Butch had only stopped back at home to grab his wallet, realizing that he'd forgotten it. He was supposed to be meeting up with Buttercup and the guys at the skatepark, but figured they might wanna grab some food after.
Finding Brick with Blossom, as soon as the house had cleared out was interesting.. He shook his head, wondering how often he had her over. He was sure that he'd get an earful from Brick later, irritated that he'd come home and caught them, he'd likely have something to say about that 'girlfriend' comment too. He just wanted his brother to seal the deal.. Was that so wrong?
After he'd found his wallet, still tucked into the pocket of the pants he'd last worn, he quickly left the house again, noticing Brick's bedroom door was now shut. He made sure to shut the front door loudly, on his way out so his brother would know he had the place to himself again.
When he got to the park, everyone was there aside from Mike, who wasn't coming. Mitch and Harry were a package deal, always and now him and Buttercup were too. He smiled at the thought. Harry was on his board, trying and failing kickflip after kickflip.
"When's the last time you were on a board?" Buttercup laughed, as Harry fell.
He scoffed. "It's been a long fucking time."
"Weren't you just riding over at Ben's a few weeks ago?" Mitch called him out laughing.
Harry's face went slightly red from embarrassment. "Oh yeah.. Well still, I was just messing around then."
Buttercup scoffed. "And what is this... you being serious?"
Butch smiled lovingly at his sarcastic girlfriend, her personality was one of the main reasons he loved her. He took a seat next to Mitch, on the bench.
"Okay then, let's see what you got BC." Harry laughed, nodding to the bowl.
She rolled her eyes. "Butch come skate with me." She kicked a board over to him, "Harry sucks and Mitch is scared of the bowl."
"Can you even skate, dude?" Mitch asked, raising his eyebrow. "And I'm not scared of the bowl, I just.. don't like it."
Buttercup and Butch both laughed at his question.
"Do you even have to ask?" Harry scoffed, smiling. "These freaks are good at everything." He attempted a kickflip again.
"Dude, you gotta practice a simpler move first. Just practice a basic ollie first and then move on from that." Butch suggested, watching him struggle. Buttercup nodded her head in agreement. And then took off in the direction of where the rest of the skaters were, in the main area. Butch followed behind her with one of Mitch's boards.
"Where's yours?" Buttercup asked him, referring to his borrowed skateboard.
He laughed, "Broke it."
She laughed too, looking down at her own, "I've kept this one in tact for almost a year now." She smiled, proudly.
"What's up BC?" A lanky guy with long brown hair nodded in her direction. "Haven't seen you around much, lately."
She thought for a minute about the last time she'd been there, she came one other time with Butch.. but other than that she hadn't been since they started dating. She used to come all the time, having nothing better to do. Now she was happy to spend almost all her free time with Butch, usually at his place. "Yeah, I guess it has been a minute." She said. She glanced at Butch, who was waiting awkwardly beside her. "That's Rich." She told Butch, gesturing to the guy. "Butch." She told Rich, nodding at Butch.
The guys gave head nods in response. "Yeah, I saw your guys' picture in the paper the other day." He teased. Buttercup scoffed, and Butch smiled. "Someone finally made the cut, huh?" She rolled her eyes. Rich noticed a look of confusion on Butch's face. "Lot of guys around here have a thing for her." He explained, casually.
"That's not surprising." Butch laughed, glancing at his girlfriend. She shifted uncomfortably, not liking the topic.
"Hey, you guys wanna smoke?" Rich held up a freshly rolled blunt.
Buttercup smiled, "Hell yeah." She peeked over at the guys and noticed that they were already smoking too.
They sat on their boards and smoked until it was gone. "Let's get to it then." Butch finally said, standing. Buttercup and Rich stood too, grabbing their boards. Butch was the first to drop in, launching into a series of tricks. Buttercup watched him, biting her lip. So hot. He flashed her a smile, grinding across the top of the bowl and then she joined him.
Bubbles had already taken quite a few photos of her and Boomer's ice adventure, but there was always room for a few more. She pulled her cell to take another one, when she saw a text come in from Blossom. The message was from earlier, hmm guess she didn't get good reception there. Brick's number? Didn't she already have it? She made a mental note to ask her about it later. She checked her contact info. When she found Brick, she clicked the share contact button and sent it to Blossom. Then she opened her camera and snapped a photo of Boomer holding onto the wall. He was so cute, trying to ice skate for her sake. When she told him about how much she loved it, she never expected anything like this.
She skated over to him, easily gliding across the smooth ground. He let go of the wall as she approached, and she took his hand pulling him to the middle of the empty rink. "Boomer, you are seriously the most precious guy I've ever known." She put her lips to his cheek, leaving him with a kiss. "It's really cool to be in here with nobody around."
Boomer nodded in agreement, "I think so too… that way I can be alone with the most beautiful girl alive." He grinned. "The last thing I need is some smooth skating hunk to come up and sweep you off your feet while I'm stuck on the wall." They both started cracking up.
"That would never happen." She rolled her eyes, "Smooth skating hunks aren't my type." She let go of him and skated circles around him.
He raised an eyebrow, "What's your type then?" He asked, jokingly.
She stopped behind him and started pushing him slowly, guiding this down the track. "I like sweet, clumsy, pretty boys." She giggled.
Boomer whipped his head around, "Pretty boys?"
"You are a pretty boy." She said, matter of factly.
Boomer laughed, wrapping his arms around her waist. "You know.. you look really cute in earmuffs." He beamed.
"I do?" She asked, sweetly. Placing her gloved hands to his chest.
He nodded, "You're the cutest girlfriend I've ever had."
Bubbles scrunched her nose, curiously. "Have you dated many girls?"
"Just one." He twisted her pigtail around his finger. "One that I hope I can keep forever."
Her eyes welled up with tears. She threw her arms around his neck, jumping onto him, "Boomie!" Her soft lips pressed into his. He didn't want to ruin the moment by falling, so he floated up, holding onto her in the air.
Bubbles always felt like she was high when she was with him, so she didn't notice until she opened her eyes again. She glanced around, and then squealed. "You are so stinking cute! We're flying.." She rested her head against him.
"You fly all the time silly." He laughed at her.
"Yeah, but.. it feels magical when I'm with you." She explained, breathing in his scent. Her favorite scent.
He bit his cheek, trying to hide his big, dumb grin.
