid her down. He slipped out of his shirt and rolled into her. He slid between her legs helping her off with her shirt. He tossed it as he laugh subtly. Sarah pulled him close to her as they kissed and caressed each of their bodies. They slid under the covers and continued to make love. It was bittersweet for Sarah as she looked at him with looks of loneliness and sadness. But Chuck was there caressing her cheek and making sure that she knew that she was the center of his world. He moved as close to her as he possibly could and in one second she had nothing to worry about. They continued to make love to the wee hours of the morning.
Chuck got up, showered and got dressed and couldn't bear to wake her so he left her a note. He grabbed one of her flowers from downstairs and placed the key beside her. He called a taxi and left for LA.
Sarah woke to the smell of a beautiful flower, a note and the key. She sat up to find Chuck's side empty then grabbed the note a bit worried.
Hey beautiful, I love you. Last night was wonderful. Your wonderful. I didn't want to wake you as I wanted to remember seeing you there at peace. I will be back home soon hence the key. I didn't want to lose it. I don't know when or how long this will take but I want you to know that I will be back in your arms soon. Love always Chuck.
Two weeks later
Chuck looked up to see Sarah standing in the same spot looking into the complex as she had done many times before. And the same soft tone came from her lips. "Hi Chuck."
Chuck dropped the box and looked up at her, and as many times he had seen her standing there. It was like the first time.
"You just missed Morgan."
"Chuck."
"Yeah."
"Shut up and kiss me."
Chuck ran into her arms and kissed her hard. He picked her up making sure his lips met hers with arms flailing.
"A bed, couch anything now."
"Don't have a bed."
"Floor?"
"Mattress?"
Chuck half carried her into the apartment and closed the door and led her to his old room as they fell to the mattress. They removed their clothes as quickly as they could. Chuck looked at her.
"How? Why?"
"Not now Chuck."
Chuck looked at her and smiled. As they became one and the fact that it was in his old bedroom made it beyond intense. Chuck held her leg close to his hip as they got into their rhythm. Sarah was glad that no one else was in the apartment.
Sarah rolled Chuck over and pressed her palms into his chest. She stared at him. "Watcha thinking about Chuck?"
Chuck looked at her and all her beauty. "You, me and my room."
Sarah smiled and lowered herself meeting his lips. He caressed her breasts then slid his arms around her bringing her into an embrace as they continued to make love.
Chuck laid on his stomach feeling her above him. She continued to caress his arms, placing kisses on his warm skin. He rolled over slightly making Sarah fall to her side looking at him. He touched her cheek and kissed her softly. "Why are you here? I'm glad that you are, I missed you."
"I missed you too."
"I said that I would be back."
"I know but you didn't sound like yourself the other day. So I made arrangements to have someone watch the store while I came here."
Sarah looked around the room. The walls were bare and the Tron poster that hung above his desk was now leaning against the desk on the floor.
Sarah got up taking one of the sheets that were on the mattress with her as she headed to the kitchen and grabbed something to drink. She came back holding two bottles of beer, as Chuck leaned against the wall facing the door. Sarah fell to her knees passing him a bottle. "I see that you have a large selection of alcohol in the fridge."
"Morgan and the guys came over and had one last bash, a last hurrah."
Chuck twisted his cap watching Sarah twist hers. She took a long swig then looked around. "Lots of memories in this room."
"Yes there is."
Sarah looked at Chuck. "You didn't know this but that first week I knew you I stayed outside your window."
Chuck sat up. "Really?"
"Yeah, Casey had to head back to DC and we couldn't have you be alone."
"So you watched me?"
Sarah smiled. "I wished that you would have dropped your towel a few more times."
"What!"
Sarah laughed. "Ok only once but I had to use my imagination for the rest. Cause all I saw was your side."
Sarah finished her beer and crawled into Chuck's arms.
"I missed you."
Chuck kissed the top of her head.
"Missed you more."
"So what have you decided?" Sarah caressing his chest.
"I met with a realtor and trying to talk to Ellie has been tough. Deciding on a price and Devon's parents were here and grabbed their things and what they didn't take I donated them to a mission. They came by the other day."
"So this is all your stuff?"
"Most of it. Morgan is coming by tomorrow to grab some things."
Sarah sat up.
"So you decided?"
Chuck sat up and looked at her. "It was never something to think about, it was just another thing to deal with. I belong with you and there's nothing here, Morgan is going back to Hawaii, he told me the other day so the party was his send off as well. Casey is gone, Ellie and Devon and the Buy More chapter has finally been closed."
"You and me?"
"Your my home as you put it."
Sarah slid onto Chucks lap holding his face in her hands. She kissed him softly and stared into his eyes.
"I guess we need to finish packing?" Sarah looking around the room then back to Chuck as he spoke.
"In the morning." As he slid his hands into the sheet. His touch made her shudder. He slowly pulled the sheet off her body and kissed her naked shoulders. He brought her close, tasting her, caressing her. Sarah wrapped her legs around his back as he leaned forward taking her with him as he laid her onto her back. They became one slowly embracing another round. Chuck stared at her. He moved slowly as Sarah caressed his arms feeling his biceps sharpen as he held himself above her. She raised her self upwards as she kissed him hard. Then as she wrapped her arms around his neck they fell hard into the mattress.
