And I'm back, here's another Uikuro fic. Just some self indulgent fluff I've been working on whenever I've hit a wall with Partners (Which is not dead by the way) still I hope you enjoy. Oh and this story involves a particular character from Railgun T so its best if you've watched that first.
Kuroko's eyes slowly slid open as her body woke up to the sight of an angelic if slightly still chubby face framed with a thick mop of black hair. She smiled warmly at the sight that had began most of her mornings for the past few months. She still couldn't quite believe she was so lucky.
She would have stayed for hours lying on her side admiring her partners gentle sleeping face had she not glanced towards a nearby clock. Only 1 hour until their Judgement shift!
Kuroko put her hand on her shoulder and shook her gently. "Kazari wakey wakey, come on my sweet little flower its time to get up."
Uiharu groaned and mumbled out a slurred "five morsh mintshes."
The redhead rolled her eyes in response, every workday, such a lazy lover she had. Luckily she had a remedy for that. She laid a gentle finger on the small off her back and teleported her. Just a few meters into the air catching the screaming girl in her arms as she fell back into bed.
"Good morning beautiful did you sleep well?" She said suavely before getting a slap across the face.
"Hmph I was. And put me down already I'm not decent." Uiharu growled out as a growing blush spread across her face at her distinct lack of clothes.
"Oh your better than decent." Kuroko said eyes roaming over her soft unblemished body, how badly she wanted a repeat of last night. But of course duty comes first, she reluctantly took her hands away from Uiharu's sides and thighs.
Uiharu quickly got up and walked over to the bathroom, looking over to see the familiar sight of Kuroko leering at her. Honestly what a degenerate. "You coming or not? I might need help scrubbing certain places." Though it wasn't like she was not any better.
Needless to say Kuroko had already teleported herself ahead the very second she stopped speaking.
"Gawk all you want Kuroko but please at least remember to breath." A wet naked Uiharu addressed her blushing red faced partner. Rivets of water running down her perky breasts.
"Hehe sorry your beauty just takes my breath away." An equally naked Kuroko squeezed out a dollop of hand soap and began scrubbing Uiharu's back.
Uiharu shrunk over her partners embarrassing affections, being with her had made her a lot more confident in herself but she still had some self confidence issues. "Surely its not that impressive, and um you've seen me like this so many times by now, doesn't it get old?"
Kuroko took a sensual lick of her neck electing a cute shiver as a response. "Not at all." She whispered into the mousy girl's ear.
Uiharu trembled, it wouldn't be so bad to just give in would it? Besides with her girlfriend's teleportation they could make it to the office in no time.
No no she had to at her best today, she had a new meeting ahead of her. "Gah stop being so erotic you you degenerate! And let go of those!" She shouted as Kuroko's hands wrapped around her breasts.
"Aww but they're so soft." Kuroko whined even as her grip around the pliable mounds loosened
Uiharu blushed shaking herself free. "T-that doesn't matter, we can't be late, and not just for work, you have your important appointment don't you?"
She shot up straight forgetting all her perverted thoughts about her partner, of course how could she forget about that! To Uiharu's relief and admittedly slight displeasure she was all business for the rest of the shower.
After hurriedly toweling herself off Uiharu got dressed into her current school uniform, the stylish blue and white dress of Nagatenjouki Academy. Still she couldn't quite believe she was attending the same high class school for Ojou-sama's as her partner. Her short black hair had grown into a more sizeable mop that ended in bangs around her face and she finally ditched the flower crown (after enough badgering from her new girlfriend.) to a small flower more in line with what she wore when she first met Kuroko.
She stepped through to the kitchen to have breakfast with said partner who frustratingly was still naked, she insisted that as a teleporter it took her no time at all to get dressed. Kuroko hadn't really changed much, she wore her hair down much more, and grew (very slightly) taller, other than that she was still very small and cute in most areas. Which in spite of Uiharu's occasional teasing, she didn't really mind one bit.
Uiharu casually sat down and began eating trying to keep her eyes from wandering below her neck. Clearly the strain was visible as Kuroko suddenly stated, "You can look you know." With a hint of a smirk in her lips.