She lifted her head, smiling wide as a thought occurred to her, "You know what would be so good, right now?" She didn't give him a chance to answer. "Hot cocoa!" Her eyes were wide.
"With marshmallows?" He asked, smiling. She nodded happily. "And whipped cream?" She nodded again, even more vigorously.
He floated them black to the ground, careful not to lose his balance. "Come with me." He said.
She scrunched her nose and let him pull her out of the ice rink and into the office where he'd changed the music before. Sitting on a table was a Keurig and a mini fridge. He pulled out two hot cocoa pods and some mugs and started the machine. While their drinks were being made, he took a bottle of spray whipped cream from the fridge and placed it on the table. Then he opened a cupboard and pulled out two spoons, sprinkles and a container of frosted sugar cookies, arranging them on the table.
She had been staring at him in awe, wondering how on earth she'd gotten so lucky. "This is the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me, Boomer." She was a little taken back and didn't know what else to say. She closed the distance between them and hugged him tightly. "Thank you."
When their hot chocolate was finished, he handed her a mug. It was pastel blue and said Bubbles on it in beautiful cursive. He had a matching one of his own name. "Where did you get these?" She asked, excitedly.
"I had them custom made." He shrugged. "Do you like it?"
"I love them!" She exclaimed, practically bouncing. "But.. Is it okay if I trade you?" She glanced at the mug he was holding. "I like that one better." Boomer couldn't resist her beautiful, happy smile.
After her and Brick cleaned up, Blossom slipped her panties back on and threw her shirt on, not bothering with her bra. Brick had changed his clothes as well and freshened up.
Looking in the mirror, she realized that her hair was a disaster. A disaster that Brick found very sexy, seems as he's the one who'd caused it. "Do you mind if.. I use your hairbrush?" She asked, shyly. "I don't really wanna go home like this." She pointed to her wild hair. She felt silly for feeling so nervous around him, after what they'd just done.. but she couldn't help it. Usually she left before they ever made it that far. When they were being intimate, things flowed naturally between them, their chemistry took over and made things easy.
She felt pretty sure that he must have been caught up in the moment. while whispering sweet nothings to her, not that she was regretting anything that happened.. She wouldn't. She was glad that it happened with him, but now it was over and she felt like she was overstepping a boundary.
Brick grabbed the hairbrush from the bathroom counter and walked back into his room, gesturing for her to follow. He sat on his bed, leaning against the wall. His knees were bent, and he'd left a spot in between them for her to sit, he patted the empty space.
She scrunched her nose in confusion and then laughed. This was different, but okay, she decided to go along. She sat in between his legs, her back to him. Silently, he began to brush the knots from her hair. She sat there, smiling to herself, letting him. Once the tangles were out, he sat the brush on his nightstand and used his fingers instead. He ran his fingers through the length of it twirling and twisting random sections, running his fingers delicately through her scalp. Maybe she was wrong to feel like she'd be overstepping a boundary. They might be fooling around now, but even aside from that, they had grown closer.
She found it soothing, him playing with her hair. Bubbles did it sometimes, if she was ever upset or didn't feel well. The act alone was comforting, but with him doing it.. it felt all the more meaningful, a private moment between only them. She couldn't imagine him doing this with anyone else, and she found herself hoping that he never had. As he trailed his fingers through her hair, his fingertips brushed up against her spine. She gasped, and her back arched slightly, in response to his touch. She scrunched her nose in confusion.. what was that? He moved and her body quickly relaxed. He found her reaction curious but didn't mention it, choosing to store it anyway for later.
"Do you have anything to do today?" He asked suddenly, breaking the silence.
Was this his polite way of asking her to leave? She wondered. His hands were still in her hair.. if he wanted her to go would he still be touching her? When it came to school or being leader of the Powerpuff girls, Blossom was extremely smart, but when it came to things involving herself.. Her struggling self esteem made her second guess herself often. With her and Brick's rocky relationship, and never knowing how he felt, she had even more self doubt. She thought for a second, not wanting to seem like she had no life.. "No.." she finally admitted. She didn't want to make him have to say it, if he did want her to go. She moved, ever so slightly, about to stand. "But I can-"
He slipped his arm around her, to stop her from moving. "Stay." He pulled her into him, so she was leaning into his chest, between his legs. Her head was resting just under his chin,
She melted against him, their bodies seemed to fit together perfectly, like puzzle pieces. He wanted her to.. "Stay?" She repeated, questioning.
He wrapped his other arm around her too now, holding onto her tightly. He nuzzled into her neck, "Spend the night with me." He listened as her breath caught. He couldn't believe he'd actually said it, but he wasn't ready for her to leave, he wanted to make up for lost time.
She sat up and turned to face him, searching for any sign of a joke.. but there wasn't one. Now she was really confused, maybe he liked her too? Hard to say no when the guy you like asks you to stay over, "Okay." She agreed. She'd just tell the Professor that she was staying with a friend. He smiled in a way that made her feel instantly weak. She crawled onto his lap, fully aware that she was still in her underwear and straddled him. He welcomed her, wetting his lips he looked from her face, down to her lower half. Her red thong, perched on her perfect hips. Her body really was just.. unfairly mesmerizing..
He travelled around to her backside now, grabbing her bare ass with both hands, jiggling it. There was a suggestive gleam in her eye, that he very much liked. He rubbed her butt for a second and then gave it a hard smack, staring into her eyes. A little moan escaped her and she bit her lip. Brick smirked. Holy fuck.. she liked it.
How on earth had she ended up like this.. letting Brick, of all people, control not only her mind but her body as well. But what could she do to fight it, she was weak to his touch.. to his voice.. his scent… mmm, as if she would ever dream of fighting it. He made her want to give in to every temptation, with his hypnotizing red eyes. "I think you're the devil..." She whispered.
"And I think.. you're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be…" he replied, his finger started lightly trailing along her back. Once again, when he reached that certain area of her lower spine, she shuddered, her body pressing against his in response.
"I don't know what you're trying to do Brick.. but if you keep it up, I'm gonna have to stop by my place and change." She raised an eyebrow, warning him.
Keeping one hand near the sensitive spot on her back, he moved the other to her panties, pushing them to the side. She was certainly not dry down there. "Blossom… you naughty girl." He teased.
