Kairi and Naruto tailed Sarai. Kairi tried to focus as best as she could. She was still a little overwhelmed by seeing her father.

She started to think about everything. The seal in her time, was placed there by her father. Was this the mission, when he placed it? Kairi should have asked Tsunade what the mission was, but how was she supposed to know they'd be sent back in time?

"Hey Kairi," Naruto suddenly said.

"Yeah?"

"That blond guy," Naruto wondered, "I've been thinking," he looked at Kairi, confused.

"What?"

"I don't know why, but you kinda look like him."

Kairi bit the inside of her cheek from reacting. Kairi had been told her face resembled their father, while Naruto's face resembled their mother. Kairi swallowed. She wanted to tell Naruto the truth, but when she told Naruto their parents chakra was in their seals, he made her stop before she could tell him, who they were. He wanted to meet them himself. Kairi swallowed, deciding to mask her unease.

"Really?" Kairi asked annoyed, "I look a man? Yeah, that's what every girl wants to hear Naruto."

"What?" Naruto said in a flustered tone, "That's not what I meant, I mean. You just look like him."

"And he's a man," Kairi pointed out.

"No that's not- uh…" Naruto groaned, dropping the topic like Kairi wanted. She felt a little bad for messing with him like that, but she had to get him off track. Sometimes, Naruto figured things out without meaning to. He could somehow be smart and dumb at the same time!

They watched Sarai go up in an elevator. Kairi used flowmotion to scale the tower, while Naruto used chakra.

The elevator stopped at a certain floor and she got off.

"Where's she going?" Naruto asked.

"If she's going to Mukade, we'll have to be careful," Kairi thought.

Suddenly, someone grabbed Sarai and pulled her into a room where the twins couldn't see her.

"Oh, no," Kairi threw her Keyblade through the window. She grabbed Naruto and teleported them to their weapon, "Sarai hang on!"

Kairi grabbed her Keyblade and Naruto pulled out his chakra blade. The opened the door to the room. Standing in front of Sarai were a group a masked people holding pitchforks.

"Sarai!" Naruto shouted.

Kairi quickly got in front of the Queen holding her Keyblade out in protection, with Naruto, "How about you pick on someone who can actually fight?"

"Yeah, get away from her."

One of the figures squeaked in fear, "Please don't kill me I don't wanna die!"

"Huh?" Naruto and Kairi asked.

The lights turned on. Kairi used her sensory skill, "You… you're all harmless." They didn't have high chakra. They must have been civilians, or farmers by the looks of their tools.

"Who the heck are you guys?" Naruto asked.

The people took off their masks. They were mostly women and children.

The one that was just begging for his life stepped forward, "My name's Sirai, and I'm not a bad guy I swear."

"And my name's Mosiko," one of the women introduced, she bowed, "Please forgive us."

"We just wanted Queen Sarai to hear our plea, and we couldn't get to talk to her otherwise."

Kairi looked at Sarai, "Don't you hold audiences?"

"What?"

"Audiences," Kairi clarified, "When the Queen or King, take time to listen to their subjects about matters they want addressed."

"Onrokuzon never told me about anyone wishing to see me," Sarai said. She looked back at the people, "Just tell me, what is it that you want me to return?"

The group went down to a parade that was being held. There was music, people cheering, and fireworks. Still something didn't sit right with Kairi. She recalled earlier how the people reacted, or lack of reaction, when Sarai fell.

"How beautiful," Sarai said, "It's so wonderful seeing the parade from down here, isn't it?"

"I think you're missing the-…"

"A while ago," Sarai ignored Naruto, "Onrokuzon started this parade in my honor. I was still grieving over the loss of my mother. So, he and my people tried to cheer me up."

Sirai looked away bitter, "You know that's kind of funny."

"And what is so funny about that?"

"That all of your people actually make fun of you and call you, the Puppet Princess."

"What, why would they call me that?"

"Hush now, not another word."

"No," Kairi said, "Why do they call her?" Sarai clearly didn't understand what was going on.

