Chapter 23: A part of who we are.
"It's been a while, Mii." The greasy red hair male said.
Touma, Mikoto, and Kuroko got stupor from the sentence but got intense when Konori said in a kind of manner.
"Senpai..." Konori talked," so you're still alive.
"I guess so." The man mused.
Mikoto and Kuroko looked at each other, asking on their thoughts why they know each other.
"Why? Why didn't you even try to contact me in this whole time?" Konori asked in upset before she looked down sadly, "I thought you already..."
Both of them exhange a look for a moment before Kurozuma's eyes drifted to the judgement armband Konori wore. Konori immediately tried to hide it with her arms but she's already too late.
Kurozuma laughed quietly before he started to walked away.
"Don't worry," he said as he walked past Konori, "I could easily dissapear again."
"Senpai!" Konori yelled.
When Kurozuma is almost close to Touma, both of their eyes met for a second. Touma don't know, but he feels like there is something familiar about Kurozuma, it felt like both of them has already met before.
After that, Touma could only looked at the man himself, leaving the area where the group is standing right now.
"Senpai..." Konori called him quietly.
The next day, everyone has gathered at joshep's to have a lunch, but index decide to stay at Ruiko's dorm and watch Televisoon since Ruiko has left her food inside the fridge.
"Konori-senpai and Kurozuma know each other?!" Ruiko yelled in shock.
"That's right," Mikoto answered, "but i'm not quite sure though."
"But he's a big spider boss," Kotaru pointed out, "How do they know each other?"
"You're right, but i still don't know about it." Mikoto replied while stirred the straw on her drink.
"But why would she friended with him?" Uiharu asked.
"She know about a person who attacks an innocent girl alone?!" Ruiko asked again.
"I-It's not that Kurozuma," Mikoto corrected becore she put her finger on her forehead, "It's not that i mean..."
Suddenly Mikoto looked at Kuroko who take sip of a cup right next to her.
"Hey Kuroko! You help me explained about it too!" Mikoto requested.
"Love is blind." Kuroko said, "i don't really like to talk about this case"
"UUUUUGH This is made me curious so bad!" Ruiko complained as she put both her hands behind her.
"If that's the case, let's go meet her right away now!" Ruiko conceded.
"Well..about that..." Uiharu trailed.
"Konori-senpai hasn't come back to the branch at all." Kotaru said giving our some information.
"Eh?" Ruiko said in shock.
"For real?" Mikoto asked.
"Can't you contacted her at all?" Hondo asked for confirmarion.
"I tried to contacted her 6 times but her phone is inactive." Kotaru confirmed.
"It's not like her at all." Kuroko mused, "It's useless to kept talking about it."
"If that's the case, i know someone who could help us on this." Touma admitted.
"Who?" The group asked in curiousity.
"Hello again, Kamijou-san. It's nice to meet you again."
"Yeah, same to you Yanagisako-san." Touma replied with a nod.
"Ok when did you know about Yanagisako-san, senpai?" Kotaru asked.
"I decide to visit Konori yesterday so that's why i know about it." Touma explained.
"Anyway, is Konori-senpai here?" Misaka asked.
All of you must be Mii's kouhai right? Yanagisako asked, "Sorry, but she's haven't come back home yet."
"I see." Misaka said dissapointed, "Man, i really eanted to asked about Kurozuma so bad."
Upon hearing Kurozuma's name, Yanagisako raised her eyebrows suprised that the students wanted to asked about kurozuma.
"Well, it can't be helped at all." Kotaru, and Uiharu said in unison.
'I guess we should go look somewhere then." Hondo said before they got interrupted by Yanagisako.
"Wait." Yanagisako stopped the students.
"Eh?"
After that, the group enter the dorm and let them get in comfortable positions. Uihsru, Kuroko, Ruiko, and Mikoto sat at the kitchen table while Kotaru, Touma, and Hondo sat on the floor.
"Jeez, i can't believe she made her junior's worried about her." Yanagisako said in disbelieve as she gave the girls drink on the table.
"Ahh it's ok." Misaka said.
The girls pick up the drink on the table before yanagisako suddenly said, "So Kurozuma is back huh?"
The girls stopped drink when they heard that and Uiharu choked on her drink immediately.
'I can't believe he's still alive." Yanagisako mused.
"You know Kurozuma?!" Mikoto asked in disbelieve jumping out of the seat.
"Em, what is the relationship between Kurozuma and senpai?" Ruiko asked jumping out of her seat as well.
"Well not suprising for me since she told me that she had a complicated history with Big Spider." Touma admitted.