She blushed, then wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning into her ear. "Don't blame me... for a mess that you made." She whispered. Jesus fuck she knew how to get him fired up. But that tone.. he'd have to teach her a lesson..
As soon as he entered her, she started purring in his ear, letting out cool breaths against his neck. He could definitely get used to this... "We'll stop by your house on the way to dinner."
When Butch and Buttercup got back to his place, the house was seemingly empty. He assumed that Brick and Blossom had left, or that she had left and he was napping.. something. They had just eaten and we're both tired now.
Since the living room was empty they sprawled out on the couch, together, finding a movie. Buttercup got on her phone and started scrolling through instajam. She scoffed out loud, checking her notifications.
Butch eyed her, staring down at her phone. "What are you scoffing about?" He asked.
"Just.. another follow request from Ace." She rolled her eyes. "I've blocked him like-"
"Ace?" Butch furrowed his eyebrows. "As in Gangreen Gang Ace?"
She nodded, irritatedly.
Butch's face twisted up in disgust. "Isn't he almost 30?!"
"Yep."
"Why the fuck is he trying to add you?" He asked, slightly annoyed.
She shrugged. "He has a thing for younger girls, obviously." She said repulsed.
Butch folded his arms over. "Has he ever tried anything with you?"
She could see that he was getting frustrated. "Butch." She scooted behind him on the couch, so that he was sitting between her legs. "He's not worth getting irritated over. He's a creep. I kick his ass every time I see him." She assured him, she pulled up the back of his shirt and started drawing pictures on his back, with her nail.
Butch relaxed, at Buttercups touch. Her nails, scratching at his back, brought him to much more pleasant thoughts. "I like when your nails dig into me.." he said, deviously.
She raised an eyebrow, "Oh yeah?"
Butch's phone went off and he glanced down at it. "Party in Viletown tomorrow night." He said casually, tossing his phone on the couch. "Wanna go?" He joked.
"Viletown?" Buttercup furrowed her brows, "Who do you know there, that's inviting you to parties?" She asked, curiously.
"We lived there for a few months, actually." He said, "So I know a couple people."
She laughed, "How the hell could anyone live somewhere so… vile?" She asked, incredulously.
Butch shifted positions on the couch so that he could see her. "Well… we were villains." He laughed.
"But those fucking.. Powerpunk girls!" She spat, scoffing.
He fake gagged at the thought of them. "Yeah.. definitely don't miss them." He said. "Especially that Brat..."
She looked at him confused, waiting for him to explain. He sighed. "She's obsessed with me. I mean, she was.. it has been a few years."
Buttercup laughed. "I'm surprised you didn't go for her."
He shot a look at her. "She will literally sleep with anyone."
"I haven't seen them in years." She said, not since they left Townsville and moved back there. "But you know… it might actually be fun. Maybe we should make an appearance." She smiled, deviously.
He raised his eyebrow, surprised. "Viletown is known for its killer parties.."
"Come on." Blossom laughed, "He's not even here."
Brick stood on the front step, unsure, not wanting to risk running into The Professor.
Blossom sighed. "Fine. Will this convince you?" She took off her shirt, standing in the doorway.
"Blossom!" He glanced around the neighborhood making sure nobody had seen her and then went in, closing the door.
She smirked, satisfied that her plan had worked and started for the stairs. Brick had never been in her house before.. Why would he have? He looked around for a moment before catching up to Blossom.
"I can't believe you all still share a room." Brick said, eyeing it in disbelief.
Blossom shrugged, "I don't mind. The Professor offered to find a bigger place, but this is home."
"Butch and Boomer would've been dead and buried, if we shared a room."
She laughed, rolling her eyes, and walked to the closet to grab a bag.
Looking around the room, he noticed how tidy and separated everything was. Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup each had a section decorated in their own color. He was looking at the dozens of stickers that had been slapped onto Buttercup's dresser, when he noticed something stuck to the bathroom mirror. Blossom saw him walking into the bathroom and didn't pay any mind, continuing to pack her bag. But then she remembered..
"What is this?" He held up a sticky note, laughing.
Blossom hurried to where he stood and snatched the note away, crumpling it up. "Nothing!" She said, folding her arms. He slithered his fingers into the loops of her jeans, pulling her towards him. His hot breath in her ear, "Come on.. you can tell me." He teased.
When he pulled away, Blossom took a deep breath, feeling flushed. "I just needed some encouragement." She said, finally.
"For?" He raised an eyebrow, curiously.
She rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone, doing something quickly, before handing it to him. She had a huge grin plastered to her face as Brick read what was on her screen.
His jaw dropped, "You were gonna cave?" He met her gaze, she was smiling.
"Bubbles is usually a fast replier. If she would've tested me back like she normally does.."
"Then I would have won?" He asked, shaking his head in disbelief. "I still did win." He touched her cheek gently.
She bit her lip. "I don't think things would have happened the way they did today, If you wouldn't have messaged me first." It had been his words more than anything that had gotten them to the next step and if she would've messaged him then he likely wouldn't have said those things. He would've been too cocky about 'winning'.
"I don't think so either." He admitted, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
Blossom swallowed and then returned to her packing. Brick stood near her bed, waiting. She knelt down at the side of her bed and opened one of the drawers that he'd hadn't even noticed were there. His eyes lit up, and he was immediately at her side, eyeing her collection of undergarments.
"Do you mind?" She asked, jokingly.
Brick smirked. "Oh, did you need help picking something?" He asked, only half joking. "Because I'm here if you need a hand."
"Well if you're that desperate to touch my underwear-" she was cut off by his eager hands, already making their way into the drawer. She was really surprised that he actually went for it, but she didn't mind. She found it amusing, sort of.. cute.
Brick held up a purple ruffled pair and then a pink lacey pair. "I can't believe you wear thongs... I always thought you would wear something more-"
"Let me guess.. boring?" She laughed.
He rolled his eyes, "I was gonna say wholesome." He said. "Maybe something with the days of the week on them, or little pictures or something."
Blossom blushed slightly. Hesitating for a moment and then she knelt down and pulled open a second drawer, rummaging around. "Something like this?" She threw the pair of panties at him.
He held them up and examined them. They were white, and said 'Friday' in pink text, surrounded by little hearts and stars. They were one of the only pairs he'd seen that weren't a thong, they looked like they'd at least cover something, maybe half of her butt? He was torn between a white strappy pair and the cute day of the week ones, looking back and forth between the two.
