Chapter 5: Imagine Breaker vs elemental burst

"Man, I'm so bored." Kotaru muttered while walking.

It's already 3rd July after Kotaru has been testing the Virtual Chamber, after he finally come out of school he walked aimlessly on the sidewalk while looking at the ground. He can't hang out with Uiharu and Saten right now because both of them were hanging out with Misaka and Kuroko in the garden of learning which is only accessible for girls and since Kotaru was a boy, the security won't let him allowed to get inside the garden of learning.

"Man what should I do now?" Kotaru talked to himself slowly while talking "Uiharu and Saten are in the garden of learning, i don't have a judgement work for today, and lastly I don't want to analysing the data on the virtual chamber because that will make me way more bored. I guess I'll just walked until something happens." After that, Kotaru keeps walking.

After a few minutes, Kotaru started to think that he should buy some juice on a nearby supermarket. When he finally got inside the supermarket, he heard a familiar phrase with a familiar voice saying "Such Misfortune."

Kotaru recognize that voice, he looked at the source of the voice and recognize who it is. He has a spiky black hair like a shonen manga protagonist and wear a simple student clothes and he is around 16 years old as a high school boy. After he recognize the boy, he approaching him from behind and called out "Yo kamijou senpai!"

Touma look around and see the one who called him "Oh hey Hikari, you don't need to call me senpai anyway just call me by my name."

"Well, it can't be helped because you have a great battle instinct than mine especially when I haven't manage to beat you once so I called you that and not to mention you're older than me." Kotaru talked back.

"Fair enough, anyway what are you doing now?" Touma asked moving the past conversation.

"Well, i wanna buy a juice right now since I got nothing to do." Kotaru replied.

"Wait, why didn't u got anything to do?" Touma asked since he curious why his friends didn't got anything to do right now.

He instantly replied "Well, my friends going to the garden learning hanging out with Misaka-san and Shirai-san so I can't go there with them and not only that, today there isn't judgement work for me to do so I'm having a free time right now."

"Well that sucks." Touma say to his friend and he just reminded about something and started to panic, "Ah crap i forgot about my credit card, it got eaten by the ATM."

Kotaru sighed "Well, just your usual bad luck routine. Here let me help you out." He know's how bad Touma's luck because when the first time they meet each other, Touma was being chased by some thugs at night while Kotaru go back from Jona Garden to eat dinner. Kotaru helped him fight the thugs and leave them on the ground after being defeated. After that, both of them talking why this happened and somehow Kotaru feel like this guy is a good person to hang out with and after that, they go to their dorm room. Kotaru walked to the ATM and he raise his right hand to the left side and then he swing his right hand to the right and chopping the ATM that make the ATM Spit out Touma's ATM.

"Thanks Hikari, but doing that would be a problem for us." Touma say to Kotaru with a worried expression.

"Why is that?" Kotaru asked.

"You know doing that could turned on the alarm on the ATM" Touma replied to him worry that his misfortune gonna strike, but soon he realised that the alarm didn't activated and confused why.

"Don't worry, I know how to do this ever since your card being eaten so many times so I already know the trick to not make the alarm turned on" Kotaru answer the question in Touma's mind.

Touma sighed in relieve then he took the money he want to take from the ATM, looked at Kotaru again saying, "Thanks a lot buddy."

"No problem, hey since we haven't spar for 2 weeks, wanna fight me again today?" Kotaru asked since he got nothing to do.

"Well, I'll be honest with you that fighting you is way more dangerous than fighting biribiri nowadays." Touma admitted.

"Biribiri? Who's that?" Kotaru asked while confused.

Realizing what he said, Touma tell his friend "Don't worry about it, but i guess i could but please go easy on me."

Kotaru sighed knows how bad his luck really is that make Touma say that to him "Alright then, i'm going to buy some drink and we're going to fight on the usual spot ok?" Kotaru talk to him.

"Sure, as long as you make it fast. I don't want to lost getting a discount sale." Touma remind him.

"We'll see about that later." Kotaru replied.

*Line break*

After 20 minutes of walking, the two spiky haired boy arrived at a certain riverbed ready to face each other in a sparring session to make Kotaru didn't feel bored.

"Just to be clear, we only allowed to got hit once and the one who manage to hit the enemy first win the fight" Kotaru explain.

"Alright, i hope i'm not gonna get killed this time." Touma say while he prepare himself in a stance.