The next morning
Sarah opened her eyes to the morning sun as it peeked through the venetians. Chuck was laying on his side much to her dismay. She got up and grabbed his shirt and slipped it on. She walked the room then headed down the hall. Ellie and Devon's room, the spare room were empty. Walking back towards the living room all that remained were a few items of Chuck's. Some furniture and a box of spy stuff. Sarah sat down on the only piece of furniture close to her and grabbed the box. She opened it and pulled out passports and a fake moustache and little tokens that he shouldn't have kept in case he was found out. But as she looked at each of them she couldn't help but smile. She saw match booklets from fancy restaurants and napkins from sleezy joints that actually ended up being the best part of the mission. Sarah also found ticket stubs of trains and flights that they took. She put everything back and as she smiled it made her feel warm inside. She got up and walked back into Chuck's room and laid back down. Chuck rolled over and laid his head on her chest.
Sarah ran her fingers through his curly hair. She drew figure eights on his naked back and closed her eyes and fell back to sleep.
Hours later she looked at the clock and saw that it was 11 which meant that at home she'd be closing for lunch. She moaned slightly as it registered that there was a warm sensation coming from a place that shouldn't have had attention to it but when she pulled back the sheet she saw why. Chuck slid upwards kissing her chest and other exposed skin of one Sarah Walker. Chuck looked at her as he kissed her. "Morning."
Sarah tried to say it back but his hands grasped her hips making her moan into his kiss.
Chuck leaned back and smiled again. Sarah propped her self up onto another pillow as Chuck laid facing her. "I think that you probably have acted out every one of your fantasies, Chuck Bartowski."
Chuck stared at her chest. "Chuck my eyes are up here."
"I know and they are beautiful."
Sarah grabbed his face and kissed him. She rolled him over. "Now its' my turn. What else have you wanted to do with me in here?"
Chuck swallowed and faked a cough. "Me no, haven't thought about it, ever."
Then he remembered the dream he had when she seductively crawled over him playing with his toes and just as it was getting good she held a knife.
Chuck looked around. "Chuck what are you looking for?"
"You don't have a knife on you, do you?"
Sarah looked at him. Then looked at herself. "And where would I put it?"
Chuck sat up and looked at her. "Right."
She ran her hands through his hair.
"I don't need you to do anything but be here, and that is the dream I always had with and about you. You have met all my expectations and more. I am the lucky one to have you in my life."
Sarah ran her hands back over his head pulling his head back as she kissed him. Chuck grabbed her hips then with his hands he dragged them upwards holding her behind her shoulder blades. They journeyed into another adventure as the next time Sarah looked at the clock it was 2.
Sarah got up again wearing his shirt that she nicely took from Chuck and a pair of boy shorts and walked to the kitchen. Chuck had slipped out to grab something to eat and some coffee. She grabbed a few items from his room and carried them out to the living room. She walked back and grabbed the Tron poster and rested it against one of the boxes but as she walked away it fell forward lying face down. She walked over and saw all the writing and schematics, names and photos printed on the back. She crouched down and picked it up and carried it to the table. She stared at it and was shocked but amazed at all the detail, intel and notes. She read every word then she came to her line and followed it to her photo. She saw her name crossed out then added again, Jenny Burton and a question Who is she?, San Diego and another question What is her real name? Then the name Lisa and another question Or is it? He had made a copy of her CIA badge and beside it the word architect and the final two words My Handler. She wiped a tear as she smiled inwardly. 'He really did know me?'
Sarah was startled when Chuck walked in and saw what she was looking at. Sarah turned to face him. "Sorry, I brought it out to sit with the rest of your things and it fell forward as I leaned it against a box and then I saw it, so I brought it to the table."
Chuck put down the food and the coffee. Then he grabbed her hands and placed them in his. "It's not a secret anymore and I am glad that you saw it cause I wasn't sure how to show it to you myself."
Sarah glanced at the poster. "This must have taken you a long time?"
"At first it was bits and pieces and I needed to have a way to write down what I knew because this room was under surveillance."
"Just for a short time."
"I knew that, but I also knew that no one would care to look at a Tron poster that hung on my wall."
Chuck sit down. Chuck walked over to the chair and sat down as Sarah grabbed a stool and sat down. "I want to give you the answers to those questions. I don't want to have anything that can cause us some pain. I am tired of keeping secrets, especially from you."
"You don't have to, I told you I know everything that I need to know about you."
"I know that you said that but when I saw the name Lisa I knew that wasn't the case. Cause I whispered that after you asked me so how did you find out?"
Chuck licked his lips and drew out looking at her. "I heard."
"And you didn't say anything?"
"I had pushed you and you made it clear that you didn't want to tell me or you couldn't tell me. Either way I accepted that, even after I heard what you said. Maybe it was having the Intersect that gave me super hearing, I promised to keep that secret."
Chuck got up and grabbed the food and coffee. Sarah flipped her coffee lid and took a sip. Then she looked up at him.
"I was born Samantha Lisa Burton so that is partly the truth. My dad's name is actually James but he chose to use Jack. My mom's name is Emma and we have a unique rocky relationship, all for another day. I don't have any siblings but the girl I talked about when we got that sun burn was a girl I met and probably was the only friend I had when I moved to San Diego. I had at least five aliases by the time I was 15. And when we finally had settled on staying in San Diego. I chose to stay with Sarah Walker as it had been the longest name that I had since Sam."
Chuck looked at her and leaned in and kissed her. "Thank you for sharing."
"No thank you for not giving up on me." They shared another moment.
"So an architect, huh?" Sarah smiled as she unwrapped, seeing a cheese burger then looked at Chuck.
