The aisles were full of all kinds of discounted costumes and accessories, now that it was getting so close to Halloween. Bubbles had wanted to go shopping the previous weekend, but Clara couldn't make it at the last minute. It was tradition that they all went together, they always had since they were kids.
"Ooh!" Bubbles squealed. "I just thought of something that would be sooo cute!" She picked up a pair of sparkly iridescent wings. "What if we all go as fairies?!"
Kim stopped looking through the bin full of Halloween face painting kits and joined her and Clara by the accessories. "Yay! It's been a couple years since we've all matched."
"We would only have to buy wings, and a dress maybe. I love it!" Clara exclaimed, reaching for a pair of wings for herself.
"Okay who wants which wings?!" Bubbles asked. "I think I wanna be a purple fairy, so I'm gonna get these ones." She exchanged the wings she was previously holding for a different pair.
The other two girls picked out their accessories and decided on colors too. Clara chose green and Kim chose pink.
After they left the department store they went to the mall to shop for dresses.
"I already have a cute purple dress that I've been saving for a special occasion, but I'll look anyway." She smiled, "Maybe I'll find something even cuter."
"So we're really gonna go to Marissa's party instead of Princess's?" Kim scrunched her nose, perusing through the racks of clothing.
Clara held up a green dress and thought for a moment before putting it back. "I heard she cancelled this year."
"Why would she ever pass on an opportunity to show off?" Bubbles asked, confused. "That doesn't sound like the Princess that I know." They all laughed.
"I think it's because of Brick.." Clara said, "I mean I totally don't know if this is true.. but I heard that after Marissa announced her Halloween party, Princess figured we would all be going to hers, since you cheer together."
"So?..." Kim asked.
Clara slung a dress over her arm. "So, if Bubbles goes to Marissa's party then so does Boomer and then most likely everyone will go, including Brick.. and Blossom. Since she's like obsessed with him, she won't want him and Blossom to be together at a separate party."
"Ohhh, I get it. That makes sense." Kim nodded.
Bubbles laughed, "Either way, after how horrible she's been this year.. I'm really glad we don't have to go to her house."
"I like smaller parties anyway!" Clara offered, "They're more.. intimate."
"So... You're going to that Halloween party?" Brick glanced up from his book, eyeing her curiously.
Blossom stuck her bookmark in the page she'd been reading and sat her book on the table. "I'm thinking about it." She said, re-applying her lip balm. "You?"
He watched her rub her plump lips together, mesmerized. "Yeah I'll be there." He forced his eyes from her mouth and blinked a few times to try and get the image out of his head.
"You know it's a halloween party, right? Everyone will be dressed up." She raised her eyebrow towards him.
"Yeah, everyone except me." He laughed. "I don't do costumes." He folded his arms across the chest of his thin white t-shirt. He didn't normally wear light colors. Blossom's eyes lingered on his muscular arms. She could basically see through his shirt.
So much muscle definition… You shouldn't be thinking about him like that, that's over and done with. Move on, she thought. "Figures." She replied, not surprised in the slightest.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" He asked, annoyed, glaring at her.
"It means, you would've physically blown my mind if you said you were dressing up." She laughed. "I'm sure you're 'above' dumb teenage things like dressing up."
He scoffed, leaning back in his seat. "You're lecturing ME about doing 'dumb teenage things'?" He asked, incredulously. "You're the one who doesn't do anything fun."
"That's not true." She said simply. "I have fun."
"You refuse to drink, you definitely would never smoke, I bet you never play any party games.. And what costume are you planning to wear? Probably a fucking angel or some shit.. Typical good girl Blossom." He retorted, irritated.
Blossom's mouth fell slightly open, she narrowed her eyes at him, turning slightly in her seat to face him. "I drank at your party a couple weeks ago." She reminded him. "You should know, since you made my drink."
He laughed. "Okay fine, you had a little more than one drink, if you count the jello shot and the sip from mine. That hardly counts as drinking. And then there's the fact that you never would have made that decision on your own." He shook his head slightly, "You have got to be the most boring person I've ever met."
Blossom felt a pang in her heart, so that's what he really thought about her.. The most boring person he's ever met. She didn't have a comeback, there was nothing to argue. She knew she wasn't as willing to try things as most people her age. Still, hearing it from him.. She swallowed.
He wished he hadn't said the last part, as soon as the words left his mouth. It came out way more harsh than he meant. Truthfully he didn't even actually think that. Why did he say it? Just to hurt her? "Blossom-" he was cut off by the sound of the bell, dismissing class.
Blossom stood up, scooping her book and her bag in one motion and left the room, silently.
"We get it, you two are back together!" Mitch said, awkwardly standing there with Harry, while Butch kissed Buttercup against her locker door like nobody was around.
Butch pulled himself off of her. "We're not 'back' together." He corrected, "We never broke up. It was just a misunderstanding..." He smiled apologetically at Buttercup, stroking her cheek.
Normally she didn't like a ton of pda, especially somewhere like school, but nearly losing Butch had really done a number on her…
Harry sighed.
"Did you decide if you're going to Marissa's for Halloween? Buttercup asked. "Or are you going to your loser cousins?"
"Sorry BC, we're both going to Jake's." Mitch gestured between himself and Harry.
Buttercup scoffed. "You guys suck."
"You're gonna be way too busy with each other to even notice." Harry laughed, "That's what happened at Princess's last party and you weren't even together then!"
"Oh, we were together alright." Butch smiled deviously, eyeing Buttercup. "After the party." He added.
Buttercup's eyes widened, "Butch!" She punched his arm.
Too late. "Whoa! You guys hooked up the same night-"
"Don't you dare fucking finish that sentence." Buttercup advised, the look on her face indicating that she was serious.
"Wait, you'd rather go to your cousin's than a party full of girls in slutty costumes?" Butch stared in disbelief. Buttercup rolled her eyes.
Mitch contemplated for a moment. "Tempting… But Jake's parties are always lit. Not like.. high school lit." Harry nodded in agreement. "Anyway if you're interested in costumes, you picked the wrong girlfriend.." he laughed out loud, ignoring the glare that was being directed at him. "Buttercup has never dressed up for Halloween."
