Three days had passed on their way towards the city, and they'd spent it trying to learn more about one another. Silver discovered she never knew her parents, and she discovered it was similar to him. They didn't go into detail, but Silver had never known his father while growing up.

Silver and Luke had a very serious talk about what happened in the forest and since then, Luke has refused to have anything to do with Silver. Mealtime consisted of him taking whatever Silver served and going somewhere alone until it was time to come back...which of course Aqua would have to handle since Luke didn't want to talk to Silver.

While frustrated, Aqua thought it'd be best to let Silver and Luke sort that out by themselves without interfering. She hoped he would find a way to get through to him.

They'd battle trainers along the road as well, earning a decent amount of money. Storm grew stronger thanks to that, but he was still a bit sloppy so Aqua offered to train him which he accepted.

It really began to feel like she had a family, despite the disagreement Luke and Silver had.

However Silver had still been thinking about what had happened ever since they left. It really set it all in stone just how dangerous this journey thing can be. He counted himself lucky he didn't leave when he was younger.

Aqua was sitting by him, humming to herself and giving him time to process. While she's mostly been silent, there was one thing on her mind. {So when do you plan on trying to talk to Luke?} She asked.

"I...don't know," Silver said, giving a sigh and cursing himself in his head. "I've had other things on my mind so I haven't been able to give it much clear thought.

{I figured it did but I do not blame you, you've had some pretty heavy stuff in your head.} Aqua said as she scooted closer to him, putting a hand on his thigh.

"Yeah I...wait, you...you weren't reading my thoughts were you? Or..can you even do that?" He asked.

{H-Huh? Oh uh...uh…} She suddenly looked nervous. How can she be sure he won't flip out if he knew she could read his thoughts? What was she supposed to say? She couldn't lie to him. {Kinda...yes.} She admitted, looking guilty. {I-It's not something I do all the time! I just, sometimes I can't help it. As in I do it without even meaning to.} She looked away shyly, worried he'd be mad.

Silver seemed slightly alarmed for a moment, would he have to keep track of his thoughts from now on? Does that mean she can hear lewd thoughts as well? "It's...it's okay, I'm not mad I'm just….I forgot you're a psychic type and I didn't think about it until just now." Silver said. "It's okay Blue, really." He smiled.

She shyly looked up at him, relieved and glad he didn't seem to be mad, but also a bit surprised. {I swear to you it isn't on purpose. When...our kind is close with someone, sharing our minds is natural.} She felt her cheeks flush slightly.

Silver looked at her, and then her hand that was on his thigh. "If...only I could see into your mind." He commented, his voice becoming a bit soft as he laid his hand on top of hers.

She flushed further, and she could see a bit of pink on his cheeks as well. {Heh, well...if it's any comfort, I don't care if you're psychic or not. Besides, not sure if you'd wanna know what I'm thinking about right now.} She winked at him, surprising him slightly.

Laughing a bit, he poked her cheek with his hand. "I can take a guess. I don't need to be psychic to know what you're thinking." He said as he leaned in slightly.

{Oh? So suddenly you know everything about my mind?} She teased as she leaned in closer herself. She put a hand on his cheek and leaned even closer and closer. {I've long awaited the day we would meet together, away from that city. I knew that there was something special about you from the start...and I'm happy I was right.}

Silver felt himself pulling in as well, their lips were inches apart as he was bending down slightly to reach her level. "I always held out hope we would meet each-other again. I never knew how close we would get. I'm happy that it's you I'm with right now."

Suddenly, they both closed their eyes and bridged the gap between each-other, their lips meeting together. Her lips felt different than a humans, in fact he felt like it was even more pleasant than kissing a human woman. There was a spark between them, and they both felt a connection between them deepen even more.

They parted their lips away and looked at one another again, feeling such intense emotions flow through them. "I loved that." He said, smiling softly.

She smiled as well, beaming with happiness. {As did I Sil. I hope you know what you're signing up for.} She laughed a bit. {I...never thought my first kiss would be with you. I feel a little overwhelmed, I won't lie.} She giggled a bit.

"That feeling is mutual." Silver laughed. "I...I hope it was okay I mean...I haven't really kissed many people before I uhm.." Suddenly he was worried that he didn't do it right.

