Chapter 6: Urban Legends and Nano watch.
It was 5th July, Kotaru, Saten, Uiharu, Misaka, and Kuroko were now in Joshep's restaurant with a large black blanket above them because right now, Saten has been trying to talking about a scary stories with them.
everyone used their phone's light on her face to make a scary atmosphere while Saten start to tell the story "This is a true story about what happened to an upperclassman's firend's boyfriend. One humid night when he passed a deserted park, he was asked directions to the station by a woman who was loitering around" Everyone focused on looking at her while listening to the story. Saten looked to her friend's faces for a moment after that she continued "As he was kindly explaining the way to her," her eyes start to become focused "Looking somewhat distraught, she raised her arms…" Uiharu nodded focused on the story meanwhile Saten raised her hand and grip them in the air "and suddenly…"
Misaka asked in a scared tone "..Suddenly?" and Kuroko's mouth opened a bit with a bit of chills on her.
After that, Saten continued "took off her blouse."
Kotaru, Kuroko, and Misaka took a bit of time to process what Saten just said with Kuroko and Kotaru blinking at the same time. After a few moments both Kotaru and Misaka raised a blanket above them saying ""There's nothing scary about that at all!""
The blanket slowly fall down to Uiharu and Saten and finally closing their upper body.
Kuroko then says to them while holding her unique phone saying "Even though the atmosphere is scary, but with that kind of story has ruined that atmosphere."
Saten's talked to them while folding the black blanket saying "Isn't it scary if we experience it towards ourselves?" she holds the blanket in front of her and looking at Misaka, Kuroko, and Kotaru with her eyebrow show a focused face says "The city's legend about the stripping woman."
"Not scary." Misaka immediately answered.
"It's more like a pervert story for me." Kotaru added while at the same time, Uiharu get her laptop from her bag and start searching for something.
"I agree with Hikari-san." Misaka agreed.
"Then what about these stories?" Uiharu then put her laptop on the table and show it to them. Everyone leaning to see the screen, it shows the website called urban legend. After that Uiharu said "The error where the windmill spinning on the opposite direction!"
Then saten see one of the story on the website and read it out loud "Don't stand up between school district at 4:44 afternoon! You will be absorbed into the 'imaginer district number'!" after that she continued "The level upper that could be used to raise your level!"
Kuroko back sit down to her chair and sighed "Stop reading that nonsense Website like that."
"Besides, The city legends isn't that logical at all," Misaka added. "We live in Academy city after all."
"And besides that level upper one is disrespectful to every people that worked hard to raise their levels." Kotaru mused.
"You guys didn't have adventurous spirit." Saten complained.
"But, some rumors did really happened." Uiharu revealed.
"Example," Saten starts to read "A boy that has an ability to negate any esper abilities." After she read that, Kotaru and Misaka eyebrow twitched by hearing about it. "Really Academy City Variety right?" Saten finished her reading.
Misaka then questioned on her mind "A power to negate any esper abilities?"
Kotaru thinking in his mind and with amuse expression he talked in his mind "Heh, I never know he is popular in the urban legend."
Kuroko giggling and then said "There is no way that nonsense ability like that even existed, right Onee-sama?"
Misaka keep quiet looking at the screen for a moment and at the same time, everyone looked at her because of her quietness, and then Misaka realized they were looking at her, then she stand up and put her hands on her sides and with a prideful expression she says "T-That's right even if that exist, I want to fight that person ahahaha."
Kuroko looking at her wondered if Misaka knows about it, Misaka was about to continue to talk but got interrupted by kotaru.
"Actually.." Everyone started to look at Kotaru, "I know a person with that power."
Everyone surprised then cried out "REALLY!?"
"Yep, in fact that person is my friend outside my school." Kotaru revealed.
"Can you tell us more about that person?" Saten, Uiharu, and Kuroko begged
"For the truth, he is the only person that I can't defeat for once." Kotaru revealed
"W-WHa.." Kuroko surprised for a fact that Kotaru, the elemental burst of judgement lost against that person, then she asked in disbelieve "How is that possible? How are you losing against that guy then?"
"So the thing is.." Kotaru start to reply her "His fighting instinct was insane that he beat me so many times, heck I even trained with him that make me this strong now." Kotaru stop for a moment, then continued again "Besides, he has a good amount of stamina that he always dodge all of my attacks when I face him."