She blushed and switched her gaze firmly to her food. "I know I just don't want to be distracted thinking of you during work."
"One would hope you'd be thinking a lot of your subordinate, during work."
"Yeah yeah okay, with clothes on is what I meant." Kuroko's comment had reminded her of her increasing responsibilities at the branch, being groomed as Konori's successor for branch chief was putting herself under a ton of pressure.
"Hey um Kuroko do you really think I can replace Konori?" She asked hesitantly her shining eyes visibly dimming.
Kuroko in response teleported to her lap and hugged her. "Of course I do, your smart and cunning in tense situations and your great with kids. You've grown a lot from that awkward dorky little grade schooler I once knew. You don't have to worry about a thing"
Uiharu smiled, happy and secure in her lovers arms. "Your right, I'm just worrying too much again." Then she blushed as she felt two hard bumps rubbing against her stomach. "Umm can you please get dressed before I faint?"
"Aww okay, spoilsport." Kuroko stuck her tongue out playfully then the weight pressing down on Uiharu dispersed with a whoosh. She popped out back in already dressed in under a minute.
Judgement branch 177 had become a busy place over the years. Uiharu and Kuroko's successes had over time had become more and more noticed by the public drawing in more recruits for Judgement as a whole. Which left Uiharu's position as chief in training rather hectic to say the least.
Uiharu was currently being crowded by a gaggle of new recruits pestering her on how to do this or that, Kuroko looking on bemused while doing her own paperwork on a recent case. I can't really blame them I guess she makes quite a cute sempai.
"She seems to be doing well considering how big the branch has become." Konori said to her smiling softly, remembering how much their timid little goalkeeper had grown.
"You don't think she needs help?" Kuroko said smirking as she watched her blush and stammer out orders.
"Oh I'll step in and soften her workload in a little bit, I'm more concerned about you." Taking a seat beside her as Kuroko looked at her scrupulously.
"What do you mean, I'm perfectly fine sempai." Her brow furrowed.
"Heh I know you too well at this point aren't you nervous about something? Hmm... Miyama-kun perhaps." Smirking as Kuroko's reaction made it clear she had hit home. "I'm sure he's fine Shirai-san, after all he's much less hot blooded than you were at his age." Konori chuckled lightly at her memories of Kuroko's prior exuberance.
Kuroko shifted awkwardly in her seat. Hand in her pocket tightly clenching some papers. "I-its its not that, I know he's doing really well in the field for a rookie but its more um." She blushed heavily looking down at her feet. "You know that thing we talked about 2 months ago." She glanced at Konori hesitantly. "Well I uh finally got the paperwork for it."
The bespectacled leader stared at her for a moment then a look of astonishment suddenly took hold. Placing a reassuring hand on her juniors shoulder "Ooooh I see. Well you know Shirai-san I know your hesitant but you are giving something he's never had before."
"After all he is a child error."
After a fairly uneventful day at work was over the couple went to their usual hangout spot at Joseph's to meet with the others. Kuroko smirked as she saw the two holding hands and talking to each other. Saten had just whispered something in Misaka's ear that caused her to blush. Then they promptly kissed.
The two had got together about a month after Kuroko's confession to Uiharu. Saten claiming that in her own words "It was easier to confess when I didn't have a romantic rival that was the next scariest thing to a murderous yandere."
"Ugh pda again, we were never so obnoxiously public with our-"
Uiharu fixing her with an unimpressed look. "The first month we started dating, you couldn't stop holding my hand whenever we were together." Causing the high and mighty redhead to blush a brighter shade than said hair.
"I-I just wasn't sure any of it was real at the time." Kuroko shyly confessed. After so many rejections by her onee-sama and a less than pleasant upbringing by her cold rich parents she was beginning to think she was unlovable back then. Uiharu had proved her wrong like she had so many times before.
Uiharu smiled. "Well I hope you know now."
Kuroko looked away in a huff. "Of course I do,. Want to surprise em?" She said holding out her arms with a wink.
"Heehee yes!" Uiharu said stifling a giggle. Climbing into Kuroko's strong arms as she teleported both of them just behind the couple of lovebirds.
