Chapter 11: Kotaru Full Power vs Touma.
10th July, Kotaru and the others are waiting for the arrival of the new judgement member that will worked with Konori, Kotaru, Uiharu, and Kuroko. Everyone's currently waiting for this new judgement member's arrival. Currently Kotaru is sitting on the couch with Saten on his right side meanwhile across the table, Uiharu sitting with Kuroko in the middle and Misaka on the right side on the couch.
When Saten looked at Kotaru, he has a wide grin of excitement, then Saten asked her crush saying "Hey Kotaru-kun, it seems that you really excited meeting the new member today." She noticed how happy that he's waiting for this person's arrival.
"Of course I would be happy Ruiko," Kotaru responded excitedly "From What Konori-san told me, the new member would be a boy which means I feel relieved that i won't be the only boy that worked in this branch!"
"Excited that bad huh?" Kuroko mused.
After they waited for a while, they heard a knock from outside their branch's door before the door swung open. The door revealed a familiar spiky haired boy who wear a orange T-shirt inside his school inform and they saw a judgement armband which they knew that he is the new member, but what they didn't expect was the new member is the one who can negate esper abilities himself, Touma.
Touma greeted to everyone in the room "Hi guys."
Kotaru is the only one who had recovered enough, asked Touma "K-Kamijou-senpai? You're the new member that will worked with us?"
"Yes I am the one that will be working in this branch from today." Touma admitted.
"Looks like we're gonna have no problem when it comes to fighting the reckless esper." Konori amused. "Please take a seat Kamijou-san." Touma walk to the couch where Kotaru and Saten is sitting and sit down on Kotaru's left side.
"I can't believe this idiot joined judgement now." Misaka muttered "How did you ended up joining judgement anyway?"
"Well…." Touma began to explain.
*Flashback*
At 15th July, Touma is having a class lesson like usual. When Touma is still studying in the class, Yomikawa-sensei came to his class and call him out to go with her to the teacher's lounge. Everyone in the class started to think that Touma might be in trouble doing something that was really bad that Yomikawa-sensei had to bring him to the teacher's lounge.
When they finally arrived to the teacher's room, Touma asked his P.E teacher "Is there something you need sensei?" Yomikawa-sensei didn't tell him why he got dragged to the teacher's lounge.
Yomikawa sensei was sitting on her desk bring out a judgement report, saying "This is something that I want to discuss Kamijou." Then Yomikawa-sensei handed him a bunch of Judgement paper that has a report about the Graviton bomb case that happened for 2 straight days, then she looked at him with serious eyes and said "I've been reading all of these graviton bombing incident that has happened for 2 straight days, and when I read all of it, I realized that you were involved stopping the culprit with that so known Elemental Burst 2 days ago and yesterday in Seventh Mist, when the bomb is about to explode, you jumped to blocked the explosion saved Kotaru Hikari the elemental burst along with Misaka Mikoto the railgun ace of Tokiwadai, one of the judgement girl and a little girl. Is this true?"
Everyone in the teacher lounge have heard about the news of the graviton bombing, but they didn't know that Touma was involved tried to catch the culprit and also saved the Elemental Burst and The Railgun which is a big news for all of them.
Yomikawa-sensei then asked him "If you manage to save them, what power do you possessed to do that and how did you do it?" Yomikawa want to know how did her student manage to do it because she knew that Touma is a level 0.
Touma is a bit hestitant, but he decided to admit it because there is no way for him to escape. He raised his right hand and then explain "It's my right hand sensei. My right hand has the power to negate anything that was supernatural when it comes to contact with it and that includes esper abilities and I have this power ever since I was born."
"WHAAT!" Everyone in the teacher's lounge was shocked. They didn't expect that someone with that kind of power, was labelled as a level 0.
Yomikawa was amazed, she knew Touma's power name, but she didn't know how his power works until he tells them now. Suddenly she realized something, and asked him away "If you have that kind of power, why are you labelled as a level 0 then?"
Touma then revealed "The Academy City can't detect my powers at all and I didn't even have any AIM fields which made me labelled as the weakest level 0."