Meanwhile Misaka thinking that this person must be the spiky haired boy that try to help her from the thugs a months ago but something messed it up if her temper didn't interfere with him.
"He must be so amazing then." Saten still a bit surprised that her friend can't beat that person.
"He is." Kotaru agree with his friend, recall back about Touma action of helping people "Man, it would be amazing if he joined judgement."
"Why's that?" All girls asked him.
"Simple, he always helped people whether they asked or not. Once he saw someone need help, he will help that person and nothing can stop him from helping." Kotaru revealed.
"Woah, i would like it if that guy joined our branch if we could." Kuroko would like this person to join judgement especially when it comes to helping people and beating some rogue esper.
"Well, I know him for so long that he don't like to join judgement cuz it might gonna add some weight, but maybe next time I would like try to make him join if I could." Before everyone could respond, his phone ringing and it revealed a message from his mom that asking him to go to his dad's lab now because he has a new invention that he would love it.
"Who is that from, Hikari-san?" Kuroko asked
"It's from my mom," Kotaru replied, "She says that Dad has a new invention again that he want me to use it so she told me that i need to go to his lab now."
"Wait, your dad is a scientist?" Kuroko and Misaka asked in surprised because they were the only one in the group who didn't know about it.
"Yep." Kotaru grin and nodded to both of them "I'll let Saten and Uiharu tell you two about it since they have visited the lab with me so feel free to ask anything about it. Both of you got no problem with it right?"
"Not at all." Uiharu respond instantly.
"Same with me." Saten added.
"Allright then." He took his school bag and got up from the chair and started to leave the girls and says "Well, see you later girls."
"See you later Hikari-san." The girls say back to him.
After Hikari got out from Joshep's, the girls saw him start to fly away from Joshep's. After he's out of their view, Misaka and Kuroko started to ask about 2 of their friends who have visited Kotaru dad's lab and asked about it. Uiharu and Saten explain about the lab itself which has a good atmosphere about It was a good place for testing out some good experiment and all scientist there were good going person and friendly towards both of them. They even told the virtual chamber that his dad testing out with Kotaru and told Misaka and Kuroko how the virtual chamber works there which amazed Both of them when they see it on the spectator room. Misaka and Kuroko has their jaw down because they were surprised and amazed as well because his dad manage to make something like that. After they talked for a while, Misaka excuse herself want to read some manga on the free to read book store.

After Kotaru finally reach the lab, he got inside the lab and enter his dad's office and then he asked "Hey dad I'm here, so what kind of invention you got now?" He wonder why his mom says that he would love it.
"Oh you're here son, well I'll show you my new invention," he point out something on his right wrist and proudly says "The Virtual watch." The watch itself has a spinner around the circle on it that indicates everything on it. The watch color itself is blue and black with a screen that square shaped.
"Virtual watch?" Kotaru repeated.
"Yes son, this isn't an ordinary watch if you must know. It has multi-function besides show times." Then his dad use his finger to touch the screen on the watch and show a hologram coming out from the watch.
"Woah…" Was all Kotaru respond.
"if you must know, it can be used as a communication like calling your friend's phone number, setting a schedule, and also the most important one is create a weapon using your imagination." His dad explained.
"Yeah this is amazing and all, but if mom told me to be here, you want me to test it out right dad?" Kotaru asked.
"That's right son, you can go to the virtual chamber now. Your mom is waiting on the control room there." Kokoro said to him. "Here" he handed the watch.
"Allright then, I'll be going." He grab the watch, put it on his left hand and go inside the virtual chamber.
"Okay mom, let's finish this fast now." Kotaru want to finish to test this new invention as fast as he could.
"Alright dear, now just do like you usually do." His mom pressed the start button on the control panel and the virtual chamber is activated.
The creature finally spawned all over the room, Kotaru is pleased to know that he could finally imagine a weapon he liked to use. So at the first one he imagine a sword that he saw on an anime called Fate/stay night Unlimited blade works. He imagined the sword Excalibur like in that show and then a blue light comes out from the watch and it created Excalibur just like what he imagined but it shows a blue lines that draw a structure inside it as well. After the weapon has created, he swinged the sword to the bottom right to his enemies using his left hand and it slice the enemy with a clean cut and make the enemy shattered into crystals.
