Chapter 2: Her Chase, Her Irreplaceable

Outside of a certain jonaGardeN Family Restaurant…

'The dominatrix,— I mean, the famed Railgun girl!— is probably nicer than I expected.'

That was what Ruiko was currently thinking.

After the incident at jonaGardeN, four girls,— Ruiko, her friend Uiharu, Shirai the pervert, and Misaka the dom- the electromaster,— had no choice but to go to a Joseph's restaurant nearby. After all, the staff there would not want to see them soon with all the chaos Misaka had caused. Talking about that…

Ruiko took a glance at the three girls who were walking ahead of her, about two steps or three. One of them actually walked at a slower pace as if to match more with hers, not letting her feel isolated. Unsurprisingly, it was the weird flower headband wearing black-haired classmate of hers, Uiharu. The girl seemed to be awkward around her idol, the brown-haired famed Level 5, Misaka, and the other girl, the perv- Shirai, yes, Shirai, was constantly surrounding Misaka, not letting Uiharu reach even one step closer to the Level 5.

'She thinks she is a satellite of Planet Misaka Mikoto or something?'

Ruiko could not help wondering, yet she did not want to pry more. The electromaster in question was indeed not as bad as she had thought, but it was hardly something meaningful. She had had a pretty low expectation for the girl after all. Still, she thought it was now worth it to take a chance to know more about the Railgun. At least, she had more motivation than she had had just five minutes before.

The walk to Joseph's was only three minutes, yet it felt like three hours for Ruiko. At least by now, she was not worried about the Railgun girl and perhaps she could strike a solid conversation with the girl later.

Meanwhile, in the aforementioned jonaGardeN…

A girl with back-length black messy hair in a dark blue sailor uniform entered the restaurant from the back door restricted for staff, out of breath. She entered just minutes after the four-girl merry band had left. The black long-haired waitress Fukiyose Seiri greeted the newcomer's arrival with a soft smile, her brown eyes meeting the other girl's blue orbs.

"Five minutes late for your shift. What can you ever do without me covering for you, Kamijou?"

The now recognized Kamijou Touki let out a soft sigh of relief, her face still pale, possibly from fatigue.

"Just, hah, escorted a lost kid to his dorm, hah, nothing big. Thanks, hah, as always, Seiri. You're, hah, a lifesaver."

Her friend responded with gasps breaking her speech. Seiri grinned, patting her friend's back softly.

"Of course, silly. What are friends for? Now, take some moments to breathe, Touki. I will serve one more table and then you will be ready, okay?"

Touki nodded, still panting.

"Sounds like, hah, a plan."

And then Seiri left to serve her last table. Which only took a minute. Then she went to the bathroom to clean her face.

Looking at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, Seiri noticed a frown on her own face. She knew the exact reason why, actually. She had many questions for her friend as usual, knowing that the girl was usually dragged into troubles, either by her misfortune,— as much as Seiri hated to admit, Touki was indeed unlucky,— or by her choice to reach out for helpless people. While this habit was respectful, admittedly, Seiri could only worry more about Touki's own safety when her friend went out of her way for others' safety. Though, Seiri had to say back then in their middle school time, Touki had been less reckless.

'Why did Touki become like this? She was always helping people back then, but never this reckless. I cannot pinpoint when, but she's definitely changed after she met that senior. She never told me the full story, just that she hung out with her and a fluffy-haired girl, and no more. I hate the idea that other people may be hurt, but I absolutely loathe that Touki will be hurt. Geez, can she be more conscious of her own safety for her own sake?'

And the kid her friend just mentioned to have helped, whoever he was, Seiri was almost certain that boy was in some sort of imminent or potential danger, and her friend had decided to help him.

'Haaah… But Touki not helping people is not the Touki I know, I guess, and while I don't mind it, there is that.'

She sighed, then decided to go back to the staff room. Touki had to have changed into her uniform already.

