Opera masks, Throwing knives, Lighters, and Fists

Or

Zuko's Angels

Azula Hono had everything, she was ruthless, smart and in line to be the next CEO of Agni Conglomerate. However, recently someone has been hacking into their files and leaking dirty laundry. While it WAS her last year of High School, there was no reason to earn more brownie points with Father.

Zuko x Azula x Mai x Ty Lee

Disclaimer: I don't own Atla, but if I did Zuko would've cooked Azula with her own lightning in the finale.

Author's note: I fucking hate Ozai.

Prologue-

"Today another tragedy has struck one of Japan's pillars of Industry, the Hono family.

A week ago, the son of Iroh, the company's CSO, Lu Ten was killed in an accident in the company's construction site which was to be their new headquarters in the region. The grieving father refused to comment and retreated to a family estate in Hokkaido.

However, two days ago the long-time majority shareholder and CEO of company Azulon Hono passed away in his sleep and while the family was already grieving the loss of a father and grandfather, a more sinister event claimed his son's wife's life.

Ursa Hono, the wife of Ozai Hono, the former Lead Independent Director and current acting CEO was killed in a firebomb which exploded as she was returning home from the visit to her parents. The bereaved family refused to comment on the situation, only promising that the ones guilty of this will be brought to justice and that the police is already investigating the matter.

Is there any correlation of this string of tragedies?

Ursa Hono nee Kirameki married her husband after graduating Tokyo University, gifting him with two children- a son and a daughter. While currently there is no concrete evidence, the investigators suggests that this could have been the actions of the infamous Korean eco-terrorist organization "Moon and Ocean" or the infamous Earth Palace Triad, who have attempted to intimidate the conglomerate

This was Hina Tanaka reporting live from the Hono Tower, Tokyo"

"And Cut!" the cameraman turned off his device and the brown-haired reporter sighed as she withdrew a pack of cigarettes from her blazer's pocket.

"Do you buy this crap?" she lit the smoke and with the microphone still in her hands, the woman made clear effort to be more silent as they hadn't cleared from the vicinity.

"It's obviously fishy, but we don't know the whole truth and I'd sleep much better in the night if I never thought about this"

Further from them, the cameraman spied the rest of the reporters from various media networks pulling off as the press release was over and there wouldn't be any more use getting more information as no lower employees knew anything and only the confidants of the Hono's would be privy to the information and there was no way in hell that they would breach their well-paid contracts and discard their privileges by letting their tongues wag.

"Yeah, there's something wrong with all of this" Hina took the cigarette out of her mouth "Then again messing with global companies is bad enough for one's health. Even if we did find anything they have too much money and favors to throw around. Best case we'd just lose our jobs…"

"Hopefully the kids will be alright"

"You're a funny guy, Satoshi" the reporter shook her head "There is no way in hell that they would be alright after something like this."

"I think that we best get the van stashed back at the office and go for drinks"

"Yeah, that'd be best"

With that the two departed the scene, being none the wiser that what they were witnessing was the beginning of a twisted tale of love and hate that would burst like a long dormant volcano, threatening to consume the giant of the industry.

Two days later.

Doctor Hasegawa gripped his mug tightly. The private Caldera Clinic was one of the better paying private medical institutions in the country, but the schedule was unpredictable and prone to some of the more gruelling operations in this career.

Thankfully, the cases when something happened during the night were low and that was one of the many reasons why he had chosen to take his shift later. It was peaceful in the high tech facility with only a skeleton staff for company.

Though sometimes he had nights like these.

If you wanted to work for the Hono's you had to accept that they had their own rules that needed to be obeyed and what many did not know, was that the illustrious conglomerate had a more shadowy arm of business.

The men in black and red suits with golden flame pins on their jacket lapels were almost never spoken about, but their cold presence was never unnoticed when they needed the services of the hospital. Though when they needed service it was to be given unconditionally and quickly.

"Sir, the patient will be in the operation hall 2 in 3 minutes"

"What's the damage?"

"Age 10, male, Large 2nd degree burns on the left side of the face, damages to the left eye unknown" the nurse read out from the sheet on his notepad and Hasegawa cringed.

He himself had a little girl that had started elementary school this year and hearing of the patient's condition it made his blood run cold as he knew that he didn't want to know anything more about the case. Whoever the child was, he was important.

As he put on the scrubs and his gloves, the doctor walked out of his office and with hadste approached the operation hall 2. Next to the glass door stood two tall and very dreary looking suits, the infamous golden lapel pin glinting in the shadows. Their eyes were covered with sunglasses and for the doctor it was relief, for he certainly thought that if they would discard their eyewear, these men would have looked even more frightful.

"Good evening Doctor" one to the right of the door greeted him "Please pay no attention to the patient, the trauma boy suffered was quite the ordeal and may act delusional"

That didn't sound good at all, but as a doctor he couldn't stop himself.

"Who is the boy and what happened to him?"

"Better for you to not know " the more talkative of men placed his gloved hand on the frightened doctor's shoulder "You have made a great career here, no sense to ruin it with your pestering, right?"

Swallowing spit that had gathered in his throat, the doctor shakingly nodded and prayed to whatever deity was listening that he was only a man. The glass doors parted, and Dr. Hasegawa stepped into the surgery room, where the nurses were already doing their work. The boy who was being bandaged and treated looked at the man and he felt his very soul freeze as a single golden eye looked at him.

Rather it looked past him, as if the boy sitting there was nothing more than a shell, his soul departed elsewhere. What was worse that the report had lied about the extent of the child's injuries. His neck and chest were covered in red bruises.

It was no surprise that the first thing Hasegawa did when he got home was to pull out a bottle of sake.

A.N: Wanted to write this for a while, my spin on Atla modern AU. Ozai is a monster that got off too easily in the show, but I digress as it's a kid's cartoon. The TES/Malekith chapter is 2,5k words in progress, but since Skyrim AE was released, I need to get my mods patched before I can continue this particular playthrough. Your comments and energy feed my writing process, so do please leave a comment.
