The City Of Musutafu.

The City's Outskirts.

Musutafu Nature Park.

The musutafu nature park was a nature conservation project started by a former major of musutafu city who desired to be remembered by the people long after his time in office. The major bought a medium-sized jungle's worth of unused land outside the city's outskirts to fulfil this goal. Once the property was officially recognised as city property, the ambitious mayor wasted zero time turning the area into a diverse ecosystem where citizens could come and enjoy the beauty of nature.

The major had even introduced various predators to keep a natural balance in the park; however, areas, where these animals hunted and lived were sectioned off from the public. Only those who had gone permission from city hall would be allowed to enter those sections of the nature park. The dangerous area in question had chain-linked fences surrounding them with warning signs telling anyone that wondered near that the other side of the fence was home to dangerous predators and thus should be avoided by civilians.

It went without saying that not everyone listened to the warnings and foolishly wandered into the sections containing the predatory animals. The idiots believed that their untrained quirks would be enough to protect themselves from the park's carnivorous wildlife. As one might expect, these fools always got themselves gravely injured from the creatures that lived in the restricted areas of the forest. The major responded by turning the fences into electric ones and locking the gates with reinforced locks. The mayor believed that those were the only steps needed to prevent further incidents and washed his hands of the entire situation.

However, the politician forgot that people could just use their quirks to get around the fences or simply obliterate them. Unfortunately, the mayor had left office days before such incidents occurred. The man's predecessors only cared enough to maintain the main sections of the nature park, thus leaving the damaged fences to slowly rust away into bits of useless scrap metal. Luckily the predators never left their usual hunting grounds as there was plenty of game and territory to satisfy their needs. Although rare, a few heroes patrol the forest just in case something goes wrong inside the massive woodland.

Musutafu nature park was also a self-sustaining ecosystem where hundreds of people visited all year round to enjoy nature's beauty up close and personal. The park even had a gigantic lake near the centre where it was artificially altered to suit ocean-based lifeforms so the public could witness sea creatures without visiting an aquarium or going to the sea to observe them. Machines designed to maintain the artificial environment required monthly maintenance and was where most of the forest's maintenance budget went.

All in all, the park was one of the city's most fantastic attractions. Unfortunately, the musutafu nature park was about to receive a new alpha predator, one that would quickly rise to the top of the park's food chain.

Artificial Oceanic Lake.

A Japanese spider crab, one of many living within the small artificial ocean, lazily walked across the lakebed in an endless search for food. A school of anchovies swam near the giant crab and snatched one from the school without giving it a second thought and proceeded to devour the unfortunate anchovy. The school of tiny fish, after realising what had just happened to their friend, swam away in a panic as they didn't want to join their companion in the ravenous anthropoid's stomach.

The world's largest crab stared in the direction that the anchovies went for a moment before walking in the opposite direction to continue hunting for fresh prey. The anthropoid knew that the sun setting was the perfect time to hunt as the annoying mammals that often gathered around the edge of it's home wouldn't be walking around, scaring off potential prey. The mammals that the crab can vaguely recall being named as humans would sometimes leave delicious food when they left, so it was always a good idea to exit the lake to check for any spoils they abandoned on the ground.

The crab grumbled as the tiny fish it usually hunted stayed away from the lakebed. It would probably have to consider eating some of the plants as journeying into the deeper parts of the lake was not a wise idea, especially not with the more remarkable predators lurking out there. They wouldn't hesitate to make a meal out of it. The frustrated crab moved towards some seaweed with the intent to eat bits of it only to pause midway to the plant when the lake currents carried along with the smell of something rotting.

The crab's pincers clicked together merrily as the smell meant that more appetising food was nearby. The anthropoid abandoned the seaweed and headed towards the source of the rotting smell. A few of its smaller kin had the same idea, yet with a couple of threatening displays, the other lesser spider crabs left the area allowing the original to continue its search in relative peace. A few minutes of searching rewarded the giant crab with the sight of a rather sizeable half-eaten fish that was laid motionless in the shallow area of the lake.

The hungry anthropoid gurgled happily at the find as such a meal could fill its stomach for hours. The crustacean eagerly walked over to the rotting fish corpse, fully intending to eat the whole thing preferable before another of its kind showed up as neither it nor its kin would give up such a prize without a fight. Once arriving at the corpse, the crab greedily began ripping off bits of flesh, never questioning how the dead fish got there nor considering why a predator would leave its kill half-eaten. Perhaps if the cab was smart enough to have asked these questions, it might've avoided the fate about to befall it.