"What do you mean by that?" Kotaru and hondo asked.
Touma began to explain about his visit to Konori's dorm yesterday, he tell them about what he got from Konori. He told his friend that Konori was a member of big spider once which made the room went silent for a moment. Afterwards, all hell broke loose.
"WHAT?!" The girls, Kotaru, and Hondo yelled in shock.
"I didn't expect that at all." Kotaru mused in shock.
"Same here." Hondo agreed with Kotaru.
"Impossible! There's no way it's true!" Ruiko protested.
"But she's a member of judgement member." Uiharu pointed out," How is it possible?"
"It really looks like that, she's also deliquent before." Yanagisako pointed out.
"Deliquent?" Mikoto repeated.
"I wasn't intented to talked about someone's past," Kuroko began to talk, "But Konori senpai is a level 3 esper. She must have all kind of different choices to do something else, but why did she decide to hang out with the skill-out who don't have any power at all? Someone like here has no place among a gang of Level 0s."
"This time, that's not simply the case Shirai-san." Touma countered, "She told me the other day that she first ran into Big Spider when she hit a wall with her ability and was stuck as a Level 2."
"That's true," Yanagisako confirmed, "The frustation was too much for her to be handle. The old Mii felt that she didn't have any place where she belongs at all. At that time.. She met the people with full of brilliant. They might be a gang of skill-out, but they only a gang that always goof off. Of course i was worried for her at the beginning. I asked her 'Does that place was really important for you to even hide your power?' But she answered, 'Big spider was the place where i could be myself.' Mii has said those words before."
"A home huh?" Ruiko mused to herself before Ruiko and Kotaru looked at each other. Ruiko gave him a warm smile for the happiness he gave to her. Kotaru also immediately gave her a warm smile, understand what she's thinking. They also looked at Uiharu, their best friend in school and their classmates and Uiharu smiled back at them.
"They are being exiled from their search on finding thier own identity," Yanagisako continued, make Ruiko, Uiharu, and Kotaru looked back at Yanagisako, "That's what always haunted the people who entered Academy City, maybe Mii also felt that problem for once."
With what Yanagisako just said made Kotaru thinking in his thought. He asking to himself just what would happen if he didn't met Ruiko and Uiharu in his life, thinking what would happen if Touma was the one who lost his memories rather than Index that sacrificed her memories and saved Touma from the memory loss, he thinking what would have happened to him when he himself decide to still live in Kyoto where he was born and getting picked on by the people that always looked down on him because of his power, he continue to think what woul happened if Kotaru didn't unlock his power at all which made him wonder what happened to both himself and Hondo will both himself and hondo be here right no and he also thinking what would happen if he didn't join judgement and never met Touma accidentally, will everything be the same? Will he really be happy at all? Will Touma won't get friendlier with The group if he didn't made Touma joined Judgement at all? All of his thoughts got broke off his when he heards Mikoto talked.
"But, fell into one problem only once." Mikoto argued much to everyone shock.
"Onee-sama.." Kuroko called her.
It was late in the afternoon and the group had just left Konori and Yanagisako's dorm. There was an odd tension in the air as they walked in silence. The only sounds that could be heard was the neighboring traffic.
"I don't understand." Mikoto said out of nowhere, stopping in her tracks.
"What don't you get at all?" Kuroko asked.
"I already shocked Konori-senpai used to be a Skill-Out member, but why did she had to skipping judgement work at all?" Mikoto replied, "Is there something connected between them?"
"I told you it's-" Kuroko began to talk but got cut off by Mikoto.
"The past is only the past! She already went past them!" Mikoto interrupted which made Kotaru felt irritated that nobody have noticed yet, "Senpai has working really hard in judgement now. She's good towards us, even get rough and is dependable. I really liked that kind of senpai, but why did she behaving like this all of a sudden?"
"That kind of thing can't be underestimated at all, Misaka-san." Satten offered, "A past is something that happened to create who you are today. Even if there is something that is special that has special meaning inside them and is hard to let go."
"Even though you say that," Mikoto said, looking at the blimp, "I just don't get it at all."
"You seriously can't understand at all, Misaka?" Kotaru said in irritated tone which shocked everyone.
"Kotaru?" Hondo asked in concern.
"Are you okay, Kotaru-kun?" Ruiko asked in a way more concern to Kotaru's feeling right now.
"A person's past was something that builds them up, and everything. Even id it's something good or bad, both of them contributes. That's not something that someone would like to throw away because it's alway attached to that person everytime." Kotaru said in a cold tone.
"Hey hikari, calm down." Touma said try to calm Kotaru.