In a nearby Joseph's Coffee and Restaurant…

The group had ordered drinks and sweets, and after some awkward moments passed, it was Shirai who broke the ice.

"Okay, I know that our starting point has been, to say the least, a bit eccentric, but today I have invited Uiharu to meet with Onee-sama here, so let's pretend this time is our real first meeting, can we? Shall we begin our introduction?"

The perv-— okay, the Judgment,— said sincerely, it seemed like it was safe to consider their very first meeting as a discarded draft and renewed it here. Okay, Ruiko would bite. She would face whatever they threw to her! If she could not, she would grasp Uiharu and escape here immediately!

"Alright, let me start. I am Saten Ruiko, first year, and a classmate of Uiharu here from Sakugawa Middle School. She dragged me along because she was too shy to meet her idol by herself. Oh, and my rating level is 0, so there's that too."

Ruiko said nonchalantly, but it startled Uiharu who was already worried about her friend's attitude towards a complete stranger, Misaka, like that.

"Sa- Saten-san! Why do you say it like that?!"

It was not that Ruiko was still in a predetermined opinion of Misaka like she was with other high level espers, she had seen some parts of this girl's personality to reach a vague conclusion that perhaps she was not like these all high and mighty snotty rich brats, but Ruiko was still not sure.

Shirai rolled her eyes at Ruiko's attitude, while the Misaka girl did not show any clear reaction when Ruiko had mentioned her level. Perhaps the long-haired girl was really thinking too much about the rumours?

"Saten-san, huh? Nice to meet you. You already heard about me from Kuroko's loose mouth, but I am Misaka Mikoto, a second-year student from Tokiwadai Middle School. Our first meeting was a mess, sorry for that too. It is a bit awkward for me that the friends I was going to meet saw that unsightly side of me."

Misaka said cheerfully, and put on a sorry face when she mentioned about the fiasco earlier. Ruiko was stunned, to say the least.

'Friends? She intends to treat me and Uiharu as… friends? Perhaps she is like, actually, really really nice?'

To say Ruiko was perplexed was still an understatement. It was shocking to her that a high level esper, no, scratch that, the third ranked of the seven highest level espers was actually that friendly. She was not sure about other Level 5s, but it seemed to her at least the Misaka Mikoto part of the "nutsy Level 5s" rumours could be dismissed. For now, alright.

"It… is nice to meet you too, Misaka-san."

Ruiko muttered, sounding a bit embarrassed for jumping into conclusions so readily.

'It is a bad habit for an urban legend hunter, Ruiko! Bad, you!'

She silently reprimanded herself.

"Oh! It is my pleasure to meet you, Misaka-san! I am Uiharu Kazari, an oftentimes partner with Shirai-san here because we were in the same team as Judgment newcomers. Sakugawa Middle School, first year!"

Uiharu excitedly announced, her hands reaching out, wanting to shake Misaka's hand. Wow, this was such an embarrassing scene, Uiharu-kun! Too bad she was sitting right now so Ruiko could not check out for her panties status like before.

"Um… Yeah? My pleasure too, Uiharu-san."

Misaka reluctantly replied and shook Uiharu's hand. She seemed a bit… troubled? But why? Should she not be glad to have a fan like that?

Before Ruiko could think anymore, Shirai from the opposite site of the table flicked Uiharu's forehead, making her yelp. Then the twintails girl, with her left index finger pointed to Uiharu, complained.

"Geez, Uiharu. I already told Onee-sama that you are a decent girl and not the annoying kind of her fans so she accepted this meeting. If you keep behaving as a fangirl like that, you will tarnish my reputation, you know."

Shirai then covered her own forehead with her right hand, sounding tired. Then she looked at Ruiko's direction, giving her a small smile.

"Oh, and Saten-san, I am Shirai Kuroko, Tokiwadai first year student and Judgment long time partner of Uiharu. Nice to meet you."

Okay, this girl looked so cute when she was not being creepy, Ruiko could give her that.