Butch turned to her, she folded her arms over and leaned against the locker, propped up by her foot. "Not gonna happen." She said simply, not looking.
"I mean I wasn't gonna dress up but I assumed you would." He took a step closer to her, "How about just some ears?"
"No way!" She cried out. "If I was gonna dress up then it'd be something scary, but even that's too much work. I don't wanna spend hours walking around a party in an uncomfortable outfit."
Butch faced her, sliding his hand up the side of her neck and then running his fingers through her hair. "That's the benefit of a cat ear headband." He explained. "You just slip it on and you're done." He smiled, flirtatiously.
"Alright I'm outta here." Harry said, nodding at Mitch, to go. "If you need to pop into the bathroom and have a quickie, there's one right there." He pointed to the ladies room down the hall, before him and Mitch laughed, walking away.
"Not happening." She said, smiling at Butch, who was still pouting at her.
For the last few days, things between him and Blossom had been cordial and that's about it. She didn't seem like she was mad, but she wasn't making an effort to talk or anything either. She was just there. In class, they spoke occasionally, mostly about school and that was it.
He'd hoped that things would be back to normal the next day. When they weren't, and when he saw how she didn't seem to mind, or even notice..
He hadn't been able to stop thinking about her. About how much he cared when they weren't on good terms. It was annoying.
For the last two nights he'd had dreams about her. The first one was amazing, it was a variation on when they kissed during his get together. Only, things didn't stop after a hot and heavy make out session.. he swallowed remembering how real it felt. The next night the dream started off the same, but it warped into something entirely different. Somehow they were standing at the edge of a cliff, surrounded by people. She lost her balance and slipped, he caught her by the hand before she fell, but everyone was staring at them.. If he saved her, they would all know how he felt about her… That he'd gotten too attached to her. So he let her fall.
Obviously he knew that everything about that dream was bullshit but it was still haunting him.
Brick let out a loud sigh and climbed out of bed. The Halloween party was tonight. He wanted to prove her wrong, 'blow her mind' or whatever she said. He did think he was too old to be playing dress up.. but if he made an attempt, they would at least have something to talk about. Now he just needed to find a costume. Fuck. Last minute Halloween shopping is not how he wanted to spend his morning, but he was running out of time.
He threw on some clothes and went out to the living room. Boomer and Butch were already up, lounging on the couch, with snacks.
"You two do realize it's barely noon, right?" He asked, gesturing to the chips and sodas thrown around the coffee table.
Butch laughed, grabbing another handful of chips. "Okay mom."
Brick grabbed his shoes from the front door and sat on the opposite sofa, putting them on. "Are you guys dressing up tonight?" He asked curiously.
That got Boomer's attention. He looked up from his phone, "I am. Bubbles wanted to try out some zombie makeup on me." He smiled, thinking about how she'd be so close.. touching his face in a few hours.
"Not me." Butch shrugged. "Don't tell me you actually plan to?"
Brick rolled his eyes. "Yeah. It was sort of a.. challenge. Either way I have a point to prove, so.."
"Blossom thinks you won't wear one." Butch smirked and Boomer laughed.
He didn't confirm or deny it. "I'm going to the store." He stood to leave.
"I need to grab something actually, I'm coming with." Butch jumped up and scurried into his bedroom, returning with his clothes changed.
"I'm going to the fucking Halloween store." Brick laughed, "What could you possibly need from there if you're not even dressing up?" He asked, confused.
A slow smile spread across Butch's face. "I need to get something for Buttercup."
Boomer got to Bubble's house two hours before the party, to get ready. Blossom was over at Robin's and Buttercup was lying upside down on the couch, watching tv.
He followed her into their bedroom, where she happily gave him a tour before sitting on the floor Infront of the closet mirror.
"I'm so excited!" Bubbles gushed, sitting across from him with her legs crossed. She had all her personal makeup pulled out, already on the ground with them. She had also bought a couple of horror makeup kits and fake blood. She spent the previous night scrolling the internet for zombie inspo, and had a few images saved to her phone for reference. "Have you already picked an outfit?" She asked, ripping the plastic and cardboard away to free the face paint.
Boomer glanced around the room, eyeing the photos and decorations above Bubbles bed. He hoped that one day there would be a photo of them together in her collection. "I was gonna wear this shirt." He looked down, pulling at the fabric of his white t-shirt. "But I thought we could tear it, and scuff it up and then douse it in blood." He suggested, smirking.
"Perfect!" Bubbles beamed at him and then stood up, to grab something she'd forgotten. "I'll be right back." She said, leaving the room.
While she was out, he stood up and walked around the room again. Bubble's bed was spaced out in between her two sisters. She had a light blue bedspread with a cloud and star pattern. There was a pile of stuffed animals sitting on a shelf above her bed and photos of her and her sister and friends covered the space above.
He sat at the edge of her bed, leaning over to get a better view of the pictures. Bubbles was so cute.
"Boomer?" She smiled, walking back into the room, noticing him on her bed.
He looked at her, standing by the door and stood up. "Oh sorry." He said, Awkwardly putting his arm behind his head and resting his hand in his hair.
Bubbles floated over to him, looking at her wall. "Why are you sorry?" She laughed out loud, "You're allowed to be in my bed.." She wet her lips and pushed him back down, so he was sitting on her bed again.
He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer, smiling a devious smile. Her breath caught for a second, and a sensation of butterflies ran through her body. She leaned down and kissed him, her hand on the side of his face and jaw.
They had their tongues intertwined when Buttercup walked in. "Oh." A huge smile formed on her face. "Don't mind me, I just need to grab something." She said walking to her nightstand.
Bubbles and Boomer backed away from each other as soon as she'd entered the room, both blushing. "We should get started on your makeup." She laughed nervously, walking back to their spot on the floor.
It definitely wasn't. Princess's mansion, but Marissa's house was still very impressive. Brick and Boomer were led into the living room, where they immediately spotted Bubbles, Kim, Clara and Jason, standing by the un lit fireplace, amongst the crowd. There wouldn't be nearly as many people attending this party, as there had been at Princess's, since there wasn't nearly that much room. Still, there were probably about 40 people already there. It was a little after 9:00pm. Buttercup and Butch hadn't got there yet, and looking around Brick didn't see Blossom either. He wondered if she changed her mind about even coming.
