This is the fourth instalment of my Ashley & Christie Xavier story collection! Reading the other books is not necessary, as I'm about to provide a summary.

So, if you're here for the first time…welcome!

Brief character summary:

Ashley Darmer (Xavier) is the oldest of the two sisters. Dark red long wavy locks, these strangely enticing green eyes, the plump lips, the delicate freckles. She grew up under the watchful eye of her father Charles, due to the dangerous mutation that brews within her. She is able to conjure the elements at her fingertips and, if uncontrolled, can cause unbelievable damage to her surroundings. She never felt part of the X Men, and after some back and forth between her father and Nick Fury, she was finally able to join The Avengers instead. Here she made a whole new family for herself including her good friend Natasha, her brother-like-pain-in-the-ass Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers, her boyfriend.

But her biggest struggle? HYDRA craves her, they desperately want to capture her to use her mutation for their wicked plans - and of course, she's scared.

Why wouldn't she be?

Christie Darmer (Xavier) is a little (or a lot) different from her sister. Whilst Ashley is sweet and gentle, Christie's icier, colder, harsher. She's the slender tall one, with the straight moonlight white hair and those slightly scary grey eyes. As a child, her parents had pushed her aside to focus on Ashley's dangerous mutation, therefore hardening her heart. As soon as she was able to, she fled from her home and trained overseas to become an assassin, where she was soon picked up by S.H.I.E.L.D. After a few years of working for them, Fury and Coulson put her on a huge undercover operation in Asgard, where she accidentally fell in love with Loki Laufeyson - and witnessed him die…twice.

That only broke her more.

She was then put on yet another undercover mission focussed on HYDRA's Winter Soldier programme, where she'd seemingly made an impact on a certain Bucky Barnes - but, at the time, she couldn't care less about his romantic interest in her. She was still in mourning over her first love. Either way, she ended up losing Bucky too, as he went on the run, never to be seen again. So now she's just alone and uneasy, attempting to distract herself from the loss of both the men she'd grown close to with the only thing she knows - killing. More to the point, whilst she does love her Avengers family, she has a very, very complicated relationship with Natasha Romanoff. It's…love/hate to say the least.

Christie and Ashley's relationship itself was turbulent to begin with, particularly after Ashley had interrupted Christie's peace by joining S.H.I.E.L.D.

But they're better now.

They're…stronger now.

Anyway, we join them on one of Tony Stark's infamous 'team bonding nights' - because it wouldn't be a weekend without one of those.