"Likewise, Shirai-san."

Conveniently, the waitress who had taken their orders earlier just came to their table with their sundae and bread. She had to professionally have waited for that very moment, Ruiko concluded. Looking at her sweets, Ruiko could not help wetting her mouth. It looked so yummy!

Before Ruiko could start enjoying her treats, she had to turn to the scene on her left side, where Uiharu had received a glass of sundae thrice as big as hers in size! How the heck could she eat that many sweets with such a small body?

A while later…

"That's what I said. There are sights of the urban legend, the Stripping Lady, around here! And there are also sightings of the Negating Heroine who can nullify other abilities and run from one end to another of the city to help people in need."

Ruiko excitedly announced her findings of the urban legends to Uiharu and the others. If anyone had told her that she would open up to them, especially to Misaka Mikoto, like that fifteen minutes before, she would have called them delusional fools. But now she was enjoying treats and chatting with them like best friends ever. Well, perhaps she was considering them like best friends, as she had done with Muu-chan's bunch now, Kurumin's bunch then, and… Touki. Recalling Touki's name made her feel a bit nostalgic.

"Negating other espers' ability, huh?"

Misaka mused, she looked like she was remembering something. Ruiko's own detector for urban legend-ary findings was working fast, her brain got into gears and immediately pieced bits together.

"You know that rumour, Misaka-san? Or, is it that you have some clues about that Negating Heroine?"

Ruiko beamed at Misaka with curious eyes, which made the slightly older girl gulp. She reluctantly answered.

"I- I am not sure, really. If I know more, I will share it with you, Saten-san!"

With that, Ruiko could only let out a sigh of defeat. Well, at least she tried to convince the Level 5.

At the same time in the nearby jonaGardeN…

Touki suddenly felt something cold and vibrating running in her spine, as if it was electricity-based.

'Nope, no way. There is no reason for that Biribiri girl to be near here, I am just too paranoid. Geez, to think she has such a docile girl as a twin sister, a bit weird in the head but still a kind and polite kid. Genetics is really a wild thing.'

The girl grimaced, continuing her work. She had an attendance score to maintain here.

Hours later, outside of Joseph's Cafe and Restaurant…

Ruiko's newfounded merry band had been having fun together, only chattering and sharing mundane stories about their every day. They had not realized two hours had passed, and the two Tokiwadai students needed to get back to their dorm before their curfew time.

The four then said goodbye, and two Tokiwadai students and two Sakugawa ones parted their ways.

Ruiko and Uiharu were walking back to their dorm, pleasurably taking their time.

"Shirai-san is one thing, but Misaka-san is really a surprise, don't you think so?"

Ruiko suddenly asked, gaining a glance from her friend. Uiharu, still surprised, excitedly shared her view on the matter.

"Yes! One would think a person with her standing would be more distant and, I don't know, more arrogant! But here she is, completely down to earth, and kind too! A great friend for anyone to have, I dare to say!"

Ruiko snorted. Uiharu had been reproached by Shirai for her behaviour earlier, but it did not seem to change her personality a bit.

"Well, yeah. Though her temper may need a bit of work before she is ready to be married off, you know, that little chaotic event in jonaGardeN. We may be banned from that restaurant and its other branches for all I know."

Ruiko teasingly added, though she totally hoped that the last part she mentioned was just a joke. But then, she wondered out loud.

"But marriage, eh? Perhaps it is true, rich girls indeed have a different lifestyle from us, it's not strange if she would be married, or at least engaged, to someone as soon as she is 16."

Ruiko talked as if she had experienced it firsthand, though the truth was she only had read it in shoujo manga and novels, and, well, rumours. What she had said made Uiharu blush anyway. The flower headband wearing girl then said with a dreamy expression on her face.

"Oh… I can imagine. Misaka-san will marry the prince of her dream, an epitome of handsomeness and kindness, and bravery, and he is always ready to protect her all the time!"