Yomikawa nodded as the signs that she's understand. After a bit of thought, Yomikawa then said that Touma achievement should be awarded and Yomikawa also suggested that Touma have to join the judgement as well. Touma tried to denied it at first because it will be a lot of pain doing a judgement works, but Yomikawa told him that judgement is like a community service because they helped people in the city as well, which is suitable for someone like Touma. After a bit of thought, Touma thinks that his assistance would be a good chance for him at helping more people than before and finally, he has decided to accepted Yomikawa request.
*End of flashback*
"HAHAHAHAHAHA." Kotaru laughed holding his stomach while mused "I can't believe that Yomikawa-san has read my report of the graviton bombing incident."
"And whose fault is it hikari?" Touma said while he cracking his knuckle. Kotaru felt a scary aura emitted from Touma that made Kotaru stopped laughing. Kotaru know how bad it is if Touma decided to beat Kotaru up.
Now that it's silent, Kuroko use this oppoturnity to move away from the last topic, Kuroko asked Touma "So Kamijou-san, it seems that you already know onee-sama before all of us met three days ago. How did you two meet anyway?"
"Yeah, i wonder about that as well." Kotaru agreed, he never knew how Touma meet Misaka before.
Everyone looked at both of them, while Touma and Misaka glared at each other, asking internally who's gonna explained on how both of them met for the first time. Not having any more choice, Misaka sighed in defeat and decided to tell them.
"If you must know, I was out late one night and a bunch of guys started hitting on me" Misaka explained, "I was about to take care of those guys, but this guy suddenly show up tried to save me."
"That was really sweet Misaka-san," Uiharu mused "Kamijou-senpai rushing in tried to save Misaka-san like a knight in a shining armor, how romantic."
"You need to stop fantasizing like that Uiharu." Kuroko chastised
"This idiot really think that his plan would worked," Misaka added "Who really believed that he was the friend that I was gonna meet up with?"
"Those guys really did." Touma yelled at Misaka "My plan is to make sure everyone is saved without anyone ended up hurt, but you suddenly went biri-biri and made everyone near you get fried into crisps. If it wasn't for my right hand, I would be joining them as well."
"I only did that because there is one thing that really upset me!" Misaka responded "I agree with the first part, but is it really that necessary to called me childish!?"
"Allright I'm sorry that I called you childish at that time, but that overreaction that came from you was too much!" Touma retorted.
"Man, both of you really argued like an old married couple." Kotaru and Saten said in unison with a grin on their face much to Kuroko horror.
"Like hell that's gonna happened." Both Touma and Misaka denied.
Both Kotaru and Saten chuckling satisfied seeing Misaka and Touma reactions. Suddenly both Touma and Misaka realised that their face were close. If anyone ever dare to push one of them, they would accidentally get kissed. Misaka face started to get redden after realised what their position, Misaka slowly pull back and back to her seat while Touma returned to his seat normally.
"So, Kamijou-senpai…" Uiharu interrupted try to move past the yelling contest between Touma and Misaka, "A few days ago Hikari-san said that he never beat Kamijou-senpai for once, is that really true?"
"Well that's true," Touma admit, scratching his head "There is the time when both of us cross each other, both of us decide to train together whether both of us planned it first or not. We only settle our training by which one of us would get hit first and Hikari only focused on using his left hook because the plan of this training not only to make us stronger, it also trained both of our punches whether Hikari used his power or not."
Kuroko crossed her arms and replied to him, "Even though you said that, I still don't believe that you manage to beat Onee-sama and Hikari-san." Kuroko still thinking that it's impossible for someone like him to beat both of them.
"If that's the case, I think we should show them now." Kotaru responded, get up from his seat.
"Don't even think to use your power here, Hikari." Konori warned Kotaru.
"That didn't came to my mind anyway." Kotaru replied "I know a place that is safe for both me and Kamijou-senpai to fight."
"Where?" Everyone asked Kotaru.
"Uiharu, Ruiko-chan, you know the place right?" Kotaru asked obviously tried to made both of them remembered.