"Brick!" Bubbles exclaimed, "I didn't think you were the costume type." She looked at his cape and smiled.
He rolled his eyes, embarrassed to be wearing it in the first place. He hated every costume in the entire store and had all but given up on wearing one, until he spotted the cape that he was currently wearing. It wasn't much of a costume but it was still more than anyone expected from him.
Another 30 minutes passed and there was still no sign of her.
Butch and Buttercup were in the dining room smoking with some people he didn't recognize.
"Hey vampire Brick, you wanna take a fucking hit or what?" Butch yelled over the loud music.
Fuck it. He hadn't smoked in a while and it was sounding pretty good right about then. He joined his brother, taking a few long hits of the weed.
"Nice costume." Buttercup laughed out loud.
Brick smiled at her, "I like yours too. Scariest one I've seen all night."
Everyone laughed, including Buttercup.
The high started kicking in and he relaxed considerably. He was sitting on the couch, listening to the beating music with his head tilted towards the ceiling.
"Brick!" He opened his eyes to see Princess hovering over him. Damnit. Couldn't he just relax?
He let out a small huff and sat up right, she was wearing a white bodysuit with black tights underneath and a pair of bunny ears. "Princess."
She sat on the arm of the couch, way too close to him and reached her arm around his neck, playing with some of his hair. "I've been looking everywhere for you." She said, in a soft voice. "I haven't been able to stop thinking about our kiss.."
He scoffed, moving her hand away from his hair. She put it right back. "We didn't kiss." He said flatly, "You kissed me."
Blossom left Robin's house, deciding to get ready on her own. She had spent the last week trying to figure out how to prove Brick wrong. His words had replayed in her mind, over and over again. 'The most boring person I've ever met' and 'Probably a fucking angel… typical good girl Blossom' were the phrases that had really stuck with her. She was tired of everyone thinking that they had her all figured out. Everyone that knew her personally thought she was a boring, killjoy and the rest of the school believed anything they heard about her anyway.. Why shouldn't she have some fun?
Probably a fucking angel.. She scoffed. She was going to show him how wrong he was. Show him that he didn't know her as well as he thought he did.
Be bold tonight. Do the things that you don't usually have the courage to do. Try new things. Show them all that they don't know you. Her pep talk was different today than it normally was. But today was a special occasion.
When she stepped into the party, heads turned. She smiled. All she had to do was be confident, and she did like the way she looked. Although, it is true that she would have never made this decision if Brick's words hadn't cut her so deeply. She wasn't boring and she wasn't predictable. She smiled, striding into the crowded room and straight to the kitchen. She saw a group of guys standing by the massive assortment of alcohol. "Excuse me." She said.
The guys stopped in the middle of their conversation, and turned, hearing her voice. "Blossom?" One of them asked, very confused.
She watched as the three of them ogled her. Normally she didn't like this kind of attention, there was only one person who she had ever wanted to look at her like that. But today she needed the confidence boost and the attention, to prove her point. Plus it did feel a little good.. She was playing a part today, not trying to act like someone else, but magnify a small part of her that had always been hidden deep down. She smiled, "I was just trying to make a drink." She gestured to the liquor. She recognized the guy who had said her name, he was on the football team. "Jared, right?"
His jaw dropped, Blossom Utonium was at a party dressed to kill and she was drinking? "Uh, yeah." He said, swallowing. "I could make you something… if you want." He offered. His friends just stared, moving away from the counter a little.
"Sure." She smiled.
When he handed her a colorful drink, that she had watched him make, she thanked him and went to explore the party. She was looking for her sisters, and Robin but also for Brick. Everywhere she walked she felt eyes on her, her name being whispered.
Then she saw him. He was sitting on the end of a couch, Princess was practically in his lap, with her hands all over him. She rolled her eyes. She wanted to walk out of the room, to get away from Princess and her annoying advances on him. But she wasn't making her 'typical good girl" choices today. So she did what she would never normally do. She smiled and walked over to them.
Neither of them had noticed her yet, but as she got closer, and everyone started talking and staring in her direction, Princess turned and spotted her.
Princess got to her feet, folded her hands over her chest and scoffed, looking her up and down, "Blossom? What the hell."
As soon as he heard her name he whipped his head to where Princess was looking and saw her walking over. He stood.
For the first time, Princess was at a loss for words. She just stood there with her mouth slightly open.
"Princess." She said, "You look.. cute." Then she turned to Brick, "You wore a costume?" She smiled a smile that he had never seen on her before.
He couldn't speak for a moment. He looked at the enticing smile on her lips, her pink eyes, something else was behind them today.. not her normal innocence. She was wearing her hair down in loose waves, a pair of red horns on either side of her head. His eyes went to her chest, it was in full display and covered in glitter, attracting even more attention to them. He couldn't stop himself. He kept staring, eyes travelling down her body. She was wearing a shiny red latex dress. A very short dress.. It had a bustier style top, holding her breasts. It couldn't have possibly been any tighter. You could see every single curve of her body and fuck, was it a body. She wore a pair of sheer red thigh highs and red pumps, that made her long legs look even longer. He didn't know how long he'd been staring at her, when she finally spoke.
"Are you a vampire?" She asked, a hint of laughter in her voice. She took a drink from her solo cup.
Princess huffed loudly and stormed off to complain to her minions.
"Something like that." He smiled, forcing his eyes back to her face. He glanced at the cup in her hand.
"You don't look like you're having very much fun, Brick." She teased, "Maybe you should have a drink. Loosen up.." She nodded towards the kitchen.
Who was she? He wondered.
She turned and headed for the kitchen, stopping after a few feet and glancing over her shoulder, inviting him along with her alluring eyes. He caught up to her, watching her hips sway, the red latex stretched tightly over her incredible ass.
When they got to the kitchen, the alcohol corner was free of other people. She turned around when she reached the cabinets and lifted herself up to sit on the counter, next to the liquor. She had finished her first drink and was ready for a second. It was only her second time drinking but from what she'd heard her sisters say, the bad taste of alcohol didn't affect them as badly as everyone else.