"Ugh i just... need to go home now, i'm tired." Kotaru replied, ignoring Touma's attempt to calm him down as he walks away from the group.
"Kotaru-kun, wait!" Ruiko begged but Kotaru didn't stop from his track at all. The group watch the boy walked away leaving the group.
"He's look so pissed." Hondo commented as he watch Kotaru keep walking away.
On the next day, Konori once again never showed up to the branch office. Mikoto just stood looking over Konori's unoccupied desk while everyone excluding Kotaru who isn't with them yet doing their work.
"Has Misaka-san bern like that in this whole time?" Ruiko asked.
"She deffinitely is." Kuroko replied without looking at Ruiko.
"She didn't moved from there at all." Touma added.
Suddenly, Kotaru has entered the office after he just asking helped to his father create a special Baton sword for Touma to use on his dad's lab. When she heard the door open, Mikoto turned in Kotaru's dirrection. Both of them looked at each other before Kotaru went to his desk that's apparently in front of Konori's desk and averted his eyes from Mikoto and didn't say a word at all.
"Looks like Kotaru is still angry from yesterday." Hondo mentioned.
"He deffinitely is." Ruiko agreed, she looked at Kotaru in concern and wondered that something on Kotaru's past has made him really angry.
"Everyone," Uiharu interrupted, "I just got an email from anti-skills."
Uiharu read the email out loud for everyone to hear. Apparently, Anti-Skill was going to do a comprehensive sweep of Strange the next day to deal with the Esper Hunts. This information visibly shocked Mikoto, who quickly excused herself from the office. She claimed she had some errands she needed to take care of. To the suprise, Mikoto asked Touma to come with her as well, but Touma response only a nod along with Mikoto glared at Kuroko to warn her for not attacked Touma right away and leave the room immediately. After both of them leave the room, Kotaru stand up from his seat and started to walk to the door.
"I'm going on a patrol." Kotaru said.
"Can i come with you?" Hondo asked.
"Well, sure i don't mind at all." Kotaru respond.
Both of them leave the office which made a confusion for the girls.
Since Hondo know it's just him and Kotaru, he asked straight away, "Lemme guess, you wanted to follo Kamijou and Misaka?"
Kotaru respond with a nod before he replied, "Straight as always huh? Yep, i want to know where they're going."
"Okay, let's hurry before we lost their track at all." Hondo pointed out.
Kotaru only nod in response. When they get outside of the building, they looked around to find where Touma and Mikoto was. After they found them, they followed them quietly make sure they didn't get noticed by them and they find out they gone towards district 10. After they arrived to where Touma and Mikoto just stopped, Kotaru yold Hondo to create a ladder construct using his geo power to climb quirtly make sure stay hiding. When they arrive at the top of the building, they hide behind the wall of the rooftop door hearing their conversation.
"Konori-senpai, let's go." Mikoto insisted, "This isn't the place for you anymore. You have to know that."
"I know about that, Misaka-san," Konori replied, "But do you know who helped me figure it out in the first place? It was senpai."
"Does it have something to do with what happened two years ago? Because you never told me what actually happened." Touma inquired
"Yeah, that's pretty on point," Konori replied, "Two years ago, a rival gang kidnapped Hebitani-kun, the guy currently using senpai's name. It was clearly a trap, but senpai went to rescue him anyway. By the time I arrived on the scene, the building had been blown up. Hebitani obviously got out okay, but all I could find of Kurozuma was his jacket. We all believed he died that day. At that point, I couldn't bare to stay with without senpai there, so I finally left. And here I am, back up on this roof again and after what happened, it became who i am now."
Konori gingerly touched the railing of the roof, something that didn't go unnoticed by Touma. Walking up next to the high school girl, Touma kneeled down to get a closer look at the railing. On the railing, just underneath Konori's hand, was the drawing of an umbrella with the names "Mii" and "Kuro" written underneath it.
'So that's the reason why she's attached to him.' Touma thought to himself.
"But, even though it's like that, Konori-senpai is a judgement member!" Mikoto argued, "It's not okay to let criminals at all."
"Misaka, you really still didn't understand huh?" Touma said dissapointed.
"She still don't get it huh?" Kotaru said felt really dissapoint.
"Just give her time, she will understand later." Hondo suggested
Kotaru was about to talked, but he didn't say anything as the door swung open immediately.
"Still, she brings up a good point," a new and familiar voice added, "That would be wrong, wouldn't it."
Touma, Konori, and Mikoto turned around and saw Kurozuma coming out from the rooftop door. Since Kotaru and Hondo never met Kurozuma, they now know how he looks like.