Ruiko sweatdropped at her friend being in a dreamy state like this. She considered lifting her friend's skirt to return her to an embarrassed but normal Uiharu state, but she felt it would be too cruel for her romantic friend. Oh well. As if such a dream-like prince existed in reality. But if it was Touki, Ruiko might not mi-—

'Uwaaah! What the heck did I just think? I- urgh, I don't think of Touki-san like this! I mean, yes, she is handsome, brave, and cute, and kind also, but I always look up to her like an older sister, with as little as the time we spent together!'

She shouted in her mind, not letting her imagination run wild. But, as soon as she finished that thought, she suddenly felt sad.

"Urgh… Thinking about that makes me miss her again…"

Ruiko muttered, which did not escape Uiharu's ears. Her friend had escaped her dreamy state for some time. Seeing Ruiko's sad look, Uiharu quickly asked the girl.

"Oh, hey, Saten-san. Are you okay?"

Ruiko could only give her a weak nod, which did not convince the flower headband girl at all.

But then, Ruiko looked at the opposite side of the streets, seeing two older girls walking together. Somehow one of them looked so familiar. Both had black hair hanging down, one with a messier hairstyle wearing a dark blue sailor uniform, another with a cleaner hairstyle wearing a casual light yellow T-shirt and light green pants with two white stripes on each pant leg's side. The latter. It was the latter who made her think that.

Oh, right, the Kishin waitress of jonaGardeN that 'spared' her group's lives. Not like she would have killed them, but Ruiko liked to think in that line. Yet, the girl who was walking beside her whose face Ruiko had not seen looked like—

"Touki-san!?"

A mischievous wind blew the other girl's messy hair, revealing her face to Ruiko. That nose, that mouth, those lips, other features, all of them had changed from these six years they were separated, yet Ruiko still found some similarity in those eyes of the older girl over there. Eyes with a sharp blue color, as deep as the sea. She could not be mistaken, the girl over there was Touki. Her Touki.

"Touki-san! TOUKI-SAN! TOUKI-SAAAAN!"

Ruiko yelled out to the departing girl, attempting to cross out the streets to run to the person she concluded was her formerly separated beloved friend. But she was stopped by Uiharu, who pulled her back before a black motorbike ran over her.

"Saten-san! Keep calm! What's going on? What's wrong with you?"

But Ruiko was having none of that.

"It's Touki-san, Uiharu! We have been separated for six years! Six years! I can't wait for any moment to meet up with her again!"

Uiharu was shaked by Ruiko's movements, she might not be able to stop Ruiko rushing to the streets full of vehicles like that.

"Please calm down! We, we could cross the streets with the overpass there, and, if we still lose her tracks, I- I can help you find out where she is studying! I promise! Believe me!"

Hearing her friend saying something outrageous like that made Ruiko calm down a bit. It should not be misunderstood, Ruiko knew that Uiharu had a knack for computers and the internet, more than that, actually, but that was the idea. Just that she never heard her friend openly offer her help like that, because Uiharu always took her Judgment job so seriously and professionally.

"You really think that? How about your moral code? Not using your hacking skills for private and personal reasons?"

Finally calmed down, Ruiko asked Uiharu, curiosity and a hint of tiredness in her voice.

"Well, it can be counted as helping a citizen find her lost family! I don't see any contradictions with my work ethics!"

Somehow, this grinning tiny girl before her looked so great speaking such things with confidence.

'What a naughty girl.'

Ruiko playfully thought. Yeah, she could definitely find Touki with Uiharu's help like that.

"Kukuku, you will make a scary villain with these thoughts, Uiharu-kun! Let's waste no more time and go to that overpass!"

The long-haired girl energetically shouted, dragging Uiharu along with her.

Damn, she loved this friend of hers so much.

Across the streets…

Seiri felt like she was hearing someone mention her friend's name behind her. She looked around a bit, unable to find the source of the sound.

"What's that, Seiri?"

Her friend asked, tilting her head cutely.