Blossom, noticing his dilemma, offered a solution. "I need a pair for tomorrow. but I also need to change the ones I have on..."
He held out the two pairs that he'd been deciding between. "You'll have to wear the 'Friday' ones today.. so I'll know what day it is." He smiled. "Tomorrow they'll be irrelevant."
She threw tomorrow's pair into her bag and started to strip her clothes off. Brick sat on her bed and watched the show. Powerpuff girl, Blossom Utonium undressing in front of him, in her shared bedroom, while the Professor and creator of AX wasn't home… it sounded like a plot straight out of a movie. But it was real. The Professor may have an AX 'stockpile' but the idea of him never seeing her perfect fucking body again, suddenly seemed a whole lot scarier.
She took off her red panties and replaced them with the new ones, turning around in the closet mirror to examine herself. She noticed the way Brick was looking at her, practically salivating, and backed away from him. His eyes flickered up to hers and he stood, walking over to her. She made her fingers into a cross and tried to repel him. "Brick. Keep your hands off of me." She warned him, unable to keep the smile off her face.
"Not possible." His eyes flickered to her lips and then back to her alluring pink eyes, he inched closer to her, until she was backed against a wall. She giggled nervously, as his hands went to either side of her, trapping her inside. He brought his lips inches away from hers, but didn't try anything, he just looked at her. Her heart was beating rapidly, with anticipation. She wet her lips, staring back at him until she couldn't take it anymore.
"Fine." she said, finally. "Don't touch me with your hands.."
He smirked, raising an eyebrow suggestively. "Oh there's plenty I could do with my mouth."
Her face went beet red, "Brick!" But he was already kissing her embarrassment away.
"Where's Bloss?" Bubbles asked, confused, glancing around the table. She had been with Boomer longer than she expected and had gotten to dinner a little late.
The Professor finished chewing and took a drink of water, clearing his throat. "She texted and said she was staying with a friend tonight." He smiled.
"Oh." Bubbles replied. "Good, she deserves to have some fun before break is up."
Buttercup scrunched her nose, 'a friend' huh? If she was staying at Robin's then he would have just said that. She shook her head lightly, smiling to herself.
The Professor noticed her smile, "Something on your mind sweetheart?" He asked, curiously.
"Nope." She said. "It's nothing at all."
The Professor set his fork down and clasped his hands together over the table. "While I have you two girls here, I wanted to tell you that I'll be leaving for a short business trip tomorrow morning, I'll be back Sunday evening." He explained what the trip was for and both girls smiled and nodded along, neither of them knowing what he was actually talking about. Blossom was the one that geeked out with him over his work topics. "So I'll message Blossom and let her know." He said, standing up from the table and taking his plate to the kitchen.
"I'll take that Professor!" Bubbles was quickly at his side, cleaning up from the night's meal. "Sorry I was late tonight!" She said, through her smile.
He kissed her forehead. "As long as you had a nice time sweetie." He said, "I want to hear all about it when I get back from my trip. I Wish I had more time, but I've got to get packing!" Bubbles smiled, as he headed for his lab.
As soon as he was out of earshot Buttercup was at her sister's side, leaning against the counter. "So.. Where do you think Blossom really is?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"The Professor said she was at Robin's." She said over her shoulder, starting the dishes.
"No.." Buttercup began. "He said, "With a friend."
Bubbles stopped what she was doing and stole a confused glance at Buttercup. "You're right, I guess I assumed-"
"Yeah, I bet that's what The Professor assumed too." She folded her arms over her chest. "But I don't buy it."
Bubbles rolled her eyes. "Where else would she be?"
A devious smile spread over Buttercup's face. "She's with Brick."
"Spending the night? No she's-" she cut herself off. "Well she did ask me for his phone number earlier.. but that doesn't mean-"
"She's also spent the night with him before." Buttercup reminded her. "And Butch said she was at their house earlier."
Bubbles mouth fell open slightly. "But why wouldn't she tell me?" She looked a little hurt. "I mean.. us."
Buttercup scoffed. "Why would she? You know how private she is. Especially when it comes to him... She's been seduced by the devil and she doesn't want anyone to know." She sniggered.
"He's not the devil." Bubbles said, furrowing her brows. "I like Brick."
"I do too." Buttercup admitted. "He's cool. Way too cool for Blossom, if you want my opinion." The look on Bubble's face said she didn't. "But if that's what it's gonna take to finally loosen her up. I'm all for it."
Bubbles smiled now, agreeing.
"Besides, there's somewhere I wanna go tomorrow and if I'm right… This little information about Blossom will come in mighty handy."
"What?" Bubbles was really confused now. "Where do you wanna go?"
Buttercup smiled. "Oh just.. a party."
At Brick's suggestion, he and Blossom had gone to the newest sushi place downtown. Luckily they hadn't ran into anyone from school, because they hadn't talked about what they would say if they did.
Brick checked his watch as they landed at the door of his house. He wanted Blossom to spend the night, and she'd surprisingly agreed to it, but now his brothers would likely be home.. And he didn't know what the hell he would say.
She noticed Brick looking reluctantly at the door, and bit her lip. "It's not too late." She offered, pushing her hair behind her ear.
Brick opened the door and put his hand on her lower back, guiding her inside. "We're not gonna hear the end of it." He warned. "I already don't.."
Blossom smiled to herself, she was a little in disbelief at the way Brick had been acting today. So different from normal.. What had changed? That wasn't a real question, she knew they had made an obvious advancement in their 'relationship' but had that been enough for all this? He had taken her out for breakfast the first time she'd stayed the night and they haven't done anything but kiss then.. although that was also when things got awkward between them. But they'd been seeing each other secretly for weeks now, their relationship had already been established.. he didn't have to take her out and he certainly didn't have to invite her to stay over, especially with his brothers guaranteed to find out.
A surge of panic washed over her, what if he thought that because of how things had gone today that they would.. have sex? No. Brick wasn't like that. Was he? She swallowed. To be honest, she didn't know very much about him at all.. aside from his obvious good looks, charm and skills in the bedroom.. oh god. She looked back at him as she stepped into the kitchen and slipped her shoes off. He flashed her a smile and her doubt in him faded. Brick wasn't a bad guy and he was mind blowingly smart. There's no way he would think that she'd have sex that easily.