Brick stood a few feet back, eyeing her, he watched as she picked up a bottle of whiskey and poured it into a cup. A lot of it. And then added some cola. She held her hand over the top of the cup. She thought about what she wanted to happen and pictured it in her mind, ice cubes. She smiled as the ice cubes dropped gently into the cup, completing the drink.
He smiled, amusedly, as she held out the drink for him. "That's some party trick you have."
She bit the inside of her cheek to keep from grinning stupidly. His smile always made her feel weak in the knees, but now that she'd had a few intimate moments with him.. it was even more effective. She started to make herself another drink.
"You might wanna put a bit less alcohol in yours." He warned, laughing. "You put enough in mine for about three drinks."
She glanced up at him, holding some pineapple juice. "Good."
He stepped closer to her, raising an eyebrow, "Are you trying to get me drunk?"
Her rose eyes drifted slowly down his body and then back up to his crimson eyes. "Maybe." She said, with a playful wink.
She finished pouring her drink, making sure to add much less vodka, as he'd advised. She lifted herself off the counter and back to the floor, picking up her drink.
"Blossom?" He asked, concern in his voice. "You're not.. I mean HIM isn't-"
Her face fell, was she really that boring that when she did something as simple as drinking, he assumed she was under someone else's control? Is that what everyone actually thought about her? How did he expect her to be less 'boring' when he wouldn't even accept it, when she tried. "No." She finally said, sighing. She was gonna have to step it up even further.
Bubbles bounced into the kitchen with Clara and Kim at her sides, to refill their drinks.
Kim and Clara both stopped in their tracks, their mouths open wide. Bubbles was the last to notice. "Oh my god!" She squealed.
Blossom heard her sister's unmistakable voice and turned around. "Bubs, I was just about to come find you." She smiled, like nothing was out of the ordinary.
"What are you wearing?!" A huge smile spread across her face. "What the hell.. You're so hot!"
Kim and Clara and even Brick nodded their heads in agreement, although she hadn't seen Brick since he was standing behind her.
Bubbles reached out to touch her shiny dress. "Latex? Where did you even get this?"
Clara's eye widened a little and then narrowed at Blossom. "You didn't. Did you.. go to a sex shop?"
Blossom's face went almost as red as her dress and she turned to hide her embarrassment, but ended up face to face with a very amused Brick. She turned back to her sister and her friends. "No." She scoffed. "I ordered it online."
"Anyway you look incredible!" Bubbles beamed.
Her, Clara and Kim finished refilling their drinks and Bubbles grabbed Blossom's arm. "We were just getting ready to play truth or dare!" She explained, "I know you don't wanna play, but you can come hang out."
Blossom heard Brick smirk behind her. 'I bet you never play any party games' rang in her ears. This is what she had to do, to prove everyone wrong. To prove to Brick that she wasn't boring. She smiled confidently. "I do wanna play actually."
Bubbles and the other girls all cheered and Brick scrunched his nose in confusion.
"Come on Brick! You'll play, right?" Bubbles asked, not really giving him a choice.
There was a lounge area upstairs, it was less crowded and quieter up there. When they all walked into the room Buttercup, Butch, Jason, Boomer, Robin and a few other random people were already in there.
Everyone turned to see who was there and a couple people's mouths fell open upon seeing Blossom's costume. There were tons of other girls wearing skimpy costumes but Blossom was the most unexpected.
Amongst those whose jaws dropped, were both Butch and Buttercup. "A devil?" Buttercup asked, perplexed. "I would have pegged you for more of an angel type." She laughed.
Blossom rolled her eyes. Join the party, she thought.
"Not tonight!" Bubbles bounced back over to where she had previously been seated, next to Boomer. "She's even playing true or dare."
Buttercup looked at Blossom, eyes wide. "Now this I have to see."
Everyone sat in a circle, moving the chairs and couches to fit their needs.
"Who starts?" Kim asked, glancing around.
Bubbles chimed in, "How about the person with the lowest phone battery goes first, and then we'll just go counter clockwise from there?"
Everyone pulled out their phones and held them together in the middle of the circle. Boomer's was the lowest, at only 6%
Boomer winked at Bubbles, he had spent a few hours on the phone with her earlier that day. Jason was on his right, "Truth or dare?"
"Truth." Jason picked, looking nervous.
Boomer smiled, "Who do you think the hottest girl in the room is?"
Jason looked around the room, and his eyes stopped on Clara. Who immediately blushed. He sighed, muttering "Clara." The room all oohed and ahhed.
A few other people went, before it was Blossom's turn. You have to do this. Show them that you can be fun. Be confident and be in control, she told herself.
"Truth or dare?" Robin smiled at her.
She didn't want to do either, but she knew everyone would be expecting her to choose 'truth.' "Dare." She said, trying to keep her composure.
Everyone was surprised, and it was apparent on their faces. Brick's eyes were glued to her.
"I dare you..." Robin thought for a moment, tapping her chin. "To.. finish Brick's drink."
Blossom's eyes went wide, remembering how much alcohol was in there. She turned to look at Brick, who was holding his drink up for her. She let out a small sigh of relief seeing that his drink was already half gone. According to him, there should be about a drink and halfs worth of liquor in there, and she'd already drank about that much. She walked over to him and downed his drink, trying to fight past the stronger taste of alcohol than what had been in hers. She sat the cup down and found her seat. "I'm gonna be trashed." Everyone cheered.
Blossom looked to her right, at her sister and raised an eyebrow.
"Dare, obviously." Buttercup scoffed.
"Okay, I dare you to have a five minute conversation.. with Princess." Blossom smiled, evilly. Payback for her angel comment.
Everyone started cracking up and Buttercup's mouth fell open. "You bitch! You really are the devil."
They all went to the top of the stairs and watched.
Buttercup floated down to the living room and found Princess, she was with her followers, talking in the corner. She checked the time on her watch and stepped up to her. "Hey, Princess." She spoke loudly so that the rest of the people with super hearing wouldn't miss what their conversation was about.