Senpai," Konori observed.
"It's been two years huh?" the former gang leader mused as he approached the railing, "Hard to believe. After it happened, I woke up in a hospital. From there, I was sent to a treatment facility and I didn't get out of there until about six months ago."
"Senpai, i'm..." Konori tried to say.
"This beautiful view.." Kurozuma pointed out, "I thought i won't be able to see it again. I gotta say, it's better that i won't meet you again. If i met you again-"
"You intended to barge in like alone just like two years ago?" Konori offered, clenching her fist.
"I'm the one who made the big spider," Kurozuma replied, "That means i will be the one to destroy it too. Not anti-skill."
"Don't go!" Konori begged, grabbing Kurozuma's left arm, "You always like this! Always thinking about others, even acted alone. If you're like this, i'm-"
"You even just like that too right?" Kurozuma asked, "That's way you're standing here right now. Well, you should really get going. Go on, these two are waiting patiently for you, or rather i should say 4 with the people who's hiding behind there."
Touma and Mikoto immediately turned around, they didn't expected that there is someone else as well. Since Kotaru and Hondo who heard their conversation silently in this whole time, decide to reveal themselves coming out from behind the wall.
"How long have you noticed both of us?" Kotaru asked.
"Well, i've seen an unusual ladder at the side of the building and saw both of you climbing up here." Kurozuma answered.
"When did you two get here?" Mikoto and Touma asked.
"Since the beginning." Both middle-schooler boys replied.
Kurozoma suddenly removed his arm form Konori's grip gently before taking his leave.
"Bye-bye," he said, "You should try to take care the place where you belong now."
"I'll go too." Konori insisted, stopping Kurozuma in his tracks, "I… I can't go through that again."
"Stop it, Mii." Kurozuma argued, "It's not the same like last time. That's for the both of us."
"It doesn't have anything to do with the past and the present!" Konori yelled, "Even though my home was changed, but my feelings won't change at all!"
Kurozuma simply remained silent before continuing to walk away, ignoring everyone else as he went through the roof door and down the stairs. Since they can't let Konori go with them, the group decide to leave the area.
Along the way at the district 7, Mikoto realized what made Kotaru angry yesterday, so she stopped in front of the boys and said, "Hey Hikari-san, i think i understand what made you really pissed off yesterday and by seeing Kurozuma and Konori-senpai has made me figure out what made you really pissed."
"And that is?" Kotaru said, waiting for her answer.
"Even if you change, those feelings that connect you to other people stay the same." Mikoto replied, "I remembered the time when you confront Saten-san under the bridge at that time, you said that you obtain your vision when you saw Kowada-san get hurt so bad and you burst into the rage and beating all the thugs that hurted Kowada-san. Your feelings against those thugs in your hometown will be the same no matter how long time has passed. Am i right about that?"
After hearing this, Kotaru let out a wide smile. He finally happy that Misaka understand makes him really mad yesterday. So Kotaru gave her a thumbs up in response and replied, "Good job, you finally understand Misaka. And yeah, sorry for getting angry at you yesterday."
"No worries, i should have understand sooner." Mikoto replied back.
Touma looked at them with a smile as he happy that he saw Kotaru finally come past of the terms in the pasts. Feeling proud of Mikoto, Touma suddenly placed his right hand on top of Mikoto's head, giving her a gentle pat.
When Mikoto confusedly looked at Touma, shr saw him giving her a warm smile as he saying, "Congrats Misaka, you finally got the answer you're looking for in this whole time."
"Whatever," Mikoto said, batting away Touma's hand from her head, "Besides, I really should be thanking you, Hikari-san. I think I know how we can help Konori-senpai now. We just need Kuroko's help to pull it off."
"Really?" Touma and Kotaru asked.
"What plans do you come up in your mind?" Hondo asked.
"I'll tell you three for the details later," Misaka replied, "I have to make Kuroko to agree first okay?"
"Okay sure." The boys agreed in unison.
"But you better get inside or you'll get killed by your dorm manager." Touma reminded.
"Don't remind me," Mikoto laughed as she ran inside, leaving the three boys on their way to their own dorm.
A few moments later, Kotaru finally arrived at his dorm. After he get into the floor where his room is located, he saw in the distance that Ruiko is sitting next to the door waiting for him to be arrived. Seeing this, Kotaru immediately approaching her.
When he finally get closed to her, he raised his hand offered her to stand up from where Ruiko is sitting and asked, "You've been waiting for me for a long time huh?"