Saten eyes widened after a few moments, then she pumped her hands saying "Of course! The Virtual Chamber!"
The other girls except Konori eyes were widened, they remembered the time Saten and Uiharu explained the chamber after Kotaru left when they were at Joshep's.
Meanwhile Touma and Konori tilted their head in confusion and asked "The Virtual Chamber?" Touma and Konori didn't even know about that.
"Oh yeah both Konori-san and Kamijou-senpai isn't with us before." Uiharu realized, "The Virtual Chamber is the chamber that Hikari-san's dad has created for every esper to use as their training place. Every damage that happened inside the chamber could be recovered in an instant."
"Wait is your dad a scientist?" Konori asked shockingly "How come you never told me?"
"Well, you never asked about it hehe." Kotaru answered that simple, "Anyway we could go there now if you want."
Everyone get up from their seat and walked towards the door. Before Kotaru reach the door, suddenly the door flew open by itself, revealing Komoe-sensei and Fukiyose.
"K-Komoe sensei and Fukiyose!?" Touma said surprised "What are you two doing here?"
"Ah Kamijou-chan, since you finally joined judgement, both me and Fukiyose-chan has decide to pay a visit at your branch." Komoe said to Touma.
"I joined Komoe-sensei just because I wanna know how your worked place looks like." Fukiyose admitted.
"PFFFF." the girls snorted.
'K-Kamijou-chan!?' the girls holding their mouth to hold their laugh, didn't expect that his teacher looked like a elementary school because of her heights.
Komoe-sensei and Fukiyose looked around and they notice that most people inside here are girls. Fukiyose narrowed her eyes at Touma and angrily asked "So Kamijou Touma, could you explained why there is so many girls here?"
"Well most of these girls worked here," Touma explained, then he pointed out his hand to Saten and Misaka, "And these two actually only hanging out since their friends working here."
"Is that so?" Fukiyose asked Touma and he nodded, "Allright then, I believe you."
"Hmmm wait a second," Komoe sensei narrowed her eyes at the brown chestnut haired girl, she asked her "Excuse me, if you don't mind, what is your name?"
"W-Well…" Misaka trailed off, "My name is Misaka Mikoto."
Komoe and Fukiyose eyes widened, they didn't expect to see the railgun here. Fukiyose then asked her shockingly "W-Wait you're Misaka Mikoto!? The railgun, Ace of Tokiwadai!?"
"Y-Yeah it's me." Misaka respond "I'm also Kamijou's friend as well."
Komoe looked at Touma in shock while saying "Why didn't you tell us that you become friends with the railgun?"
"Because everyone's gonna have the same reaction when I reveal it." Touma admit.
"How did you become friends with her anyway?" Fukiyose asked.
"It's gonna take a long time to explain." Kotaru muttered.
After a few moments, Touma has finished explained his teacher and his classmate about how they meet for the first time and how they have ecounter time to time. Komoe and Fukiyose decided to go home after they explain that they're gonna go do something important for now.
Everyone arrived in front of the lab, some of Kotaru's friend who haven't visited Kotaru dad's lab was impressed by how big and almost futuristic his dad's lab really was.
"Wow, I know that your dad has a labolatorium, but I never thought that your dad's lab would be this big." Touma is amazed by how big it is.
"And this laboratorium looks at least 10 years ahead than most academy city's lab's." Konori added.
"Yeah it is," Kotaru admitted "At first when I visit my dad's lab it really surprised me so much because it would looked like a normal lab, but looking at this now, it is different than I thought it would be."
"Yeah Kotaru does act like that when he visited this lab for the first time." A voice which familiar for Kotaru, Saten, and Uiharu come from behind them, "That was a good memories coming from him, I still remember how his face looked like."
Everyone turned around and saw that Kotaru's mom is walking towards them, bringing some juice on her hand.
"Hi sweetie, is this all your friends that you bring here today?" Hisumi asked.