Princess's face was full of disgust. "Hey, Sluttercup." She smiled, proud of herself. "Why are you speaking to me? Shouldn't you be getting busy in the bathroom with Butch?... I mean Mike."
Buttercup had to fight to contain herself. Stopping her fists from forming. "I'd definitely rather be getting busy with Butch, than talking to you." She smiled, "But I actually came over to talk to you about how much of a bitch Blossom is."
Blossom scoffed.
Princess's eyes lit up. "She is a bitch. And who is she kidding wearing that trashy outfit? She must be really desperate for Brick's attention. As if he'd ever stoop so low."
Buttercup laughed. "Brick? Why would you ever say that? I thought the two of you had a thing."
Now Brick scoffed.
"We don't have a 'thing', it's more serious than that. We're meant to be together. We were having a really good time together before she showed up basically naked." Princess pouted.
Buttercup checked her watch again, times up. "This has been one of the most unpleasant conversations I've ever had. I'm gonna go take a shot now." She headed toward the kitchen, "By the way, you're literally wearing less clothes than she is."
Everyone went back to their seats, laughing. Blossom smiled and her Brick rolled their eyes.
"Blossom. I am actually gonna kill you." Buttercup laughed, rejoining them.
"Hey I punished myself with that one too." Blossom said.
When Buttercup took her seat next to Butch, he was all smiles. He leaned into her ear, kissing her cheek. "So.. you wanna go 'get busy' in the bathroom, sluttercup?" He whispered.
"Truth or dare?" She challenged him.
"Dare." He winked.
"I dare you to never call me Sluttercup again." She winked back at him.
He pouted, turning to Brick. "Alright dude. Your time has come. Truth or dare?"
Brick stole a glance at Blossom, who was looking down. "Dare." He answered.
Butch smiled deviously. "Good choice… I dare you to take Blossom to an empty bedroom and not leave for 10 minutes." He slapped him in the back. "And don't worry, we'll keep playing without you."
Brick couldn't help the little smile that forced its way into his lips. "Okay. No problem." He stood, looking at Blossom. "We spend hours together everyday. What's 10 more minutes?"
Brick wandered around the top floor of the house, until he found an empty room. He flicked on the light and held the door open for Blossom. She went in, silently. He closed the door behind them and looked around what appeared to be a guest room. It was very tidy, and the bed was made.
"So.. Sorry you got dragged into my dare." He laughed.
She smiled, gathering her hair and moving it to her back. "You were dragged into mine too… Kind of."
He raised an eyebrow. "Yeah. Looks like your plan to get me drunk is ruined."
She leaned against the door, with her hands behind her back. "Yeah… Too bad." She was only half kidding.
His eyes travelled the length of her body, "Isn't that dress uncomfortable?" He asked, curiously.
She pinched at the fabric around her waist, snapping it back against her skin. "It looks like it, but it's not really that bad." She said, "It was definitely a pain to get on though. I didn't think I was going to be able to put it on by myself." She laughed.
Brick took a moment to imagine what she looked like basically naked, trying to squeeze into a tiny latex dress. Fuck. "I guess I was way off." He admitted. "About how you would probably be an angel."
She laughed, looking down. "I wouldn't have been an angel. But… I wouldn't have been a devil either." She said.
He looked confused, "What do you mean? That is what you chose."
Blossom looked up, catching his eye for a moment. "I only picked this costume to try and prove you wrong." She told him, surprising even herself.
"Prove me wrong about what?" He asked, scrunching his nose.
She stared down at her nails, picking at them. "About me... being boring." She felt stupid for saying it and she didn't know why she was, it was just happening. "Anyway, I don't think red is my color." She laughed, trying to change the subject.
"I don't think you're boring." He said simply.
She rolled her eyes, checking her watch. Things had gotten awkward and she wanted to leave the room now. "Yes you do. Everyone does.. Even I do."
"Fuck everyone else. I don't think that." He said closing the distance between them. He grabbed her hip with one hand and the other was quickly entangled in her hair as he kissed her, pressing her up against the door. He pulled his lips away from hers and brought them down to her ear. "And you look fucking hot in red." He whispered, before kissing her neck. A soft moan escaped from her lips, as his mouth crept along her neck.
She pushed herself away from the door and into him. He backed up to the bed, holding her, kissing her lips. He rotated, gently lying her on the bed. She grabbed him by his cape, and pulled him onto her, back down to her lips. She kissed him like it was the last chance she'd ever have. He kissed her from her lips, back to her neck, kissing and sucking a different spot when he felt like he was in danger of leaving a hickey. He wanted her. He wanted to leave his mark on her beautiful pale neck. It was getting harder to stop himself, but when he tried to pull away she stopped him. "It's okay." She whispered.
He wet his lips looking down at her. She pulled her hair out of the way, inviting him in. He didn't hold back now. Holding the side of her face gently, he angled it slightly away from him, and buried his mouth into the side of her neck. As he suckled at her neck, his hand slowly travelled from her jawline, down to her chest. He could feel her heartbeat quicken beneath his hand, it was exciting. He sucked harder, eliciting another moan from her. Now he moved his mouth back to her beautiful pink lips. His hand moved down her chest until he was on her boob. She kissed him deeper, and he felt her nipple poking through the latex.
He pulled away from their kiss, taking in the sultry expression on her face and then looking at her body covered in only a thin layer of fabric. He swallowed, as his eyes fell on her breasts, he could see her nipples stabbing through the material of her dress. "You're not wearing a bra.." he said quietly, unsure of whether he meant it as a statement or a question.
"Nope." She whispered in a sexy voice. She reached both of her hands up, grabbing onto the straps of her dress and sliding them off her shoulders. She paused, looking at his reaction. Then she grasped the top of her dress and slowly pulled it down, exposing her bare breasts.
Her body was unbelievable. His eyes lingered on her beautiful boobs for a moment before he slid his hand up her stomach to touch them. He felt her relax a bit, as soon as he touched her. He thought that if anything she would've tensed up. He looked at her face, she didn't look nervous at all, she looked kind of eager.