"Yeah i did." Ruiko replied, grabbing Kotaru's right arm with her left hand and stand up. After she stand up, she raised the plastic bag that's contained with ramen and some ingredient inside it on her right hand as she saying, "Look Kotaru-kun, i've brought you a set of homemade instant ramen for you tonight."
"Oh that's sounds delicious." Kotaru replied before he decide to tease her, "So you want your boyfriend to cook this for both of us right?"
Ruiko shook her head in response as she cheerfully said, "Wrong! I will be the one who cooked for you tonight. You don't mind that your girlfriend made you dinner right?" She also tried to cheered Kotaru since she saw him not in good mood ever since yesterday.
Kotaru raised his eyebrows, he haven't taste his girlfriends cooking in a while so he gave her a nod and replied. "Oh i would love to taste your cooking. Anyway, we better get inside now, it's getting cold now."
Ruiko gave him a nod. Kotaru opened the door as he realised something, he asked Ruiko in worried, "Wait, what about index? Did she already have a dinner?"
"Don't worry Kotaru-kun, i already made her the ramen as well. Kinda suprised me that today she only ate one bowl of ramen rather than 3 bowl of ramen." Ruiko answered.
"Okay that is totally weird, but whatever. Okay we better get inside now." Kotaru replied as he and Ruiko enter his room.
Kotaru immediately sit on the table, waiting for Ruiko to finished cooking the home made ramen. After Ruiko get inside the kitchen, she slowly opened the bag and let out all the ingredients for the ramen. After the water has boiled, she put the noodle in the water, she also add the ingredient inside as well. She added the vegetables next and boiled it until all of them are cooked. After everything is cooked, Ruiko put the ramen on her bowl and Kotaru's and immediately chopped the yolked egg and put them on each bowls.
Ruiko bring the food on the table. After that, Ruiko sat across the table in front of Kotaru, both of them clapped their hand in front of them as they chanted, "Thank you for the meal."
Kotaru taste the noodle first, his eyes widened at the taste. He felt the noodle is really soft to be chewed inside Kotaru's mouth which made Kotaru impressed.
"Wow this is delicious!" Kotaru complimented, "How long have you trained on cooking this?"
"If i know to be exact, i think it's 2 days to be precise." Ruiko recalled.
"Wow! That's really amazing." Kotaru praised, "Next time, let me cook something for you in exchange, deal?"
"Deal!" Ruiko said giving him a thumbs up.
"Good! anyway let's finish our meal now." Kotaru reminded.
As they kept eating for a minute, Kotaru virtual watch just got an E-mail from misaka. He touch the screen and opened the e-mail that contains a plan for tomorrow.
Ruiko saw that Kotaru and Mikoto id already miving past from the past grudge, so she asked after she swallowed the food inside her mouth, "So you and Misaka-san already moving past the grudge?"
Kotaru closed the virtual watch hologram looked back at Ruiko as he was saying, "Yeah, she's finally understand about Konori-senpai and Kurozuma, especially for what makes me pissed yesterday."
Ruiko sighed in relieve that Kotaru and Misaka has move past the grudge, so she said, "Thank godness, i thought that it would take longer to move past the grudge."
"Yeah same," Kotaru agreed as he nodded, "At least i don't have to be angry at her for long."
The pair kept eating their food until the bowls are empty. Kotaru immediately bring the bowls to the kitchen and washed them immediately. He go back to the living room and sat on the bed leaning against the wall.
Ruiko immediately get up from her spot and sat next to Kotaru as well and put her head on his right shoulder.
"Hey i was wondering. Before you go to the branch, did you go somewhere else before?" Ruiko asked.
"Well, i requested dad to make a special baton sword for Kamijou-senpai since he is great at kendo when he's at elementary school." Kotaru explained.
"Really? I never know he is good at kendo." Ruiko said in disbelieve.
"Same for me, i just didn't expect about it until i decide to bring him to the judgement training field to get him good at fighting crowds and fight a uncontrolled powered suit or maybe a weaponized magicians." Indeed, it would be helpful that Touma has a weapon to counter them.
"That's a good idea. I guess my boyfriend really know priorities really well." Ruiko praised.
"Hehe thank you." Kotaru thanked.
Since Kotaru felt Ruiko is closer to him, he immediately get Ruiko to stop put her head on his shoulder and pulled her head closer to his face and smashed his lips into hers before she could say anything and kissed her.
