While a young Hiccup is stuck working the counter at the forge, he observes people and events through the window. One day, he witnesses something suspicious and horrifying, and becomes consumed with figuring out the truth of what really happened.

It has been six months since the end of the Blight and now it is up to the new Warden Commander to rebuild the order within Midgard. However, the Darkspawn don't seem to be returning into the Deep Roads instead fighting each other and the innocent people of Midgard caught in the middle. It is now up to the new Commander of the Grey to re-establish order.