She sat up, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaned into him with no top on, giving him the most passionate kiss she ever had. She had never done anything like this before, she had never even kissed anyone but him. But she knew that she wanted him. It felt like he had a deep hold on her and she couldn't stay away from him no matter how hard she tried.
"Brick." She whispered.
The way she said his name did something to him inside, that he didn't fully understand.
"Knock knock." Someone said, outside the bedroom door. "It was supposed to be 10 minutes, not 45." They laughed. Blossom couldn't tell who it was. A girl.
Brick sighed and Blossom pulled away from him, standing up. "Be right out." He said, listening to them leave.
Brick got to his feet, adjusting his cape and fixing his hair. Blossom pulled her dress back over her breasts and waited until her nipples weren't erect anymore. Brick bit his lip and walked towards the door, awkwardly. Before he could pull it open she slid her arms underneath his, wrapping them around his torso and buried her face into his warm chest. His arms were around her immediately, pulling her in tightly. It felt like his heart had skipped a beat.
She didn't look at him, "Look, I know that when we leave this room... nothing happened." She swallowed the lump in her throat. She hated that things ever had to end between them, especially when they never even got started. "But, if you ever wanted to.. you know…" she paused, taking a breath. "You could always message me.." she let go of him and walked out the door.
The last dare of the game had been for Kim to go 'interrupt' Blossom and Brick. Everyone dispersed back downstairs to the rest of the party. Buttercup and Butch headed straight for the kitchen.
"How many drinks have you already had?" Butch laughed, taking a hit from one of the many joints he'd brought. He walked up behind her as she poured a row of shots, and kissed the back of her head. "Uh, are those all for you?" He asked, concerned.
She laughed, turning to face him. "No." She leaned forward and lightly kissed him. "You can have one." She joked. "I'm not feeling anything yet. A couple shots outta fix that."
"If I end up having to carry you home.." he warned, giving her a stern look. "Then you're really gonna owe me."
She handed him a shot and grabbed one for herself. "Shut up and do some shots with me.*
They each did two shots and Buttercup smoked the rest of his joint. "What do you think there is to eat around here?" She smiled.
"Damn, that kicked in fast." He laughed, glancing around the kitchen.
"Buuuutch?" she asked, in her most sugary sweet voice. She ran her finger light down his chest, smiling flirtatiously at him.
He smiled a perplexed smile at her. "Yeah Cupcake?" He put his hands on her hips, squeezing gently.
She slithered her arms around his neck and brought her lips close to his, looking seductively into his eyes. He swallowed. "Can you... make me a grilled cheese?" She kissed him.
He smiled lovingly at her, "How could I refuse?"
Butch ransacked the kitchen looking for a frying pan while Buttercup dug through the fridge, finding the ingredients. "Ooh they have fancy cheese." She said holding up a pack of Sargento. She set the cheese, butter and bread on the counter and hugged Butch from behind, her hands moving up his shirt and over his abs.
A smile crept onto his face, as he spread the butter onto the bread, waiting for the pan to heat. "Are grilled cheeses really that arousing to you?" He laughed.
She stood on her tip toes until her mouth was at his ear, "That's not the part that's doing it for me.."
He could hear the smile in her whisper. He put the would-be sandwich in the pan and turned around to see her face. She bit her lip, trying to hide her smile. "Let's.. go somewhere after this."
"I can't believe you dared me to pants somebody. That was so awkward!" Boomer cried.
She giggled, "Sorry Boom." While pouting her bottom lip out, "At least you had a mask on!"
He leaned his head onto her shoulder. "That may have hid my face, but it didn't hide my shame.."
She carefully held his face, trying not to take off any of his makeup. "What could I do to make it up to you?" She asked, flirting.
Boomer lifted his head from her shoulder and looked at her with gleaming eyes. "Anything I want?" He raised his eyebrow.
"Well.. within reason..." She replied.
He stood up, taking her hand in his and pulled her upstairs.
Bubbles glanced around, confused about where they were going. "Boomer?" She smiled, "What are we doing?"
When they reached a window in the hallway, he opened it, climbing through and helping her out onto the roof. "Wait here. I'll be right back."
He climbed back into the house and disappeared from her line of vision. He headed to the kitchen to grab a couple of seltzers, Butch and Buttercup were in there using the stove. What the hell. Who cooks at a random house party? He went back upstairs and started rummaging around in a hall closet. He pulled out a couple of thick blankets and spare pillows and went back to the window.
When he stepped through, holding a pile of bedding, Bubbles keeled over in laughter. "You're so funny!" She said, through her tears. "Did you just steal the blanket off of somebody's bed?"
"No." He smiled innocently, "I took them from the closet." He took her hand and floated to a higher level of the roof, that way nobody could walk by the window and see them. He spread out the blankets so they had a thick layer of cushion and threw the pillows down. Then he handed her a seltzer, smiling.
She sat on the blanket, leaning back on her hands. Boomer sat beside her, gazing at her.
"You're the most beautiful fairy I've ever laid eyes on." He said, touching her wing.
She laughed, "I don't think you've seen very many fairies." She faced him now.
"That's not true." He said matter of factly. "I've seen a lot in my lifetime.. and you're on a whole different level."
She looked at him for a moment, studying his face and then fell back, lying on the palette he'd made. "Boomer.." she started, staring up at the night sky, "I'm really glad that you came back."
Her eyes shined at him in a way that made him think she might actually mean it. He laid down beside her, finding her hand. "Me too."
The longer they stared up into the darkness, the more their eyes began to adjust, eventually revealing hundreds of stars that they couldn't previously see. They could feel the rumble of the house music below them as they lay atop the roof.
"What were you doing all the time you were away?" She asked the question so casually, like it was nothing. It took him a little off guard, but he knew he'd have to open up about their lives before Townsville sooner or later.
"Er- well.. We were living with Mojo, which was pretty cool-"
Bubbles rolled over onto her side, to face him, propping her head up on her hand. Her eyes were wide, "You actually lived with Mojo that whole time?"
He smiled, "Yeah. I mean, I know he was like.. your enemy- but then I guess so we're we… So maybe this is weird for you to hear.." He laughed, nervously. "But Mojo is like a father to us. Well obviously you know he created us.. but-"
"Your relationship with him is like ours with the Professor then?" She asked.