"Nothing, Touki. I must be just hearing things."

She replied, not wanting to worry her friend. This foolish girl before her had too many on her plate, adding one thing would only tire her out more.

"Mm, if you say so. Oh, looks like the autobus is here already. Hurry up, Seiri!"

"Mm!"

Touki reached out her hand to hold Seiri's, and the girl in casual clothes smiled at that. And then, they ran off together to catch up with the newly arrived vehicle.

An hour later, in front of Sakugawa Female Dorm…

Both the Kishin and the girl Ruiko thought to be Touki had been nowhere to be found, as expected. After all, Ruiko and Uiharu had delayed their search for some discussion about Uiharu's hacking skills and work ethics. Still, the long-haired girl had felt a bit disappointed, not being able to meet her old friend this time. At least, Ruiko had had one helping hand. One ridiculously useful helping hand, to say the least. So they had decided to return to their dorm.

Walking past the gate and saying sorry to their dorm manager, the two walked lazily on the open yard. Ruiko was looking at the sky, searching for the hidden moon when Uiharu made some interesting offer.

"Say… do you want to spend the night in my room, Saten-san? I see you are impatient, and I don't mind using my own laptop for some hack- eh, some surfing right now. We just need to report it tomorrow."

Hearing her friend's invitation made Ruiko happy, really. But she had already taken a lot of Uiharu's time for her own business already, perhaps she should not overstay her welcome.

"Thanks for that, Uiharu, but you've already helped me so much today. I guess I will let you have some Uiharu time with these dark secrets of yours!"

She exclaimed, then ran ahead of Uiharu's from the yard to the dorm elevator. It took Uiharu some moments to react to what Ruiko said.

"Wh- What!? Hawawawawa, what are you even saying, Saten-san? I don't have any embarrassing secrets in my internet history! And don't run, Saten-san!"

Ruiko just laughed at her friend's outburst, and she kept running. Being an athletic girl, she outran her friend by half of the pathway from the gate to the dorm already.

Somewhere in an abandoned research center…

A certain white-haired pale-skinned youth, wearing a black shirt with white-striped pattern and a pair of grey pants, was seen towering above a red mess of unrecognized pieces of… things. Under the youth's feet was something like a pole, long, thin, and soft, one of its ends painted in a messy red colour, the other end a brown shoe. And that thing was covered by something in human skin colour. No, it was indeed human skin, and the open end in red was the surface of a messily cut bloody human leg, revealing red torn skin, shredded tissues, savaged meat, and broken bone. Together with it was a great amount of blood splashed through the room and several limbs scattered around. With these were bloodied and mutilated bodies, eyes gouged out, chests exploded, brains smashed to bits, an iron smell filled the air.

"This concludes experiment 8888, says Misaka. The participant can leave the experimental site if desired, suggests Misaka. Misaka and the other Sisters will start their cleaning up here."

A young girl, with short brown hair reaching her shoulder, was standing next to the youth, on her head a set of goggles. She was wearing an identical uniform to the corpses around the room: a tan vest over a white short-sleeved shirt and a gray pleated skirt. Her face betrayed no emotions facing the crime scene before her. A crime scene of a murder, or should one describe more accurately, a massacre. There were arms and legs thrown around the room, at least ten pairs each, and there should be more in this research center, the girl who called herself Misaka noted. Though, it would only classify as homicide when the killed individuals in question were qualified as naturally-born irreplaceable humans, the girl added.

"Tsk. Are you fucking sure doing that would make the great me reach that unreachable goal, the fabled Level 6? All I see is that I am just wasting time breaking dolls left and right."

The youth, brows knitted and red eyes shown, spoke to no one in particular with an androgynous voice, Misaka realized. This voice could be interpreted as either a pre-puberty boy or a teenage girl. While the youth asked that, the girl noticed she was not the one directed by the question. She did not have to answer, so she did not.

"Tsk. I wonder why I am even asking a doll anything. Ha."