After that, he tried to infuse a wind element on the weapon and swing it again from right to left and it create a wind surge fly towards it's enemy. Finally, he try to create a bow that was infused with electro and the arrow as well infused it with a pyro power. Inside he wanted to create a caladbolg just like in the show but he is hestitant about it because from the show he watching, it create a massive explosion after it hit it's target so he don't have to create it now to avoid a damage the chamber can't regen. He jumped high to sky and try to aim the arrow towards the enemy and after the arrow has been shot, he saw a purple and orange-ish red light go in front of him and once it reach it's target, the explosion happened that makes kotaru blown to the wall because of the explosion and it created a big crater.
"I didn't expect the destruction would be that big." Kotaru admit, his power is really insane that he creates a big crater on the spot but the crater slowly gone because of the place damage regeneration. "But i guess that should be enough for the test right mom?"
"Yes dear, but you should be careful when you tried to use that power when fighting someone okay dear?" his mom want to make sure that his son didn't want to create a meaningless destruction.
"I'll try mom." Was all Kotaru says.
"Allright then dear, oh yeah your dad says that you can keep that watch with you since it might be useful in the future." His mom told him the information.
"Alright then, I'm happy to keep it." Kotaru walked to the exit door and says "See you later mom."
"Be careful on the way dear." His mom waved back.
Kotaru fly on the sky after he left his dad's lab and fly to his dorm room because it's already late now, but in the middle of the way, he heard a familiar scream that make him stopped in the sky and look at where the sounds came from. Kotaru land on the roof hiding himself to look at Touma because he saw that Misaka was standing behind Touma looking at him.
"It's a massacre…" Touma began to talk with a sad voice, then he raise a bunch of egg on his hand that has cracked inside the egg's lid in front of his face.
"My vital source of protein…" Touma continued, "After all this time lining up for hours…" Then Reflexively turn around while sitting on the ground and saw Misaka.
"Ah.." Was Touma could say at that moment.
"Ah.." Same with Misaka as well
"Well, this is awkward." Kotaru talked to himself while watching the scene but the next thing that happened was what he didn't expect for him to see.
"You had some nerve running off on me earlier!" Misaka point her hand towards him and talked with annoyed tone. "You left the troublesome job to me and went shopping!"
"Whether or not you make the special sale is a life and death for a poor student!" Touma retorted while sitting on the knee, swing the egg and show it in front of her "No way a Tokiwadai Ojousama would understand!"
"It was a huge hassle for me too!" Misaka fired back, "I had to wash her dirty skirt for her and then she went and called me a tsun-" Misaka stopped midway as her cheeks started to get redden because she realised what she was about to say to him.
"Tsun?" Touma asked with a confused expression on his face and suddenly a smoke coming out from her head and her whole face to her ear turned into a bright red.
"Man you're so dense Kamijou-senpai." Kotaru sighed and continued "So Misaka is the one he called biri-biri huh? Interesting."
Misaka still embarrassed and began to stammered "F-Forget it, we're going to have a duel!"
Touma bring down his hand that hold his egg and said "You say duel, but.. you've lost every time haven't you?"
"Eh no surprised there." Kotaru amused while he expected that she lost against him.
"Shut up!" Misaka looked to the left deny him "You haven't actually landed a blow on me yet, so I haven't lost."
"I bet Kamijou-senpai didn't even try to land a blow on her because you flinched when he tried to." Kotaru denied.
"When's this going to end then?" Touma asked.
"Obviously.." Misaka say while think about it. "When I win!" Misaka finished.
Touma sighed
"HEY!" Misaka yelled at him because of his sighed "Don't sigh at me like that!"
"If I was Kamijou-senpai, I would do the same." Kotaru imagine if it was him.
"I got it!" Touma then stand up putting his left hand on his sides and continued with a serious expression "If that'll make you happy, I'll take you on."
"OOOH, I would love to watch this happening." Kotaru say with a excited feeling.
Misaka expression shocked when she saw his serious face feels a bit afraid but excited at the same time. There is a moment of silent and somehow Kotaru feel chills run down to his spine.