Ruiko was kinda annoyed at first that Kotaru immediately pushed her head from his shoulder but that annoyed feeling instantly gone when Kotaru kissed her in the mouth again with both of them closed their eyes. Kotaru want to extended their kiss to the next level, so he deepened their kiss by making his tounge enter her mouth. Ruiko eyes opened a bit when she felt Kotaru's tounge entered but she closed her eyes instantly and enjoy the feeling of her tounge wrestling with his. It's not stop yet, Kotaru slowly push her laying to the bed. As soon as Kotaru positioned himself on top of her, he slowly combing his finger throughs her hair which made Ruiko moaned. Hearing the sattisfying sound of his girlfriends moan, he continued by deepened their kiss even more.
Without they knowing, Junto could see anything from inside the seelie gadget. Junto tried to turn away but he can't averted his eyes from both of them.
After a few seconds, both of them finally separated from their kiss. When they separated, a trail of saliva running through their tounges. Kotaru and Ruiko cheeks were reddened after their excitement on their kiss just now, they also still breathless after enjoying their long kiss. Kotaru saw how adorable Ruiko really was with her looked like in his mercy while she still wears her uniform clothes which made it looked way more adorable. Kotaru quickly got the urge to do it again, he leaning down towards her and instantly smashed his lips against hers and immediately stuck his tounge into her mouth again as they immediately close their eyes again.
Both Kotaru and Ruiko hold one of their hand against each other and tightening their grip. The kiss between both of them has continued for a few moments until they're out of their breath. After they pulled apart, a trail of saliva has seen running through their tounges again.
Ruiko is breathless trying to catch a breath after their extended long kiss, but she said to Kotaru between her breaths begging, "Kotaru-kun... P-Please... I can't... Take it anymore..."
Kotaru was also still breathless, but he replied, "Okay then, i guess that's enough for now." He didn't want to make his girlfriend felt uncomfortable.
"I can't believe that you're so bold to do that today." Ruiko said, looked up at his face.
Kotaru put his left hand scratching the back of his neck and replied, "I don't know what's gotten into me just now, but it felt really good." He admitted that he really enjoy their long time kiss.
Ruiko nodded as she said, "Even though i can't keep kissing for longer, i still enjoy it."
Kotaru looked at the clock and it's indicating thst it's already 8 p.m, Kotaru immediately looked at Ruiko and asked, "Hey, want me to bring you back to your dorm again just like before?"
Ruiko blushed as she remembered the time Kotaru carried her to her dorm by flying, but she smiled at him and replied, "Sure, i don't mind at all." Indeed, she wanted to be carried by him again just like before.
With all of that has done, Kotaru immediately bring Ruiko back to her dorm. After that, he go back to his room, take a bath and immediately change to his sleeping clothes snd immediately sleeping, ready for the fight against big spider.
The next day, Kotaru went to his dad's lab to get a baton sword that Kotaru has ordered for Touma. After he get the new weapon, Kotaru go to where Touma, Kuroko, Hondo, and Mikoto decide to meet up with a plan that Mikoto made for stopping the big spider.
When they finally spotted Konori walked alone in an alley, Kuroko and Mikoto teleport in front of her, cutting off her path. In addition, Touma, Kotaru, and Hondo came around the corner behind her, boxing her in between the three of them.
"What are you four doing here?" Konori asked in confusion.
The only response she received was Mikoto teleporting directly behind her. Against her will, Konori found herself wearing her Judgement armband. A simple look from Kuroko was evidence enough that she had broken into Konori's dorm with her ability and retrieved it for them.
"Gotta say it looks really good on you, Konori-senpai." Mikoto admitted.
"True, the color combination does looks nice too." Kotaru pointed out.
Konori looked down at her armband and couldn't help but smile. It was true, the look did suit her best. Her past and present true mingled together with both the armband and the jacket. The contrast in colors, green on red, only added to the display of her contrasting homes in Big Spider and Judgement. She gave each of the other students a look of approval and lead them towards the location of Big Spider.
When they arrived, they saw the door has already busted open with a powerfull kick and the sounds of falling Big Spider members could be heard inside. Knowing it was time to join the fray, Konori was the first to step into the building.
"HOLD IT!" Konori yelled, making people inside saw her pressence.
"Mii?" Kurozuma asked in surprise as he turned around to look at her.
He noticed her outfit of her red jacket with a judgement armband attached on her right arm.
"You're looking cool." Kurozuma complimented, made Konori blushed.
"Konori?" Hebitani asked in shock.
"Hebitani-kun,
"Konori greeted in a half joking mannered towards Hebitani, "You really have turned into a scum, didn't you? Relying on your minions and weapons to win you battles for you."
"Shut up!" Hebitani yelled, "You're the one who turned back on us and joining judgement won't understand anything at all! Attack! Show our power towards them!"