The youth sighed. Then the air was compressed around the area, pulling the youth's body out of the windows. The androgynous just left like that.

Such an ability which was displayed was the focus of these experiments, Accelerator.

"What a strange person, sighs Misaka. The girl from the morning was a weird one too, taking care of Misaka as if Misaka is an irreplaceable being like her, wonders Misaka as Misaka thinks that girl is an odd-ball."

Misaka spoke out when the albino youth had already left. The 'Sisters' she mentioned still were nowhere to see, yet there were indeed footsteps outside of the room.

"Really, an odd-ball, repeats Misaka."

She felt something strange with her chemistry. Some heat was forming inside her cheeks, which she thought was a problem with her own metabolism. She would need to ask Shinobu to take a look at her.

And then, the 'Sisters' came.

In a Certain High School's Female Dorm, Room 706…

Seiri had told Touki to leave the dinner for her, so the blue-eyed girl decided she would take a bath first. Choosing a simple white tank top and a pair of pink hot pants and some underwear, Touki left for the bathroom.

Stripping to her naked state, the girl got under the bathtub, not bothering with the curtains, and applied soap on her skin, starting her washing. She used shampoo for her hair afterwards, and then enjoyed the warm water from the shower.

After that, Touki turned off the water and got out of the bathtub. Wiping her body dry with a purple towel, she took a peek at her reflection in the mirror, noticing a hint of the fading scar on her back. She sighed.

"I wonder what they are doing now. Ruiko, Otohime, Saki, and the rest. Hope they are still fine."

The girl slipped into her plain white underwear and chosen clothes. Fixing on her reflected image in the mirror, she noticed her previously messy back-length hair was now… messy and wet. Touki sighed, grimacing that her roommate's efforts for keeping her hair straight had been wasted from all the chase.

"Haaa, why the heck did I need to get into others' messes like this again?"

She wiped her hair again, then began drying it patiently with a hair-drier.

It should have been a peaceful afternoon, when she should have just lazily been jogging to jonaGardeN for her 2-hour shift starting at 16. Why had she had to waste her time rescuing boys and girls in distress again?

She already knew the answer, honestly.

"Right. I didn't want to leave them helpless like that, or else I wouldn't have a peaceful sleep tonight, knowing they hadn't smiled."

She was just selfish like that. Seiri would scold her again for this, like usual.

Being done with the hair-drier, Touki started straightening her hair with a hair comb. When she finished, the comb was left on the wash basin and then she got out of the bathroom.

Seiri had prepared their dinner already. Hot rice, fried pork, salad and miso soup, all were ready for them to feast on.

"Oh, hey, Touki. Dinner's ready. I will take a scrub then. You can eat first if you want."

Her roommate spoke as she left the dining table for the bathroom. Touki just shrugged at that offer.

"Nah, I'm good. I'll wait for you to finish your beauty bath, and we can eat together."

After all, what were friends even for if they did not enjoy a meal together when they could?

"Are you sure? Food may be cold by the time I finish?"

Her friend's voice from the bathroom shouted out.

"We have a heater for that. Now just wash your butt clean, Seiri. I say I'll wait for you."

Touki ended the argument, which made Seiri laugh from the bathroom.

'I guess she will have a lot of questions about my late arrival this afternoon. Should I tell her everything? That may make her more worried, but she always knows when I am hiding some details, which will yield the same results. Haaaa… Why do I have to deal with all of those anyway? I just want a peaceful and lazy afternoon. Why did I need to meet Biribiri and those weird exhibitionists?!'

Touki laid down with her depressing thoughts, her mind wandering before drowning into a slumber.

Ten minutes later…

Seiri had finished her bath, as quickly as she could manage, and she left the bathroom with a pink towel around her body. Setting her feet on the floor out of the bathroom, she caught a glimpse of her roommate's collapsed form.

"TOUKI!?"