Misaka show a serious expression as well "So you're finally taking this seriously."

It's already late, the moon is shining on the sky show a night blue light from the moon. Apparently, Kotaru didn't know that Kotaru and Touma usual spot for training was the place that they used to fight right now. Kotaru have to watch them fight from a bit far to make sure he didn't get spotted, so he use a binoculars to saw them from far away. Kotaru don't need to worry about hear what they say because his ears is sensitive so he could hear them from far away in the quiet night heck he even could hear a supersonic sound that was used to shoo away rats that one time he got waked up because it's too noisy. Kotaru saw Misaka on the right side near the river and Touma on the left side.
"We won't bother anyone else out here. I'm ready whenever you are." Then Touma say with a brave voice "Bring it on!"
Misaka started to grow a spark coming out from her hair and smiled because she can face Touma seriously "You don't need to tell me that. I'm the one who's been.. waiting for THIS!" Then she fired a lighting spear towards him and then a familiar shattering glass noise heard create a smoke around Touma.
When the smoke finally clear the view, Kotaru saw Touma holding his right hand in front of him like usual and know that attack is nothing for him since he manage to block Kotaru's Overload (Element reaction if fire and Thunder collide" Blast.
"Electric shocks don't work after all,huh." Misaka mused "In that case!" she fired an electricity go through the ground and gather an iron sands coming out from the ground.
"Ah? What's that?" Touma Asked in confusion.
Then the iron sand transformed into a sword on Misaka right hand
"Hey wait! Isn't using a weapon a bit unfair?!" Touma protested
"This was created using my powers." Misaka remind him and he saw a leaf going down to the iron sand sword and it cut the leaf into half which makes Touma gasped because he scared a bit.
"Man I didn't know electricity can be used like that." Kotaru mused because as the person who has electro power as well, he didn't think using it like that.
Misaka walked toward him slowly and said "I can make it like a chainsaw by vibrating the iron sand." Misaka started to walk faster and then run towards him "You might bleed a little if it touches you!"
"I somehow doubt I'd get away with just a little bleeding!" he ducked dodging her attacks and jumped back.
Misaka then chase him by swinging his sword too then Touma dodge to the right side of his and then he ducked again to dodge the next swings, Misaka keep swinging her sword but Touma keeps dodging her attacks like he knows where the attack will be aimed at him and he began to think 'Thanks Hikari. by training with you, I was able to dodge Biribiri attacks.'
Kotaru smiled know what Touma say in his mind because he can feel that Touma's thanking him for the training they did.
"You really good at dodging so far, so I'll just make it to this!" Misaka began to turned her iron sand sword into a whip and swing it to Touma's direction when he run away from her.
"The sword lengthened!" Touma still surprised by Misaka attacks when he looked back while running.
"Will it make it?" Misaka ask on her minds "There is no way he had time to dodge-"
Touma turned around and use his right hand blocked the iron sand sword that was charged towards him and the glass shattering sound heard again and start to make the iron sand turned back to normal.
"He turned the sand back to its original form!" Misaka said on her mind while surprised. "But I also expected this."
Touma face started to show a smug and says "L-Looks like I win…"
Misaka fired back "Oh, I wonder about that!" She began to use her electricity create an iron sand whirlwind above Touma.
"You can even manipulate the wind?" Touma asked looking above him. "Even this," the iron sand started to go charge towards him "No matter how many times you try, in the end it's the same!" then he swiped out his right hand to the right side and make the iron sand change it's direction and turn back to normal.
Misaka sneaking go behind him, and then grabbed Touma's right hand and lower it makes Touma surprised "Got you! Even if you can block electricity transmitted through air…" Misaka try to shock him but she didn't expect that the electricity won't flow "The current won't flow? What's with this guy?!" Misaka asked on her mind after that he looked at Touma who looked at her hand holding his right hand. And then Touma looked at her with a serious and bored expression.
"Well it's over, she lost the fight." Kotaru declared that Touma win the fight
Touma rised his left hand formed a punch to the air and make Misaka flinched showing a little bit of water coming out from her eyes show her vulnerable state using her left hand to shield her face.
"Oh god, I hope Touma didn't try to fake lost to her other wise she will be angry." Touma muttered feel scared if that happened.