Aqua could only laugh. {Silver, calm down, it was perfect.} She told him. {But...are you sure you're fine if it's me..? I mean...I'm not...I'm not a human girl or anything. You're really okay with me...being me?} While she could just read his mind for an answer, she wanted to hear him say it, and she wanted to trust his own words.

"Aqua, of course I want it to be you. You're...amazing. You've helped me out since we left and even before then. You've been there to support me, and honestly? I think you're pretty cute." He winked at her. "I...don't know the full extent of my emotions but I know that it feels right with you."

She was smiling, ear to ear, she could hear it in his voice that he meant what he said. She began to lean in for another kiss when suddenly a certain Treecko came out from the bushes, munching on some berries. Catching the two about to kiss, the Treecko nearly dropped what he was eating and just looked between the two of them.

"Tree?" He questioned them, pointing between both of them.

"Kirlia, lia." Aqua smiled at him, giving him a thumbs up.

Treecko seemed to have a small smile at that and gave a thumbs up back and then nodded at Silver, who looked a bit confused.

"Wait, am I missing something?" He asked.

{Oh Treecko was asking if we kissed already. He had a feeling this might happen.} She laughed a bit. {Don't tell me you're surprised, it wasn't hard to tell you had a thing for me. There's being close to your Pokemon...and then there's you.} She teased him.

Silver went beet red at that, flustered. "W-What...I didn't uh...I'm not that obvious! I uh…"

Aqua kissed his cheek and laughed. {Don't sweat it babe.} She teased more, calling him babe just to add to it. She couldn't help but laugh even more, and it was the first time that even Storm started laughing.

"S-Stop laughing at me! This is mutiny!" Silver complained, playfully of course as he felt himself get even more red.

Meanwhile, Luke was nearby, watching Silver closely as he had fun with the others. And with this new revelation, he felt a soft spot start to grow for the human, one that he'd been trying to reject ever since he met him.

Hours had passed, Storm and Luke were now in their Pokeballs. It was just Aqua and Silver in the tent, side by side, next to each-other as they'd been sleeping for the past few nights.

{Our first kiss...it still makes me warm thinking about it.} Aqua said, cuddling up into Silver.

"Yeah." He laughed a bit. "I hope it's not too soon for you or anything."

{Pfft, not at all. I don't know how it exactly works between humans, but between Pokemon, it's pretty much instant the moment there's attraction towards each-other. They become mates within a few hours.} Aqua told him. {Of course, we're a little different so don't think we have to go that fast. I'm more than okay with taking it a day at a time.}

"Thanks Aqua." He smiled at her, turning so his body was facing towards her. "But still, just a few hours? I can't believe how simple it is for Pokemon."

{Well, in the wild, there's not alot of time for courtship. Plus those instincts are pretty strong, you can't just ignore them. If you like someone and the other likes you, why not team up and make a family? It makes sense to me.}

"I suppose thinking about it that way it makes sense, plus I don't imagine that there's alot of time to choose between partners so.."

{You're absolutely correct.} She smiled at him, looking into his red eyes. {Survival has always been in a Pokemon's nature, and we've had to adapt and change along with the world. Such as being under a trainer and fighting for him. Sure it may seem cruel on paper and sometimes it is...but we get regularly fed, we grow stronger, and we get to enjoy other aspects in life that we otherwise wouldn't be able to.}

"Yeah, I do spoil you a bit, I was just thinking I needed to cut back on that." Silver teased.

{W-What? No! How dare you} She playfully pouted. {I need those massages! And the berries! And the warm tent!}

"Anything else?" Silver asked, smirking playfully at her.

She stuck her tongue out at him. {And you.} She said before she kissed him again on the lips, taking him by surprise. She could tell he wasn't used to it just yet and while she was trying to respect that, she just couldn't help herself. Plus, his thoughts told her that he loved it.

When she pulled away, she'd see a flustered Silver. "Y-Yeah...okay, I'll...keep spoiling you then." He cleared his throat.

{I had a feeling you'd say that.} She laughed before they kissed again, this time a bit longer. {Get some sleep Sil, we'll be in the next city tomorrow and don't worry, I'll keep you safe tonight.}

Silver felt his eyes grow heavy as he finally closed them, smiling to himself. "I feel safer already." He chuckled.

The two of them cuddled into each-other for the rest of the night, falling asleep rather quickly with smiles on their faces.