"Yeah mom, let me introduce to you some of my friend," Kotaru then gesture his hands to all of his friend one by one, saying "The one with glasses and a black hair is Konori, my judgement branch's chief. The next one is Misaka Mikoto, the one with a brown chestnut haired, the one with pigtails is Shirai Kuroko my judgement partner, and lastly this spiky haired boy is Kamijou Touma."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Hikari's mom." They greeted her at the same time
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you and all of you can call me Hisumi." His mom greeted them back, then she looked at the two girls with the sailor uniform clothes "Ah, it's good to see both of you again since the last visit."
"Yeah, it's good to see you again Hisumi-san." Uiharu and Saten chimed.
"It's good to see both of you again as well. "Kotaru's mom chuckling, she turned to Kotaru and asked "So is there anything you need sweetie?"
"Yeah, I want to use the virtual chamber because I want to show Shirai that Kamijou-senpai is stronger than me," Kotaru answer to the point, "So can we use it?"
"Well of course you can," Hisumi allowed, "But you have for a bit because your dad is still testing out the system scan function with the 7th ranked level 5, Sogita Gunha."
"Sogita Gunha?!" Misaka repeated.
"You met him before, Onee-sama?" Shirai asked her best friend.
"Yeah, though met isn't the right terms for it," Misaka admitted "I have fought that guy for once before, he catched my railgun using his teeth once."
"For real!?" Kotaru asked in surprised, "Man, I somehow have a bad feeling that he is battle thirsty level 5."
"You might don't wanna jinxed it, Hikari." Touma reminded.
"Well you're right. Anyway, let's go inside now!" Suddenly Kotaru grabbed Ruiko's right hand and walk inside the lab while dragging Ruiko.
Ruiko's blushed at his sudden action, but she decided to get along with it, enjoyed the warm of Kotaru's left hand while walking. Meanwhile, Touma, Misaka, Konori, Kuroko, and Uiharu gave a smile from behind to Kotaru and Ruiko because he took a chance to get closer with Ruiko. Everyone started to followed the former couple a few meters behind Kotaru and Ruiko.
"Oh my…" Kotaru's mom looked at Kotaru's friend asking "Are they finally going out?"
"No, they're still friends." They said in unison.
"Aww that's too bad," Hisumi disappointed "I thought that Kotaru finally confessed to her."
"But from what I see, Hikari-san and Saten-san grew more closer." Uiharu admit "2 days ago when it's lunch time at school, Saten-san excuse herself to go somewhere to eat her lunch instead in the classroom, I secretly followed her to the rooftop and from behind the door I saw both of them enjoy each eating lunch together."
"Wait really?" Hisumi asked while shocked, "Did they do something while they're alone?" She want to know if both of them have their quality time.
"Yeah, they did." Uiharu answered happily "I saw at some point when Saten-san show a worried expression at her, Hikari-san hugged her with his right arm and used his left arm to play with her hair and Saten-san enjoyed it."
Everyone's mouth opened. They didn't expect that Kotaru has made such a big moves on Ruiko which really is a bold move.
"Wow…." Hisumi said speechless, looked at Kotaru said on her mind 'You can do it Kotaru, win her heart!'
"Wow, nice move Hikari." Touma amused.
Right now, everyone catch up with Kotaru and Ruiko enter the control room. Kotaru greeted his dad "Hi dad."
His dad turned around and answered "Hi son, What brings you here?"
"I want to use the virtual chamber to show how powerful Kamijou-senpai really was." Kotaru said to his dad.
"Well sure," Kokoro allowed, "I already got the report for the system scan function, so feel free to use it."
Suddenly the door on the left side of the room opened and reveal a spiky black hair guy wear a bandana on her forehead and wear his jacket like some sort of cape. He walked to Kotaru's dad saying "Man, that system scan in this chamber is full of guts!"
"Thanks for helping us out for testing out the System scan function." Kokoro said gratefully, "Now we have a good amount of data which should be enough to determine is it good or not."
"No problem sir, I'm glad to be able to help." Sogita looked to the right and saw Kotaru, he realized who he was because of his popularity in judgement. Sogita walk closer in front of Kotaru and asked "Hey you must be the Elemental Burst, Kotaru Hikari am I right?"