To Kotaru suprised, Touma let her go and put his right hand to her head.
"Huh?" Misaka looked at Touma in confusion and stammered "W-Why did you do that? Why don't you attacked me when you have a chance?"
"I can't just attacked you when you became defenseless just like that!" Touma replied while he sighed. "Besides, just think that when I touch your head i already won this."
"WHY YOU!" Misaka become angrier she tried to magnetized the iron sand again but realized that she can't used her power "W-Why I can't use my power anymore? What did you do to me!?"
"Ah don't worry, once i didn't touch you using my right hand, your power will be back" Touma revealed.
Misaka relieved that her power isn't really gone at all. Since both of them haven't fighting now, she asked Touma "Hey, can you tell me about your power? I was curious how you were able to blocked my electricity ever since both of us met."
Touma replied "I would like to tell you, but to make it fair, you have to tell yours as well."
"It's a deal" Misaka replied.
"Alright then, my power is located only on my right hand which could negate anything supernatural when anything contact with it." Touma explained.
"So it's only located on your right hand huh?" Misaka repeated "I should have touch your left hand before, but with how fast your reaction was, I bet you would instantly blocked it with your right hand."
"Haha yeah so I guess this time I've won again." Touma mused "Anyway what about you? I know you are the electromaster so you should be level 3 or above."
"I'm glad you asked!" Misaka reach out to her pocket and pick a coin inside there and swing the coin to the sky with her thumb and asked him "Do you know what a railgun was?"
"Uhh yeah I know about i-" Touma then realised "Wait don't tell me you're-" Touma didn't finished his word when misaka launch the railgun to the river and create some explosion inside the water. Touma mused "So the one who always tried to beat me was the railgun huh?" Touma didn't expect that Misaka is the railgun in this whole time.
"That's right congrats you beat the level 5" Misaka congratulate.
"Huh if you're the railgun, why did you always tried to fight me everytime we've met?" Touma asked
"It's just that my status as level 5 being disrespect by you because you were claimed as a level 0." Misaka replied
"Well i can see where you're coming from." Touma mused "You know, how about this, we exchange phone number so we can make plans when we want to fight each other whenever i can as long as we planned it first?"
"You really mean that?" Misaka excitedly asked.
"Yeah I really mean it." Touma pulled a phone from his pocket. "Cmon, let's exchange number now."
"Alright then." Misaka pulled her gekota phone inside her skirt pocket.
Touma and Misaka finally exchange their phone number and then Touma said "Now when we want to fight, we can plans ahead."
"You know, I'm not only want to exchange your phone number because I want to fight you." Misaka replied and reveal "I want to be friends with you as well."
Touma stunned that this girl wanted to become friends with him so Touma asked "R-really? but why?"
"Well, the reason is that you talked to me like a normal girl not as my status as a level 5 which is something that I need." Misaka knew that Uiharu and Saten become friends with her because she know that they were looking at her status as a level 5 but Touma didn't think like that and treat her like a normal girl.
"Ah I see, well I will be your friends then." Touma accepted then he realized "Hey it's already late and it's past curfew already."
Misaka then realized "Oh no! I better go back home now." Both of them started to go to their own dorm after the meeting against each other.
"See you later Biribiri." Touma look to the back and waved her.
"Hey call me using my name!" Misaka didn't liked to be called biribiri by Touma.
Touma stopped from his walk and turn around and said "Well then, see ya Misaka."
"See you later um..." Misaka want to say goodbye but he still don't know his name.
"Well, it's Kamijou Touma" Touma informed her about his name.
"Alright then, See you later Kamijou." Misaka waved at him then turned around and start running to her dorm. Touma did the same as well.
On their way back, Misaka think that Touma isn't really that bad if you get to knew him really well while Touma think that Misaka would like to be friends with everyone but because of her status, she can't get many friends so Touma glad that he could be her friend.
Kotaru put away his binoculars get inside his watch. Since it was projected from his watch, the binoculars transformed into a blue lines and get inside the watch. After everything he sees, Kotaru start to fly back to his dorm because it's already late and he's hungry at that time.

Author note: the last part of misaka vs touma is different because i took it from the after the battle fanfiction by Calvinhobber. Which is what i would like to do.