Brick took his shoes off too and locked the door. He could hear the tv on in the living room, and was surprised neither of his brothers had said anything yet. They were definitely home and he was sure that they would hear two people walk in.
He walked further into the house, until he could see his brother on the couch. They were both sleeping, with how loud the tv was.. he didn't know how. It was only 7:30pm, but they had taken naps at weirder times.
Blossom followed behind Brick, quickly noticing that the boys were asleep. She felt a little relieved, not that she was nervous about being seen with Brick.. she just didn't want to give anyone the wrong idea, her and Brick were just having fun. They weren't together.. If people started talking then he might pull away again… it would hurt a lot worse this time, them being so much closer than before. She also didn't want anyone to think she was easy, that she would just fool around with a guy who wasn't even her boyfriend.. but that was what she was doing. She would never have done something like this with anyone else, and if she'd wanted to there was no shortage of willing guys.. Brick was just… different. The risk felt worth it, when it was with him.
Brick walked into the living room to turn the tv down a few notches and Blossom headed straight for his bedroom, setting her bag down. He joined her a minute later, closing his door. "Guess we're stuck in here until those two wake up." He said.
Blossom nodded and reached up the back of her shirt, unhooking her bra. Brick stared at her amusedly as she fiddled around beneath her shirt, and then emerged with a bra. "That's a neat trick." He smiled, flirtatiously.
She laughed, sitting on his bed. "So.. what do you normally do when you're home?"
He walked over to his dresser and pulled out a clean pair of shorts. "First I'd change."
She shifted positions so that she was lying down on her stomach, her elbows were propped on the bed, her face resting on her fists. "Okay.." She smiled, watching him.
"Blossom Utonium.. is a perv." He said, incredulously.
"And Brick Jojo is.. shy about taking his clothes off?" She raised an eyebrow, challenging him.
He scoffed. Dropping his pants. When she saw his underwear she blushed and averted her gaze. "Ah, just as I expected." He said teasingly. "You shouldn't be shy about looking.. I think we're a bit past that." He winked at her.
She bit her lip and looked at him again. She had had her hand down his underwear earlier, no reason why she couldn't look. "Boxer briefs, huh?" She finally said.
He smirked. Pulling his shorts on and joining her on the bed. "Then I either hang out in here, and read or draw or something.. or I hang out with them-" He nodded to the door. "And watch tv."
Blossom sat up, facing him. "That sounds.."
"Boring?" He asked. "It is."
Thinking for a second, "So what's it gonna be tonight then?" She asked, "Reading? Drawing?... Or.. Something?"
"Or something." A mischievous gleam flashed through his eyes, but quickly left. He didn't want her to get the wrong idea about why he'd asked her to stay over.. not that he didn't want to do… that sort of thing. Quite frankly, if she initiated it, he wasn't sure he could pass it up. That was besides the point, though, and unlikely at any rate. "We could.. get to know each other better." He watched her raise an eyebrow, and could tell that she'd assumed he meant it in a sexual way. What else was she supposed to think, when that's the only reason she ever came here?
"I think we already know each other pretty well." She laughed.
Brick shook his head slightly, a smiling curling at the corner of his lip. "I meant literally. Get your mind out of the gutter."
Blossom scrunched her eyebrows. "Okay then.." said hesitated, she wasn't sure exactly what he meant by that.
Brick could see that she didn't know how to proceed. "This isn't a real question, because I'm not this boring.. But for example, what's your favorite food?" He rolled his eyes, feeling lame still, for having to ask it.
"My favorite food?" She repeated, a little confused. "Lasagna." She laughed.
"Okay. Now you ask me something."
Blossom scoffed. "Ah ah ah… I thought that wasn't your real question? You're not that boring, remember?" She teased. "So what do you really wanna know?"
Brick's mouth fell open slightly. "You are unbelievable." He let out a huff of air. There were some things that he wanted to know, and he couldn't just casually ask.. Making a sort of game out of it was the only way. "Fine. Are you 'seeing' anyone besides me?" He didn't take his eyes off of her.
"Yeah I have a line of pursuers stretching around the block." She laughed out loud.
Brick raised an eyebrow, "Is that a no then?"
"That's a no." She confirmed. "I'm sure you can tell by my.. lack of experience." She paused, "Just like I can tell that you definitely do have experience."
"First off, you practically do have a line of pursuers." He scoffed. "And was that supposed to be a question?"
Blossom shook her head. "No. I know you've been with.. others." She looked away, embarrassed to be talking about this.
"If you have a question.. Then ask it." She just shook her head again. He could tell that she wanted to know but wouldn't ask. Part of her whole 'shy' thing he guessed. He was also pretty sure that he knew the question that she was avoiding. "Two." He said.
She furrowed her brows, two what? She hadn't even asked anything. She thought for a moment, that's how many girls he'd slept with? Was he a mind reader? Was she really that easy to read? "Did you actually like them?" She managed to get the words out, without choking on them first. But she was so embarrassed to have asked it that she wanted to die. She felt stupid and couldn't look him in the eye.
"No." He said flatly.
He hadn't even thought about it. Just, no. Her heart sank to a depth that hurt so bad, she had to physically restrain herself from clutching onto it. He just did this kind of thing then? Fooled around with girls, even slept with them.. and it meant nothing? She didn't realize that she was doing it, her hands just moved on their own, holding on tightly to his sheets while she looked down. "Brick.." she had to swallow multiple times before she could continue. "If that's why you asked me to spend the night-" she trailed off. "I think I gave you the wrong idea.. Of course I did, what else would you have expected.."
He was stunned silent, wondering how this conversation had gotten so far away from him. When he realized his mistake, he wanted to kick himself. She shifted, more uncomfortable than he'd ever seen her, she looked like she was about to fly out the door. "Blossom." He touched her chin gently, forcing her to look at him for the first time. "It's not like that with you.." He tried, "I don't even want to sleep with you."
He watched her face fall, and it killed him. She pulled away from his touch. "Oh."
Fuck. Why was he having such a hard time with this? He was hurting her more each time he spoke.. That's the last thing he wanted.
She laughed, trying to shake it off. "I guess I'm not sure.. why I'm here then? She asked, confused. "Unless you just wanna.. do… other stuff?" She furrowed her brows.