Everyone ready to shoot using the gunshot they holding on their hand, but suddenly a pin teleported into them, piercing the barrels. Kuroko promptly teleported into the room with Mikoto in tow, much to the shock of Big Spider.
"What if i decide to teleported these pins inside your bodies?" Kuroko asked as she landed on the ground, showing the pins on her hands.
"No matter, we still have that-" Hebitani began to talk but suddenly got cutted off by Mikoto
"That?" Mikoto asked as she flipped an arcade coin into the air. She then promptly fired her railgun through the wall of the building, striking the car on the other side that held the Capacity Down System, a device that disrupts Esper abilities by impairing the brain with a high pitch sound.
"You mean that thing?" Mikoto asked, "Don't think we're gonna fall into the same trap twice. If you really think so, you must be stupider than you look."
"Attack! Beat them up!" Hebitani demanded in panicked.
It's too bad that the gang was too terrified by Mikoto's power to fight willingly, at least without their Anti-Esper weapon. It got to the point where Hebitani had to threaten his own men at gunpoint to get them to fight.
"You guys really are the lowest kind of thug there is, aren't you?" Touma asked as he, Kotaru, and Hondo stepped through the hole in the wall.
"Who the hell do you three think you are, walking in like that?" Hebitani demanded upon seeing the mysterious three spiky haired boys.
"Simple, we're a level 0 just like you." Kotaru answered.
"But we're not a normal level 0." Hondo added.
"And i'm no one special," Touma replied with a shrug, "Do you seriously think that hunting esper going to prove you something? Prove you're stronger without a power? Showing that you're stronger with a bunch of handguns, backup, and also a horrifying complicated sounds buzzing you can take on any Esper in the city? Let me tell you something, that's just common sense. It doesn't prove anything about your strength as people, just that your too afraid to go in on your own!"
"Not only that, ganging up on individuals won't make you guys getting more respect from the city at all." Kotaru said to the gang.
"All of you only just get more disrespected by the city itself. So there is one thing we have to do towards someone like all of you." Hondo continued.
Kotaru spawned a racket out of thin hair, Hondo spawned his own giant club just like Kotaru and Touma pulled out a baton sword from his pocket before they say in a unison.
"I'LL SHATTER THAT FUCKED UP ILLUSION OF YOURS!" The boys shouted in unison.
"That's... THAT'S A rRUMORED CERTAIN ELEMENTAL BURST ALONG WITH THE JUDGEMENT SPECIAL FORCE!" One of the gang yelled aw he pointed out who hr was.
The big spider gang become more desperate. Not only they have 0% chance to win, they also got 0% chance to escape from them.
"All of you please stay out of this," Konori requested of her friends, "Please respect your elders for once, okay?"
"Awww man, we don't get to have fun?" Kotaru complained.
"I also really hoping to fight them as well." Hondo also complained.
"Konori-san," Touma said getting closer to Konori as he spinning his baton sword horizontally, "That kind of statement won't be applied to me since our age is litteraly the same so don't mind me on joining you okay?"
"I guess i'm fine with it, but what's with the new weapon?" Konori asked in curious.
"I'm a kendo master when i was at elementary school and today i will show these guys a level 0 like me could also fight better without esper abilities." Touma replied with a smug.
"You two really get along huh?" Kurozuma mused, "Hey blacky, don't hold me back." Kurozuma started charge towards the big spider members.
"Right back at Ya!" Touma replied back, following him from behind.
The gang member charge towards the two boys. Kurozuma throws a streams of punches, kicks, and elbows on the various gang members, taking out most of them in a single hit. As for Touma, he swinging his baton sword so fast. After he hit 4 gang members with his baton sword, he throw his baton sword to the air and proceeded to throw a various punches only using his right hand and knocked them to the sides. He catch the baton sword falling from the air after knocking some gang member in a astonishing pose.
"Oi oi," Kurozuma said mockingly, "Where is the fun if all of you didn't attacked me seriously at all!"
At one point, one of the gang members reached into his hoodie, as if to grab something. Using her Clairvoyance, Konori saw that that gang member had a gun in his hand and a stun-gun in his hoodie. Acting quickly, Konori grabbed the thug's arm, wrestling the gun out of his hand before he could fire. She then reached into the thug's hoodie and took his stun-gun, shocking him with his own weapon.
"So that's your ability, is it?" Kurozuma mused, "Feels good to use it, huh?"
"It sure does," Konori replied with a blush.
"You also did great there." Kurozuma said, praised Touma's performance. "What's your name anyway?"
"My name's Kamijou Touma, an ordinarry high school boy who always tried to helped out everyone who needs help." Touma said introducing himself.