"Relax you're not gonna die." Kotaru joked while charging a fire ball on his right hand and electro ball on his left hand, then he gathered both of the ball in front of him.

"Oi oi, that's gonna killed me." Touma raise his right hand in front of him and use his left hand and placed it on the right arm to hold his right hand.

"As if something like this gonna hurt you." After that, a purple and orange-ish red beam got blasted from Kotaru's hand and the beam is heading towards The Imagine Breaker.

Seeing this, Touma's right hand started to have a clash with Kotaru's beam attack and with the sound of glass shattering heard, both of them struggling for a while until the blast explode in front of Touma. There were is a blast ashes in the ground and there is a large amount of smoke blocking Kotaru's view where touma is standing. After the smoke finally gone, he saw that Touma is still standing didn't got hit by the blast.

Kotaru already foresee this ever since he start having a spar with Touma, he know the capabilities of Touma negate his power, he smirked at him and saying "As always my attack wouldn't work against you Kamijou-senpai, well it's not suprising anymore since we always fought against each other." He created two spiral wind on his hand and throw it towards Touma, but this time he charge towards him as well transform into a purple energy and go flying towards him.

With Touma as well, he held his right hand in defense blocking the spiral ball and it come in contact and began to disappear with the sound of glass shattering be heard. What Touma didn't expect is that Touma see a purple light coming towards him, but he knows what it was since he always see Kotaru transform into that Electro energy. With that knowledge about him, he prepared to do his trusty right hook and when both of them get close, Kotaru transform back and showing that he was in his left hook stance with he himself boost his left hand using his pyro and electro power and began to throw his punch towards Touma and the same with Touma as well he throw his punch towards Kotaru and both of the fist collide with each other and the dust and dirt around them was blown away, heck even the air itself exploded by their clash. Both of them keep pushing their fist with Kotaru using his muscles because he aware that his right hand negating his power when his right hand contact him and struggling to win the clash. With Touma aside he keep pushing himself through the punch. Eventually since Kotaru's power is sealed, his muscle can't take it any more and slowly began weaker and weaker. It's only a matter of time until a punch struck his left cheek and after that, he started rolling on the grounds and finally he laying on his back on the ground.

Touma call out to him "Hey are you okay buddy?" Touma know that his punch might hurt so hard for him because without he knows, he throw everything he got in his punch.

Kotaru who is still laying his back on the ground answered him "Yeah I'm okay, it's just your punch really is powerful." He got back up from the ground, clean the dust on his body and touch his left cheek and he feel the pain and saying "Ouch, it might be a while for the pain finally gone."

Touma sighed in relieve, then saying "You know what's gonna happen. After all, I keep punching thugs on the face so many times you know."

Kotaru nodded, "That's true, but I really like to train myself to use my left hand properly in a fight and you were the right person for me to do that."

After that, both of them laughing after their little battle. With their weights on the last battle they did, they feel relieved that they manage to having a sparring session after 2 weeks. With everything finally left aside, Kotaru remind Touma saying, "Hey, you should go now, you don't want to miss the sale right?"

Touma raised an eyebrow "Oh god i almost forgot about it." He then picked up his bag that was in the ground and began to run the opposite direction and talk to Kotaru while running and say to kotaru "See you later Hikari."

Kotaru waved to him and Saying with a loud noice "See you later Kamijou-Senpai."

After that, he began to walk to the opposite direction as well and go back to his dorm room to get a rest. He began to take off his uniform clothes and change it with a short sleeve shirt with red color on the outer arm and white color on his front and back with a normal pants. After he change his clothes, he put his dirty uniform on the washer and began to wash it. After all of that to be done, he sit down on the bed leaning against a wall and start to watch a tv watching some news.

He began to thinking through his match with Touma before and mused to himself saying "I better start training harder, if not I might cannot keep up with him anymore." Even though he says that, he shouldn't tried to thinking hard about it since he doesn't like to keep pushed himself too hard just to make him stronger, he tried to focus watch the tv to try to forget about it.

*The next day*

After class that day, Kotaru is going to visit Saten's room because when he wanna talk to her when he was in school and after class, Saten's been avoiding her the whole time and he feel suspicious to Saten because she wore a hat in class and she go home straight with uiharu besides, she didn't invite Kotaru to go with both of them.

When he arrives in front of her room, Kotaru knock the door but instead of Saten who opened the door, Uiharu open the door with Saten still wearing her hat.