"That came out wrong." He explained, "You're here because.. I want you to be here." That's not really an answer, but okay. "If things get that far between us then that would be amazing, obviously. But that's not what I'm after. If you never want to then that's completely fine. But I mean of course I want to sleep with you.. You're brilliant.. you're the most stunning girl I've ever seen." He wasn't sure if he had ever rambled so much in his life. Face palm.
"You don't have to say things like that." She smiled, rolling her eyes. "I'm already here."
A look of irritation shone in his eyes for a brief moment. "Blossom. I'm not giving you a fucking line." His tone was serious. "I mean it."
She stared into his eyes for a moment, he really did seem sincere. Not sure of what else to say she went for option two. She crawled over him slightly, leaning into him and pushed her soft lips into his. He kissed her back without hesitation, before rolling her onto the mattress. "I'm tired of seeing you with a bare neck." His fingers slid across her throat slowly, before he grabbed her face with just a little force and tilted it to the side, putting his open mouth to her neck.
She let out an excited sound when she felt his familiar move. It had been awhile, and although she hated putting makeup on her neck everyday, she found it well worth the slight inconvenience. She felt wrong for thinking it.. but the added forcefulness only further added to the excitement. He brought out her darkest thoughts..
He moved his mouth from her neck, lingering inches from her face, and looked her in the eyes. "Who was the guy you were with earlier?" He raised an eyebrow, almost intimidatingly.
"What guy?" She was taken aback. Still reeling from the feeling of his hot mouth on her.
"Don't give me that." He said, scoffing. "You were all over him.." His crimson eyes appeared much darker than usual.
It felt like days ago that she'd gone to the coffee shop with Emmott and Robin. Was that really only that morning? She almost laughed, when she realized that's who he was talking about." She reached up and touched the side of his face, trailing along his sharp jawline until her thumb found his lips. He never took his eyes from hers, waiting. She was feeling brave, "Did it bother you?" She asked, biting her lip, her pink eyes staring back into his fully now.
"It was annoying." He said, through his teeth.
She smiled, "Sounds like jea-" he put his hand over her mouth before she could finish the word. Not wanting to hear it. She licked the palm of his hand until he finally smiled and let go. She decided against finishing that sentence, he got the point. "Wait. Is that why you texted me?" Her eyes lit up, like she'd just made a brilliant discovery. He backed away from her and sat up.
She wasn't letting him get away that easily. She followed him, sitting up too. He was avoiding her gaze now. She crawled into him, straddling him, now he was looking at her.. holding onto her waist. Boys were so easy. "Remind me to thank him." She laughed. Once again his eyes darkened considerably, this time he looked away from her as they slowly began to glow. Uh oh. Time to stop playing. "Brick." She grabbed his face with both hands forcing him to look at her now. When his eyes met hers again, they stopped glowing. "That was my cousin." She explained. "My gay cousin.. Emmott."
His face distorted into one of confusion and then annoyance. "Why didn't you just say that?" He tried to lift her off of him, so he could get up.
"Where's the fun in that?" She asked, putting her hand to the wall to stop him from moving. "Maybe I liked that dangerous look you were giving me.." It came out in a sexy low voice.
His pursed lips turned into a smirk. He picked her up and flipped her over, so she was on her back again. This time he kissed her more passionately and his hand went up her shirt.
"What do you think they're doing in there?" Boomer asked, glancing at Brick's closed door.
Butch went silent for a moment, trying to focus his hearing. Boomer could tell immediately what he was trying to do. "Dude, come on.. what if they're…. You know.." He raised his eyebrows, suggestively. "Having sex."
"Yeah right!" Butch scoffed. "Me and Buttercup haven't even done that yet, no chance they have."
Boomer scrunched his nose, looking at the door again. "Well.. they're in there. So they're probably doing something."
A devious smile spread over Butch's face and he floated over to Brick's room and gently pressed his ear to the door.
"Butch!"
He ignored his brother and focused his hearing again, and heard Blossom giggle.
On the other side of the door, Blossom and Brick were also listening.. having heard them talking in the living room. Blossom rolled her eyes and smiled at Brick before yanking the door open and grabbing Butch by the collar of his shirt. He was bigger than her and a few inches taller, but that hardly mattered. With a smile, she backed him into the nearest wall. She placed her hand firmly on his chest and ice began to spread over him rapidly. Brick smirked and Boomer looked scared, hoping he wasn't next.
Butch was frozen, not from the ice but out of pure shock. It was obvious by the look on her face that Blossom was playing around, but it was so unexpected he could hardly grasp what was happening. His teeth began to chatter together, as he glanced around to gauge his brother's reactions. "Whatever me and Brick do behind closed doors.. is none of your concern." She released him with a big tooth grin, there was a hint of a warning behind her normally soft pink eyes. She patted him on the shoulder.
He looked down, staring at the ice covering his chest. "Point made." He smiled, shivering. She pointed a finger gun at him and when she pulled the imaginary trigger the ice disappeared. She blew the nonexistent smoke and backed away from him. "What the hell, that was sweet!" Butch and Boomer were both staring at her in awe. Blossom was actually kind of funny and could definitely be scary when she wanted to be.
Brick gazed at her, biting back a smile. He shoved Butch away from the door and pulled Blossom back into his room.
"I thought we were hanging out in the living room?" She raised an eyebrow, confused.
"We are." He guided her hands up to his neck and placed his own around her waist before locking lips with her. She happily accepted, tightening her hold on him. After a few minutes, he pulled away again. "You are so damn hot." He watched her blush. "I don't know how I'm supposed to sit out there and not touch you at all."
She laughed. "You sit next to me at school all the time and don't touch me."
"Yeah.. And it's fucking hard." He admitted. "I wanna rip your clothes off in the middle of class."
"Brick!" Her eyes went slightly wide as her blush deepened.
He pulled her back to the door, "It's true."
Butch was planted back on the couch again with Boomer. When Brick and Blossom came back out so quickly, they both looked up in confusion. Their curious expressions only grew when the two of them took a seat, joining them.
Blossom sat on the empty sofa, closest to the other boys and Brick took the seat on the other end, furthest from his brothers. As soon as he plopped down, he folded his arms over his chest. He could feel their eyes, likely wondering what on Earth was going on.
"Hey Blossom." Boomer was the first to speak, smiling at her.
She smiled politely, giving a nod.