"Splash!"

The crab screeched when a boney white-clawed foot suddenly burst into the artificial saltwater; before the crab could even attempt to run away, the claws latched onto its body. The anthropoid was pulled out of the lake, revealing the insectoid form of Izuku Midoriya, who was hovering above the shallows with her prey held tightly within her clawed feet. The crab attempted to use its pincers to force Izuku to release it from her hold; however, Izuku was far more intelligent and faster than the crustacean; she ripped off the pincers and quickly proceeded to devour them whole.

The captured and now helpless crab screeched in pain whilst Izuku soared away from her fishing spot. A nearby tree served as the Chimera Ant's temporary perch as she proceeded to slowly devour the spider crab while it was still alive. The anthropoid's legs would twitch wildly as nerve endings were still firing electrical signals throughout the remains of the dead spider crab.

"The fish corpse lure was a great idea," hazy thoughts filled Izuku's head as she bit into one of her prey's legs. "I've captured far more seafood than I ever thought possible with those traps." Several crabs and other types of scavengers had fallen for the bait she left out in the shallows. There were several other such traps scattered around the entire lake. Izuku also managed to catch some common types of birds and a few squirrels that had been running through the treetops, gathering nuts in preparation for the winter months.

As she devoured the last meaty bits of the spider crab, Izuku's antenna picked up the vibrations of a human approaching the lake. An annoyed frown graced her lips; the vibrations indicated that whoever was following her was only a few minutes away and rapidly closing the distance between them. She would've been angrier at this person for interrupting her hunt for prey. However, the spider crab provided the remaining nutrients she needed to start the hive; now, all Izuku needed to do was find a suitably hidden location to safely birth the first batch of Chimera Ants.

"That cave I found hidden by some overgrown bushes could be a good temporary shelter." It was also two miles southeast of the lake, meaning she'd have easy access to plenty of fresh meat. There were also plenty of animals living near the cave; her children could hunt those during the day to avoid the humans that would visit the musutafu nature park and hunt the sea creatures at night when the humans return to the city.

With a destination set, Izuku left her tree perch and soared off towards the hidden cave. The fresh, unspoiled air gently brushed against her wings as the Chimera Ant left the lake area, and not a moment too soon as All Might, still in skeletal form, rushed out into a massive clearing near the lake's edge. The no.1 hero hurriedly scanned the area for Izuku Midoriya only to curse when he saw zero signs of the Chimera Ant. The symbol of peace had been chasing after Izuku for hours now and was still no closer to saving the teenager from herself than when he started.

All Might searched around the lake for clues as to where young Midoriya had gone. After spending a couple of minutes investigating the lake's surroundings, the symbol of peace found the tree that she had been perched upon. Snapped tree branches and tiny remains of crab shell told All Might that Izuku had been up within the trees eating a crab and had taken off somewhere else after finishing her little crustacean meal. Another curse escaped the no.1 hero has the warmth he could feel coming off the shell informed him that Izuku must've recently left the lake.

"Dammit, I must've missed her by a couple of seconds." All Might removed his boney hand from the crab remains. The no.1 hero gaze shifted towards the sky in the hopes of catching sight of the Chimera Ant, only to be greeted with an empty, clear blue sky. Another quick search of the lake led to All Might finding the half-eaten fish corpses resting within the shallows, the symbol of peace frowned at the sight of the slowly rotting corpses yet was beyond thankful that none of them was human.

"Even while being controlled by her instincts, she can still come up with basic traps." He'd counted no less than seventeen of such traps, which were now being devoured by wandering scavengers. "I'll have to remember this when I confront young Midoriya." Past experience taught the no.1 hero the importance of knowing your opponents' movements, abilities, and motives so he could come up with an effective plan to defeat them without endangering any innocent civilians that might be near a battlefield.

All Might grunted in frustration when he saw the sun setting over the horizon. The thought of searching the entire forest for the Chimera Ant whilst it was nighttime wasn't an attractive one since nocturnal predators would be waking up soon, and he didn't want to run into any of them while in his skeletal form. The no.1 hero sighed, withdrew his cellphone from his pocket, and inputted the number for the principal of UA high school. The symbol of peace didn't like the idea of getting others involved with the situation, but with night falling fast and him unable to transform, his options were sadly limited at the moment.