"Please forgive him your majesty," Mosiko said, "But I don't blame him for speaking what's on his mind. Most of us had close family members taken away from us suddenly. And because of all the orders you gave."

"Wait is that true?" Naruto asked.

"No, it's a lie. I've never given such an order!" Sarai defended.

"Mosiko isn't lying to you," Sirai said, "I know cause, my dad and brother were taken away."

"It's rumored, in our land, people are being used to manufacture weapons," Mosiko continued, "So we had no choice but to make a direct appeal to you."

"The masked guy said something about that too."

"So? It's still a lie, if what they're saying is too, then why would all my people be happy, and continue to cheer me on the way they do?" Sarai asked.

"But no one in this city is really happy, Queen Sarai," Sirai said.

"What are you talking about?" Sarai asked, "Just look," she motioned to the parade goers, "There are happy citizens all around you."

Kairi and Naruto looked out to the parade. Kairi used her sensory chakra, her eyes widened. None of the people in the crowd were human.

"Naruto," Kairi whispered.

"Yeah," Naruto picked it up too. He pulled out the chakra blade, and threw it into the air. The chakra infused weapon snapped something as it sailed through the air. Then some of the people in the crowd fell.

Kairi and Naruto retrieved them and brought them to Sarada. They fell to the ground with a wooden clatter. They were puppets.

"It's everyone in the crowd," Kairi informed, "Everyone is a puppet. There isn't a single living human among them."

Sarai, looked shocked.

"Sarai," Naruto placed a hand on one of the puppets, "Just watch, I'll show you," he used his chakra to make the chakra threads visible. The threads were connected to pipes that were in the air.

"It's all just one big marionette," Kairi said.

"Energy from the ley line, flows through that pipe to bring power to the whole city," Sarai said.

"Or, power to these puppets," Kairi said.

Suddenly the music changed. Everyone looked up at the tower where Sarai stood earlier that day. Exiting the tower, was a puppet that looked exactly like Sarai.

Kairi shuddered; it was so creepy. She looked at Sarai, it must had been worse for her.

"What is that? What is going on here?"

"Just what it looks like," Naruto said bluntly, "It seems Mukade has turned you into a puppet too."

"Naruto," Kairi said.

"No," Sarai denied, "I refuse to believe that. There's no way Onrokuzon would ever do that," the Queen ran into crowd of puppets.

"Sarai wait," Naruto ran after her. Kairi used flow motion to climb over the buildings instead. She'd just lose Sarai in the crowd.

Kairi followed Sarai to an alley. The young Queen was singing.

"That's a beautiful song," Kairi said as she approached her.

Sarai smiled sadly, "I remember how my mother used to sing it to me all the time. It was Onrokuzon who convinced my mother to use the power of the ley line for the good of all our people. Through my mother's ability to control the ley line, and Onrokuzon's engineering skills. Loron was transformed into a city of a thousand towers in practically no time. But then my mother died, before all her hopes and dreams for our city could be realized. When my mother died, I had no one left in my life aside from Onrokuzan. I really had… no one at all…"

Kairi sat next to her, "My parents died too. Naruto and I were separated all our lives. It was only recently I even learned I had a brother. Unlike Naruto, I remember my parents. I remember how much they loved us," Kairi placed her hand on her stomach, "And I remember the legacy they left behind, and I need to live up to that, but more than that; they left behind their love for us. Their will to be strong and do whatever it takes, for the good of their people and family," Kairi looked to Sarai, "I bet your mother left something behind in you too."

"Yes, she did."

"You need to ask yourself, what it is your mother left you. You need to ask yourself, 'what do I do know?'" Kairi stood up, "I know what it's like. To have your whole world come crashing down on you," Literally, "But you're still alive. That has to mean something. Look inside yourself, do what you have to do, and don't ever give up. May your heart, be your guiding key."

After a beat of silence, Sarai stood up, her eyes weren't sad anymore; but full of determination.

"Here it is, I have to find out what's going on in Loron," Sarai said, Kairi nodded.

"Let's find Naruto and get this ball rolling."