With worries filling her mind, the brown-eyed girl dashed to her friend despite the risk of dropping off her towel, it was not time for her to care about modesty. Reaching Touki's limp form, she let out a sigh of relief when she realized her friend was breathing softly. Touki was only sleeping.

"Geez, scared the heck out of me there. Naughty, Touki!"

She poked her friend's soft cheek, realizing her friend was totally defenseless now.

"This girl looks so cute right now. Geez, if you are that tired, you can make quick work of your dinner and then go to sleep. You don't need to wait for me now, idiotic Touki."

Seiri grumbled, but her hands still messed up her friend's face softly, making the cute blue-eyed girl in question let out a soft moan. Which, needless to say, unnerved the brown-eyed girl.

She feared she had just woken up her friend, but Touki just kept sleeping. It seemed like it was just an instinctive reaction.

"This girl is too defenseless… I guess she trusts me so much that I won't do anything bad to her. That I won't. But…"

She looked at her friend softly breathing out in her sleep, her face completely relaxing, her hands letting down leisurely on one side. Her cute lips opened up whenever she let her breath out. Which made Seiri swoon.

"… if you're that cute, I may steal a kiss or two from you, you know."

Perhaps she could do just that, Seiri thought when she muttered. Not like Touki would hear either her thoughts or her mumblings right now. Then, she slowly leaned down, letting her face next to her friend's. Her lips touched her friend's soft cheek, landing on it a peck. Then, she heard her friend murmuring something.

"… ki…"

Seiri shot her body back up, fearing that the fact she had just been behaving shamelessly before her friend would be known and she would be referred to by 'Fukiyose' as Touki would always do when she was angry. Yet despite her fear, it seemed like it was just her friend's sleep talking.

Seiri sighed in relief. She did not know if she could face Touki the next day if her friend knew about her habit of stealing pecks on her cheeks. It was not like she never kissed Touki while the latter was awake, but it was still kiss theft nonetheless. Then, she heard her friend's mumbling more clearly.

"Ruiko, Otohime, Saki…"

Three names. Seiri knew exactly what these three names meant. They were her roommate's childhood friends, some of the closest, especially the second name mentioned who was also a cousin on her friend's maternal side. Touki was missing them, Seiri realized.

She let out a soft smile, then placed her hand on Touki's forehead. She soothed the girl, her voice kind.

"I hope you will meet them again soon, Touki."

And this concludes Chapter 2: Her Chase, Her Irreplaceable of A Certain Unfortunate Girl! Hi again, I welcome you to the author's endnote.

Please give me your thoughts about this chapter! If there is any error or weird thing that irks you, let me know through your reviews! I'll appreciate it!

So the Railgang girls' first meeting is not exactly like the canon, is it? Not totally different, too. I mean, gap moe is something real! And Misaka, the girl struggling with her celebrity façade and her real self, surely has a lot of this potential! But enough about her!

Fukiyose, the Kishin Saten feared, is actually Kamijou's co-worker! And they share quite an interesting friendship! Saten's timing was just terrible then, she left just before Kamijou came, oh my, not to mention the un-meeting across the street! But that will only contribute to their long-awaited reunion, I hope! When she has Uiharu to help her chase right now!

Kamijou's misfortune is obviously expected, but we don't see it firsthand here. Perhaps she will tell Fukiyose soon, hopefully! About these exhibitionists! Oh, who are they anyway? Are they Kiyama Harumi, Kanzaki Kaori, Musujime Awaki, Sakuragi Naruha, Oriana Thomson, or even Esther Rosenthal? Maybe Lessar fits that impression too if she has the chances! Oh boy, these women are everywhere!

And finally, appearances of a Sister and our favourite albino! This Sister knows someone by the name Shinobu, and she also knows an oddball amongst those irreplaceables! Who is she even talking about I wonder? And the albino, although briefly, has shown some disdain for the Sister's robotic responses. I mean, who won't? Talking with people of different wavelengths can be tormenting sometimes!

It's all for now! See you soon!