Besides, young Midoriya's safety was far more important to All Might than his sense of comfort. The phone rang for a few moments before principal Nezu picked up on the other side; the no.1 hero greeted Nezu before explaining the situation to the UA principal.

"My, you've certainly gotten yourself into quite the pickle, All Might." Principal Nezu calmly told his future employee while the sound of papers being moved could be heard in the background. The mouse/bear/thing had probably been doing some paperwork before All Might called to inform him of the situation.

"I'm well aware of the situation at hand, sir." All Might replied while sitting upon a park bench. "And that's why I called you. I need help from some of the other teachers to find young Midoriya." The mouse/bear hummed thoughtfully before responding to the world's symbol of peace and justice.

"I understand," Nezu signed some paperwork while sending a text message to Present Mic and Midnight, incoming them of the situation and requesting that they get to the musutafu nature park as quickly as possible. "Two of our faculty will be arriving to assist you as quickly as possible." The duo was relatively experienced with capturing people whose quirks had gone out of control. Nezu would've also sent Eraser Head; unfortunately, the underground hero was out working on a case and annoyingly wouldn't answer his cellphone until either his task was completed or the night finally ended.

All Might smiled with relief at having the assistance of UA faculty. "Thank you, principal Nezu; I'm sure young Midoriya will be grateful for the help once she's regained control of herself." The girl was a major hero fan and would probably freak out when she met the UA teachers that came to assist in finding her. The no.1 hero made a mental note to ask his fellow heroes to gift young Midoriya with an autograph after this whole mess was sorted out. The symbol of peace planned to give one himself as she definitely deserved something nice after this crazy mess.

"Oh, I'm sure she'll be more excited than grateful when she sees Present Mic and midnight." The mouse/bear said in an amused tone as his phone showed a reply message from his two faculty members who wrote that they'll be arriving at the nature park within the hour. "Now, please be sure to be extra careful as your time limit is up, and the predators that I can recall living at the park can be rather territorial." Nezu knew much about the park since the pro hero kept a close eye on such places to ensure that the humans who cared for the animals weren't mistreating them.

All Might cough up some blood. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind, sir," he ended the phone call, got up from the bench and started to head towards the forest exit. Once the other pro heroes arrived, he could discuss how to construct a proper plan to search the entire forest as quickly as possible since there was no telling what Izuku was doing within the woods at the moment.

"Just hang on for a little while longer, young Midoriya," the no.1 hero frowned with determination. "Soon, other pros will come to help and then we'll save you." The symbol of peace travelled through the forest without encountering anything remotely dangerous. Once outside of the nature park, All Might found himself another bench to sit upon and, with the sound of joints loudly cracking from the stress of running for hours, he calmly began waiting for his fellow heroes to arrive.

Meanwhile, with Izuku Midoriya.

The soon to be Chimera Ant Queen surveyed the cave's surrounding with an analytical eye. The entrance to the shelter might've been on the small side. Yet, the inside was rather impressive, with a long tunnel going further into the earth and possessing enough space that she and her future brood could move about the area without difficulty. The cave system was also relatively dry, which was good since Izuku didn't want to deal with the smell of wet earth or anything plants or mushrooms might've grown in a cave.

"Yes, this will do nicely," Izuku nodded in satisfaction whilst removing her clothes since she didn't want to dirty them during the birthing process. "While not suitable for a permanent hive, it'll serve adequately as a temporary birthing ground for my first generation of Chimera Ants." Upon stripping out of and folding her clothes, Izuku placed the articles of clothing within her backpack and set them behind some large rocks to keep them safe. The naked Chimera Ant stretched outwards, allowing for the cool night air to gently caress her exoskeleton.

If she wasn't being controlled by her instincts, Izuku would've blushed up a storm at the idea of getting naked while in a forest. However, with those instincts currently in control all, she thought on the matter was how nice the wind felt against her exoskeleton. The Chimera Ant enjoyed the cool breeze for a few more moments before heading deeper into the cave. Her instincts told that the first birthing was always the most tiring, and she'd rather not have to fight off another predator after laying the first set of eggs that would grow into the hive's first warriors.

Moments after disappearing into the darkness, Izuku's pain-filled screams echoed throughout the cave as she laid the first ten eggs that would, within two weeks, hatch into full-grown Chimera Ants. Several curses that would've made even the worse villain blush like an innocent child roared out from the darkness as Izuku Midoriya fought through the pain to safety birth the first generation of Chimera Ants.

This night was the start of Izuku Midoriya's reign as queen of the Chimera Ants.