Kotaru greet them saying "Hey girls!"

Uiharu then greet back " Hi hikari san, is there something wrong?"

Kotaru replied with crossed his arm looking at Saten and answered "Well i'll be honest with both of you, i knew thay something is wrong here especially Saten." Kotaru walk inside the room, sitting down on the floor then asked her friend 'Why did you avoiding me for all day in school today? Did i do something wrong?"

Saten look to the right in order to avoiding eye contact with him to make sure he didn't feel suspicious and replied "you did nothing wrong Hikari-san, i'm just feeling distracted today"

By her tone, Kotaru realize that Saten's hiding something from him. He notice there is something that is thick and black on her face, so he decided to distracted her by looking up and pointing on the ceiling and say "Hey what's that up there?"

"Huh?" The girls immediately looked up and didn't see anything wrong.

Seeing this oppoturnity, Kotaru quetly go near saten, and in an instant, he swing his hand upwards and take Saten's hat and saying "GOTCHA!" But, after he did that, his eyes widened as he got a good look of her face see Saten has a thick eyebrows. After that, Kotaru burst into a laugh.

Uiharu and Saten frozen in suprised and shocked because they didn't expect for what was about to happen. But for worse Saten face turned into a Crimson red in an instant seeing that Kotaru burst into a laugh so loud because of what he see.

"HAHAHAHA I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT TO THINK YOU BECOME THE VICTIM OF THE LARGE EYEBROWS AHAHAHAHA." Kotaru speak while laughing and holding his sides. He knows about a rumor about a tokiwadai student getting a thick eyebrow, But he didn't expected that Saten become one of it's victim this make his laughter has doubled.

"S-Stop it, it's not funny at all!" Saten is flustered because she didn't expect Kotaru distracted her in order to take off her hat.

"I-i just c-can't believe t-that you've b-become one of them ha... Ha... Whew." Kotaru talked back between the laugh and slowly calmed down and finally talked again asking "So how is that exactly happened girls?"

"Uiharu began to speak "Well..." Uiharu started to explaining to Kotaru What happened during their visit yesterday from where Saten slipped into a puddle of water, Saten changing her clothes into tokiwadai clothes and got targetted by the culprit that is a girl with a large eyebrows, then try to caught the culprit by uiharu using the camera to track her eith the rest of the girls chasing her back and forth, and lastly she tried to attack misaka with a taser which is not effective while saying 'i hate all eyebrows in the world. After she finished her story, Kotaru began to laugh three times than before which is how he satisfied after he heard the story.

Saten show a cute pout looking at Kotaru saying "Stop it! It's not funny Hikari-san."

"Allright-allright i'll stop. Besides, who wouldn't be laughing after hear the story." Then he looked up and saying "If the whole class heard about this, it will become a rumor that a girl named Ruiko Saten has become the victim of thick eyebrows and now the rumor hunter become the rumor itself."

"Please don't say it to the class," Saten burried her face on her pilow then says "I can't face myself in the class if that happen."

Kotaru thumbd up and say "No worries, i won't go that far." Kotaru then pulled out his phone and called his dad. After a few dials his dad picked up the call and ask if he has something that could remove the special ink from teacher district 10 and his dad says that he has one and ask why he need it and Kotaru says saten become one of the victim and need to erase the ink on her eyebrow and his dad replied to him to come to his office to get it and put away his cellphone.

"Well Saten, looks like you're lucky my dad has one" Kotaru say while he pick himself up

After that, Saten instantly thightly hug Kotaru and with her watery eyes, she say to Kotaru "Thanks Hikari-san! I'm grateful for it"

Kotaru talked weakly says "N-No pro...blem but.. i... I ca..n't br.. breath!"

Saten look at him and realised how thight her hug is and she slowly lessen the hug says "Sorry about that."

"No worries. So uhhh..." Kotaru began to talk realised their position now "Can you let go of me?"

Saten realized that she just hug Kotaru and then she take her hands off of him and walked back with a flustered face stuttering "S-Sorry, i-i didn't m-mean to." Then she looked away from him. Same with Kotaru, he flustered about what happened and looked away too.

After a few moments, Kotaru walked out of the room saying "I'll get the ink eraser, i'll be back." And with that hr opened the door and closed it again leaving the girls in the room.

Saten and Kotaru started to wonder something in their minds "What is this feeling? Why did i feel embarrassed because of it?"