As the two flirted, Kuroko loudly tutted, sending them straight edged in their seats. "Am I interrupting something Onee-sama?" She asked coolly letting Uiharu down from the princess carry as she hugged the two.
Mikoto frowned at her immature kohai's antics. Then shook her head and brightened up. "No no we're fine. How was work?"
"Eh not much happened, just a few purse snatchers." Kuroko explained with a shrug.
Misaka seemed a little let down by this. "Aww so nothing you perhaps need help with?" Something's never changed
"Oh Onee-sama, how many times do I need to tell y-" Kuroko was about to launch into another long winded nag session before Mikoto cut her off.
"Citizens shouldn't get caught up in Judgement matters I know I know, I can't help it though, your big sis gets worried bout ya." Playfully ruffling Kuroko tresses making her stammer in embarrassment. Grinning at how cute she looked. Blinking she looked over to Uiharu who was gazing intently at Kuroko. "Hey Uiharu how bout you? How's being branch chief?"
"I'm not the chief yet Misaka-san. Just acting as one now and then until Konori-senpai graduates. Still quite troublesome though, got swamped today by new recruits." She sighed still a little weary from today.
"They just thought you were so cute." Saten teased.
"Obviously that was the reason." Kuroko agreed high fiving the excited level 0. "Misaka-san their ganging up on me again." Uiharu whined.
"Alright alright give it up you too." Misaka said quickly cowing the two troublemakers.
The four settled into a quiet relaxed mood as they continued talking and made their orders. "So Onee-sama I have to ask are you and Ruiko-san doing well?" Kuroko asked hesitantly. She knew historically anything connecting herself to Onee-sama in matters of romance caused no end of drama and strife in their little group.
Fortunately Misaka didn't seem to mind. "Doing well despite the fact that we can't see each other all the time. You two are pretty lucky, living in domestic bliss and what not."
Kuroko sighed happily hugging her partner. "Bliss is right, I've never been happier since she moved in with me. The warm cosy evenings after school, the quiet early mornings not to mention the lovemaking."
"Kuroko!" Uiharu said scandalized leaping forward to cover her partners mouth. "Don't tell them stuff like that."
Saten shrugged, nonchalantly. "I already figured it out. You two have been way more physical for the last few months. And with Kuroko being Kuroko and you two living together I figured it was only a matter of time."
Misaka couldn't help but feel a little childish compared to her little kohai. "W-whatever that doesn't matter can we change the subject please?" She stammered out while blushing.
Kuroko shrugged "Fair enough ladies don't kiss and tell I suppose." She considered bringing up Miyama and her proposal but was a little worried. She'd briefly mentioned it before as a joke and they didn't think it was too ridiculous but what would Ruiko and onee-sama think if she brought it up again?
She looked to Uiharu and at her earnest supportive smile she clutched the papers tight. "Hey um remember that silly idea I said about Miyama that one time? ...w-well I've decided to actually go through with it. I've uh got the papers right here."
The table went still for a moment causing Kuroko to think they were about to start ridiculing her. Then Misaka flashed a brilliant smile "Well its about time you made it official! Your practically the kid's mother already."
Kuroko blushed and fidgeted awkwardly. "Y-you don't think its stupid?. I mean its a bit much." she protested weakly trying to stifle the fierce maternal feeling she felt for the little guy.
"Nah he adores you already, and I know you two feel the same, you'll make a great family." Misaka placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Heh I'll say, remember when he said Misaka was cooler than her, Kuroko sulked for weeks." Saten giggled remembering how pouty she acted. Guffawing louder when Kuroko made a similar face just then.
"Ruiko please I, … Onee-s-sama are you crying?" Kuroko said shocked at the suddenly teary eyed Onee-sama.
Misaka sniffled trying to wipe her eyes. "I-its just you've grown up so fast, my dorky little kohai's going to be a mom." Blushing in embarrassment. "S-sorry sorry its just all so sudden."
"Heh its fine Onee-sama"
Kuroko paced the grass nervously back and forth, a tree brimming with cherry blossoms swimming into view. They were actually in season this time unlike that tense smoke filled night all those years ago. She remembered the heat of the flames, the growing sound of sirens from ambulances, the screams for help. So much that could have gone wrong. And yet it didn't no one died, all because of one young boy.