"Yeah that would be me." Kotaru admit.
"Finally! I've found you The Judgement Elemental Burst!" Sogita said excitedly "I've heard the rumor about you as the one who can control three elements at once, so I want to fight you so show me your guts!"
Kotaru backed up a little bit, put his hands up and said "I understand that you want to fight me, but can you wait for a bit? I want to show one of my friends to make sure that she believed that this spiky haired boy is the one person I cannot defeat, I'll fight you after I show everyone about how strong Kamijou-senpai really was, deal?"
Sogita crossed his arm, he nodded and said "Alright then, It's a deal!"
Kotaru sighed in relief, "Good then, now everyone go to the spectator room to watch our fights. Uiharu, Ruiko, both of you guide everyone to the spectator room while Kamijou-senpai, you follow me to enter the chamber."
"You got it boss!" Uiharu and Ruiko said in unison.
"Okay!" Misaka, Kuroko, Konori, and Touma said in unison as well.
Sogita give Kotaru a thumbs up and said "You got it! Show me the guts you've been holding!"
"Uhhh… oookaay I guess?" Kotaru said wryly didn't know what guts does Sogita really meant, then something snapped "Oh yeah I almost forgot!" he walk towards Ruiko then he handed the seelie gadget saying "Hey could you please take care of this?"
"Uhhh what is this Kotaru-kun?" Saten asked confused.
"Try to pull the string while you hold the glass of it." Kotaru replied.
With no hestitation, Ruiko pulled the string and the Azure sea colored seelie came out from inside the bottle, the seelie float to Ruiko's cheek and nuzzling her.
Ruiko turned her head to Kotaru and asked happily "I-It's sooo cuuute, what is this Kotaru-kun?"
"This is my new pet Ruiko-chan," Kotaru explained, "This thing is called a mini seelie, I got this thing yesterday as a package coming from another dimension."
"This thing is reaaaly cuuute!" Ruiko hold the seelie with her left hand and petted the seelie using her right hand made the seelie let out a cute happy noises.
"C-Can I pet it?" Misaka asked with her can't control her urge to pet the seelie because it looks cute.
"Sure, go ahead." Kotaru allowed.
Misaka immediately petted the seelie, which made her show a happy face. The others also pet the seelie, but when Touma was about to pet the seelie, he stopped Touma's right hand and remind Touma to use his left hand instead of his right hand because the seelie itself is a manifestation of pure energy.
When the seelie had enough petted, the seelie fly to Kotaru want to followed him, but Kotaru said to seelie "Hey I'm going to have a match with one of my friends, right now you go with my friends watching from a safe place okay? It will be dangerous for you to stay close." As soon as Kotaru said that, the seelie nodded to Kotaru and start to fly to the top of Ruiko's head and rested himself on top of Ruiko's head.
"Looks like that seelie has a new spot to rest itself Saten-san." Everyone giggled at the implication which made Ruiko blushing.
"Okay enough of that." Kotaru snapped from his giggling "Let's go now."
Everyone did what Kotaru just said, Touma followed Kotaru through the left door of the control room that leads Touma and Kotaru to get inside the virtual chamber while Ruiko and Uiharu guide their friends and Sogita to followed both of them to get inside the spectator room.
After Touma and Kotaru got inside the Virtual Chamber, Kotaru and Touma positioned themselves a few meters away facing against each other tried to get into their usual stances when both of them facing against each other.
Meanwhile Misaka, Kuroko, Uiharu, Ruiko, Konori, take a seat that is served on the spectator room while Sogita stand up near the window in front of them waiting for both of them started to fight. Everyone except Sogita and Misaka is curious how strong strong Touma really is since they wasn't sure if Touma is really that strong.
Kotaru's dad standby in his control room, try to start the virtual chamber training mode. After the Virtual Chamber has finally activated into a training mode, His dad said from the speaker "Okay both of you can fight now!"
"Allright!" Kotaru pumped his hand on the right and left side and slowly, something white appeared behind Kotaru left and right side, "It's time to show you, MY FULL POWER!" Kotaru body then covered by a Very light bluish green, Orange-ish red, and a Viola Purple Vortex around him.