"Is that so? The I WON'T LOSE EITHER!" Kurozuma cried out.
After a few minutes, Touma, Konori, and Kurozuma has beaten all gang member that had been taken down. The only exception was Hebitani, who was left to face Kurozuma one-on-one.
"You.. you think you've already won?" Hebitani laughed, "Take a look!"
He opened up his jacket, revealing a belt of dynamite strapped to his waist. Needless to say, everyone was shocked to see such extremes. That is, everyone that was not a member of Big Spider at one point.
"Dynamite!" Kuroko yelled out, "What era are you from?"
"I dare you to get closer to me!" Hebitani yelled as he took out a lighter, "I'll blow everyone!"
Kuroko tried to attack, but was blocked by mikoto's hand to not attack. When Kuroko looked at Mikoto, she saw her face to trust them and not to worry at all.
"Shall we interfere?" Hondo asked Kotaru as Hondo spawned a floating geo stone on his hand.
"No, Kurozuma could do this." Kotaru denied.
"So how's that? Are you scared?" Hebitani asked mockingly.
"What a pain," Kurozuma sighed as he took off his jacket, revealing his giant spider tattoo.
"Stay back! I'll blow us up!" Hebitani threatened.
"Ah, Hebitani, we used to have such good times together, didn't we?" Kurozuma asked as he approached.
"Stay back, not one step more!"
"We acted all goof along with everyone else, but what happened to you?"
"Stay there, stop!"
Before he knew what hit him, Hebitani was punched in the gut by Kurozuma, causing the dynamite belt to fall apart.
"What happened? Hebitani" Kurozuma asked.
"I didn't have a choice," Hebitani explained, "What else could I have done? This is the only place where we belong. I had to find a way to keep Big Spider together, and that could only happen if I became Kurozuma. And that's why I have no choice but to get rid of you once and for all!"
In a flash, Hebitani pulled a knife from his jacket and jumped at Kurozuma. However, Kurozuma barely dodged the attack, only suffering a slash on his cheek. At the same time, Kurozuma delivered a punch to Hebitani's face that left him with his head resting on the ground in a pool of his own blood.
"Hebitani.. home is... where you could be your own self." Kurozuma declared.
Kotaru gave him a smile before he approaches Kurozuma as he saying, "I agree Kurozuma. I really agree about that."

Eventually, Anti-Skill arrived and rounded up all of the Big Spider members that the students had apprehended. With Big Spider taken down, that left only one thing for Kurozuma to do. He held out his wrists and asked her to arrest him. Although hesitant at first, Konori obliged and arrested him in the most professional manner possible.
"Whew, it's finally over." Kurozuma said in relieve.
"That looks good on you." Kurozuma complimented, "Even though it looks tight on the chest area don't you think?"
"That's because i always drink that." Konori replied with a blush on her face.
"When it comes to milk, it has to be Musashino!" they cheered, before bursting into laughter.
"There they go again, talked about boobs again." Kuroko mused, staring at her own chest.
"And somehow, it's still not offensive," Mikoto added.
"I guess everything has been settled then." The boys mused.
Later that day, Kotaru, Hondo, Touma, Mikoto, and Kuroko stood on the rooftop of the building that Konori and Kurozuma often met on. They were simply leaning over the railing, enjoying the view of the sunset and the afternoon breezy.
"Man, these winds does felt really good." Mikoto sighed.
"It deffinitely was." The group agreed.
"Maybe i should bring Ruiko-chan the next time both of go on a date." Kotaru mused.
"Well i agree with you, this place does looks god for a dating spot." Touma agreed
"I seriously agreed with you Hikari-san, Saten-san would deffinitely enjoy this spot." Mikoto said.
"Deffinitely." Kotaru replied obviously.
"You two already on better terms now," Kuroko observed, taking a break from her Musashino milk, "I take it you moved past that grudge from a few days ago?"
"Yep, gotta say Misaka did made me upset because it reminds me about my past that made me who really are." Kotaru said.
"What's happened in your past anyway?" Kuroko and Mikoto asked, they haven't know anything about Kotaru's past.
Hondo immediately explained what happened to Kotaru in the past from the time he obtained his vision, the reason why he moved to Academy Coty and also the reason why he joined Judgement.
"That's everything happened to you in the past?" Kuroko asked in shock.
"So that's why you're mad at me because didn't understand at all huh? I'm sorry about that." Mikoto apologized, feeling bad that she hurt Kotaru feelings at that time.
"Don't worry about that, you finally understand now so no harms needed." Kotaru said accepting Mikoto's aplogy.
"Okay then." Misaka said.