Sometimes she wondered what would have happened had he given up after Ookawachi's accident, concluded that his powers were entirely negative, and felt a chill at the thought. Luckily that didn't happen.
In the year after the fire, They became quite close. Confiding and helping each other with their mutual problems. He was kind of an anchor for her, something stable she could rely on. Particularly when her feelings for her Onee-sama started to seriously weaken and drift to someone else. Their little friend group became quite disarrayed and chaotic for awhile and it was nice to talk to someone largely isolated from it.
Uiharu watched her partner pacing around sighing. "There's no need to be nervous Kuroko I'm sure he won't mind."
Easy for her to say, she wasn't the one about to ruin their relationship with him. She turned to her with tightened fists. "Y-you don't know th-"
"Mind what?" An unemotional but now slightly deeper voice asked. Kuroko's body went stiff at the familiar voice. Teleporting to Uiharu's side.
He had become significantly taller (Uiharu had often joked to Kuroko's chagrin that he was going to tower over the teleporter soon) and all the Judgement training had given him a degree of muscle. A fairly handsome young boy in general really. The only male Kuroko had ever described as such.
Kuroko kept her hands deep in her pockets pushing the papers down. "Oh nothing really."
Miyama scanned her nervous expression and tense posture. "Oh are you two getting married?" He asked, a noticeable perk to his usual voice.
The two looked at each other and blushed deeply. Uiharu reluctantly tore herself away from the oh so tempting thought of Kuroko in a wedding dress. First things first she thought determined not to change the subject. "Ah maybe someday Miyama, but not today, but Kuroko and I do have a proposal we wish to make, don't we?" Eyeing a still blushing Kuroko with a serious glare.
Kuroko gulped not wishing to face an angered Uiharu back home but not wanting to make things awkward with the younger boy either. Uiharu gave her a gentle push forward now smiling reassuringly. She knew Uiharu loved him too so it wasn't just for her.
She took a deep breath and began to speak. "Well um look I know you've been a child error for a long time now." Oh how she hated that term, Miyama was not an error under any definition. " S-so I was thinking if y-you were okay with it, me and Uiharu could u-um ...adopt you." Face now flushed with embarrassment she thrust the paper forward clenching her eyes shut.
The most stressful moment of her life seemed to drag on forever as Miyama read the paper. "Kuroko..."
Fearing rejection she backed away. "I-its totally fine if you don't want to, your probably too old for this or you don't want to dishonor the memory of your actual pa-" She was cut off by a small form tackling her almost sending her to the ground. Then she heard the sound of muffled sobbing causing her to open her eyes. It was Miyama sobbing into her chest.
Assuming she had brought up bad memories when she mentioned his la- his only parents she admonished her stupid mind. "I-its okay don't cry." She squeaked out as she hugged him. "I-i didn't m-mean to bring them up, I'm sorry!"
Miyama mumbled something that she couldn't quite hear. "What was that?" She asked reluctantly fearing a rejection.
Miyama stared up at her wiping his eyes. "But I do want to. I-I actually kind of thought of you as my m-mo-that I just didn't want to weird you out by mentioning it."
"R-really? You think so?" Kuroko asked feeling like she was dreaming.
"Y-yeah your really caring, and sweet. And your also a massive nag." He finished with a slight grin.
"Hey!" Kuroko replied offended. Though not stopping her fierce hug at all.
Uiharu finally chirped in "He's right though. You are very motherly." smiling fondly at the cute sight.
Kuroko eyed her with a smirk , "And so are you, Get in here already, I don't have enough arms to hug our son with.".
Uiharu let out a breath she didn't know she was hiding and joined in on the mother son hug. "Now we're finally a family!." Smiling happily like the joyful ray of sunshine she was. Erasing the last of the other two's nervousness.
"Thank you... mom" Miyama said to Kuroko nervously. The word still feeling odd on his lips.
Kuroko looked at him for a moment mouth agape then hugged him tighter squealing. "Aaaaah so cute!"