Touma crossing his arm in front of him, try to blocked the shockwave that came from Kotaru, everyone on the spectator room jumped from their seat and the seelie fly from Ruiko's head fly closer to the window and look at Kotaru from the window in front of him.
"W-What is going on?" Konori asked while she's stunned.
"T-This is!" Kuroko remembered the time she saw Kotaru's doing the last system scan on the Judgement training field, she recalled "This is the midway of him transformed into his full power."
"His f-full power!?" Ruiko and Uiharu stuttered.
"I wonder how his full power looks like." Misaka wondered excitedly.
"WOAAAH," Sogita amazed "I feel a lot of guts coming from Hikari-san!"
Everyone focused to looked at Kotaru. When the vortex around Kotaru finally disappeared instantly, they saw Kotaru has a 6 sides seafoam green colored wings shaped like a kite floating behind him. His wings also has 4 circles inside it that has purple color in the outer side and the orange-ish red color on the center of the circle. His hair is getting spiked up with purple and orange-ish red quils on his hairs with Kotaru is covered with Seafoam green, Orange-ish red, and Viola . Everyone is stunned to see how insane Kotaru's appearance looks like.
"Woaaah, so cool!" Saten and Uiharu is impressed.
"He looks amazing!" Konori praised Kotaru's full power appearance.
"Even though I already saw this, it still give me chills when I looked at it again." Kuroko admitted.
"That form of Hikari-san really give me chills as well Kuroko." Misaka replied while sweating a bit.
"Hikari-san form looks amazing! I could feel that form contains a lot of guts inside it!" Sogita said.
Touma who have manage to keep standing after the shockwave were stunned and scared at the same time, he asked "Oi Hikari, if you used your full power against me, I might have died!" Touma worried that Kotaru's attack is going to killed him especially this is his first time fighting against Kotaru's full power.
"Don't think something like this," Kotaru began to charge his wind, fire, and lighting ball on both of his hand while doing the Kamehameha stance, "IS GONNA STOPPED YOU AT ALL!" Kotaru fired the ball from his hand and it turned into a three colored spiraling blast charge towards Touma.
Touma raised his right hand with his palm blocking the blast that's coming to him. surprisingly the blast didn't vanish instantly because the blast is still keep going. Touma decide to crush the blast with his right hand and the blast suddenly shattered into a million piece of lights floating around Touma and Kotaru.
Everyone inside the Spectator room was shocked from what they just witness. Everyone is speechless don't know what to say after they saw The blast that's coming from Kotaru shattered into a piece of lights in a instant after Touma crushed it.
"I… I really thought I was going to die." Touma mused while breathing heavily after blocking and crushed Kotaru's blast.
"Hehe I told you it's not gonna stopped you at all." Kotaru said, Kotaru put his left leg to the behind and also gather his strength to his left hand while exclaimed "Let's settle this with our fist like usual!" after he said that, Kotaru's left fist has covered in three layered energy of wind, fire, and electricity that has gathered. After that, Kotaru began to fly towards Touma, meanwhile Touma started to run towards Kotaru at his fastest with his remained stamina.
When Kotaru and Touma got closer, they throw their punch against each other and their fist finally clashed. Both Touma and Kotaru Struggling pushed themselves to their limit, Kotaru slowly began to push Touma's right hand and began to show a sign of Kotaru's winning. When Touma almost going to lost the fight, suddenly Touma pushed himself break his limit and pushed back Kotaru's punch at a full force especially the energy didn't disappeared when Touma's right hand came in contact with Kotaru's left hand. Slowly, Kotaru punch become weaker and weaker because of Touma's full force against him. Kotaru finally lost the grip of his left hand and gave Touma the advantage of winning with Touma punch Kotaru in the face and knocked him to the wall behind him create a crack on the wall and his wings instantly faded and slowly fall to the ground. After Kotaru finally reach the ground from the fall, Kotaru become unconscious from the damage he received from Touma lay down on the ground on his front.