They all sat in an awkward silence, watching tv for a few minutes. Blossom had no idea what movie was playing, and from the looks of it.. she didn't want to.
"So.. are you two like together now, or?" Butch of course was the only one stupid enough to be asking.
Blossom looked down at her lap trying to hide her red cheeks. Brick shot his brother a very unamused look but didn't respond. As soon he faced the tv again Butch started back up.
"Hey I was just curious.. Not that you aren't welcome here Blossom, but.. you've never hung out before so.." He trailed off.
Boomer chuckled, "She was here for our party."
"Riiight." Butch turned back to Blossom, "You we're here… but we didn't see you the whole night." She shifted a little on the couch.
Brick scoffed. "You guys are dicks."
Boomer threw his hands up in defense. "Hey don't look at me, it's all him." He pointed to his dark haired brother.
Butch had a devious smile and looked like he was about to make another stupid comment. Brick decided to put an end to it. "We're just.." he started, realizing he didn't know what to say about her being there, unintentionally he looked to her for help.
"Hanging out." Blossom finished.
Butch not knowing when to quit, "Makes sense." He gestured between him and Boomer. "Our girlfriends come over and hang out a lot too." He smirked.
"Dude." Brick scolded through grit teeth.
"What? I'm just making conversation." Butch laughed amusedly. He glanced from Blossom to Brick. "Didn't mean to upset your girlfriend." Boomer's eyes went wide, he could tell that Butch's jokes were staring to frustrate his red brother. Brick was trying to keep his composure, not wanting to put his brother in his place in front of Blossom.
Blossom could tell that he was starting to get annoyed and appreciated that he was trying to stay calm out of respect for her. She knew if Butch had tried that any other time, Brick would've went off. She clasped her hands loosely together in her lap. "Butch."
He directed his attention back to her, with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah?"
"You talk too much." Smiling, she pulled her hands apart and tossed a snowball at him, hitting him in the center of the face. He was stunned silent while Brick, Boomer and herself broke out laughing.
Butch brushed the snow off, lifting his shirt to dry his face, before a huge grin spread across it. "You know you're a lot more fun than I originally thought."
Brick gave her a look, as if to say he agreed.. in more ways than one. She rolled her eyes with a smile.
There was a trace of laughter in her tone, "Haven't you ever heard the phrase, 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'?"
Butch scrunched his nose, "I'm not into the whole reading thing." Her and Brick exchanged a knowing glance.
"Man you two have the coolest powers!" Boomer said excitedly. He turned to Blossom, "Bubbles told me about the ice skating rinks you used to make."
Blossom smiled warmly, remembering the first time she realized she could create ice. "Yeah I used to practice my ice powers constantly."
Boomer was about to say something but Brick cut in after narrowing his eyes in confusion for a moment. "Did you ever figure out what was going on with your ability the day you lost control at school?" Her cheeks turned slightly pink.
"Oh I remember that. Buttercup was really on edge that day.. thinking Princess was going to tell everyone." Butch chimed in. Boomer nodded remembering Bubbles being worried as well.
Blossom furrowed her brows, turning back to Brick, "No actually.. I talked to the Professor about it and he did a checkup on me, but everything came back fine and it hasn't happened again since then." She looked down.
"Weird." Brick said.
"Haven't you lost control of your powers before?" Boomer asked Butch.
Butch nodded, pausing for a moment to think. "Yeah, but…" He trailed off.
"But what? Maybe you can help her figure out why it happened dude." Boomer urged him. She'd ever heard of any of the rest of them having this kind of issue, so Blossom was curious.. she stared at Butch, waiting.
He sighed. "Fine but Blossom better not freeze me." Everyone looked confused. "My powers started malfunctioning around 15." She scrunched her nose, wondering where he was going with this. "It didn't take me long to figure out why. I'm not saying that this is what it is for you." He insisted. "But for me it was caused by.. sexual frustration." The boys raised an eyebrow and Blossom's mouth fell slightly open, and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "If I got too worked up about anything then the frustration would magnify my emotions and cause my powers to go haywire. Once I found a way to release it, it stopped happening."
"Eww. I don't want to know about that!" Blossom averted her gaze from him.
They all stayed silent, returning their attention to the movie for a while, there was an awkward tension in the room. Everyone was thinking about the possibility of Blossom being sexually frustrated when she lost control and froze the hall. Brick knew first hand how everything went and Butch and Boomer had both heard the story. They knew that Princess kissed Brick in front of Blossom and then she iced the place. Brick stole a glance at her, wondering if she had been jealous when Princess kissed him. Better never to ask.. He looked back at the tv. Blossom knew what they were all thinking, boys were so predictable. She felt so embarrassed she wanted to die, instead she watched the movie, having absolutely no idea what was going on.
After a long while, she decided she was probably making it worse. If she acted like nothing was awkward then they would all follow suit.. she was a natural born leader after all.
Her and Brick both started laughing at the same time and then looked at each other and rolled their eyes. "You'd think for all the money they spent to make this movie, they would at least double check a simple equation."
Brick laughed again, "Especially when the whole resolution of the film is based around it. Seriously. They couldn't get someone who actually knows anything about Chemistry to write it?"
"Or even double check it?" She shook her head, in disbelief. "I mean the whole plot was unrealistic to begin with but this…"
"Amateurs." Brick said. They both broke into laughter again. Boomer and Butch had been watching them, their faces twisted into almost disgusted faces, listening to them nerd out.
Butch stood up, "You two were fucking made for each other." Then he headed for his room.
Boomer followed suit, going for his own room, "Yeah, I uh… gotta call Bubs."
And then they were alone, both of them feeling extremely awkward after Butch's comment. Neither of them made an attempt to talk or move for a few minutes, until the tension seemed to die down. Brick got up and walked into the kitchen, asking her if she wanted anything to drink. When he came back he sat down significantly closer to her. There was still a gap between them and he didn't try to make a move, but he had basically moved an entire cushion over, which did not go unnoticed by Blossom.
She looked at him and bit the inside of her cheek nervously. Why did she suddenly feel so anxious around him? She scooted forward to take a sip of her water and when she leaned back his arm was around her, causing her to jump slightly.
"Sorry, didn't mean to make you nervous." That ever present smirk on his face.
She scoffed. "You don't make me nervous." She knew it wasn't true but wouldn't tell him as much.