"Maybe a little less wholesome." He admitted, "But yeah."
Her lips spread into a smile, "So.. you were happy then?"
He thought for a moment. "I guess I was. It wasn't until our contract with HIM was up that I realized I wanted a change." He hadn't meant to let it slip like that, but he did want to be honest with her and it wasn't like he could take it back now.
"Contract?" She furrowed her brows and sat up. "With... HIM?" She whispered, a look of concern on her face.
He sat up too, drinking about half of his seltzer. "Yeah. We had a contract for a few years... it ended on our 16th birthday."
"Oh." She looked at him for a second and then looked down, swallowing, focusing her attention on the tiles of the roof instead. Afraid to find out the truth behind the contract.
Boomer knew before he said it that she was going to be curious and have questions.. she would probably even be upset. He looked down now too, unable to look at her. But he had to tell her, he was in too deep with her now. He really liked her and didn't wanna wait any longer to explain things. If she couldn't accept him after this, it would be better to find out earlier. He could tell by her reaction that she wanted to know, but was having trouble asking. "We did jobs in exchange for money and influence. That kinda thing."
She didn't look at him, she ran her finger along the ridges of the roof. "What kind of jobs?" Her heart was beating out of her chest.
He sighed. "We mostly collected debts, but we also did robberies and anything other low level crimes that our powers would come in handy for."
She took a deep breath and looked up at him now. "Boomer, have you ever-" she couldn't get the words out. They caught in her throat, refusing to leave her lips. "Have you-"
"We hurt people. They weren't good people… but still." He paused, looking up to catch her eye, to see the expression on her face. She looked worried, a little sad, but it wasn't as bad as he expected. "We didn't kill anybody." He watched as she visibly relaxed, she hadn't even realized until then that she had tensed up.
"You didn't?" She asked, a little unsure.
"There were a lot of.. conditions… put in place. HIM didn't want us killing anybody or doing any serious jobs." He explained. "If we were to sign a contract after our 18th birthday then things would be different.."
Bubbles scrunched her nose at him, "Why would.. HIM care if you killed anybody?" She asked, confused. "He's the devil."
Boomer shrugged, unsure of how to answer. "I know, but he's.. he's like family to us." He swallowed, and finished the rest of his drink. "He didn't want us to make a decision that would change us… change our lives.. while we were still kids." He told her. "After our deal was up, he told us to take some time to think about signing again. Brick wanted to sign right away and I did too at first, but Butch.. he was bored of doing the same old thing and wanted a change."
"Butch wanted a change?" She asked, perplexed. "I didn't know he- I guess I don't know either of them that well.."
Boomer let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't going as horribly as he thought it might. "Butch was curious about Townsville and we were all curious about you.. the Powerpuff girls I mean, since it had been years." He gave her a half smile. "Mojo said we could stay at the Observatory and HIM fixed it up for us."
Bubbles looked down again, thinking. "So.. you've only been here for a couple months… how long-" she took another breath, to compose herself. "Are… you going to leave?" Her voice cracked on the last word and it sent a pang of hurt into his chest.
"Bubbles.." he started, and then stopped. "I don't know." He grabbed her hand with both of his, holding onto her. "I wanna stay. I wanna be with you." He admitted, looking into her eyes. "But If Brick decides to go… I don't know if I can.. be apart from them."
He looked hurt, torn between wanting to stay and live a better life and being with his brothers, his family. Seeing him this way hurt her too, she felt a pain in her heart. She had lived a much easier, simple life, one where she would never be forced to make a decision like that. He was trying to change, trying to do better, to be.. better. She couldn't fault him for making some bad decisions when he was still a child, and he hadn't done anything too extreme.. He was trying.
She scooted closer to him, watching his confused face, staring back at her. When she was next to him, she gently pushed him back onto the palette and laid her head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around her, looking up at the starry sky.
"Dude, why are you covered in glitter?" Butch asked, shooting Brick a knowing smirk.
Brick whipped his head down, moving his cape out of the way and spotting the copious amount of glitter scattered around his black t-shirt. He swatted at the front of his shirt, hundreds of sparkling flecks danced to the ground, but he was still covered. "Dammit." He muttered. When he looked back up, he caught Blossom's eye from across the room. She bit her bottom lip, smiling naughtily at him, running her finger delicately over her chest for a moment before turning away to face Robin. Suddenly he didn't mind the glitter at all.
Butch put his hand on his brothers shoulder and leaned in slightly, "You're welcome by the way." He hit him in the arm as Buttercup began to pull him down the hallway.
Buttercup put her ear to a closed door and listened for any noise, when she didn't hear anything she knocked twice and pushed her way in. Empty. She threw her arms around Butch's neck, kissing him and dragging him into he room with her. He closed the door, locking it.
"Butch…" she whispered.
He smiled at her, excitedly. "Is this the 'somewhere' you wanted to go?"
"Mhmm.." she nodded her head, pulling his shirt off, and kissing him again.
His expression was perplexed, what had gotten into her? "Buttercup, did all those shots finally kick in?" He laughed.
A little laugh escaped her lips too, "Why.. can't I just want to be alone with my boyfriend?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
He slid his finger into the belt loop of her jeans and pulled her firmly into him, causing her to gasp slightly. "You definitely can.. I highly encourage it even." He replied in a husky voice. His other hand went to the side of her neck, and he leaned down to kiss her this time.
She glanced around the room, making sure the curtains to the window were pulled closed. Satisfied with the amount of privacy they had, she lifted off her faded black band tee and dropped it to the floor, revealing a lacey pink bra. She smiled, proud of herself, as his eyes went wide and his jaw dropped.
"What-… Pink!" He pointed at her bra, convinced that she didn't know about the strange color lurking on her body.
"It's my costume." She said simply, placing her hand against his bare chest, her intense green eyes staring into his. "Do you like it?"
He looked down at her, biting his lip. "Yeah. I mean.. I like everything on you." He said, kind of nervously. "It's so… different." Suddenly a thought occurred to him and he swallowed, as his eyes travelled down to her pants and lingered.