He leaned into her ear, whispering, "Your heartbeat says otherwise…"
She quickly looked down, as if she was going to see it thumping out of her chest. He sniggered. "Stop eavesdropping." She smiled leaning into his chest. His hand slowly found her hair, fingering through the long locks.
Bubbles was lying in her bed, flipping through a magazine when she finally heard her phone go off, Boomer's personalized ringtone playing quietly through the speakers. After their date she'd decided to change it to the Nsync song that he'd first turned on.
As soon as Buttercup heard it ring, her face distorted into a look of distaste. "That's nauseating." She got up and headed downstairs.
"Rude!" Bubbles called after her. She answered her cell as soon as her sister was gone. "Hi Boomie!" I miss you." She squealed.
Boomer adjusted his volume, so he wouldn't go deaf. "Hi baby." Her heart tightened in her chest at the sound. He'd never called her that before, she was an absolute sucker for that kind of thing and the way it sounded coming out of his mouth was dreamy. "What are you up to this fine evening?"
"Evening?" She laughed, "It's 11pm." She tossed her magazine to the side of her bed and rolled over to look at the ceiling.
"I know, I can't believe you're still up."
She yawned, "I'm really tired actually, but I was waiting for you to call.."
"I know, I'm sorry." He said, "I was gonna call sooner, but.. did you know your sisters here?"
She smiled, knowing there was about to be some juice spilled. "Yeah, me and Buttercup kinda thought so. She told The Professor that she was staying with a friend." She giggled.
"Well they're some type of friends alright." Boomer laughed. What she had just said played over again in his mind and he furrowed his brows. "Staying?" He asked. "Like staying the night?"
"Yeah." She laughed. "Did you think that she was going to go home this late? It's already after curfew."
He sat up on his bed and sent a text to Butch:
Dude. She's staying the night.
"Idunno, I didn't really think about it. But they said they were just hanging out." He replied. Butch message back two emojis, a finger pointing and an okay sign. Boomer laughed silently to himself.
"You're not doing anything tomorrow night right Boomie?* She asked, "Buttercup said there was a party and she wants us all to go."
Boomer's mouth fell open slightly, "Not the party that Butch mentioned to me earlier right? Because that one is in Viletown."
"Yep, the very same one." She confirmed.
"You actually want to go to that?" He was a little confused. Viletown was well… vile. Everyone knew that. And people who didn't already live there didn't usually go there.
She rolled over again, changing to a more comfortable position. "I think it could be fun. I want to do something different."
"Would blossom even let you guys go? I kind of figured she would have a problem with you guys leaving Townsville for something like this. I mean it's a party so obviously there's gonna be alcohol."
Bubbles traced her finger over the wrinkles in her comforter. "Well actually, normally no she would never let us go to something like this. But Buttercup has an idea, to not only get her to let us go but also get her to go too."
Boomer laughed, "I can't wait to find out what the plan is. Knowing your sister, it's not going to be easy."
"Buttercup didn't tell me what it was. But we'll find out tomorrow." She yawned again. "I didn't have time to go shopping for a new outfit.. So hopefully I can find something cute to wear by tomorrow."
"You always look perfect no matter what you wear." Boomer laid back on his bed, smiling.
Before Brick realized it, Blossom had fallen asleep against him. She looked so peaceful while she slept. He took the opportunity to study her face. She blushed even in her sleep, her cheeks were pink and dusted in a layer of light freckles. If you weren't close enough, you could hardly even see them. Her eyelashes were naturally dark and long, But he could see that she was wearing a thin layer of mascara. He reached over and gently brushed a stray fleck from beneath her eye. She didn't wake up. He glanced at his watch, it was getting pretty late.. So he scooped her up and carried her to the bedroom.
"Brick." She whispered. He didn't know if she was sleeping or not, but her eyes seemed to be closed.
"Yeah?" He said softly.
She buried her head into his chest a little, "I feel like I'm floating when I'm with you."
He felt a pulling at his chest, and his heart began beating faster. "Blossom?" He got no answer. Had she fallen back asleep? Or been asleep all along? He moved the blankets out of the way and carefully placed her in bed. He stared down at her, smiling. Then he realized that she still had her clothes on. Jeans would probably be uncomfortable to sleep in. He bit his lip, nervously and reached for her bottoms, unbuttoning and unzipping them. She didn't budge, so he slowly slid them off of her, lifting her up slightly in the process. Seriously, how was she not waking up? Not that he wanted her to wake up. Because that would be bad.. The last thing he wanted was for her to wake up in the middle of him undressing her. It could easily be taken the wrong way. Now was the tricky part.. getting them past her feet. The fact that they were skinny jeans, wasn't helping.
Just as he pulled them all the way off, her eyes fluttered open. She felt the cool air on her bare legs and looked down to see that she was in her panties. Brick was standing at the foot of the bed and he looked as if he'd just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He swallowed hard. Blossom sat up and looked around the room, confused. "Did I fall asleep?"
Brick nodded, not losing what else to say. "I was just-"
She smiled and stood up, heading to the bathroom. "I need to brush my teeth." He relaxed and followed her there to do the same. She also washed her face, making sure to get off her eye makeup. When they were back in the room, Blossom crawled into bed. Brick turned off the light, before pulling his t-shirt over his head and climbing in next to her. She put her hand on his chest and practically moaned. "If I told you you had a warm body.. would you hold it against me?"
He could hear the smile behind her words and smiled back.
"Come here." He demanded, playfully.
She giggled. Scooting closer to him, they were lying chest to chest. Before she got comfortable, she pulled her shirt off, and pressed her bare breasts into him. His eyes went wide, not realizing that she'd taken her shirt off. He wrapped his arms around her and brought her as close as possible. "Have I ever told you how unbelievable your body is?" He asked, flirtatiously.
"Maybe not in those exact words." She laughed. They laid there for a few minutes, silently caressing each other.
His hand trailed down her spine, he smiled when he reached her sensitive spot. She let out what was basically a breathy moan and arched herself even further against him. "I like this spot." He whispered. He tucked her hair behind her ear and continued playing with it. "Blossom, I've never asked a girl to spend the night." He said softly.
She smiled to herself in the darkness, feeling her heart quicken, and then found his lips.
End Ch 10 (:
Sorry it was so Blossick heavy, next chapter will be more even.