He was so flustered, and cute, she couldn't help but smile. Normally he was strong and confident. "Butch." She said, yanking his attention from her lower region, he looked like he just got caught doing something he shouldn't have.
He cleared his throat, "So.. what's your costume supposed to be? He asked finally.
She reached both hands to the cups of her bra and gently fingered the lace, looking down at the top of her breasts that were spilling out. She looked back up at him with lustrous eyes. "Scary isn't it? It's supposed.. to haunt your dreams."
His hands moved on their own, replacing hers, over the top of her bra. He rubbed his thumbs along her overflow, feeling the softness of her skin, before slipping his hands underneath. He held onto her full breasts, gently squeezing them and bouncing them. When his finger and thumbs found her nipples, lightly pulling at them, her breath hitched and she pressed herself into him automatically.
Her arousal made him want to see what else he could evoke. Since their fight, they hadn't done anything but make out, they hadn't even been alone together really. He had been trying to take things a little slower, not wanting to jump straight back to where they had left off. But Buttercup had initiated this and he was in no position to object. He wanted to erase all the bad memories, and replace them with feelings of elation and ecstasy when she thought of him, and of their relationship.
He removed his hands from her breasts, eliciting a look of confusion for a second before he moved them slowly down to the button of her black skinny jeans. He watched a small smile form on her lips as he undid the closure and pulled the flaps of her pants down, a small amount of pink fabric was visible. He grinned, wanting to see more. He was about to slide her jeans off, but looking down he realized that she was still wearing her shoes. He furrowed his brows.
Buttercup giggled to herself, noticing his frustration and kicked her shoes off, also removing her bottoms. He stared in awe as she stood in front of him with a matching pink bra an panty set. After giving him a moment, she pressed herself against him, kissing him lightly a few times.
It wasn't enough for him, he needed more, he needed her. His hands moved around her waist to her back, and quickly found her bare ass, he grasped it with both hands and squeezed. She kissed him a little deeper, indicating that she liked it.
He looked at the door, double checking that he'd locked it, and saw that the light was dimmable. He pulled away from Buttercup and turned the brightness in the room way down, casting a romantic glow over the room. He could still see her clearly.
When he leaned back into her, kissing her once more, something in his pocket poked her. "What's in your pocket?" She asked, already reaching for it.
He started laughing a little as he remembered what it was. He had completely forgotten about them. She stuck her hand into his front pocket and pulled out a headband with cat ears at the top. Something like that never would've fit in a girl's pocket. She smiled, scrunching her nose at him as she held them in her hand. "Why the fuck do you have these?" She laughed.
"I got them for you.." he said, glancing at them. "Although I guess they're really more for me, since you didn't want them.." he admitted. He plucked them from her hand and threw them onto the dresser they were standing next to. "Anyway, you're already wearing a costume." He grasped her hips and put his lips to her ear whispering, "And you look fucking perfect." He kissed her neck.
She swallowed, "You're so unbearably hot." She said, almost annoyed. He pulled away from her, touching his body to check his temperature. "That's not what I meant." She laughed, shaking her head in disbelief.
She reached across the top of the dresser and found the headband, sliding it onto her head. The band disappeared into her hair, leaving nothing but the two ears poking out.
Butch's eyes lit up and his mouth fell open again. "Buttercup…" he cut himself off, wrapping his arms tightly around her and kissing her. She melted in his strong arms, delirious, slipping her own arms around his neck. He backed her up to the closest wall and pressed into her, kissing her deeply now. His hands were all over her body, wanting to touch every part of her. He craved her. He had since the moment she first punched him, in the school cafeteria.
He kissed her lips and her neck and chest, drifting down. He lifted her bra up over her boobs and took one in his mouth, sucking it gently, his hand was on the other one. She let out a soft moan as he carefully put his teeth to her nipple. A deep shiver went through her body, covering her in goosebumps. He smirked, making his way back to her soft lips. Their kissing became increasingly desperate, and passionate for each other. Her arms rested on his shoulders, her fingers in the back of his hair. One of his hands was holding onto the side of her neck and the other began inching down her stomach, very slowly. His heart was pounding out of his chest. They had been together for a little while now but they hadn't talked about going any further.. He didn't want to risk anything but he wouldn't know until he tried.
He moved his mouth to her neck, suckling on it, while his hand reached the lace of her underwear. His fingers moved across them feeling the intricate details. She hadn't tried to stop him. He slipped the tip of his finger beneath the thin fabric and heard her breath hitch slightly. He hesitated, unsure if that meant he should stop or not.
Buttercup could tell that he was struggling to move forward without permission and the last thing she wanted him to do was stop. "I want you." She whispered in a throaty voice.
He pulled himself away from her neck and looked at her. She gave him a salacious smile and he watched her face as he slid his hand under the lace. Moving down. Slowly, his index and middle finger slipped inside. She let out a breath and her eyes fluttered shut. He smirked realizing just how easily he was able to slip around down there. As he began to find his flow, his lips moved back to her neck, kissing her and suckling at her. Her breathing became stifled as he picked up the pace, her face tilted up slightly towards the ceiling. He pulled his fingers out, and slid them up a little higher now, moving in a circular motion to stimulate her. As soon as he touched her there, her slow breaths turned into blissful moans. He pulled away from her neck, unable to help the huge smile that crept onto his face, as she moaned into his ear. He knew she was close when she clutched onto him. He kissed her lovingly as she collapsed into him.
She pulled him over to the bed, the best she could, sitting down. A rapturous smile had taken over her face, as she stared at him in awe. "Butch…" she tried. "I just-" she couldn't find the words. "Wow." She let out a deep breath. He kissed her forehead and handed her her clothes, putting on his own shirt as well. She sat on the bed, pulling her jeans back on and then her shirt. She looked at him "Um… my legs are shaking.." she said, confused.
His smile widened at her words, satisfied with himself. He knelt down in front of the bed, with his back to her. He didn't have to say anything and she didn't refuse. She climbed onto his back, wrapping her arms and legs around him and he carried out the door, to find a bathroom. She leaned against him, mesmerized.
"Butch, are cat ears really that arousing to you?" She laughed into his back.
"That's not the part that does it for me." He smirked.
